This isn't the best metric for the health of the network. All it really says is how congested the network is (which may be a good data point for how you'll experience sage though at least until priority fees w/ starbased). In theory that shouldn't actually cause the network to crash or anything.

The way that works is a server is just sending transactions periodically and displaying the results of how many confirmed.

This is not a unique issue to Star Atlas, the entire Solana network is slow today. To make your transactions work you'll need have set a higher priority fee.

The reality is that your earnings are heavily based on your strat/time spent playing. It would be safe to bet that a "passive" type player could likely earn at least 20% or so on their initial investment at a minimum. That being said. I have a guy in my group that started with 2 X4s like 6 months ago and has worked his way up to 2 Maxhogs and 3 Lowbies with 2 T1 claims....

The sky really is the limit here as long as you aren't a slacker ....

There's a few ways. You can earn eggs to sell or if you have an Aurorian (Which are expensive as shit) they earn on expedidtions. Then you can do the turn based strategy to earn a share of the pool as well

Definitely, the Armstrong Tip already looks a bit like one. If I have to theory craft maybe something like:

1. Mech suits for either External repair or combat in deep space or exploration of uncharted planets:

• Engineers/Support could be piloting the Mech suit to do external repairs on larger ships
• Military could pilot them when fighting in starbases or trying to take as ships by abordage
• Scientist could pilot them when exploring new planets with harsh conditions

2. Mech suits could be considered a type of non-remote operated Drone that still can be launched from a Drone port ( provided that it is big enough drone port, obviously the Medtech would not be a able to do so)

Could have a tier 0 that can be used to just load cargo by the crew and then possibly upgrade the mainframe for specific purpose

Solana network is congested apparently. It is tough but I suggest using Phantom wallet if you have it. It uses priority fee txs. It seem to work for me.

The large problem is DAPP developers were a bit spoiled whenthey were building on solana because it was TOO fast. They didnt need to buld lean or even include priority tx. Builders were focused on BUILDING not being efficient.

This is why Starbased is a huge change because ATMTA had to basically refactor their entire system to be leaner TX wise and include priority fees, etc etc,.

So its both Solana and the DAPP developers working together.

Yep, exactly what's happening. You can actually visually track it. When you hit start, when congested, just some ingredients get deducted. It's getting stuck because that's relying on too many deposits, and if a single one fails, it all fails.

Maybe a system that does one transaction at a time, as an optional alternative? It would be click-heavy, manual, but you could deposit one by one, and redo only the ones that fail.

The game is about to change with the next version of Starbased rolling out so different gameplay loops and different ships may be better/worse. Scanning for SDUs is currently capped at 2K per minute so they are highly valuable, however the cap will get eliminated in the next version so they may not be as valuable. It's constantly evolving.

What you do not understand is that the chain is PUBLIC, labs is actually a frontend easing the people's life. Star atlas exisits in the chain even if there is no labs. Sly is just like an addition, unofficcial but addition anyway.
