Hey all - looking to update better mc (fabric) BMC2 to v26. Currently using modrinth and it doesn't look like I can do the latest update through them, at least not easily. Got it, yeah i found the minimap data on the client side which is easy enough to move over. For the HDR missing though... That i cant seem to find a solution on. Im also not sure if these textures in REI should be the classic missing texture purple and black like Gmod , or if this will be updated ?

1.21 for both NeoForge and Fabric are going to be a little behind the 1.20 versions just because mods are still updating. Most of the “important” mods are updated by now but the packs are still gonna be lacking a little. I know 1.21 NeoForge added Aether like this last week and supposedly the Fabric pack should be getting it soon since it got ported to fabric

I also prefer fabric just because it runs better and feels more like Minecraft to me compared to Forge, which has more content but at times seems like too much imo

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

Okay, i managed to built it after a while. The problem was that the hoppers lined up in different directions, which I had not noticed before.

It works like basic hopper+furnace automation system. Up goes the material(food, ores etc), from the back goes the charcoal, from the bottom goes the final product.
Each hopper obligatorily has a filter for Input/Output.
Going from the left:
Food, Ore, Wood(cause Im using charcoal), and the last one I currently do not use. Maybe I will need something someday.

and everything is connected via a cable connected from the bottom of the Inventory Connector(framed cable, thats why it looks like oak planks)

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

BMC4 is on forge. Better Minecraft has two different pack “series,” if you want to call it that. One on Fabric and one on Forge. Both packs have different versions based on what patch they’re running mods off of. The lower the number, the older the patch. Fabric has three packs right now, so BMC1-3, and Forge has 4, BMC1-4, and from my understanding they’re done making Forge packs as they’ve moved on to NeoForge. So the newest pack on the forge side is BMC5 NeoForge.

BMC3 fabric and BMC5 NeoForge are going to be the packs receiving the most updates since they’re the newest, mods are updating, and new ones come out. Fabric tends to have less content compared to Forge, but Fabric also tends to run better.

Guys, my game keeps crashing before I can even get to the actual game 😭

This only started happening after my game froze while playing it and when I went to exit the world it got stuck on the saving world part and now it’s just doing this. I’m physically stuck on the launcher only.

i am using version 1.20.1. The launcher i am using is modrinth. I added the enchancements mod but that was a few days ago and the mod pack still worked without that mod. You can go on your .minecraft folder and copy the XaeroWaypoints and XaeroWorldMap folder and paste it somewhere else

And then once you reinstall the modpack you can place them back there. Make sure to launch the game once after reinstalling and then leave it before doing it though. Might be safer that way

Hi, sorry for possibly dumb question, but why when I launch the Better MC [FABRIC] BMC2 latest version available on Modrinth that is https://modrinth.com/modpack/better-mc-fabric-bmc2/version/v25 I get a message in the game that there is some v26.5 available somewhere. How can I get v26.5 if it is not on Modrinth?

Also for some reason BMC2 Fabric is the only version where my Xbox controller detected and works as expected. In versions BMC3 Fabric or BMC4 Forge for example Xbox controller is not detected. Is there any fix for this?

Oh got it! Thank you so much for your answer. I tried my luck with Curse launcher, but it does not work for my macOS client and docker server, Fabric works well.

What about BMC3 Fabric not detecting Xbox controller is it expected?

Also is BMC2 Fabric going to be unsupported soon and will be replaced by BMC3 Fabric?

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Hi, i found a bug, not sure if devs aware, but crafting table functionality is not working as intended, when trying to use the crafting tables built in menu for crafting without having to manually place items in the grid, i have realised that when using ore like diamonds, it is not showing that its possible to craft armour or tools with the ore, it doesn't show up, only option it gives is a diamond hammer... me and my partner both tried with same result, let me know if this is happening for others?

Thank you, will go through all of those, also running into an issue with the standard crafting recipe book. I seem to have lost all my recipes, for example, I can't craft an iron block anymore without having to manually put the iron bars in the right places, example screenshot attached. Any ideas on how to resolve this? It's the same for many things, snow blocks, ender pearl blocks etc

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.

I recently tried playing BMC3 (Fabric) on PojavLauncher, but I faced some issues. On my first attempt, the game crashed while loading the world. After a few tries, I removed 2-3 mods, and it finally worked. However, it still lags a lot and eventually crashes. Could you please help me with this? Is there a lighter version of the modpack, or could you suggest which mods I can safely remove to improve performance and avoid crashes? I really want to enjoy playing BMC3 without these.

My specs:
samsung SM-S711B, api verison (34), architecture arm 64.
