Yeah i mean the way backpacks from enemies generate loot seems pretty different from chests with loot in the world

Backpacks give fewer items than a single chest of the same loot table

That's just what I've observed

I farmed like 3k endermen before deciding that it would take ages if I didn't change anything, so I modified the backpack config to boost the odds of the endermen spawning with backpacks

0.01 -> 0.5

Still took another couple thousand endermen or so to get two pearls of the void

I believe JEI when it lists pearl of the void as 9x rarer than the other end city spellstone, I got 20 nebulas before I got 2 pearls

I estimate the same loot would've taken 300k-400k enderman if I hadn't modified the config

I started playing the modpack yesterday through prism, and it kept freezing and crashing due to this error flooding my logs - judging by the dates of this convo and the last update announcement it seems it wasn't fixed. The only way I made it stop was to tell prism to stop logging, and that means I can't diagnose if anything else goes wrong. Completely Different damage types i’m pretty sure. It’s like if you play destiny or warframe and you have certain types of damage that work better against certain enemies or damage types

But also the warden seems to be very upscaled in this pack

I don’t remember what enchantments are available in this pack but if decreptitude is available you can put that on a bow and it’ll help a lot since it’s DOT based on % of health

I want to use the Valkyrien Skies and the clockwork mods but the modpack crash assistant prevent me from doing that, how can I turn off this crash assistant so I can run these mods, I know that may cause issues with other mods in the mod pack but I need to see these issues so I can fix them and remove any mod that I wont need

There are a couple cataclysm armor sets that are better than netherite. Also diopside armor from the Blue Skies dimensions has very good toughness but lower armor points but this doesn't matter much if you have maxed out dense skin skill

uhhhh yes but probably not worth the effort

labyrinth of the serpent has some netherite-tier rewards (prob bastion loot pools?) in the loot chests at the end but it's a kinda rare structure

and a pain to go through because it prevents you from destroying blocks to skip to the end

also there's some underground structure that has piglin brute spawners which have a chance to drop netherite scrap if you have cursed ring equipped

but i've never found that structure before so i'm not sure how to find it

also travel by water is easy to make fast, just stack depth strider (overenchant if u can) and the improvable skill for fast swimming and profit

then you'll unlock an extremely broken tetra module that (scythe) that let you have essentially 80% skull drop chance without any enchant (I think you need netherite tho) if you're cursed mode then you can get the chance to above 100%

I think soul scythe head is actually only 25% beheading each, for max of 50% with both L+R heads being soul scythe

If all you have is iron i guess it's fine but diopside is stronger than netherite for tetra and it's easier to get

Diopside reaping scythe is 60% so with soul scythe back end it's 85% beheading

Compare to 44%+25% = 69% for the same setup with iron (assuming 44% is correct idk if it is)

uhh if you only are worrying about cold (warm isn't an issue due to fire resistance, soulspring lamp, etc) then wool is actually better than chameleon molt

also u can undo armor insulation by putting shears in the sewing table iirc

if u want insulation that works for both cold and hot, the options are leather or chameleon molt (molt > leather)

but even molt is worse than the worst specialized insulation (rabbit hide for heat or wool for cold)

and those in turn are worse than the better specialized insulation (goat fur for cold, piglin hide for hot)

Your game will crash if you try to add valkyrien skies without tinkering with the other mods first (that is, deleting a few of them that are incompatible with valk)

Furthermore, it'd mean deleting mods such as Better End, requiring you to add a replacement if you don't want the end dimension to look barren.
Keep in mind that the experience would be playable, but you wouldn't get any support here, should any bugs or other technical problems arise.

this is reminding me of another issue from a few months ago. can you try downgrading the kernel to LTS?

i recall a user had random crashes when loading a handful of modpacks, and using an older kernel fixed the issue

1. try to load the modpack and have it crash your system
2. load back up and take a look through journalctl from the previous boot to see if theres anything that stands out

eheh... sooo. I had tried to updating the system to a more recent kernel updates that must not have reached LTS yet.
So, when I am booting and decrypt my drive, it drops me into GRUB. Something about the boot folder not being pointed to properly. Following some steps I was able to get into the system but clearly needed to fix so I dont have to keep reconnecting my drive by text in grub... and to rebuild the GPU dmks driver, i reinstalled grub and mkinitcpio. But now I am getting dropped into emergency shell when I manually boot.
So I am figuring I should just boot from my LiveUSB to do these fixes instead.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You're either Aspyxiating due to too high/low altitude (use a respirator) or are going through either hyperthermia (too hot) or hypothermia (too cold), which can be solved with water and ice for hot, fire for cold.
And also a sewing table if your armor doesn't already have insulation.

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.

Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

Hello part 2 of my last help, everything work fine now, everything is updated, and I'm not using Essentials. Now I've been messing around with a copy of Instance I've made to see which mods work and which don't and some mods did crash on me. After I'm done I decided to leave it how it is before and go back to the Main Instance (with the mods I've already installed) , Unfortunely now I can't play cuz it crashed and it's saying about CPU crashed. Is it due to me crashing so much that it overloaded the CPU?

Transferring Your World

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

There’s a few, enigmatic legacy have an item that tp mobs across dimensions (forgot the name sorry, just search “#teleport” in jei and it should show I think?), you can use tempad for the same goal (just open the portal on top of a mob), there are also the cage (from, I believe, supplementaries) but that’s very limited in what you can transport

Try waiting around them. They might not have been loaded when the restock would have occurred.
