If I get too close to any building I have never been to before then it freezes the server and crashes

LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world. There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way. Here are your options:

1. Create a server using the server pack or through a Bisect purchase. Type !server in #bots for more information.
2. Install the e4mc mod and then Open to LAN ingame.

I was calculating slab placement on both the server and client. if you moved while placing a slab (just enough to make the client raycast and the server raycast differ slightly), you could get a flash of the client thinking it placed a slab, and then the server saying "no, you placed it here"

since I've changed the placement code to be handled server-side only, there is technically a teeny delay from when you place the slab and when it shows up on screen compared to all other blocks which have placement on both sides

technically there is the possibility of this "desync"-looking bug to appear when breaking half of a double slab, but I haven't actually seen it happen at all. (prob because people stay still when breaking blocks lol)

Interesting. The mod is on there. And it was working in previous versions. It's only now that I noticed it doesn't work correctly. If I stand near mobs or players while holding a torch, they light up. But none of the surrounding blocks do. Which leads me to think it's bugged.

You can try to copy as much of the stuff you have built as you can in creative mode. It would be a long manual process as you would have to convert missing blocks/items yourself, but thats probably the best way without destroying your world lol.

Yeah, we stopped playing once we heard that MC 1.20 was almost released and were waiting for BMC and mods to catch up to the new content. But since so much will be different we're realizing that we'd probably have to wipe clean anyway. I know they reworked armor and such. It sucks... but it is what it is.

I'm playing with Better MC 2 on Fabric, and I have a server. On said server, villagers are unable to be attacked by zombies at all, no matter what. I am using the reccomended server settings, and I would like to make it so they can be zombified, which mod is doing this/how do I change this? (if you reply, pls ping)

This is usually because the Zombie is fixated on you, wall him off so he can't see you (use glass so you can still see) or walk out of range or something.

Also some odd things will block a zombies pathing, slabs, etc.

that is not the case, as I went into creative mode and spawned a zombie & a villager in a hole together and the zombie was doing the attack animation, however nothing was happening to the villager

i recreated the same test in a singleplayer world and the villager was zombified

the difficulty is on hard in the server

If you are playing Minecraft in creative mode, then zombies will never attack villagers, no matter what you do.

So I'm not sure creative mode is a good test, but hmm - yeah not sure then buddy.

95% of the time i've seen people with this issue it's been because the zombie is tracking the player, not the villager.

Hello im running a server with this modpack and im trying to get the Charm mod azalea logs but azaleas give out the Ecologics azalea logs. Ive changed the ecologics json "replaceAzaleaTree": false but it still generates their logs. I've also disabled that setting it on my clientside mod config menu.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download

3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.
