Hello chat, trying out MMC4, and I had a few issues

1. Is there a way to disable, or at the very least tweak down dramatically the rate of dragons in the world? I have this issue of just constantly running into them (and having to run away from them) and dying because good lord a roaming 900hp world enemy is not very fun to fight while searching for a base spot

2. Can structure percentage be toned down/tweaked? I don't know if it's just my seeds, the sea specifically, or what, but I see so many bunched up world structures that i feel like it has to be something tweaked by the mod, seeing MMC3 lacked this absurd amount

3. is... something causing world spawn to ALWAYS be in a village? Without fail, every single seed i've generated started in a village

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

1. Download an adoptium release for Java (recommended but not required):

3. Check if java has been correctly installed by running java --version (or java -version on older versions), and seeing if the output is correct (see https://imgur.com/a/OWcoq4p for an example of the output)

4. If the output isn't as intended, you have 2 options.

   ii) Redirect your launcher/server to use your new installation of Java

1. Uninstall any other java program listed in your programs list (differs by OS, please find a guide for your own OS if you don't know)
2. Attempt to re-use the command mentioned above (if the output is now correct, which it should be, you are ready to go)

1. For a server, please modify the $Java/JAVA variable (found in your startup script depending on ps1/sh) to the path of your java installation. For windows, this path is usually found in "Program Files/Eclipse Adoptium/version_of_java/bin"

Its stated on the description of the spawners that they can be disassembled with silk touch.... But all I got is Spawner scrap, instead of the spawner... Is there something my buddy has to adjust in the server settings or just the apotheosis configs? We did restart the server afterwards just in case...

That's an extremely niche thing to want that I doubt any mod would include in it's features so searching for it might be hard. Although I do remember some old mods that may have what you're looking for but I can't think of the names off the top of my head.

Considering how powerful you can get, without it you won't really have a challenge with anything if you outright disable it. You can cap the levels in your config and change how quickly mobs levels based on distance from spawn, but I would recommend against just disabling it altogether.

I've played the same world for several months. It has recently started failing to load the world about 3/5 of the time and I have to restore from the backups. I haven't changed anything since installing the modpack and adding Ars Additions. Hello 🙂 The animal fat that i collected isn't technically the animal fat i need to make candles. My animal fat is not described as a "light Meal" and is from the "survival" Mod. The Fat I need comes from the "delightful" Mod. I have Stacks of the useless fat and not the fat that I need. Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

im playing MMC3 on forge, I use trackpad so i have always used control as my sprint & Interact
For some reason i cannot use jump if I am holding Control & its making movement nearly unplayable. I have nothing else bound to control, (and i think nothing bound to space id have to double check)
Does anyone know whats causing this and/or how to stop this from happening?

There's a bug in the modid/jar identifier for the auto reports on non-mc launchers which I'm working on so there'll probably be an update at some point. It's a bit hard to debug because it can't test in dev

I will note there is still one edge case in 2.0 where a ticking exception thrown on a player on the client-networking thread that can cause neruina to fail to handle it gracefully. But it's rare as most mods should move off that thread to avoid concurrency issues, and if that does happen, that mod is doing something quite wrong

Currently getting kicked from my server for this. Don't know why it's happening, I was just walking through a dungeon and got kicked. Now I can't load into the server for longer than 5 seconds without it kicking me. We're running the regular pack with no changes made. This also happened to someone else where we had to delete his player data and fully reset his progress.
