- Download a pre-built GLFW library from my repository at https://github.com/Frontear/glfw-libs/releases. Ensure you download the correct file from the desription of the release. You may also compile it yourself, details can be found here: https://www.glfw.org/docs/latest/compile.html
- Save the file in a location you can remember and will NOT delete (the file MUST stay there or else it will stop working)
- In your launcher, go to the java parameters (this is the place you put your GC arguments), and add
-Dorg.lwjgl.glfw.libname=/path/to/the/file. If, for example, you downloaded the file in your Downloads (C:\Users\Me\Downloads\glfw3.dll, then your argument would be-Dorg.lwjgl.glfw.libname=C:\Users\Me\Downloads\glfw3.dll)
Using -Dorg.lwjgl.glfw.libname=/path/to/libglfw.so worked like a charm.

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. For some reason, if you have an item in your offhand, then equip a two-handed weapon, the item literally disappears. Even after you switch of the offhand it doesn't reappear in your offhand slot OR somewhere in your inventory. it literally just bins it.
Me and my Friend were going to try playing together but both of us cannot get past a crash that doesn't even launch the game

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

so we can't even have our own LAN connections?
there's issues with traditional lan in heavy modded instances. It can cause issues with corrupting the worlds cause they get out of sync in a funky way
If ya'll are on the same internet though, self hosting will be fine and you won't even have to worry about opening the ports

any time someone has issues with big modpacks, it's because they don't do enough for it
the regular lan function still works we just r heavily against using it due to its issues of corruption long term

that said I would still recommend running a dedicated server instead of using open to LAN, as the current Origins version has some issues with networking when hosting from singleplayer

Because the more memory you allocate the more things Garbage Collector needs to clear - and that clearing process will take more time - and you'll start seeing lag spikes

yeah, first i removed a mod that was crucial for the skill tree by mistake and the main skill tree stopped working

You can install the pack again and try it, if it works, it's one of your modifications that broke the pack which is the most likely cause, if it still crashes you can pop back here and we'll go from there

In the version 30 of Medieval MC 1.20.1, spiders they don't have legs lol
so like, in version 28 of the server modpack, i think the GUI for the dungeon compass is broken because using it to click on a cartographer's table crashes the game. not on the server but player-side

are you playing a medieval MC modpack?
it's a conflict with DungeonZ and FancyMenu, this is a pretty hacky fix but you could disable the FancyMenu mod to link the compass, then re-add FancyMenu
both mods have been updated since then, it should be good

Hi guys, sorry to come in and immediately be problematic - server side mods show as having EasyMagic and client side seems to lack that mod ? Obviously this isn't a problem as you can add EasyMagic yourself, but was just curious if my Forge was wrong or server side modpack was wrong ?
it's an error with that pack version, just install easy magic manually for now
make sure to install 21.1.2, which is not the newest

How do we know when a modpack for a certain version is done getting updates? Like, when all of the mods in the previous game version have been adjusted for the new version
kinda, like each fabric is for dif versions, and each forge is for dif vers, but forge/fabric have same ver counterparts from 1.19 up
its probably a muon (mmc dev) question to answer for the when its done getting updates but all the mods in a prev game ver wouldnt ever rlly fully be adjusted for new ver since even on same modloaders some mods dont make it to the newer ver and some mods are made only for the newer ver

it is be default, hunted that down and seems to be the issue with it is that resource pack, they load in afterwards

Is there a way to change how far out the minimap will render? Is it tied to your in game render distance?
you can zoom the minimap with - = but unexplored chunks will only appear based on your render distance
still having issues with it even with order changed, will just run without it for now

Does anyone have a preferred biome size for their worlds? I feel like the default size is too small. There's too much variation so I almost feel a little claustrophobic being in a tiny plains biome surrounded by mountains, massive trees, etc...

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

i'm both happy that there is a witchery mod in the pack but also sad that it's very buggy and cannot get to certain features. is that just me? like why is it impossible to get mutandis extremis? and how do you get wolfs bane if not through breaking grass?
come to think of it, i dunno if i've seen even or found a structure with a coven witch or an apothecary. or one of those huts to find the witchery books. makes sense since those structures were so outdated and suck. they really needed an upgrade for newer minecraft versions. but man the guidebook is a little too vague because simply nether wart and mutandis does not make mutandis extremis just based on what the image shows.

Hey, I have a problem with Medieval MC [FABRIC] 1.20.1 v30 HF
I created a server for myself and my friends, and unfortunately, the backpacks are invisible.
Can someone help me? I'm trying to remove a power from the gorgons, which in this case is hydrophobia. I'm using the command /power revoke playername medievalorigins:gorgon/hydrophobe apoli:command, however, it says that the player does not have the power linked to them, even though they are a gorgon and the power appears in the list when I type /power list SamaelShido. Can someone help me?
have you tried doing it from the configs instead?
Yes, I've already disabled it in the settings, I've removed all the gorgons from their classes and added them again, but it still continues.
Did you do it while server was off and restart afterwards?

Same, can't you just transfer the files of the modpack from curseforge? Simply copy and paste the contents of the root directory for the desired modpack to an empty instance on modrinth.
All you have to do is select the correct Minecraft Version, Modloader, and Modloader version. Then just transfer the files from curseforge instance to modrinth instance.
lmk if you need help with it though 👍🏻, it's incredibly easy for any modpack

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

It's inconsistent and only started happening today, after three days of playing and casting without issues. - What steps cause the crash?
I've crashed six times upon pulling out a common holy wand and beginning to cast Holy Shock. I can't tell what's causing it to enter a state where it will crash, because it crashes both in and out of combat. However it mostly seems to be crashing when anyone is fighting something and I try to cast.
Edit: It seems to be an issue specifically with holy shock, the wand is not necessary to cause the crash.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

couple things wrong here but your most important issue

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

Yes, for some reason a few spell books from my mods are not recognizing the spell book slot used by this modpack

My guess is that the modpack uses a special configuration to include the spell books in that slot, and a few spellbooks were accidentally left out
yeah it has to be something to that effect, the Ancestral Warrior Spell Book from Druids is also not equippable, I'm noticing all the books that function list Spell Book twice as a slot, and the mod source name has (alt) next to it
so I found the datapack that handles tagging these at least,

however adding the missing spellbooks doesn't seem to have enabled them to be equipped, though it did add the (alt) text to the end of the mod source in the tooltip, so it changed something

I did confirm the missing spell_books.json from those two mods is the culprit for the compatibility issue, I created the file including the spellbooks for oathsworn and druids and dropped it into that same config\paxi\datapacks\mmc_tagsdata\spell_engine\tags\item\ folder alongside the spell_book.json and am able to equip them now

So I noticed that the "Longstride" skill in athletics allows me to climb up 1 block jumps without having the jump, which is neat. However, I've also discovered that this works even when crouched/sneaking... which means you can't sneak to the very edge of a block anymore.
How do I... fix that...?

so i made a legendary diamond sword into a netherite sword and then into a Dragon sword(made with ender dragon scale).
it became absolute trash
literally tickles enemies
only positive side is that its hit speed is much higher but still it can't even kill a lvl 3 dragon properly

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

You have to teleport to it using /joinGuildHideout, and leave using /leaveGuildHideout - only if the config allows it

My mistake, it should actually just be /guildHideout
Make sure to enable it in the config, it's off by default, and has to be on in the server
If it's off (as in default) it will simply do nothing

I’m using version MMC3 v29 (we started playing Tuesday)
I am trying to build a honey farm to help automate making wine for the lets do vinery mod and have tried following both the dispenser method along with trying to see if observers would fix the problem and both spit out the bottle with no honey. (honey combs work with shears but I need the bottles of honey which is why this is an issue)
I've tried making both setups on a single player world and the glass bottles shoot out but do not fill up with honey
When I make both of the same setups in vanilla mc they work perfectly fine & I've made this same system plenty of times before...
I'm not sure as to why this is happening and was wondering if anyone else has run into the same issue and has any workarounds?

With this, it's talking about the Vanilla backport mod, best way to check is to see what version pack is on for that mod specifically, and go check the changelog for that version of the mod on curseforge.

Adding mods should be as easy as downloading them off the Curseforge website, and pasting the file inside your "mods" folder.
Assuming you're using the Curseforge app - you can right click the instance in the "My Modpacks" section, and select "Open Folder".
Make sure the mod you try to install is for the right modloader and right Minecraft version.

Adding, removing, or updating large amounts of mods without testing any of your changes is **not **a good idea, and it is very unlikely that anyone will want to debug your issue for you. Please test the changes you make in small groups, as opposed to doing all of the changes at once.
