Required:

Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.
If there is no crash report, navigate to the logs folder and upload "latest.log."
If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.

yeah, BMC3 had the old citadel+terrablender bug that would have caused this even if they didn't add anything.

5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

ISSUES WITH v36, I don't know if it's just for me or for everyone else : -complementary shaders + euphoria patch v1.4 not working anymore, when I apply its just not working like it was removed EDIT: wasnt working on curseforge, i reinstalled the modpack in ATlauncher and now it works normally -JEI (see screenshot below) : now I have a text "search to view recipes" while in v35.5 or any other version I could see all the items on the right of my screen when I opened my inventory on pages like 1/146 **EDIT : this one is from the mod Distraction Free Recipes (EMI / REI / JEI) **that they added in v36 guess ill just remove it when im playing, i like seeing all the items showing in the right of the screen
(+bonus if you played the sandstorm in a bottle like me from the cataclysm mod, it has been rewortked in the last v of the mod in v36 of bmc4 and now you cant put it in the belt slot and fly for some seconds by pressing x)

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. You can also run type !server in the same channel to learn how to properly host a server for better performance and more flexibility. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. To learn more about alternatives to the Essential mod, check out this website.

Hey, I have an issue with the new v36 version.

I am playing BMC4 with Create as an additional mod. Since I upgraded from version 35.5 to 36 there seems to be an issue with shaders and the iris flywheel compat mod. As long as shaders are deactivated everything is fine. Once they are enabled the game crashes and does not start anymore. It worked fine with the older version.

Any idea what the cause of the issue is or how I can use flywheel with shaders active in another way?

Hi! im playing on BMC4 version 1.20.1. I used curseforge. I had changed the modpack by adding 2 mods and then my bisect hosting server messed up because of it so I uninstalled and reinstalled BMC4 so now it is back to just the normal mods in the pack. The issue ive been having is that when I load into my world and click E to open my inventory, the game crashes. The version of the modpack is v36 and the game didnt always do this. It happened after I uninstalled and reinstalled. Also im unsure if this is important information but after i uninstalled and reinstalled, I tried joining my BisectHosting server again and it made me use older versions of certain mods because thats what was apparently in my server when I first started my world like 2 days ago so i had to go put the older version of about 4 mods into the modpack replacing the newer versions of them on curseforge. This is the crash report I keep getting

Yeah if you hit ESC, click on the Options... button, from there click Controls... button, then click on the Keybinds button. In this menu you can scroll to find the JEI settings section. Or you can search for Select Search Bar. Just change this key to something that isn't a letter key. That's how I fixed it!

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

Hi! im playing on BMC4 version 1.20.1. I used curseforge. I had changed the modpack by adding 2 mods and then my bisect hosting server messed up because of it so I uninstalled and reinstalled BMC4 so now it is back to just the normal mods in the pack. The issue ive been having is that when I load into my world and click E to open my inventory, the game crashes. The version of the modpack is v36 and the game didnt always do this. It happened after I uninstalled and reinstalled. Also im unsure if this is important information but after i uninstalled and reinstalled, I tried joining my BisectHosting server again and it made me use older versions of certain mods because thats what was apparently in my server when I first started my world like 2 days ago so i had to go put the older version of about 4 mods into the modpack replacing the newer versions of them on curseforge. Nevermind i fixed it. It was bc I updated the mods. I downloaded BMC4 v35.5 Jan 1st and it updated to v36 because it came out the very next day on Jan 2nd and told me I could update. It messed with my BisectHosting server. Thank you for the help though

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide.

Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

they only have 16 gigs of ram. 8 has been the best sweet spot for anything that is around that range for ram amount. Java is just hateful when there's too much ram allocated. I have 64 gigs ram personally and still set mine to 8 as to not make java have tantrums

10 can be fussy even for most higher end computers. That's just cause of Java not handling extra ram though.

If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

Hello

When I create waypoints in dimension nether and twilight it creates the waypoints on the overworld.

Even when I manually select the nether dimension for example, it doesn't work. It shows that I am still in the overworld.

But for example in Everbright and Everdawn dimension it works correctly.

My server is on v36

It automatically recognizes that I am in those dimensions and sets the waypoints there.

Also because of that it doesn't set the Y coordinate automatically in Nether and Twilight Forest.

And of course it shows those waypoints also in the overworld and visa-versa in Nether and Twilight.

(Also the complementary + euphoria Shader Pack doesn't work on v36 somehow)

Relevant information:

• I didn't add any additional mods
• I have a server on v36
• MC Version is 1.20.1
• No other parameters that were modified somehow
• Launcher is CurseForge

Same for me. Did anyone resolve this? When I stand at the bottom of the beacon, you can see the light go all the way up. Though from the surface it's not visible. Nothing blocking it

Did you update from an older version to this one?

ATM10 team recently experienced something similar:
They included the Euphoria folder before directly in older versions (2.17) and starting 2.18 they only include the mod (and standard Comp) and let it generate (how it's supposed to be done).
Curseforge deletes old files after updating a modpack to delete old config files of removed mods. By doing that Curseforge also deletes all files inside the Euphoria Patches folder and only left the file structure. The mod won't regenerate the pack as it still thinks it's installed as the folder with the name is still there (I have now made a fix on my side as I will now check if files are inside and if not I will delete those folders and the mod will reinstall Euphoria Patches.)
I am not sure if this is the same issue here.
Just mentioning it. Check if the folder inside Euphoria Patches in the shader packs folder contains no files and only folders. If he's, then in the better MC modpack there was made the same mistake as in ATM10
