Hey all, Running a locally hosted Prominence server. No errors that i can see, world generated fine. Problem im having is it says "cant connect to server" .
I run other mod pack servers just fine, such as better mc and vanilla

Hey I have been having issues with my Skin not loading into the modpack at all. It doesn't show it and I am curious what mods are the issue or can I fix the issue in some other way? It's odd because it loaded the first time I created a new world. But as soon as I loaded back in the skin vanished to a default skin.
Hey guys, idk if anyone has had this issue with MMC3, but for some reason I literally just cannot get the modpack to start on a server no matter what I do. I would provide a crash report, but it doesn't crash, it just doesn't really work. It's hard to describe, but its almost as if the server never starts, but it says it starts.
I did a pretty extensive bit of testing just to make sure it was this modpack and not something else:
I installed and ran another fabric modpack of equal size
Ran multiple forge modpacks, including Medieval Minecraft Forge successfully
Tried a vanilla server just to triple check
All of those servers functioned, however MMC3 just seems to be weirdly hard-locked the moment the server starts. I try to input commands just to see if its responding like "save-on/save-all/teleport" and none of them respond, which they do on other packs...
Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I would love to provide more to you guys, but there's not even any crash files because the server doesn't technically crash
I've also tried running the server on multiple computers, it just doesn't seem to respond to anything. Here's an example of the commands I mentioned earlier just not doing anything
For what it's worth, the server pack that released right before this most recent one does work, its specifically the newest one that does not.

Alright interesting, I've made it into the server now and the server is seeming to function, however, console commands just don't seem to be showing on the console, they are however working in-game now

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Try using ATL, see if it's still crashing, or slow

I moved the server to C: and its doing the same thing as before. Console is unresponsive and there's also this weird behavior when trying to generate the world:
Yep, it just rejected the entire modpack once it was finished downloading. Not sure why
Preparing spawn is normal for all servers (it's generating the world's spawn area)
Try again - if it errors out again, click on Show Console, then in the popup click Upload log
Oh yeah I know, I think the main reason why its so confusing to me is because I've never had a server act this way before, I'm pretty familiar with servers as a whole and have hosted them for some time. Typically (in my experience) when its preparing the spawn area it goes up in increments, bu there it just goes from 2% 50 times to 51% then done 😂

No idea, I cannot get the command outputs to work from the server console as well, even doing /stop does nothing (and does not stop the server, like it should)

Thanks for the update and I managed to fix the issue. I just downloaded a similar skin and I am using that and it seems to have worked. Odd though I didn't know they stored it like that via separate servers.

they are yeah, undead still fight each other
but you receive inverted healing/harm potions, immunity to poison/wither, and take extra damage from smite
and also all undead are ignored by the wither

in that the Origins mod is really pissing me off and has been a bug-ridden development hell mess for years

Heya, I was curious, I don't want to rush or anything, I just wanted to ask how often do the modpacks usually get updated since there are some things my players are having issues with and it seems like the individual mods made some fixes for them, (And I know I shouldn't be updating the modpack myself) but if I try to make a separate profile and start the game up it crashes instantly is there a way for me to add the updated mods or should I just wait? It's my first modded minecraft server so I apologise if this is a stupid question.

I haven't tried since updating, but I know in MMC2 v23, we couldn't use the archery book. Instant crash!
Same with the spell gang. Every time they showed up (somehow, only to me!), instant crash.
That was a bad bug, MMC2 was pretty unplayable for a few updates
but also no one really plays that version in the first place lol
it's fixed now though :)

I use curse forge, when I just try to update the origins mod it doesn't even load to the menu it insta crashes on startup. We have voicechat added to the modpack and disabled witchery as it wasn't really functioning

All of those mods require Trinkets, so they'd also need to be deleted! Does the modpack have Accessories? That's a similar mod.

In the modpack mmc3 (fabric) what mod give it that exact skill tree with different pages? can't seem to find it between the installed mods, there is only the skill tree (RPG series) tho it's a completly different skill tree.

is it possible to alter the volumes of added sounds? im playing as valkyrie and using my intervention ability sometimes bugs out and replays the charge sound to its fullest after its been used, and it’s absolutely ear piercing, just wondering if i can turn off or lower it without lowering everything else

I just started playing and visited a village near spawn but there were hundreds of villagers, just multiplying endlessly until I crashed.
When I loaded up the world again, I was back at spawn but crashed within a few seconds.

Pegasus and Hippogryph flying mechanic broken? They just shoot stright up in the air. For pegasus, you can 'fly' with one flappy-bird style by mashing space bar every now and then to keep it around the same altitude. Anyone have a fix?

I play MMC2, and in that one there's three levels of books (Tome of Scrapping is the first). Lowest level takes a random half of the enchantments & destroys the item, mid level takes all the enchantments & destroys the item, and highest level takes all the enchantments & doesn't destroy the item.

hello , i have a question concerning the use of the eye of end in this modpack . i can't use them , should i achieve something in order to be able to use this item ?
there is likely a section in the questbook about the end and how to travel there, you need to collect different eyes, its apart of the end remastered mod
i've looked in the questbook and it say nothing about how to enter in (unlike the other dimensions). i also checked about the others eyes so thank you , for telling me about the deferent eyes.

They are underground, yeah. They follow the same rules as normal MC. "anywhere below Y-level -16, but are most common between Y-levels -53 and -61"

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
Let's try a fresh install, and see if you have issues in ATLauncher

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
is there any way to deal with the lag with the builtin server hosting, should the person hosting reduce their render distance or something or is it better to just look into a paid server?

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

hi, im playing medieval mc 1.19.2 on online server with friends.
I have an issue, ive made mob farm for exp grind, everyting was doing well, many exp etc. but one time exp stopped dropping - no more exp, no notifications about exp orbs in the right down corner. Ive even made new mob farm with new spawner far away from last location - 3 zombies gave exp, and it stopped dropping again. Can someone help me?

Got a few issues/ questions all relating to mmc2 fabric 1.20.1 from people on the server .
-I seem to remember tierz being apart of the modpack but dont see it in this version.
-Is there a way to respect pufferfish skills without commands?
-Someone who is doing magic said that it feels insanely weak when it comes to combat, is there a guide to follow for that ?
-The REI lookup isnt showing a lot of avenues on how to obtain certain items such as which mobs drop them and where to mine for them .
-Is there a way to cool down in the nether? There used to be icepacks in older versions but that is missing in this one .
- Can i increase the day lengths ? if so would it break
- above i mentioned a ticking entity problem that is deleting peoples inventories , was hoping someone had a moment to look into that .
I'm running a Fabric MMC 1.21.1 server and we all hate the idea of freezing/overheating. I went through the config for both mods and turned off passive temps but you still get overheated or freezing from mobs, lava, or packed snow. Any suggestions on what could get rid of it for those?
I went back through the config and edited some more values down to 0, hopefully this is enough

Walking around with silk touch and blue ice helped a bit while I was mining. And of course, drinking tons. I keep two of the 16-drink canteens on me whenever I go.

For the overworld, there is a sun hat that helps against the sun during the day.
And there's an item "Hades crystal" (I don't have the game in front of me, but I believe that's correct!) that gives you fire & lava immunity

hey so im trying to install medieval mc the mmc4 one or whatever, and it wont even let me install it via curseforge. it keeps saying error but wont tell me what the error is. ive tried repairing, changing the pathing, etc but i just cant seem to find a solution? my friend downloaded his just fine, but mine isnt working. we are using the same internet as he's at my house atm. not sure what to do.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

Playing MMC3 on 1.21.1 - does anyone know which mod these enchants come from? Neither of them increase mana or maximum mana in my world

Hey folks. I'm running a Medieval MC server on my PC and it was working fine til I moved over to Windows 11. Now the powershell window closes instantly when I open it. Any ideas? Known bug?
I have the same issue, i got it working with powershell but forgot how i did . Its something to do with permissions. I ended up making a new server and instead of running with powershell i downloaded the server files off curseforge and use the "run.bat" instead.
Weird, alright I'm glad it's not just me. I did download a fresh server file and had the same issue.
I did download a new v24 server and I don't see a .bat file available. Do you know if you're running v24 or was it an older version?

I guess I might be running an older version on accident, that might be the issue. This is the "newest" version it's showing me. This is the one I'm running.

I actually really like the one youre on and you can get past that issue most likely . go to fabric.
and download the 1.19.2 server launcher and then drag it into a folder on your desktop or where you want to launch it from , run the server, accept eula, delete the worlds folder if you manage to fully launch the server then drag in all of server files

A: This is likely an issue with Powershell itself. Here is an alternative method of opening the start.ps1:
1) Press the Windows key, type Powershell and run as Administrator
2) Run the following: set-executionpolicy remotesigned
3) Agree by typing A
4) Run the start.ps1 again by Right click the Start.ps1 file and Open with Powershell.
5) Now it should work (If it does not work, restart your PC and try running again)

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

So I'm having a bit of an annoying issue.. I've been playing thru the medieval MC modpack, and was wondering why when I build items, they don't have a "rarity" like common or legendary. And the anvil doesn't have a second tab to switch to another UI where you can re-roll items rarity with amethyst shards.
I've been searching all over trying to find an answer an the best I got was to talk to a "Guild master", which will initiate the RPG elements, and all that will be enabled or whatever.. couldn't find a village for the life of me so I spawned in a villager next to a guild master bench and he became a guild master. It didn't change anything tho, as there is still no secondary tab in the anvil, nor do i get any sort of rarity upon crafting tools/equipment.
Any and all help is very greatly apricated, as I am v lost lol.
I've never heard of that because I have done nothing guild-related, but I know rarity and strength and such are on Zenith!

I first played this modpack a while back with some friends on a server. I don't remember doing anything with a guild either... But I do remember having a rarity upon crafting anything, and having that secondary tab in the anvil to re-roll. I confirmed its the same modpack with the friend who had it before.

The mod is “TieredZ” and it was removed due to a conflict with loot scaling but not updated in the questbook
You can re-add it but it won’t apply to buffed gear from dungeons

I downloaded a completely fresh version of mmc2 v29 to check to see if anything i edited for the server is what has killed rei and its still failing to initialise for me and 7 others . What exactly would i need to send over to get this fixed because its making certain things really really difficult

im going to skip out on the server logs and just send over the client logs if that is okay ? since the server i have edited/added more mods unless that doesnt matter?

It looks like just a bug with the Advanced Loot Info mod

So far got good news and bad news. the good news is that when updating it to the latest version it works in singleplayer. the bad news is that on the server with updated advanced loot info it comes back with this . I tried using older versions than the newest but newer than the current one that is broken and it has the same message

@dry sandal Hello muon, FYI I just realized that the latest version of ANARCHY uses methods from spell engine that are only present on 1.8.3, therefore leading to a clientside crash, as MMC3 is using 1.8.2
(Happens when the entities use one of the custom effects that has a renderer)
I see 1.8.3 is incompatible with More Relics for now - I'll quickly remove the usage of these methods as they are not that necessary
(1.8.3 of Spell Engine - coincidentally the versioning is the same for the two projects at the moment LOL)

- What steps cause the crash? - All I did was create world. I was playing for maybe 5 minutes, there was some lag, and I was repeatedly sort of teleported back a few steps, then whole computer shut down. Turned computer back on, and it was "stuck" running, and still somehow open. I had to end task.

Yes, just tried again. And while it didn't crash it did have the lag after a minute. Villagers running in place. Can't open chests. Teleporting backwards. All the things that happened before it crashed last time. I just closed out instead.

Hello good peoples. I just setup a Medieval MC Fabric server. With just myself on it, I'm having issues with it going a few hundred ticks behind. The server running it is fantastic, any recomended java arguments?
I tried new java arguments, but again with just me on it's 509 ticks behind.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50

it does, it looks like it's running generally well but then there are large sudden lag spikes

I appreciate the help. Also, thank you for actually having a server pack for your modpacks. It's frustrating having to make your own out of people's modpacks and try to figure out which mods are client side only.

Gotta love the constant authentication issues with minecraft. Had to relaunch several times before it stopped saying play offline.
Well, it seems i need to restart the server as well. It's still saying 1 person is on and when I attempted to join i got stuck on that same screen again. Have to restart client and server.

The server it's running on has a Ryzen 7 2700x, 7200mb/s NVME drive, 48 gigs of 3200MHz DDR4 ram, 3x channel gaming motherboard. So generally if something messes up, it's on the coding side of the game and not the computer sturggling.
Minecraft, despite modder's best efforts, is very un-optimized.
Yeah that should definitely be able to run this modpack
the only other thing running on it currently is a buddie's factorio server which is takign up 800mb of ram.
Single thread performance is quite important so the 2700x isn't the best here, but it shouldn't really have issues unless you have multiple people generating new chunks or something
Sad thing about modpacks though. You can take a fantastic running pack and stick it on 10 computers. not all of them are going to run the same. Random BS with Java and the PC they are on.
It's overclocked at 4.2ghz, but yeah not BRAND NEW but never had any issues.
This Ryzen 9 9900x 12 core processor is looking mighty pretty, but I'd stick that in my main PC before the server heh
Hiii i wanna know if i can get rid of the sound that the valkyrie makes when using the ring of purity or whatever it was called. Its sooo loud. for now i turned off player sounds but that risks me being hurt and not realizing, so im asking if i can get rid of the ringing sound.
There's client-side sound-muffling mods that allow you to pick and choose what sounds to mute. I used it to get rid of dang cicadas chirping 😂

Friend happens to be stuck installing MMC3 Fabric, Always at exactly 97% mod 455 of 470 Medieval Fantasy RPG Songpack for Reactive Music (RP ver). She's tried cancelling and starting again, restarting pc, repair installation on curseforge, found the mod folder and deleted the files manually. always stuck at 97%.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

So i removed rei from the server and replaced it with emi and the same on the client for myself and a few people and emi is working fine. for whatever reason on 7 different pcs (which was the whole server ) every single person was not able to see advanced loot in singleplayer or the server and updating results in the excessive packet. emi is fine though. I did however wanted to ask if i can change the length of day without breaking things AND OR change the length of seasons . MMC2 V29

i just updated my modpack and now i cant enter my world. it says the world save is corrupted. can i fix this or am i fucked?

"what's better" is really up to a matter of opinion; all you can do is check the packs out yourself.
so question not sure if anyone else has experienced this. A friend and I made a server so we can play on it but when exploring chunks load really slow. Its just clear, if we split up if one person is exploring it lags the server but the server dashboard reports nothing wrong and sometimes it crashes. If I teleport to my waypoint in a different dimension the entire server crashes showing no spike in any hardware usage. I teleported to a random point and I load in and my game crashes after 30s or so. Anyone experience this?
