Hey, little question here: When I put an elytra in the cape slot und fly with it, it plays the breaking sound every second eventhough its fully repaired. I read a couple bug reports and figured, its about one of the accessories mods... But couldnt really get a fix for it. Does anyone have the same problem or could even provide a solution?

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the โ #bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. Hey, my Better MC [FABRIC] BMC3 (1.21.1) keeps crashing every time while initializing the game and i don't know why, I've tried everything, downgrading it back to v16.5 and back to v17, crashes in both versions, and I've tried repair profile, shows me this every time it crashes, never modified anything, only thing I've done with the modpack was updating it to the latest version and it didn't crash a few days ago, I'm very confused

  3. I started the world in v16 and made a back up.
    When I attempted to play on v17, it crashed. So I uploaded the backed up world as a new save and that solved the issue. Had no problems playing 2 nights ago. I tried to hop on today and then I got these crash reports. Tried to do same procedure, but unfortunately didn't resolve my issue this time.

Hi! I have a concern regarding the crafting table. I'm using the latest version of the mod pack and have not added anything to it. Some items do not show up as craftable on the left side, even when I have the items required. Though if I manually place the items, I am able to craft them. I tried looking for solutions in the thread, but couldn't find any. I apologize if this has already been addressed.

If you're having issues with your friends joining your server, your port for Minecraft may be closed.

  1. Check with https://portchecker.co/ with your IP and Minecraft's port (drop down menu) to see if it's open.

  2. If it's closed you will need to search online "How to open Minecraft port for server with (ISP Name)

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:UsersUsernameDocumentsMinecraftServer)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.

You have a mod that's overriding the vanilla crafting table recipe, presumably because they add crafting table variants for vanilla wood types. I'd suggest either removing whatever mod is doing that, or getting some kind of add-on that adds crafting table variants for BOP woods.

3 - Yes and No, ran it twice, one with mods added and then a fresh reinstall and both times gave me the same result.
4 - v.18
5 and 6 - No, the crash is unavoidable, and happens each time I open the game from the launcher after navigating there from Curseforge.

Latest log and picture of the crash is attached. Couldn't find any crash report in the files.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

To better assist with fixing your issue, we will need some logs:

  • Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder.

  • ATLauncher -> Click 'Open Folder' on the modpack instance.

  • MultiMC -> Select your instace and click 'Instance Folder' on the right.

  • ** For servers** -> Open the folder containing your server files.

To find the latest.log file, navigate to the 'logs' folder.
To find the hs_err_pid.log file, simply look for the file name after opening the instance folder.
To find a crash report, navigate to the 'crash-reports folder and find the most recent file after your crash occurred.

hey im trying to get the warden armor in the better mc 3 fabric modpack for 1.21.1 and i cant see to find the upgrade template for the upgrade and ive search about 2.5 ancient cities. I even checked with the devs of the deeper and darker mod and they said that it was a 20% chance to with it in an ancient city chest. Is this some kind of bug or have u changed the modpack files or is it just me whose seriously unlucky?

hi there! completely new to mc modding and i'm running the fabric BMC3 modpack on my PC. the game is running alright, but in the past two or three play sessions, random things like making a ruby pickaxe have been crashing my game, and now mods like 'recipeessentials' aren't loading at all. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the modpack a few different times, and have even done a complete system reset (unrelated) and downloaded everything from scratch.     5.The ruby pickaxe issue I mentioned in my original message has made the game crash every time without fail. The mods not loading in at all hasn't been resolved either.
  5. In most cases it's simply crafting a ruby pickaxe. It doesn't matter what order I place the items into a crafting chest, every time i place the last one it automatically closes the game.

ok, i have a prolblem, my client keep crashing when i join the edenring:edenring demsnsion, i entered using commands (its on a server and i was testing things). it loads in, i can see the sky and nothing else for like a second. then my games goes to "saving world" (its a server), then the client crashes. i do have some extra mods installed, and im betting those extra mods are the iussue, but im not sure which one, can any of you guys try to figure out the issue?

Edit: figured out the issue, had nothing to do with the mods i added (i dont think so), but the version of the eldenring mod was unstable, i updated the mod to the latest version on both the client and the server, and it worked, great modpack by the way ๐Ÿ‘

Required:

Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.

If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.

I didn't really experience problems with keybinds in BMC yet, it seems like even the keybinds that would interact with others, only work in the scenario you need the right one. Maybe other modpacks you played don't have a good solution for the many keybinds they need to set.

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!

1. Identify your graphics card
if you already know skip to the next step

  • Open task manager
  • Navigate to the "Performance" tab (on Windows 11 this is the button that looks like a heart pulse)
  • Press the GPU 0 graph and read your GPU from the top right

Note:
In some cases you may see a GPU 0 and GPU 1. This means your CPU has its own GPU, as well as a dedicated one. You probably want GPU 1 (which is usually the better one), but you can ask staff to clarify if necessary.

2. Download your drivers from the manufacturers site
Depending on what you read before, you likely need drivers from either AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the โ #bots channel.   3. Have you changed the modpack in any way? (e.g. changing mod versions, adding/removing mods)
  4. What version of the modpack are you using? (v11, v9, etc)
  5. Have you ever gotten past the crash condition without crashing, or does the game always crash?
  6. What steps cause the crash?

Required:

Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.
If there is no crash report, navigate to the logs folder and upload "latest.log."
If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.

Hey im having a server with the BMC3 modpack and have some issues. In the config of FabricWaystones they say the waystone will be generated atleast once in every village, but first of all there are almost no villages and two if there is a village there is no waystone, anyone knwo what i can do?

What does this mean?

Better MC v 18 on 1.21 on both server and client.

client is on fabric 0.16.10 on client, unsure on the server as Bisect doesn't say anywhere as far as I can tell

Can I ask how you get into a situation where a one time payment of 15 USD is not affordable? Most people I personally know that do that are just stingy, but I also live in a country where 15 dollar is not much money for 99% of the people there.

I can only think of a few reasons that would get you into a situation like this where I would get why 15 USD are too much:

  • You live in a very poor country
  • You are highly indebted
  • You are a minor and too young to have the possibilities to get money somehow

If you can afford it I don't think it is ethically ok do crack games. Also it breaks the law in most countries.

Yes this was a fundamental design choice for MC Architecture to avoid issues in game with such complex interactions between entities and the world.

While vanilla MC single-threating game logic includes:

  • Entity updates
  • Block updates
  • World generation and chink ticking

MC does have Multithreading optimizations for like:

  • Chunk loading and generation
  • Networking
  • Rendering - Only on Client side

Some farms in BMC don't work, since it was intentionally modified, so you can't create some farms

there are some works done by the papermc team that is trying to bring in multi threading but still not good enough for modded afaik
