yeah, but dont do it directly into the basin, do it to a input funnel with a filter or else it'll deposit the flint too
its fairly expensive but probably the least intrusive to your current setup

yeah it gets stuck on the depot since it doesnt actively push items
when the conveyor moves items onto the depot is the only time the top filter fires

like yeah compacting upgrades exist, but if you wanna make a create factory thats what you wanna do

i mean yeah an iron chest with a compacting upgrade and a void upgrade fixes the whole filter, storage, and compacting bit all at once removing the need for most of that except for the fans

use a pressurized wash chamber and a magnet chest

How. do I make bullets from scratch using create. I can somehow automate copper with drowned but what about zinc. I want to remove any external inputs to make bullets.
You should proabbly check the recipes? Don't recall how you make Zinc exactly, but most likely you can make a lot once you put in a bunch of stuff

when you open inventory there is a book you cant access until you craft and open it. its called book of skills iirc
you can earn more buffs as you kill mobs and upgrade them there
for bows there is a "skill page" that improves ranged dmg

well, i dont think you will be doing as much dmg with any gun except for very endgame ones using very endgame ammo
but they are fun to use tho

Hello! My question hadn't been answered yet! In the steampunk modpacl, there's the rustic engineer mod. (the one with the spider mech, dragonfly mech, etc). I put them down, but I can't pick them up. I've tried all combinations, even tried the wrench from that mod (even tried Create's wrench) but the mechs don't seem to want to be picked up. Can they not be picked up or am I doing something wrong?

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Not touching ATL with 30 foot pole, whoever it works for I'm happy for them, I can't deal with another 8 hours of BSOD's D:
Specifically ATL does, even without launching any instance, it caused 2. The moment I removed it, everything was back to normal.
And that's after 2 reinstalls, a BIOS check and all possible drivers updated

It seems I don't need to report it, there's someone who reported the exact same issue for this exact modpack, and they couldn't help them other than "Reinstall your drivers completely and it should work".
I'll just opt to keep those braincells rather than experimenting more in order to change something that works "acceptably well" (even if not the best). I understand the reason why ATL is better, but when it causes me so many issues, I just feel like it's not worth the hassle 😄
luckily while curse has its downsides its on average an average performing launcher for casual players

Crucible when high level enough do around 60 dmg, 32% chance to crit and do double dmg, always ignore 95% of armor, do extra damage to enemies that are considered boss/have 100+ hp
The image say 24 dmg but there's like 3-5 other stuff that boost your damage
Improvable skill, like 3 different charms, gauntlet, and just vanilla crit
Does the 65 dmg gun penetrate armor?
If you're in cursed mode then you also have access to the neferious ingot thing which should do like 15% more dmg compared to etherium?
And most op of all, the ability to cut off max hp, not sure if it work on players tho
unbreaking and mending are enough to make the respirator functionally unbreakable, especially since the places where you'd need it you get plenty of xp to repair it
i mean i guess the sky wouldnt necessarily have xp, but if you have enough of a reason to be in the sky that long you'd probably also be able to source a soulfire lantern
Pretty sure using create's exp nugget also can help fix stuff with mending
So that's an option if you're in a pinch
yeah, you could, but say in the nether theres plenty to kill to repair, same as underground, in the end you cant use it, and unless you have a sky base you'd probably not have enough of a reason beyond incidental looting to head into the sky. just killing monsters for the tiny xp to repair a 64 durability item is plenty easier than carrying around xp nuggets

Tried messing with the resource pack, but nothing, and if I remove the packs, the block disappear completely, so on the the qty shows.
Not easily craftable but there's curious artifact with magma cream
Basically give infinite fire resist which null the whole problem
Need to find them in small dungeons, then insert a magma cream in lower right module with a workbench
if you cant find the curious artifact and dont want to bother with having to refuel the soul lantern/lack of an offhand slot because of it in the nether, you could stockpile a ton of fire res potions

I have this enigmatic artifact that makes me immune to fire but I don't think it works for the temp for some reason
it certainly isnt the frozen spellstone that promises immunity to freezing

just a theoretical way to have the blazing core retain 'limited lava immunity' while also actually giving fire resistance properly

Thermolith allows a bit of automation with temperature. So put it on the back of the hearth and it'll emit a redstone signal and activate the heat when it's cold(or cold when it's hot. I don't remember which side is which off the top of my head but you get the picture)

set a teleportation point with a tempad where you want villagers, either in their pods or just in a chamber and then find a village and while looking at a villager from 3-4 blocks away open the portal and they'll most likely automatically get sent in to exactly where you wanted

Devs really need to do a bugfix pass on cartographers... they sell maps to things no longer in the game or otherwise incompatible. It can take forever for the game to announce whatever it was supposed to look for is not present, and sometimes does not ever stop searching. Monster Map definitely refused to stop and prevented other similar maps from being used...

I think there is a default recipe active that does not use Gu... but there are several things that are creative mode only in the questbook.
And other things that are simply not in the game at all.

The book tells you to build the Gu rocket and spacesuit. You are not blind, the questbook is just wrong.
Questbook also tells you to fight the Dead King and The Immortal. Both are not in game.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

grab the mob repellant improveable skill. it wont completely fix the issue, as any mob simply fast enough can eventually push to you, but it does give you time to respond. you can find it in armorer village chests

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50
Then, send the link in this channel.
For some reason when we put apotheosis on the server it overwrote the recipient for the tempad, why we couldn’t find it.

Silent Gear is basically the more OP version of Tinkers', and Tinkers' is slightly unbalanced in that tools can just. Do everything, practically, for free. Just slap a sharpening kit on your tool.
The tetra weapons just feel incomparable to the ad astra ores. especially the armors they provide

Have you been searching in the correct biome types? They specifically spawn in Cold or Mountainous biomes, so this includes the Oceans

Hello. Randomly while playing the game, anywhere but usually after at least an hour of playing, my game goes from 60fps consistently to lag spikes and less than 1fps within 10 seconds. It even lags in the pause menu, and when I try to exit the world, the whole game crashes. I’m not sure what I’m doing to cause this.
I’m using Curse forge. The Modpack is unchanged, v12, 1.20.1, the crash always happens and the lag never goes away once its started.

tetra ruins stick up in biomes that have water, similar to amethyst geodes, they're easier to find
i've found 5 ruins in my world, 2 on land, 3 in water biomes
the 3 in water i didn't even need to use a percussion upgrade to find
there's a ton of ways to upgrade tetra weapons, scrolls are very important

Hi, is there anyway to bypass the dependency of create metallurgy? i updated create as there are new things and it says that it needs 0.5.1f or above and below 0.5.2 and i tried to bypass it editing the mods.toml and changing the mandatory to false but it didnt work

as I have 32GB in my pc, I don't need more than 11GB
though I used to play with 14
I put like 10000 mb of memory which is 10 GB
And it runs smoothly but when I turn on shaders thats when it crashes

Yeah it did do that, but what happened was I turned them on in-game and it actually turned them on, instead of crashing like it usually does. But what happened was it crashed and it gave me a JDK crash report something I have never gotten before.

I am pretty sure all you need is just to find the correct essential mod version, for example forge 1.20.1 if you're playing on the newest steampunk version, and put it into the mods folder

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. Considering how it was updated 2 days ago, I'd imagine the devs will need quite a while to workout potential kinks and bugs/incompatibilities. which would also mean any existing repos of foreign mod creators need to also get their works updated.
Or in other words, adding ANY .jar to your mod folder, especially when we talk about modpacks of 200+ mods. You need to look into/fix/be ready for all kinds of potential bugs 😄
the only problem updating is create metal allurgy, however if you just remove it it doesnt work so idk

Mod incompatibilies can happen at any time, for example, mod is incompatible, but only shows when you place a Mechanical Belt and have it move for example
That's why the actual mod authors usually have discord/bug report ticket system where you report what bug you encountered
Case and point, people asking about Valkyrian skies all the time, while a really cool mod, It just won't work with Steampunk
It's not imposssible to make it work, but you'll have to work around bugs/crashes to get it to do so
And as far as I gathered, Steampunk devs don't deal with issues that come from people modifying their version of the modpack (understandably so, lol)
So if you're willing to deal with the headaches, I'd say have fun and do it, I like tinkering with settings, jars and other stuff, but also would recommend having backups just in case
