I noticed while playing just now that in the BetterMC Fabric - BMC1, the quest book for the Nether has a mistake for the Corpor Quest. Killing a Corpor does not complete the quest, having a Corpor spawn egg completes the quest. Luckily, I am just in survival singleplayer for fun, so I was able to give myself an egg in creative mode to complete it (I already killed multiple Corpors in-game)

Okay, I have port forwarded 25565 to the local computer hosting the server (external port 25565 to internal port 25565) nmap shows the port has a closed minecraft server (in other words the port forward was done properly) For whatever reason, when I put my public IP into the server properties file, the start script crashes everytime without fail, however, with my lan ip or just leaving it blank, the start script works fine and the server runs normally. I cannot connect to the server from my public address on the forwarded port unless I change the properties file for the service to listen for connection requests to the public IP. Can someone give me a hand with the crashing?

I would prefer not to setup a tunnel for my friends so any help appreciated.

when they type your ip into direct connect they're connecting to your network or something

the service hosts itself on localhost by default, if you type an ip itll try hosting off that ip

so leave it blank

as for firewall rules, outbound and inbound for java.exe and javaw.exe

javaw is the window, aka mc client itself

java is the server application

I found an issue in this modpack that will make the Smithing Table seem un-usable. The Smithing Table is using the 1.20 Minecraft version graphic where it requires trim and has 3 input slots. The slots and graphic do not align and make it seem like it doesn't work.

if open parties and claims mod is in this, you have to force load the chunk with one of the /openpac commands (no I don't know which one), if ftb chunks is in this then you need to force load with the map that you claim on

If you´re still alive (i couldn´t survive in an environment as bright as that), that´s complementarys way of showing you the light levels as long as you´re holding a light source in one of your hands.

Im on curseforge on BMC1 v1.19.2 17.5 HF I've added the litematic(with MaLiLib) and essential mod. When I go into any world and try to enter the nether the "joining world" loading screen pops up and my game closes out giving me the error code:1 message every time

So the only thing I can think of is krobex modified his claims settings. By default it allows access to party members.

The other issue is possibly pc performance, I originally started forge and my pc was a bit weird with shaders but I could fully play it but chunk loading was bad but then it started crashing before I could start the game so now I have fabric, I still use the shaders but my pc is now suddenly getting insanely hot while playing the mod and I think my pcs performance is somewhat good

ok so I ended up having that structure lag I was talking about before, hard to see on a video which is 60fps but maybe you would be able to see it, I could grab with a frametime graph also if needed. You can hopefully see in the fortress when I'm looking around there are slight stutters, this isn't as bad as it can be, sometimes we'd have to literally lower our render distance to 2 chunks. You can see when I teleport to base and after the chunks have loaded there is no stutter at all

Update to this. I changed the server type to Fabric and it fixed it. I have it up and running now with a fresh fabric jar in the server files. For some reason Shockbyte just hasn't updated their Better Mc Fabric server type to v18 so I switched to Fabric to update it that way

My friends and I are big fans of the Better Minecraft modpack and have played on version v18HF (3/11/2022) (Minecraft 1.18.1).We still have our old save file and would love to continue playing on the newer version, 1.19.2 . We know there have been significant changes between versions, and we're not sure if it's even doable. But we thought we'd reach out and see if there's any chance you could guide us through it or provide any assistance. and i did link few screenshots of our world in the older version and the crash report when i tried to launch the save in the newest version of the modpack

I need some help. I tried to make a piglin brute farm using soul cages, but found out that , piglin brutes spawned by the soul cage don't give souls, making it near impossible to do so.On the other hand I can also make a magma cube farm with these soul cages, I want to use 9 Ultimate tier ones, how should I construct this big structure?

I really don't know how to do this, and there is no one else online that has attempted to make this big of magma cube farm

I just updated to the newest version v18 and the update to how the map (when pressing M) works is confusing me a bit. My previously explored areas don't show up unless ive set "cave mode" to OFF. But when I set it to OFF my newly explored areas just turn up as grey on the map. Is there any way to make the map display my previously explored areas without turning the current area (if im underground) into a grey blank space?

I'm not sure how to word this and I hope you guys understand what I'm getting at. The screenshot shown shows what my map looks like while I'm strip mining for Ancient Debris at Y14 with Cave Mode turned OFF.

The new version of better mc came out recently, i want to update my server to the newer version, which files do i need to update? Can i just take the 'mods' folder from the newer version and put it in my older server? And also will my world stay the same?

If you run /season query

The server crashes.

Looks like maybe the function for FabricSeasons.getCurrentSeason() was removed but the command is still available / causes crash.

Just a heads up to the server hosters out there to not run this 🙂

Please click this link and follow the guide. If you are using a server host such as Bisect, you may be limited in your options and instead have a checkbox to use Aikar's Flags, which will also work:

If you can not launch your server/game after using these flags, then remove the word java from the start. Also, make sure you are using Java 18 on 1.18.2 / 1.19.2 and Java 11 on 1.16.5. These should be downloaded from Adoptium's website.
