20 is the cap, yes. and there's no point in having any armour except the durability (unless you make it unbreakable), and the effects they can give. like star platinum giving flat attack damage, gilded glory being a totem of undying armour, archer armour buffing arrow dmg, etc.

There are benefits to add Fire prot and Blast proot into the mix, on one armor piece tops tho. Fire prot chooses the piece with the higher level of the enchant and reduce the time on fire depending on that, and Blast prot wors similarly, but gives knockback resistance instead

Adamantine impervium armor, a 3.5 range lance/spear with stunning+staggering and void strike. Starless night or scope-gemmed soul alloy sword is nice for big groups of mobs. Those are my personal preference, otherwise check pins

and yeah if you look at it for the first time it feels like chest and helmet relics should have their own slot aswell

There's an item called item filter, from the mod interactic. Normally it goes into like items that pull from something I assume.

But the only item in here to do that is a hopper and it doesnt seem to work with that

So it must work with something, otherwise why would it be here
