This question probably gets asked very frequently but I can't find a definitive recent answer. I haven't played any version of BMC yet. Should I play BMC4(forge) or BMC5(neoforge)? I'm mainly looking to have the most content possible. Most answers I can find are a few months old and were recommending BMC4. However, the mod list for BMC5 seems to have doubled since that time.

Hey I'm not sure if this bug is fixed but there is a pickarang duplicate bug.

If you have full infintory and throw the pickarang then before it come back to you, you need to pick up a block with the mod carry on.

my fault I saw the top comments but didn't see that button. I'm running on version 1.21.1 on forge, the version of the mod pack is the latest v14, and we added roughly 15 "compatible" mods to the mod pack.

ok I found that for some reason in the server folder the mod was completely missing even though I downloaded the whole profile off of forge. This has happened a couple times before and I would just be told they were missing when I tried to open the server on the launcher. But for this error I couldn't tell what was going on. Hey there. Playing on BMC4v36(Forge 1.20.1) and I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong or something is funky or I'm just misunderstanding what these binds are supposed to do. I'm trying to bind this button to sort containers(and the corresponding player inventory) to keys so I don't have to click every time and no matter what I bind them to they don't seem to do anything.
I've toggled all the inventory sorting settings I can find in quark's config on both server and client side(and restarted the server) and nothing seems to be changing.

Solved my own issue. Those buttons are from "Inventory Management" and don't allow for keybinds. Still not sure what the quark sorting is supposed to do but added a different mod to do what I wanted instead.

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

You need to open the port, probably 25565, in your router port forwarding settings for TCP. Use the local IP of the computer the server runs on.

im trying it now with just fresh forge server no mods, just to see if it works same problem so its something with port

ive done a 1.18.2 forge server as a test, it has no mods nothing, we both installed forge 1.18.2 client loaded up sever works for me but offline for him

i just started playing and a lot of the blocks and items i’m interested is from the blue skies mod. i’m wondering if the items from that mod come from a specific dimension, or it’s just rare biomes the items come from, etc. just wondering how to find some of those cool things !

okay another question, what would be the best starter dimension to go to? some would say the nether but that looks just as gigantic as everything else so again what would be the best dimension to start off with ?
