the threshold switch, whats the deal with filtering it
is it just "if over 70% of this storage is full but its THIS ITEM causing that space to be full, ontly then turn on"
You set a % amount you want to keep
And when to stop exporting it
If it's over 70%
Empty until theres.. 10% left

like if i filtered it to look for sapplings, and it as set to empty over 50% but 60% was taken up by something else, it wouldnt activate cause its not the filtered item taking up over 50%?
You can invert the check too
So you could make it trigger when above 70% and it'd start dropping saplings until the amount you set is left
If you don't set an amount all will drain

and by setting a filter it wants to keep a certain amount of that item
rather than i going "oh ill get rid of the sapplings first, but with the wood left its under storage so ill keep working now" and id end up with no sapplings if i didnt filter it to look for them
I think you should filter the belt to only take the logs
And then a diff one to take the saplings
And I guess destroy rhem

The Tetra hammer is best honed by upgrading it to a quarry hammer, then excavating 3x3 tunnels.
Honing the hammer Tier is done once you MAX out another honing stat. Depth V will unlock the Hone: Tier. It only works once per tool head.
Hence the discussion earlier about the unobtainable Tier 9 hammer.
All tools can be Tiered up this way, Honing an Axe is... not fun.

or compost them and send them through a system to turn into bone blocks, which can be turned into calcite which is a nifty building block or used to automate lapis production which can in turn be turned into prismarine last time i checked
and if you throw the saplings and any of the other compostables into an advanced composter you can get niter and phospher from scorched guns

Durability V... which is ~250 extra durability for netherite/ignitium (significantly less useful than unbreaking 3)... it would unlock the Hone: Tier option.

there are the blue skies dimensions but the things they provide feel not worth it to go
Blue Skies, Twilight Forest, Aether, Ad Astra.
Blue Skies gives you 20% permanent movement speed, and 3 extra hearts. Twilight Forest is your source of not quite infinite Iron/Gold/Diamonds from the Hollow Hills. Aether has Necklaces and Body slot items.

!ea cause we already have a mod that does exactly that, but also essential has issues with corrupting players worlds
The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. Not sure if it's in the pack TBH, modern industrialization uses steam though, so it was a shot in the dark for the steam punk pack since the Prominence pack chat seem to be filled with people less... bright, at this moment. But I did figure it out, it took a while, but I now got auto crafting with liquids. AE2 is not steampunk oriented, so I don't think you guys have that mod.

I think I killed 25-30 and still couldn't get enough to make a full sigil
If you're struggling with getting skulls, I'd suggest making a tetra scythe, it let you have more than 20% chance of obtaining a skull when you kill, the chance scale with what type of material you use yo craft the scythe head module
And then either gather a bunch of wither skeleton spawner (found in the black square structure found in nether") for a farm or just walk around fortresses

You have to go in and place them manually
He also explains that in the video
And you have to break the vault a bit and replace
Because schematic places things with many vaults just don't work
If you want to be safe break all vault blocks and replace them back

I found out about this a bit ago but you can get frost aspect, soul fire aspect and fire aspect on 1 sword

The antique book bag basically get you a weak fire aspect on any attacks if you put the acknowledgement in it
And then for some reason, fire aspect is mutually exclusive with soul fire and ice aspect but soul fire and ice aspect aren't mutually exclusive to each other

The second image, the crucible have frost aspect 2 on the third line, and hilt have soul fire aspect 2 on first line
So you apply 3 different effect each hit lmao, it's funny as hell

Hello, I am encountering a very strange bug on Steampunk v12, I have a server setup on my own hardware and everyone can connect and play on it, but for whatever reason I cannot see the chat of others. I can see their chat in the server console but not in my client. However I can see my console chat and achievements in my client, but nothing from other players.
This is a strange issue I haven't had happen across any other server I ran, does anybody know of a solution to this bug?
I should also mention that other players can see my chat, but I cannot see theirs... on other servers I can see other people's chat, just not on my own

You have the directional arrow sound indicators on at the bottom right of your screen, that should tell you what it is 😄

I decided to update integrated villages, due to wanting the clockwork villages. Is there an allow/deny list for structures somewhere? im not able to spawn them.
Like im using the locate command and nada.
maybe its just that they're insanely rare and i might need to edit sparse structures to let them spawn normally.
Anybody have a good guide as to... what to do? Its so much more complicated than vanilla that I dont know where to start or where to go.

One of the best toe dippers for create is to figure out the basics.
Get half a stack of andesite casings, then use those to automate creating andesite alloys. That's the basis of it.
Then you'll want to investigate ore doubling and what you need for it. So in that same vein automate precision machines.
Then it sort of spirals.

Someone got similar thing fixed by reinstalling their java, but your best bet is to wait for one of the Linux devs to pop up. But for them to help you need to send a crash report

I think i found out what might be causing these villages to not spawn, every single badlands ive found is miniscule.

Because these require badlands to actually spawn, and if the badlands arent big enough, it cant spawn. SO, its possible thats why.
hm, no dice but the badlands are still tiny, iirc i can edit the file to allow new biome types i think ill go through biomes o plenty and give it more options than just badlands because that limits the pool a lot.

I am not 100% sure but I think the better play would be Storage Object (vault, chest) directly linked into your system.
Honestly, if you can get an item vault for it to dump into then have that attached to the storage array, that'd be a hella of a play bujt i could be talking out my ass.
Anyone have some good shader for this modpack that doesn't completely destroy the fps (which is definitely not a GPU issue since it's barely at 16% Usage D: )
Tom has lag issues if you hook up a crapton of chests, But in general yeah Vaults and upgraded chests would solve the issue
yea I have upgraded chests. its just pulling the stuff out of the bore machine chests into the TSS is so slow
it pulls everything out one at a time

If you put either an Andesite or Brass Funnel, you can extract/insert items

im trying to make a spot where i can place down my bore machine when i get back to my base and it just unloads while i go do other stuff
And something like this for the drawers

If the items are going into the storage controller (that middle block) and they have barrels assigned to a block, they'll sort there or if they don't, they'll go to any free one
The connector on the underside is what I use to hook up the Storage Controller + all the barrels to the Tom's Simple Storage
Inventory Cable Connector on any side of the Controller and then a cable connecting to the Inventory Connector
And I have a beacon behind it, but I don't have a Nether Star yet to get Wireless everywhere

I usually have a belt attached to the "outside" Storage Interface's back that slurps up all items and takes them wherever they need to go
The Inventory Hopper is what I haven't used or see a need for
i might replace the chests with vaults and then add a storage interface so when i drop it down it connects to the system

While not completely "protected" If you make an automatic digger with placing blocks everywhere and moving on it's own, you could put a seat and "hide it" with like trapdoors, It's not 100% safe, but a lot of mobs won't even see you

Enderdragon. while no longer borked, is probably the most involved fight. Nether Gauntlet may also be borked with instakill attacks. Leviathan requires specific rare food.
Wraughtnaut is by far the first. Monstrosity, Dinos, Harbinger, Mowzie's, Plant, Candy, Bat are next tier Volcano Dino, Ignis, Mal, EnderGolem/Guardian are the 3rd tier... And everything else requires setup, complicated, or potentially broken.
Blue Skies requires blue skies gear, Aether requires Aether gear, and Twilights Forest is the same its always been.

Scorched guns weapons have a problem with the hotbar rendering, which causes the greying out. And the 2nd part should fix itself after rejoining
I think it's a miscalculation. The wire should probably just make half the molten netherite it currently makes

I'm playing around with drivers now to see if I can change something. I can get 200+ fps with no shader on, and it's definitely not bottlenecking my GPU with that low usage, while CPU is at 50% ~
Before you ask, reason for the RAM being at 12 is that I had a few times when at 10 it was reaching 100% allocation (My System has 64GB total)
It goes up to 35-40~ but let's be honest anything under 60 is already triggering
And my monitor's 144
you have too much ram allocated and you're still on java 17
you also have vsync enabled

It's the same without them, I've been switching things around to see if it'll make a diff, G1GC is working to deal with the RAM.
8GB was stutterring a lot and causing 100% CPU usage, 10 was working "okay" until I turned on a more demanding machine, 10 has shown the best result so far.
I see no reason a 6600XT to be unable to run shaders at 60 fps. I have tried without VSync and unlimited frames, without VSync and limited frames, and whatever combination you can think.
The kicker though, I have no issue getting 100~ with shaders on Prominence (with 8 assigned)

Sadly that way of installing Graal is a bit iffy, I downloaded Graal from Oracle, 21 JDK I just need to try the custom parameters. Also ATL causes way too many issues, and the devs at ATL disc can't fix it(there are others with the same issue as me who were told /shrug). I know y'all like your alternates, but they really don't help everyone ;D

Yeah, you need to make a Precision Mechanism, then make 1 Mechanical Arm and 1 rotational speed controler and then get a brass casing, which was used in the previous two recipes, I dunno ;D

(Sorry for the ping) Took me a bit to setup Prism. The pack outright refused to even try to launchwwwww with GraalVM 21 (Both the automated Script one and the Oracle version I manually downloaded). It ran with Java 17 and the variables the guide suggested.
I made a new world with shaders on and then I copied over my world with Steam Engines and (probably laggy) Torches 😄
fps seems a tad bit better than my previous loading.
Prism skips the normal Launcher so I can't change it manually, unless you have an idea how to force Prism to use the java I give it
(I just had to turn on "Ignore Compatibility Checks" D:)
Fps does drop on occasion to about 45, but that's to be expected with Shaders + Contraptions and whatnot

I was trying to play the Steampunk modpack, but every time I tried to launch it, I got a BSOD. I encountered various error codes, such as: KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION, SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION: ntfs.sys, PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA: amdkmdag.sys, and some others I can't even remember.
I was trying to play using the performance recommendations from the modpack's GitHub, using Adoptium instead of regular Java and the ATLauncher, but it didn't work. As soon as I switched back to the CurseForge launcher, I had no more issues.
I'm not looking for solutions since my problem was solved with CurseForge, but I just wanted to know if this makes any sense to you and if anyone has had a similar experience or something like that.

Hey guys! I've ran into a problem. I am currently in my villager trading hall and the villagers are refusing to restock for god knows how many in game days. I tried every vanilla fix solution yet none is working so I was thinking if it has anything to do with the modpack?

well I do unload their chunks very often yes and I dont know if i ever claimed those chunks no
they were functioning fine for a few irl days but one day they just broke
Well, here's what happened:
- You walked away from the Villagers
- The chunks unloaded (vanilla behavior)
- The Villagers' restock timers would tick over, but they weren't loaded in, so this timer does nothing to them
So, either be near them when they restock as normal, or forceload a chunk by claiming and then... think it was middle click? to forceload.
I was afking by them for like 3 minecraft days and still nothing :/

Required:

i dunno if im missing something with power in this mod but it seems that the moters in new age pull as much power as they can even if they're Full up, for example the strong moter than only needs 60 per tick is pulling 1000 constantly even when full cause thats what the wire allows and its just wasting all my power

For some odd reason, turning on shaders, regardless of what shader it is, causes my game to crash
it should not be a hardware issue, as i am able to use both distant horizons and shaders on other similarly heavy modpacks like ATM9 and such
I have allocated 10GB of ram to the game, and i am able to allocate more so that should not be a problem
my graphics drivers are all up-to-date

Hey people! I've been trying to set up a steampunk server with friends to play with. It all succeded so we can join the game, BUT if we try to respawn we get a double death screen. I haven't found much information about it but as I see it was already reported here: https://github.com/LunaPixelStudios/SteamPunk/issues/266 - there are some videos included on reproduction
- we are all running the client from curseforge
- server is running on my pc and we are connecting through playit.gg, connection seems ok
- using latest modpack verison (v12, jan 20)
So far what we've tried is removing the enigmatic legacy mod as someone in the comments suggested it might be the reason but it didn't do justice.
FYI: was solved by all of us reinstalling the modpack and also re-creating the server 😄

I installed Prism Launcher yday since ATLauncher was causing me BSODs. I made it use GraalVM 21 with the recommended arguments. I didn't have any crashes, but I did get more fps, so I'd say it might help.
Devs usually recommend to try alternate launchers.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

anyone knows how could i possibly disable this effect from lost engine? it has a huge anti-sinergy with guns
it throws of your timing completely and im doing a guns only run
and i really dont want to just throw it away because of how usefull the otehr effects are
in theory it would make guns faster but the actual shooting uses another delay so if you try to shoot again before that you just do the shooting animation again (no actual bullet) and that can make you shoot so much slower

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with.
