So there are two magic casting spells mods in the game. Grimoire (you get from first quest right at the start) tells you about Archon and how to cast spells from there. There's also Arcanus that have the books with the mouse combination for the wand.

You can smelt them into shards. Shards can be thrown like bottles o enchanting to gain xp or they can be used to repair relics. New relics can only be gotten as loot and can't be crafted. Relics can be affixed to armor (the helm and chest ones) but only once and cannot be undone.

You can go without +7 str because you can find a better one in enough time. There's no need to really worry about something that small.
#medieval-mc-fabric message This right here, is what to aim for. 290% melee crit damage on a relic is insane. That's endgame. Ideally you get 250% or better on 4 relics and then 1 relic is 40% crit chance or better for your respective build (melee or ranged).
All the other relics really aren't going to matter that much. If it is better than what you have then wear it. Lifesteal is good but only early game really.

They're all easy if you have optimal gear. Returning Knight and Void Shadow come to mind. Other than that, there really aren't any hard bosses if you are geared well.

Quick question about the Rpg leveling, by can mobs like guards level up? Used a cadre of guards recruited by cleric hero buff to help clear a Mushroom Mine from WDA and none seem to get stronger. Also in my exploration I am seeing tougher enemies, but villager guards are sticking to level 1. Any thoughts?

Anyways, to get out of nether, pots can rarely have obsidian but also iron nuggets and such. Can get sticks from pots, probably chests, or warped forest biome. Can make mushroom stew with planks from warped forest. Can find gold in chests, or mine it, or find in nether fortresses. You can trade piglins for obsidian. And that's essentially how you survive and get out.
Blazeborn should only take damage upon touching water but not drinking it, especially from a flask.
Pins for water purification.
