Hey, on my server everything is working fine EXCEPT for one person - they can play singleplayer but crash when joining MP server... I used teamviewer to remotely verify their install, but it looks good. Even after fully reinstalling, troubleshooting, and stress testing all their hardware i cannot find the cause... I need help at this point - please let me know if you need logs, there does not seem to be an exit code, its a straight CTD.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.

I am running the BCM2 modpack with him using the same. both updated to latest versions and i downloaded the matching serverpack. i am able to connect to the server i have running but when he tries using my ipv4 address and server id# his connection times out. we never had this issue with past direct servers. am i missing something?

It still registers the mobs as being there, they even appear on xaero's minimap as purple blips, but for some reason they're invisible and the game registers them as non-existant but existing if that makes sense?

hi all! my bf and I have this mod pack through biosect hosting and it was working perfectly fine for both of us for like 4-5 hours. I had gotten off to make dinner and he remained online but got off a little later. I am now unable to join back and continue to get the same error code, but he is able to play. I have a copy of the error log and error code which I can attach. I just wanted to play some before my classes tomorrow ):

Hello, I have a problem on my server and not sure how to fix it. When you place any type of slab it crashes the server regardless of how you placed it. I think its to do with autoslabs mod but not sure. I tried removing the autoslabs mod on the server folder but when I joined the server again, it was really buggy and there was a lot of invisible blocks even though there were no slabs around me. Anyone else having this issue? also anyone know how to fix it? The server modpack is Better MC [FABRIC] BMC2 - 1.20.1 v9.5. I have looked around faq channel but dont really see anything about it. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place idk or its a bug of 1.20.1. Any help would be appreciated :)

ok so when i select the updated modpack for the server, do I keep my current files for my instance to keep the same world data and player data ?

your playerdata is saved in the world file of your server

make a backup of you world

then move it over
