If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

If you mean the four ???? icons, then you craft two or more ingredients with a mortar and pestle (need to be different items, like fish & kelp, kelp & kelp won't work)
Is there any way to disable the mobs stealing weapons? From what I've gathered its one on the sons of sin mod, but that has no config file and if I delete the mod the game won't launch. (Unless I'm deleting it wrong)(there is no mod labeled mobs_of_sins and doesn't show up if I search the modpack file)

im trying to change the config for elytrian origin, i know how to change it ect, its enabled, i can pick the class, currently playing as it, but i also disabled the light armor config, and claustrophobia config, but those 2 settings arent disabling ? no matter how many times i restart server it doesnt seem to work

Sorry to bug you, I posted a message above, is it possible to change configs for Origins on my server?
I have elytrian enabled, but the debuff settings set to false but those settings aren't changing, however I know the config is semi working as I can play as the elytra class just confused why I can't change configs
But then, for the dwarf, it's set to "true" to spawn with the helmet and (that's my 2nd option to pick) but I don't spawn with the helmet (I think because of the kit selector) and I can't turn off sun sickness :c

How do i disable someone elses claim protection? I had to remove someone and i dont want their stuff to go to waste
as an admin on server. you can go into chat and do this command /open-pac claims admin mode. then you can go to your map, and unclaim it as if it's your own
I've got probably a dumb question. I'm on MMC 1.19.2 fabric. I get struck by lightning probably 5 or 6 times per session playing, no one else on the server knows what I'm talking about. But this is the second server I've played on with these people and it is still happening. What is actually causing this?
More info: I'm playing as Fae, not using any magic (unless you count Fae's fly ability). Every time I get struck by lightning it also drops a cobweb at the position

I need help please. im playing on medieval origiins revival as valk and i want to know how to i increase my spell power for my smite ability? I know we have extra trinket spots in her inventory when we open it up for spell books i assume? Do I need to equip a spellbook for valk for my ability or do I simply equip a specific spell or enchant to my armor? also ive tested it out on singleplayer and i cant seem to figure out how to use the spellbinging table or how I would find or get spells for my valk i chose. I need more clarity on this since im playing with this mod on a server with my friends and im not sure if we missed something to add or if im just missing something myself.

So I removed the mod, but the arrows are still here and "jumping"
It won't rectroactively unfreeze all the old arrows, just run /kill @e[type=arrow] once

Hey guys. How much ram do you advise me to set for a server? I run the server with 20 render distance, theres 4 or 5 players playing. Actually i have set 12gbs for server but ive seen on faq channel that 5gb is sufficient for 1-5 players. But is it with such high render distance?

you didnt say what modpack you're playing but if you already have Farsight or Bobby installed it wouldnt matter at all

i tried to install farsight both on server and my client but sadly it doesnt work. on the modmaker's github there an bug report about the farsight not working with sodium installed

How to create a Server Pack:

- Press Generate.
How to use the Server Pack:

I found a full CTD bug in v25
Medieval MC 3 - v25 crashed. The logs have been uploaded to mclo.gs:

- Every time I've tried to set the Stamina bar to "Vanilla" while in Survival gamemode, it has caused this CTD
- Going into the config options in-game for "Dynamic RPG Resource Bars" and changing the Stamina bar option to Vanilla causes a CTD as soon as that bar would be rendered -- you can change the setting in Creative, but as soon as you switch to Survival, CTD happens. No other resource bar seems to have this issue, BUT changing this setting in any worldsave makes that save un-openable without an immediate CTD.

After updating to v29, after players death the grave doesnt spawn and items are lost.
If you use /yigd grave does it show the grave that should have spawned?
No it doesnt, the grave doesnt appear at all. Although i found whats the issue, spyglass equipped as accesory, i removed it completely from inventory and graves started to appear again

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

I guess I should have been more specific - there was a seven month gap in releases for 1.20.1, with MMC2 v27 releasing shortly after MMC3 went into beta, making it seem like they'd naturally cycled to the next major version for MC. Now that MMC3 has caught up to MMC2 in breadth of features, I found it interesting that MMC2 had begun receiving updates again and was curious what the motivation was.
I always preferred the unique passive tree in 1.20.1 compared to other versions of MMC, but there are a few mods between the versions now that pique my interest and I struggle to choose which one to host on my next private server, so I'm curious what draws people to one or the other these days
all of our modpacks will pretty much always be maintained, but how many updates those packs get depends on how busy the corresponding developer is and the popularity of that version
muon has been very busy recently so he hasn't had much of a chance to update the 1.20 pack
as the focus was on getting 1.21.1 in line with previous versions

you can use the /team command or use FTBTeams

Hi, I'm having a crashing issue when trying to stop the game. The error message is saying it is caused by moonlight. It started suddenly yesterday, with no issues previously. I've fixed the problem ages before, but I don't remember the solution back then, it was months ago. Help? π

Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

the worlds I play on mmc3 are always getting overloaded, and freeze. on singleplayer, and bisecthosting. I always get this alert:

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

I believe that's to get individual blocks. Not shifting would chop down all/most of the tree. I think.

good evening, I have running a medieval-mc-fabric mmc3 v25 server. I just upgraded from v21. The mob skins have all reverted to vanilla. What config controls which skins should be used?
Is there a guide or other help file available that identifies which config files need to be copied from the old server. I knew to copy over the .options file for key binds, but not sure about any other configs.

one of my friends who hates modded but i managed to convince them to play it is playing and wants the vanilla stuff to look vanilla. They have moved the "vanilla" resource pack to the top of the list but a lot of blocks are still changed such as stone. What ones would they need to remove ?

It suggests 10gb for the client so that would be my guess . Mine is running 10gb which im self hosting and apart from when people are exploring new areas that noone has explored before it runs completely fine . If you want to remove as much work from your server try running chunky and load in a large area where people are going to be playing if you can do such a thing on a rented server

on 1.20.1 . a lot of people are not overly fond of the mobs in ice and fire on my server. Is there a way to lower the spawn rate of everything including the dragons ? Im currently looking at the iaf-common.json and there are spawn chances for a bunch of them but not everything has a spawnchance some have spawn weight which doesnt mean too much to me and i dont see anything directly for the dragons both above caves in within the caves.
also side question . why is the knight race absent from the game and config?
RPG Origins was just removed for balance/thematic consistency (all the other origins are races/species), youβre welcome to add it back if you want it
If you want to prevent the spawn of an entity completely I would recommend adding it to the ysns.json config
or you can modify the distance/spread settings for the structures they spawn in
no way to lower the spawn chance of them at all? they spawn everywhere so changing structers wouldnt work too much
yeah you can edit the per_dimension_entities in the ysns folder
that should have a built in example to lower spawn chance

You can check with autocomplete of the /summon command usually
but these are iceandfire:fire_dragon, iceandfire:ice_dragon, iceandfire:lightning_dragon iβm pretty sure
and cave dragons are the same id just with different AgeTicks nbt

it wonβt retroactively affect generated chunks. you could delete the associated region files if youβre sure no one has anything important in them

The way people make custom maps . they load up the world and are able to mass build terrain. Atleast i think thats how people do it ? i actually have no clue
Maybe it would be easier to save areas where people are and import those chunks into a new world with tectonic made? people havent really done much at all so ill talk to them they might be fine with just making a new one
yeah if making a new world is feasible I'd recommend that, and you could just use Worldedit to copy their structures (use the -e flag to copy entities)
Alright thanks I will talk to them about that and probably take that approach since I dont think anyone has even started building and there is a good chance that almost everything can be put into a couple of shulkers and saved with their character
generally custom maps are made entirely from scratch using external software like worldmachine+worldpainter, then imported into minecraft and edited with something like Axiom
you can also probably just copy the playerdata folder, that will miss some niche things like selected Origins and might put them inside a wall in the new world but it generally works well

tectonic is probably the best of its kind, especially if you don't want too many huge flat areas

so im trying to run this modpack on an online server and its running terribly, its 7 players in total, the server has 16gb ram and 4 ryzen cpu processors. I have had multiple issues with the server not working properly, having lag spikes, and sometimes completely shutting off, i will list all issues here below.
im using fabric as a mod loader, im using curseforge as my mod manager, my java version is 21, and the hosting service doesnt matter because ive been through 4 different services so i know its a modpack issue.

Your Spark reports don't look unusual, some processing used for mobs, and that's about it. And almost perfect TPS of 20 (so should be no lag at all)

this is what is killing the server xD, but since im new to modding im not really sure what is causing the insanely high ms spikes (it sometime spikes to 200k ms)
both of these profiles show you at or near 20 tps
there is a ~3 second lagspike on one though, but the profile is 24 minutes long

it's pretty hard to say what could be causing that, the crash report thread dump might point to where it got locked but not always
the usual culprit is opening a chest with a map to a far away structure

Hostinger doesnt generate crash reports unfortunately but it logs all server activity, i have logs of the console if that will work?

With 4 people online noone exploring just doign there own thing with no farms the server is " overloaded ". Its the exact same server setup thats been used for several years now and never struggled

if you're using the curseforge launcher you can try making sure you're using mojang launcher

alright, i died this time to one of the friend /kill me but the same bug happened
yigd doesnt work when this happens because the graves dont spawn so theres nothing to restore, i have to rely on a previous grave or creating copies of my items i can grab incase it happens

stuff along the lines of jei failed to load if this continues contact support or something along those lines. then theres other messages when i was trying to look at what mobs drop a specific item and it just said failed to initialise . certian items had no data for where they genereate etc....

I am running a v25 medieval-mc-fabric server. However, I started the server on v16. The enchantment mechanics involving bookshelves does not seem to be working as I would expect and hasn't since v16.

I have an enchantment setup, were I can control the 7 blocks between the bookshelves. The corner blocks have no affect on the enchantment level. While the middle blocks each have the same effect, even though there are a different number of bookshelves per face.
With these corner blocks raised I should see some decrease in enchantment level but do not.

i believe even snow blocks are ignored when placed between an enchanting table and bookshelves

Hello. The blocks in the enchantment system are full bone blocks.
For anyone else that experiences this issue, using a hopper going into the side of the cauldron and placing the nether wart into the hopper will correctly input the nether wart for cauldron crafting recipes instead of triggering custom potions
Just be sure to place a block above the hopper or use some other method to prevent it from taking in items otherwise your output from the cauldron might get taken

What's the source of the visual modification of the health and hunger bar on MMC3 Fabric ? I tried putting a custom hotbar on top of all the ressource pack but it didn't change it
Edit: checked all the mods manually, don't see any that would cause this. Removed all ressource packs that are removeable and the health bar are still modified
the survival mod ( temperature ) is also affecting those bars because they have an effect when youre hot or cold

hello! unfortunately Modrinth packs are out of date while we work on some publishing improvements, to get the latest version youβll need to download the Curseforge version of the pack
I would recommend using ATlauncher, which allows installing both curseforge and Modrinth packs (and works very well)

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
On MMC3 v22, the mobs in dungeons spawn wayyyyyyyy too fast (it's like 2-3 mobs per seconds until there's like 10). What would cause this and how would I go ahead and change it?

Netherchested is buggy, especially if you tried to sort it by accident.
I don't think a solution exists, other than restoring from backup - but you can also just remove that faulty block, or remove the mod from the pack.

I Took some blocks out of the chest using the little arrow in the top left of the chest UI and got past the issue, I think it crashes the game only when I hover over some big stacks of blocks, cuz I also have some grass blocks there but nothing happened when I hovered of them, neither when I hovered over a stack of 64 dirt blocks

Yes, it's crashing because the amount of items is too high (looking at it once more it's actually a tooltip crash - Legendary Tooltips 1.5.5)

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Anyone have any suggestions for Ogre - Champion build? I want to use the axe to get the extra damage passive of the ogre, but I also like to have abilities.. with the axe at least so far I have not gotten that.. Is there something I'm missing?
idk what you mean by abilities, if weapon abilities then any weapons you have in your inventory/hotbar you also have the abilities of even if not using them
so if you like a weapon ability but want to use the axe, then you can have the axe equipped and the other weapon somewhere in your inventory and enjoy the best of both worlds
interesting when i had my starter kit weapon i could do 2 abilities, but with my axe I have none. Does it need a specific property?
not sure, I had these other couple weapons in my backpack and no access to their ability, I have em in my inventory or hotbar and their abilities are accessible

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

and you remove/added mods randomly

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
how can i reset some chunks ? i watched yt and saw that they used an app but the app doesn't detect and support i think the modpack
I have hella tick lag and can't play and it crashes when i try to exit the game, so i wondered if i reset some chunks it might reduce the lag, and also have something new to explore cuz i already explored 10K of block from my house

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

i use the teleport method on xaeros map mod but still exausting, also it takes a while to load the terrain with the 350+ mods that i have

you will need to either delete the whole region file for those specific chunks or delete the chunks by modifying the region file with nbteditor or something similar

saves > folder with the name of the world you are playing > region
you might need to read up on the region format from the mc wiki
or try to use an editor like amulet

Hey I have a question regarding the Banshee from the Medieval Origins mod, I'm trying to play as it and I'm always low on hunger. Wiki says that they feast on the flesh of the living, but every time I kill something I don't get any hunger back. How do I play as a Banshee?

you can also receive effects from any foods, so you can use enchanted golden apples and if you have farmerβs delight there are some effects that restore/preserve hunger
but yeah no food directly restores it

Good evening, I am raising an issue again. I never real got anywhere previously. If there is a better way to bring this up to the devs, like posting a bug in the GitHub site, I would be glad to do that.
I am running a v25 medieval-mc-fabric server. However, I started the server on v16. The enchantment mechanics involving bookshelves does not seem to be working as I would expect and hasn't since v16.
Are there mods that change the enchantment mechanics involving bookshelf placement and the use of blocks, like torches, to change the enchantment levels away from the vanilla mechanics? https://minecraft.wiki/w/Enchanting_mechanics
I have an enchantment setup, were I can control the 7 blocks between the bookshelves. The corner blocks should but have no affect on the enchantment level. While the middle blocks each have the same effect, even though there are a different number of bookshelves per face. The white blocks are full bone blocks.
With these corner blocks raised I should see some decrease in enchantment level but do not.
does anyone know how to make waypoints show up correctly across dimensions?

I don't know if that version runs Zenith/Apotheosis but, apart from not having anything in between the enchanting table and the bookshelves. Maybe it's some interaction with the block not being placed there as default but being moved by the piston?

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Actually that's for the first few players in regards to the 5+1 per. Once you hit the 8 gig mark, you can hold off on adding more ram till you have 8 players

LPS devs focus heavily on optimizing their modpacks, it's not about the mod count, it's how the pack is optimized properly or not
