I'll be honest, ATLauncher doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble...
Installing Steampunk had me manually download about 10-15 mods, because the app "can't do it due to mod owner restrictions".
After installing it and GraalVM as suggested in the performance guide and setting it up so it uses that instead of regular java and suggested parameters, I got BSOD twice, after recovering the modpack instance I had just installed just doesn't get picked up by the app (folder and files are still there)
It now made a brand new Instance (and had me download the same mods/resource packs)
And then it crashed while loading.

I think I give up 😄 I can't be arsed trying to troubleshooting any more, while Curse may be taking resources as you suggest, I think I'll take that(because I've never had it crash) than spending more time in ATL

it's moreso a helpful thing for the behind the scenes if you have a decent pc, but it's like massive difference seen when you have really low end pc. Like for some people that have only 8 gigs ram max

it's the 1.20.1 newest version, no outside mod additions, GraalVM, the crash report threw some exceptions caused by the questfix mod and then the client also had some exceptions thrown by UI, didn't read too much into them, but I think they started with the class that came from the questfix jar

I might try again tomorrow, but atm I'm jsut melted onto chair cuddled with kitty and brainrotting youtube videos

I didn't notice it for a while, but if you didn't know, you can move mob spawners with the Carry On mod, which is part of the pack.

That's dumb. The way CarryOn does it feels really balanced because you can't fight when you're moving them, so you have to be super careful.

hello, after looking everywhere else online that i can think of i have joined this server to ask for help with some sort of internal conflict or odd issue with the scorched guns mod. I cannot reload. the animation starts for a couple of frames then immediately stops, currently the only things bound to the same key (r) is jei's requirements button which i have for the sake of testing disabled to no avail. Bring cooled down waterskins with water or use the item you get as a quest reward for entering the nether, which comes full, but needs to be "fed" with Soul Sprouts that grow in the nether/can be farmed if placed on soul sand near lava anywhere

And there are also accesories and potions that help with the heat

Nope, I don't add any mods that change the game so much. AE2 needs the crater stuff, a bunch of machines, electricity and other stuff and compatibility mods for everything to work well together. If the devs decide to add it like it's on Prominence, they will do it and make it work. But I'm not a modpack creator 😄

Tom's Simple Storage is in Steampunk. Sure can get a bit laggy if you add too many chests, but Sophisticated Storage and upgrades are in this, so it shouldn't get too laggy if you don't go overboard

You could check what resource packs are loaded, see if one of them changes those specific textures, one way or another. Disable ones you don't like/Enable ones you like. Add other ones that you like (If it's just texture ones it should be fine, if you add anything too special, you might run into compatibility problems)

it's a fractured version of that

you put it in a thing call "capsid" then it give you a new version that travel 1 mil blocks in the direction you're looking at each time you open a portal

I'd reccomend making a really big or really fast exp farm tho

usually each time transmuting it only take 3 lvls but in this pack it take 25 levels

with the reset loot table trick you'd need average of 10 exchange to make 10 of something into a stack

if you don't wnna do that then I'd suggest finding a schematic and testing it on a creative server first before doing it in your survival

Progress update on ATL. I spent 8+ hours trying to get that (don't excuse my language) dogshit fucking app to work, I tried everything from the recommended settings, to custom settings, GraalVM, Default Arguments, Recommended ones, custom ones I've picked, Quadruple checked every driver on my computer, ran RAM tests, turned off Virtualisation since I read that it might cause issues. Reinstalled the modpack and manually downloaded every file 9 times, Reinstalled ATL twice just to make sure, Reinstalled GraalVM twice as well.

The only time I DID NOT get a BSOD when I pressed play, was when I used Java 8 (1.8.0_441) with the default arguments
There was another issue with the mods that I might've tried to fix since It's probably an issue coming from the way ATL installs mods and gives links to the wrong versions of the mods that may not be compatible, but I didn't get to that...

After uninstalling ATL completely, haven't had a single BSOD, launched the game 4 times through Curseforge, 0 issues, game starts perfectly fine, everything works.

All in all. It wasn't worth all this trouble at all. The only good thing it did is refresh my memory on JDK's, differences between 8/17/18/20, since I tested them all.

Back to playing through curseforge, all this time I could've progressed my world quite a bit more 😄

On to making some tree and crop automated farms, because reasons.

If I had to take a guess, it might be the mob aggroing on something while on the belt, OR something to do with the hitbox of the mob and the blocks around the bottom belt.
Try surrounding the bottom belt with solid blocks and see if the mob goes through (and make it so they can't see anything they hate while on either belt)

But from my experience in Promnience, I didn't notice lag until 20000+ slots of storage

And 1 max Item Vault is like.. I'm sure someone has the math, but like 200k of an item size

So 1 max item vault as an example can hold 200k cobble

(or more, I'm not sure about the actual number)

1.20.1 curseforge I have modified the mods in the modpack. I added the storage drawers mod to the pack and removed the original sophisticated storage mod and then added back the most recent version of the sophisticated storage mod and added the most recent sophisticated core. The furthest I've gotten past the crash is moving the storage drawers blocks to my and other chest inventories. Even throwing it on the ground is fine, but as soon as I place the block the players game crashes. The server stays running

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. Pay for a better server host package and check if there's too many forceloaded chunks by players and/or machines.
That is a thing with modpack servers, if each person have a bunch of claimed forceloaded chunks with a few machines/automatic farms running all the time. The server has to calculate it all.

So more RAM and better CPU allowance would work

If it's client only lag, then it's more about your own setup rather than the server's

That said, you're right! If you throw the log in and are a person who is not experienced in asking it the right questions, it will suggest random stuff to be changed/removed. If you are, then it can be a very helpful tool ^^ ❤️
