If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.
This video explains the process: https://youtu.be/xMYW1wMbmkM
To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

anyone know what i can do with this?
i got the new luna file and deleted the old one but now it says that
you downloaded the wrong ver of luna
you downloaded the one for neoforge not forge
okay let me try the forge version
now thinking about it im just dumb i may just have had 1 beer too much
but thanks to everything works fine now
honestky its a common misconception neoforge/forge same lmao
sounds like good night though minecraft n drinking, cheers
i sure will
Sorry, I've just now gotten the opportunity to view the command you ran, but it doesnt seem to relate to my original message. It's just stating potential launcher issues and to use a specific launcher and to use CurseForge.
I have no issues, just simply asking what the 'right' way to use this mod is like how I mentioned I enabled every resource pack for example because when Im given so much, this is what I assume I have to do to make the modpack work / look as intended.
the right way to install is to use ATLauncher as the guide says
But I dont need an installation guide. Moreso a how-to-use guide
For example, what resource packs to enable
What are optimal settings. Etc
Just what somebody would do straight after loading into the main menu for the first time, or loading into their first world. Know what I mean?
Theres 280+ mods in this modpack and it's very overwhelming to somebody who doesnt use anything but a shader usually
whatever is already enabled, nothing else is needed
you can follow the questbook for a how to guide playing the game
I believe there were no resource packs enabled
Okay no worries, thanks
yes thats because you did not install using ATLauncher
as i told you to do

no crash
The fact that I couldn't find an End villageisn't a bugโI just wanted to ask experienced players for advice. I've searched over thirty thousand blocks and even exhausted all my fireworks (including my gunpowder reserves).
im back ready to get on the better mc grind, downloaded latest version and ive noticed i cannot make tools on the crafting bench using the recipe book, the recipe for lets say, iron pickaxe never shows up?

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
thank youu
send a screenshot of your modpack installation in ATLauncher

yes the place you click play
I've searched for a long time. I followed the structure in the open-source code betterend with spacing 34 and separation 8 for the blocks. I conducted an extensive search, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the Shadowprint.

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

unlucky
the old way was too op
if your game crashed after adding mods it's because you added mods
don't add things without testing if they work
Well for those who build big structures in their world and need a lot of wood might suffer cuz they will spent days chopping trees
I chopped a spruce forest in 3 straight hours, no breaks, and with the help of the mod that broke the entire tree in one hit
Anyway, is there a way to change the config of the mod or something else cuz if this change come to medieval mc I'm done
it's just the fallingtree mod config
yes and it's overpowered
as the developer I don't want it in the modpack
The mod itself or the mod pack?
what
Never mind

Seeking help concerning updating from BMC2 v25 to v27
I got this result when trying to connect
#better-mc-fabric message
I updated the pack myself following this video
I did everything with CF. I haven't knowingly added any other mods
I have been advised to delete the "Configured" Mod, but have not found it in the "Mods" folder nor anywhere else in my brief search.
I'm down to hop in a voice channel and share my screen for easy diagnostic and resolution
Notes
I did attempt going straight from v25 to v27 if that is consequential at all.

adding them one by one or in very small batches if its a large amount of mods is the way to go for testing them

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
is it normal that we can't make the twilight forest portal work ?

Sadly I dont have access to the debug folder since its a server
this has nothing to do w/ spark, i dont know where you're even getting spark from in this :p
as it says, your device is out of space
java.nio.file.FileSystemException: /home/container/debug: No space left on device
Caused by: java.nio.file.FileSystemException: ./config/spark/tmp-client/spark-11c86533132e3b-profile-data.jfr.tmp: No space left on device
your server is acting up because you have 0 storage space remaining
its likely on your hosts side then yeah
i mean you're free to remove spark it only does anything if you run the spark command

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:
/spark profiler start --only-ticks-over 50
Then, send the link in this channel.
you can run the command at the bottom
and open the link
as spark also reports on storage space
Seems youre right
It dropped back down... and not getting errors anymore
But that storage is quite high up there

Hi Chloe, is there a better response to this than "Use JEI"? What mod is removing tools/weapons from the recipe book? (Using BMC3)
the recipe book just is very buggy in modded, jei, which is included in the pack does the literal same thing to view recipes
Is there a way for JEI to work in a similar fashion where it lists everything you can make with the materials you have in your inventory, rather than just being an encyclopedia and having to search?
That would work

After much testing and consideration, contacting fallingtree probably isn't the best course of action. After reading through other similar issues via their github, it seems any fixes are for 1.21.5 and they refuse to backport. In all honesty, if BYG didn't have variants of trees with logs in the leaves this wouldn't be an issue at all, so they should consider addressing these trees for future compatibility with these popular mods. So posted on their github. ๐ #stickaforkinmeI'mdone

Whats the recommended specs on vm for bmc 3 server pack
5-10 players
In terms of the modpack itself - 3GB + 1GB per player is the usual recommendation I see
Faster disk is better of course, and the better the single core performance of the CPU - the better
vm is 4 vCPUs, 10 GB Memory, ssd persistent disk for boot and drive
~6gb allocated
seeing a lot of these on console

on a bettermc4 1.21.1 server, is there way to reset the world and builds only, but items and statistics still are ketp?

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the โ #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.
and no, there is no workaround without breaking the pack
doesnt say i should be pinged though lol, just gives me perm and some credibility xd
that would be ?
dont say cosmetics xd
you can self host too
i get that problem though
if you self host you shouldnt have that issue
self hosting is a different thing than worldsharing
!server
Free Method
To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.
If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.
Paid Method
We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:
Approx. $10 - $25 a month depending on what plan you choose. You can also get 25% off with Code LunaPixel.
Go here and order a plan which fits you. We suggest 1GB per player but nothing lower than 4GB as the server needs at least 3GB to run.
Go to #server-hosting for more Info!
The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:
Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
your pc should also be able to handle it
so make sure your cpu isnt from 2012 and your ram is more than 16
yes

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
and just fyi, you cant get around it without breaking stuff
delete the region files
the reasons of why we dont support essential is outlined in the ea command ran earlier
then you dont have configs and quests
you know modpacks are more than just a bunch of mods thrown together ๐ญ
literally just a host a server on your pc dude it is so fucking easy ๐ญ
it is 1/100th of the effort
you dont have custom datapacks, proper orders, its a lot to check
do you know how to read be honest
yes because it sucks
and the developers are extremely greedy
you're insulting us by wasting our time
i didnt know a objective statement was insulting
you're more than eelcome to do your own research on this we didnt pull it out of thin air
can i use essential
no, given reasons why, and free method
but what if
no
but what if
no
thats this convo rn
its just objectively true lol
theres nothing subjective there
it HAS minecoins which you can spend $100 on
to buy cosmetics
which we answered
and emotes
and u got valid answers
because it causes world corruption
and it is incompatible
problem solved
now selfhost a server on your pc
then you're more than welcome to go play a modpack thats not a lps pack and use essential
yes
because it causes world corruption
and deletes players items and builds
we have seen it happen a hundred times
ok

there were so many issues that the pack had for months that took like 10 seconds to fix
yep lmao
hello guys, anyone aware why running the bmc3 modpack on a fabric server magically causes it to consume 256 THOUSAND file descriptors on linux?
I also noticed that using the stop command on the server with the modpack does try to stop the server, and it almost reaches a full stop but the JVM process never actually exits unless you frantically spam Ctrl+C or send SIGINT signals until the process finally stopped
try removing the packanalytics mod
wow, it was packanalytics
well, removing packanalytics made it reduce the amount of open file descriptors by 100k, but java is still consumign 100K fds which is still concerning
oh mb ty!
Hey guys, does the modpack work with MacOS? Also where did ProminenceII go to?

I will play with my friend that's why we installed the essential mod. However, when I add essential to this mod pack, the game does not open. Can you recommend mods that will help us play together?
!ws you can use the built in world sharing

There is currently a common crash affecting a lot of players that can be fixed by changing the version of the "Aether Redux"
Specifically you will need to change it from v2.0.19 to v2.0.18
To do that you will need to
-
Download the correct version from this link https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/aether-redux/files/5872671
-
Locating the mods folder
(for CurseForge right click the modpack, press "Open Folder".
For ATLauncher click "Open Folder on the modpack instance.
For Prism click on your modpack instance and then locate "Folder" located on the right.)
-
Search and delete the old version named "aether-redux-2.0.19-1.20.1-neoforge.jar"
-
Copy and paste the downloaded version onto the mods folder
next time it crashes press upload all and copy and then paste here
so i can check the mod changes
This solved the issue, thanks for the insanely fast reply and simple fix!
I already paste all here
^^

Hello, new here
I'm sure this has been asked a lot but how do I get a "Better Minecraft 3" Fabric server to work? Simply copying the mods from the client to the server doesn't work (figures). I was able to run a few modded Fabric servers in the past but with this amount of mods something was bound to go wrong..

Hello, has anyone installed graalvm to host their own bettermc server on fabric and have gotten errors with Riot's Vanguard while playing any of their games? how do i proceed to uninstall it? im pretty sure that's what's causing the false positives
Question [BMC3 v30]
Does the Modpack Include a mod that helps with building? Like having +2 Reach or something?
Hello,
We've installed Better Minecraft Fabric 1.20.1 on a server machine we own. Opening the quest book, no quest, it's empty. Why is this?
We have installed the server packs (v28) and we have all the client mods. I've searched the config files but can't find a way to get the quests ๐ฎ
I've found the problem.
For those who will have the same problem one day :
When creating the server, I imported the mods but not the .config folder. This folder contains a โftbquestsโ folder with all the famous quests. Put it in your config folder and you're done
But more generally, if in doubt, it's best to import the config folder from the server packs lol
Do anyone know what mod does the scrolling in bundles?

i dont know how to configure luna for playing with friends
im hosting the world and it gives me a 5 numbers code in chat but i dont know what to do with it

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
u know about lunarclient?
lunar client also does not work for modpacks
last question, better mc 3 have optifine?
or how can i install optifine on atlauncher?
!optifine
It is highly advised to not use Optifine, as it is very glitchy, will increase loading times to upwards of 10 minutes, and will decrease your FPS substantially. All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric. Optifine is also incompatible with all of our modpacks. The game will not launch with Optifine installed.
If you are interested in Optifine alternatives for your own gameplay, you can find a list here
Note that a majority of these mods are already included in our modpacks.
For an indepth explanation of why Optifine is bad, you can read this document created by Sodium's developer, Jellysquid.
im trying to share my world, but it keeps saying this.
!lunaupdate
Luna, a core mod of LPS packs that provides our built in worldsharing feature, underwent a major version update recently.
If you are playing on a pack version that was released before May 30th, please read the following instructions.
-
Find if the pack you're playing has had a version update since then. If it has, update the pack, and worldsharing will proceed to work properly as the luna fix will be implemented
-
If it hasn't, Download the latest version of Luna for your modloader (forge/neoforge/fabric) from this link https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/luna/files/all?page=1&pageSize=20
-
Then, navigate to your mods folder, delete the old version of Luna present in the folder, and drag in the latest update you just downloaded.
To locate your mods folder:
for CurseForge right click the modpack, press "Open Folder".
For ATLauncher click "Open Folder" on the modpack instance.
For Prism click on your modpack instance and then locate "Folder" located on the right.
thank you
hazel, i just downloaded the client version from de mod pack, where can download the server version to install to my server

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
please do not add a ton of mods without testing if they work first

Hi guys, I just came to ask a question, what are the best equipment I can have here at Better MC??? Like upgraded Netherite, FireRuby???? Which one should I choose?
[FIXED] Hey, I need help. I can't open my Better-MC World. I restarted several times, made space on my pc. And the worst thing: It doesn't give me an error code. It tells me to restart the game and try again and if the problem persists, I should ask for help in the discord. I'm really lost here and ofc dont wanna lose the several hours I played on this world. Any help would be more than appreciated. Thank you in advance :)
Please read the full contents of the โ #get-support channel for us to provide assistance.

For Mac devices using Apple Silicon/arm (M1/M2/etc.) CPUs
There is an issue with Java 17.0.8 and newer where you may experience "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment", which can cause the Java runtime to crash under a variety of circumstances. To resolve this:
Mac:
- Go here and hover over the Download buttons until you see one with the option to install a .dmg file. If you have an M-series Mac, then make sure to install the ARM64 version of this file.
- Run the
!alternatescommand in #bots and follow the directions. If you already have ATL installed, move on to step 3. - Click "Settings" on the right
- Click "Java/Minecraft" at the top
- Set "Use Java Provided by Minecraft" to false by unchecking the checkbox
- Manually specify the following Java path in the text box to the left to the "Reset" button:
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/zulu-21.jdk/Contents/Home
curseforge app doesnt let u change the java version
What should I use instead
we recommend ATLauncher, if u read the command i ran above itll tell u instructions of installing the proper java n the launcher itself
no bff
lmfao sure
Alr slide cash app
now that is a bit concerning ๐ญ
i can 100% tell u thats not usually something that happens when trying to install
if ur having issues w it generally working on atl u can try prism which has much easier steps and u can install java within the launcher u can run !macalt in #bots
im not sure abt ur computer going black i will be so fr that seems like a google troublshooting but i can try to help w other shit as a mac user
Alr thx
Ok so weโve fixed the black screen problem
Now Idk how to download the content required for the game
like are u getting the some things cant be downloaded screen or do u just not know how to install the pack on atl
hit the open links buttons
it is nromal i fear w modrinth
they should start the download process automatically once u open each one n then u can move them to mods n resourc pack folders
How do I open a folder in modrinth
Wait I think j got it
Nope I donโt
It says to put them in the mods folder
Idk how to do dat
Wait I think I got it
go to the instance page then click the 3 dots
theres an option that says open folder. click that then look for the mods tab
just drag and drop all the mods it had you download into that folder and then you should be set. just do the same for the resource packs itll have you download but look for the resource packs tab instead of mods
also wondering if anyone has had any issues with the deeper and darker mod? im not getting any drops from the warden when i kill him and i did it 3 times just to be sure.
Is anyone else having a persisting issue where creepers still blow blocks up despite mob griefing being disabled?
Is it me, or the mod that let's you chop down a tree when breaking the bottom log is not working? I have to break all the tree now. It's now one block anymore.
no, I have the same issue. it shifts one block down without braking the whole tree
That exact issue. Thank you for explaining it better than me. ๐
do you run a server or just local solo play?
in config folder for server there is: fallingtree.json and inside you have to change this line: "breakMode": "SHIFT_DOWN", to breakMode": "INSTANTANEOUS",
same thing goes for client, just open the installation folder and find the file ๐
Solo solo! ๐
I'll change that tonight. Weird how it changed by itself or maybe it was updated to be that.
yes, they changed it to be like that it's in the Changelog: "Mining a tree with an axe will now shift the tree downwards one block at a time, instead of the entire tree breaking instantly"
Did it caused crashing to some people breaking the tree at once? I'm fine with either. Was just wondering. But thanks for the info on how to change it ๐
no it just felt too overpowered to keep the config like that by default
its totally ok to change it on ur own n we suggest it even if u perfer it the old way :p
I have a problem
When I load up better Minecraft and join a single player world after a minute it's basically disconnecting me it's like nothing loads up blocks have no color and you just don't have internet I randomly start lagging as if I have a bad connection to a server, and when I try to quit and save the world, I get stuck in an eternal "Saving World" screen, forcing me to close the game through Task Manager

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
you didnt follow any of the directions so just do a fresh install
Hey guys, my friend have a little problem, every time she join my world her world map with all waypoints wipes out
is there a way to prevent this?

Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.
unfortunately not due to the nature of how worldsharing works
as chloe ran we recommend self hosting or renting a server if its something you'd need
self hosting could help?
self-hosting a dedicated server, that is dif from worldsharing, would make it so players maps save yes
the command chloe ran has a link to the guide on the top of the message
So I downloaded the server pack on curseforge, and whenever i try to launch the modpack using it the server crashes any ideas?
did you download from the app or the site

redownload from site
send the logs from the server then and someone else will assist when they can

Hey does anyone know how to set up an Aether portal? I do the glowstone and water bucket, but I get a red portal and am teleported to the nether ceiling. It looks like v1.19.2v20 comes with CustomPortal API but for Forge and not FABRIC. Is there a fix for this? I am using CurseForge as my launcher.
Ty so much!
Better MC 3 - v32 crashed. The logs have been uploaded to mclo.gs:
- 1.21.1 [FABRIC]
- What launcher did you run Minecraft with? (e.g. CurseForge, ATLauncher, MultiMC, ...)
- Have you changed the modpack in any way except mods?
- v32
- Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash?
- What steps cause the crash?

!drivers
You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!
1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step
- Open task manager
- Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
- Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right
Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.
2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA
AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Note:
- For NVIDIA you want to select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)" (this is the default option) for the best performance. Once installing you'd probably prefer downloading GeForce Experience, which will notify you when there's an available drivers update.
- For Intel, you probably want to press "Get Started" under the "Automatically update your drivers and software", which will simplify the process and update everything automatically
- For AMD you probably want to just press "Download Windows Drivers", which will download something called AMD Adrenaline, which will update your drivers automatically.
3. Run the installation, restart your computer, and try playing MC again
- At this point, hopefully your Minecraft is running. If it still does not work, please post any new logs and staff will help assist you with finding the right solution.
