I have a Minecraft server setup using a Google Cloud virtual machine, with 14GB of memory allocated for the server and two mods (Create and MerMod) along with the Terralith datapack. However, I am facing some issues with the server crashing when I start exploring and loading chunks , when idle in the loaded chunks the server seems fine . Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? and i did install adoptium 17 java , cause i was following a video on how to install it and the video specifally installed 17

hey, sorry if im asking in the wrong channel, but ive just started playing medieval MC fabric on version 1.19.2 and im really liking what im seeing so far! but im having a bit of a weird issue where im getting pretty severe frame drops (going from around 120fps down to below 60fps) whenever i swing a sword that uses the modded sword swinging animation. i really like the animation! but it is a bit jarring when the frames drop so hard every time i swing. is there any way i might be able to fix this? (or if theres a way to remove the mod if thats the only way, that would be appreciated)

6. sometimes the server freezes for a long time and continues but crashes the other times
7. crash reports dont get produced , i dont know why but i think this might be why cause the VM crashes as minecraft server crashes
   8.yes i installed adoptium java
   i can provide a crash report but i dont think its relevant to the crash caused by loading new chunks

Its prot 8, and its because of how protection works, theres a cap at 20 total protection levels where past that doesn't do anything for you, 8+8+4=20 so its all you need
magic protection is calculated seperately iirc so thats why you want that too

Well, I suppose you can have another one and it could work. The main thing with obsidilith is you either dps race it (meaning you kill it before the mining phase with a lot of dps) or you learn how to avoid the attacks and get a good tool to mine the runes fast.

With mc dungeons melee weapons being 10% on average and the bows/crossbows being 5% on average. Diamond armor is probably 45% and magic weapons always show up and in good numbers lol

haste gems add attack speed, so much that you won't need any more attack speed with 15 dex as I believe you hit the cap on it, and the ignorance gems add 10% ignore armor so with the setup in pins, you ignore 30% of armor.

you would have to choose one or the other. You can affix relics to armor with the smithing table, but this can only be done once and cannot be undone or overwritten so be very careful with it

You can only affix to crafted armors right now. Relicex dev looking into getting it to work with dungeon difficulty loot. I don't see the affixing changing tbh, it's very fair already how it is. No armors from Spellblades and Such mod can have relics affixed to them yet but the dev is aware, knows the problem, and knows the fix I believe. They are just out of town right now.

I wonder if this would be with only vanilla weapons, because if so, then at least it wouldn't be too terrible. But yeah I find this decision highly questionable.

And of course I know it's not any of the fault of the devs here. I wonder if the thief's invisibility worked differently in a more vanilla setting, although I doubt it. I bet mobs would still aggro when you got too close meaning you still can't use the ability very well. The Spellblade update would've made Thief an awesome origin to use, but now it has been needlessly nerfed to the ground the way I see it.

Another great way to get relics is ruined structures with silverfish. (They look like rats)

Just punch them initially, till you have a small group, then start killing, I get over 10 relics per structure, and it's over quickly xD (granted, I have a little over 40 luck with items)

FWIW, I built a tower mob spawner way up in the sky over an ocean early on and it's really helped with relics and so. You dont have to have access to spawners to make that happen
