Would love to see some fixes/changes to the character creator. Orc faces are way to wrinkly/baggy even at the lowest age slider and the remaster version of Orc hairstyles are not cleanly shaved like in the orginal but rather have a weird hair falling out look for some reason no matter the graphical setting (hard to tell if this is intentional or just a bug). A toggle for Khajiit sideburns and beards would be nice too, as well as the ability to color the hair and fur separately (same goes for Argonians). In general a closer 1 to 1 would be nice for those who want to create characters with similar appearances to our OG Oblivion characters.

A nice touch would be a unique look for unique items. For example, an old mod for the OG game named "One Of A Kind Weapons" did just that, it's a small addition, but it makes things feel way more special and finding/buying them is way more rewarding. 🤔
DLCs like Skyrim to add werewolf and vampire transformations and skills, house building, families, pets, new weapons, powers and buffs. Options to hide helmet, change ambient color to classic and make followers unkillable.
Please add a Barber / Appearance changer
This wouldn't be too hard to add to the game, just giving us access to the basic race menu etc, similar to how we got the woman in the ratway of Skyrim that could alter your appearance
Even with the graphical improvements, the lighting in the prison and then the sewer exit wasn't great for seeing the character creation, and having to go back on hours of gameplay to fix a nose or whatever really sucks.
Just my two cents, but the work you guys have done is nothing short of remarkable. Thank you so much for transporting me back to this world, and my younger self, all over again
A Barber because my character's beard keeps clipping through all the helmets.
Make the imperial legion palace guard armor wearable I’ve always wanted to wear it for roleplaying I know there has been mod for it for the old and now new version but make it official for us please on consoles too I wanna add it to my collection of armors
You can pick up the palace guards shield, but not the armor please make it happen it’s a beautiful piece of armor hehe
My biggest request, and I think most people agree this is necessary, please change Expert and Master to make them more engaging to play! As an Orc with the Warrior Sign, and a custom class using Blunt, Block, Heavy Armor and a specialization in Strength and Endurance, it feels really bad to deal less damage than a Mudcrab while also getting two-shot by them!
Hello, really enjoying the game so far. But as others have said, the performance needs to be optimized to reduce FPS stutters and texture pop-ins. Some of my main friction points so far have been with the menu UI.
1 - Can't see what items do at a glance. You have to click through to the details menu to see what type of gear you have (light/heavy armor), or what effects/duration potions have. The original had little popups that showed all this info. Also related, some of the 3D models in the details menu are not centered in the window, but are floating off to the left, under the menu elements.
2 - The "all items" tab needs to be moved back to the head of the inventory tabs. Being behind the "misc" tab is unintuitive.
3 - The player's inventory should open up along side container inventory, without needing an extra button press. It makes storing and retrieving items quicker.
4 - opening the map while indoors should default to the local map.
5 - The dialogue camera zoom-in animation is not smooth. Unless they're standing right in front of you, it seems to jerk around, sometimes spinning 360 before focusing on the NPC.
6 - When the cross hairs go over a horse you're riding, their name keeps popping up. Also related, reduce the side of the black box around NPC/horse names.
7 - Container search sounds are all using the same sound file. In the original game, sacks, barrels, cupboards, fleshy pods, all had their own unique opening sounds.
8 - The Mythic Dawn pamphlets from the Deluxe Edition quest are still marked as quest items and cannot be removed from inventory even after the quest is complete.
9 - In the alchemy tab of the inventory, the potions and ingredients should be separated like in the original. Right now they're all thrown in together and it's a mess.
Companions and Guards become pretty weak late game. It really discourages me from leveling up because I love traveling around with my DND style party.
I travel with the Fan, Battle Horn knight, Knight of the nine, assassin initiate, mage apprentice, and fighter.
Then I go to complete the main quest with my small army, which feels cool cuz it's like the guilds are banding together to fight the crisis. But by the time I get to this point, im such a high level the daedra are way too powerful for any of the NPCs to stand against.
I just ask that the companions, legion, and guards have better level scaling too.
Weight on the Deluxe edition weapons make me not want to use them. They're both over double the Daedric equivalent for dagger for example (Daedric is 10, 22 on the Deluxe). Very disappointing. Would hope that is changed.
UI/UX improvements
- Please allow all sliders to be moved left and right using the 'A' and 'D' keys respectively, plus the Left and Right arrow keys respectively.
- Please allow the 'E' key to be used as 'Enter' for the purposes of buying items, selling items, dropping/transferring a stack of items, or any other dialog/pop-up windows.
EDIT: The player should never have to use the mouse, and the player's left hand should never have to leave the WASD cluster on the keyboard, to navigate through the UI. Whenever possible, of course.
I think Difficulty should be reworked.
Player damage multipliers and enemy damage multipliers should be detethered from difficulty and made into separate sliders in an accessibility options menu, similar to other modern rpgs.
Difficulty should be something you select at new game with more significant mechanical changes.
As an example you could have 4 difficulty options:
- Beginner: Removes the rest requirement for levelling up, the ragdoll effect when you go below 0 fatigue, and the spell effectiveness stat
- Standard: Identical to current mechanics implementation
- Expert: restores the fatigue mechanics of the original game, where your fatigue level affects your damage output, as well as removes xp from levelling minor skills.
- Master: As Expert, but additionally removes fast travel and passive health and magicka regeneration, making you more reliant on inns and consumables.
This would let you keep the beginner friendly changes while also restoring some of the things experienced players enjoyed from previous games
Hello team! Amazing job with the remaster. Blown away so far.
Please consider allowing a smaller/compact version of the main window HUD on consoles. Similar to how we have large and small options for subtitles. It would be nice to have a more compact compass, corner equipment icons, as well as more compact magic, health, and stamina bars.
My only request would be to PLEASE bring back the saturation and lighting filters from the original game.
Another suggestion (I don't know if this has already been suggested)
Photomode?
Also another that is a preference: I feel that leveling up attributes are too easy, but I really do like the virtue point system. One suggested change I would like to see is if your Favorited Attributes (which you start with two) only require one virtue point, Unfavorited attributes require 2 virtue points, and of course Luck can remain the same requiring 4 virtue points. I think a change like this makes more sense from a class perspective.
Please keep in mind, this is for suggestions only. Please look to the pinned messages for where to report any bugs you may find.
The difficulty options are crazy. Adept is WAY too easy and Expert is WAY too hard for a first playthrough. I've played the OG Oblivion for hundreds of hours and the difficulty slider in the original game was great for fine-tuning the experience. Plz fix.
I have an idea why not add a bribe dialogue to the guards to bribe them if you get in trouble either to pay with gold or to use the speech the mini game I know in Skyrim, you could bribe the guards at the different holds of the cities by doing a speech but it would be cool to actually make it a dialogue option like that just a thought…
Also wish we could have more than one custom blue marker. there are many points of interests I want to go back to later, but I have only one marker. Or maybe a second type of marker that doesn't go on the compass. Just like little dots to mark points of interests or something.
Fix the difficulty, its either way too easy or way too hard
Add a centered camera option to toggle between the camera offset and centered in 3rd person, even as an accessibility feature. For character and mount
Add options to turn on a bloom and old color scheme (PS5). It made the old Oblivion feel more magical. I miss that feel in the remaster. Colors are a bit bland in the remaster compared to the original.
full body rendering for first person mode. Dark messiah of might and magic did it back in 2006 idk why oblivion can't have it in 2025 also turn off forced ray tracing.
Add option to customize and turn off hud.
Give us a toggle to put back old UI / HUD
Lycanthropy
We NEED a new sprint animation, it looks very out of place and goofy and because of its "expressive nature" it causes all kinds of terrible apparel glitches and clipping issues.
Wear any robe, bulky armor, big shield ect and it will cause immersion breaking visual problems with varying severity.
For robes. When sprinting, your legs start clipping through the bottom badly.
Running with a big shield or bulky cuirass, you are constantly being impaled through the skull with every step.
Even just running up a hill your face is piledriving into the dirt over and over.
Pls adjust this 🙏
Also would it be possible to add an option to disable the HUD and also maybe a dynamic HUD? An optional filter for the classic color filter would be cool as well! There's also an issue in the menu with equipped weapons and shields disappearing from view when opening the menu, Needing to be unequipped and equipped again to show back up.
These feature suggestions are really great but also please remember to release performance patches 💪 But thanks for the great game. You can rest easy Todd
Killcam and decapitation/dismemberment. I feel like the game is missing that umf from Skyrim. The combat system is kind of bland. Yes it stays true to the original, but a game of with such high quality graphics deserves better kill/combat animations.
Fix the Difficulty system please add a new diffficulty between sdept and expert
I’ll keep adding suggestions over time but for now the ones I’d like to see are:
1: I’d like to be able to hockey buttons on to double taps, hold button, or button combinations.
Examples are dodging could be moved to double tap crouch button rather than only whilst holding block.
Press the back button to wait, hold it to access map etc
The combination would play into suggestion 2 which is 4 separate hotkey wheels. To use them you would hold the hotkey button then press (Xbox) A,B,X or Y to switch between.
3: I’d also like to see a slide option and kick enemy back added. I believe these could take advantage of changes to button presses. Crouch button whilst sprinting slides.
Kick could be say LB/L1 and RB/L1 together. (Skyrim Shout or the player could move magic to that and kick to spell button 🤷♀️)
4: A spell that recalls your horse and a system to own multiple horses
5: A hearth fire style building area or settlement building area. Grow crops, store horses etc
6: New skills under miscellaneous Skills,
•Fishing (add fishing)
•Cooking (add recipes to find)
•Hunting (increases yields etc)
•Horse Riding (horse combat, speed, saddlebags)
•Mining (Add more nodes)
•Smithing, Jewellery crafting etc
Younger looking male Orcs!
Lockpicking is missing the "ping!" sound effect, it had variations that helped find the right timing. That's a big one for me.
When picking up gold in the inventory screen, it used to make a satisfying "clink" sound effect. I noticed that is missing now. It still plays when picking up gold from in-world, but not when in the menu. Bring that back! It's a little thing, but gold is something you get frequently and it's satisfying.
Color grading options even in Xbox
Please return the old armour clunking sounds..... wearing heavy armour and sprinting around with no audio other than what soinds like leather boots is really off putting. Its also one of the things that made you feel really cool
Please make unarmed combat feel weighted are like the original it felt off to me when throwing punches but I could be wrong it felt light and slower if you know what I mean???
- Bringing up the map needs to default to the local map when indoors.
1a. In addition to #2, a new hotkey only for the local map would be nice.
1b. A new separate map for local map that allows zoom would be fantastic. - Bring back unique container sounds.
- Ability to search your inventory.
- Ability to group items in your inventory by type, particularly potions. It's a pain to scroll through my entire potions and ingredients section looking for potions.
- Would be nice to quick sell items by say holding shift+click.
- We need a key ring for all these keys we pick up.
- I know you want to stay pure with vanilla, but scaling enemies and quest rewards suck and literally no one likes it. It's far more immersive for dungeons and areas to have a set level range, and if I get there too early I can leave and come back stronger. Or brave it hoping for great rewards.
- Need a horse flute or some manner of calling our horse. Preferably turn it into a hotkey so it doesn't waste a hotbar slot.
- The color scheme sucks and is too brown. Luckily it's easy enough to fix with Reshade.
- 2-handed weapons swing much slower than in vanilla but don't have a damage boost to compensate, making them far inferior to 1-handed and shield.
- Dialogue zoom in will sometimes pan 45+ degrees and just looks silly. Suggested to make it less wide.
I have one nitpick about the remaster and it’s hilariously niche, but it’s hard to make a good, optimal, mage outfit that looks good right now.
Finding a hood, shirt, pants, and shoes that match a mage aesthetic is a nightmare.
The model changes to various clothing options, while stunning, have kinda broken some outfits that worked in the past.
I’d love to have pants under robes, given that robes are a horrible waste of two slots historically for Oblivion. I could bite the bullet and wear armor, but I wanna keep my 100% spell efficiency without looking like a total goober
New game plus so I can have a new playthrough for each guild or Questline
As for QoL: combat on horseback and a proper cancel shot button for bows
As for updates/features: photo mode, fishing, actual cooking
Make bookshelves function the same way they do in Skyrim. Let players place books on them.
prevent the invisiblity to wear off while the power attack is charging... litteraly prevents any stealth kill
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that right now when trying to pick items up I accidentally just move them around. I think the timing for how long you hold the button before it’s considered “held” instead of “pressed” is very short.
Please make a Physical Copy of the game!
This has definitely been mentioned before but the HUD (especially on PC) feels MASSIVE. I’d love an option to scale it down (reticle included).
1 - Goblin Wars! (Was it a legend? Was it real? We might never know for a fact. BUT! We can now! Let us start Goblin Wars! :D )
2 - Pets? Mudcrabs and Wolfs?
3 - Survival difficulty - Like in Skyrim/Fallout New Vegas.
4 - Dual wielding (I know, I know... but hear me out. Sprinting wasn't in Oblivion too... + Dual wielding daggers is fun :D)
5 - Mounted spell casting sward swinging :D
6 - A split between damage dealt by player to NPC and NPC damage dealt to Player. i.e. Difficulty option like in Starfield.
7 - Cooking would be fun.
8 - Blocking Skill to work with blocking with just hands more - i.e. when you are playing like a monk, only fighting with fists, blocking would have more "involvement" then just reduced fatigue use.
9 - Sit anywhere animation - like, you press a hot key and sit down somewhere nice.
10 - Dynamic HUD - i.e. visible when in use, gone when it is not.
Please do QOL for vampires atleast make it where if you where a hood u take no sun damage or reduced damage and just rework the vampires there so plain in oblivion , atleast add a potion or something to help counter the constant sun damage add maybe a vampiric drain spell like Skyrim nothing crazy just mainly QOL FOR THE VAMPIRES WE NEED IT🖤
I'd like to see
3 "Low effort" Fixes
- Usable Palace Guard Armour (Easily fixed in editor)
- Usable Mythic Dawn bound spells (Requires 1st person animations)
- Fix the texture of the Blackwood armour to match it's unique original design (Requires a retexture)
I also feel the proportions of the legion armour seem off compared to the original, however, it's still beautiful enough for me to overlook it.
Let me pet the dogs
The type 1 / female armours look great, but they're too bulky. They look way too big on that body type. Could it be adjusted to fit better? I'm sick of having a torso as big as a male orc.
Add performance mode for xbox.
add kicks or other cool stuff for hand-to-hand builds (drop kicking or other cool moves)
( Xbox ) just got a patch and all it did was remove the game from my Xbox, am I pissed, YES.
Fix bald vampires and make the players eyes when turning into a vampire actually change. 🙏
I mentioned have 4 hotkey wheels then using A, B, X and Y to cycle.
This could work for other things too.
Holding the hotkey button then having something on up, down, left and right could work for the horse summon
LB + Start and Back too. 🤷♀️
Also a survival mode as a distinct option to difficulty so you can play with needs on any difficulty level. Makes it accessible and fun for all.
Saturation control to go back to classic oblivion level if we wish to.
Also here’s a small and minor issue please add sounds to gold when picked up like in Skyrim and like the bottle cap sound in fallout for an example. also something that’s been throwing me off lately. There is no sound when you’re discovering a place or a location or when it pops up, add a sound to that like in Skyrim and fallout for more immersion. Like audio que are whatever it’s called…
Add a way too reduce the fog to like 25%
This would be a discord suggestion not a game suggestion. I would place it here: #discord-suggestions
Two things.
PLEASE GOD FIX THE DIFFICULTY ISSUE. The jump between Adept and Expert is actually broken.
Secondly, please resotre the rolling/back flipping dodges and get rid of these new "regular" dodges. Not being able to back flip off things for fun is a massive disappointment, I miss it.
Oh also the walk speed is way to fast. So proper use of the analog sticks would be nice
A way to respec would be nice
Enchantable Staffs please
I get sound for those things.
Fix the Pilgrimage quest, 2 shrines are currently named Talos and you are unable to complete the quest after interacting with all the shrines due to one of them not giving you credit cause its a duplicate shrine.
There was an update released without patchnotes. So far this update:
- Breaks the "Upscaling" setting so you cannot select any upscaler anymore, it is just set to Off
- Breaks the Anti Aliasing setting, to where you can only change it if you hit "Reset"
- Lowers FPS
Please revert this update or fix it asap. This is just unacceptable.
More rings on our fingers! so we can have five on each hand :O
Yup I cant upscale anymore leaving me with a beautiful 25 fps on my 6900xt love it
More new DLC
Bring back the dai katana being faster than claymores. Balance it out with slightly lower damage if you have to, but the speed of the dai katana was so satisfying and it doesn't make sense for it to have that much heft to it.
Survival mechanics would be so amazing for immersion! Food, water, sleep… and of course a way to craft food would help with that. And if it wasn’t tied to your difficulty setting I think that would be good.
Optimize this game 😭
Separate the male and female clothing into different items. I hate the way everything turns into a dress; hated it in the original too.
Please fix goblin wars! The fans have waited 19 years! Thank you Todd!
Any chance the bandits at higher player levels can be changed so they don’t almost exclusively have daedric and glass armour? That was always immersion breaking in OG oblivion
Allow mixed race characters. Would make for interesting builds.
Also a codex with entries for all enemies, items etc so you can collect them in there.
Make all items that are dropped by NPC show up when you press the corpse. Right now shields, bows and other weapons drop on the ground seperately and are easy to miss. They should be included and show up in the loot corpse window.
2 things:
-
make the game more green and less brown. Green like the original game.
-
there's a lack of facial expressions! Look at this vid for example. Yes funny vid, but look how she's nervously looking around in the original game. In the remaster she's just looking straight ahead:
Wait a minute, let me do that one again. Now with lip sync.

The ability to hide your helmet
Transmog might be an interesting option
More Customization Options Like new hairs and adding face paint!
1 - More stuff to pick-pocket!
2- Loot on display in shops - so you can steal it at night.
3 - More food options at inns.
4 - Bigger stock in shops and bigger coffers of shop keeps.
5 - Pickpockets! To steal my Septims! :D
6 - Did anyone saw wild horses yet? Or is it just me? Where are all the wild Horses?
Can we have more origins?
A good example would be like if you play a dark elf you can select ash lander, or even one of the great houses.
Bretons could have a reachmen origin too
Warpaint, tattoos, scars, face markings like moles, more make up options
More khajiit fur patterns
The ability to color khajiit hair and argonian fins separately
Id really like to see them expand oblivion with faithful expansions 🤷♂️
Some armors, specifically helmets, that work well with beast race faces would be nice. Almost every helmet/hood in game looks goofy on argonians and khajiit
Add the horse carriage network! Would be great for those who like to disable general fast travel.
Improve enchantment strength and whatever setting affects chase distance. Feels like you have to run excessively far to get away from enemies. Also fix sprint animation, more upright. Improved sneaking would be nice too, like if I’m spotted but turn a corner and hide behind something I should not be seen again. Adjustable camera zoom would be nice and switching shoulders. Locking on to enemies would be nice and help prevent attacking the wrong npc’s which could have bad effects. Also, SHIELD BASH. Re-enchant items. Guards not immediately trying to send you to jail on load when you fast travel into a city. Smart vampire fast traveling so you don’t travel and show up to your destination in daylight.
Idk if it's been said but it would be amazing if y'all could add dual wielding swords/daggers into the game it would be amazing
Just came to say that I’d love to see a PSVR2 version… just saying.
If possible can we get companions
A suggestion would be to increase two handed weapon reach, also let dead bodies be able to be hit with a weapon when they are dead. I always enjoyed smacking a goblins head, boing!
Yeah if I ever feel like fast travelling, I go to the stables and fast travel to the stables of where I'm going to. Would be nice to have a Skyrim style version of that
I would love for them to revamp the UI for the magic category in to be a bit more like Skyrim. ✨ Like give me a section for spells separated by schools of magic and another section for scrolls ! Therefore, it is more easy to find the spells you need.
Oh and also, if possible, please show me the level of the soul trapped in a soul gem!
PLEASE remove levelled gold and quest reward items, always give highest amount for both.
It prevents people wanting to optimise unable to do any of those quests until level 30!
Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again, Make Cyrodiil green again 💚💚💚
Revert your recent patch it has disabled upscaling and AA on pc
I don’t think this game has had a patch yet
Can we have it so all weapons and armour with levelled versions can be upgraded like with the knights of the nine armour? Apparently the dlc weapons like Dragonsword of Lainlyn can only ever be level 1 in the remaster due to not being able to disable them
Make our body visible in first person
enable upscaling and framegen again 👍
Can we please get DLC that adds the armor styles from oblivion and elder scrolls blades?
I love the ebony armor from blades and skyrims ebony war axe.
-
The ability to change the appearance of your character later in game without the tilde cheat window that bricks your characters. Could be done with a main menu option, NO need to add a complete barber shop feature, just something simple so we can address things as we continue to play.
-
Cinematic stealth kills or stealth kill animations in in-game camera mode.
-
Hide Helmet option
-
Bring back the colors of the original game, or something similar that fits with Unreal's rendering. The game has way to much of a desaturated color palette now.
-
Release patch notes BEFORE the patch release.
On topic of the First one, do you mean something similar to what fallout 76 has? If so, that would be nice but I also wouldn't mind a barber or something. More immersive that way. I'm for this either way
Ok here’s my suggestions in no particular order, just what comes to mind on the spot.
Sprinting: Fix the sprinting animation. Character looks like he’s going to fall over espically on any incline.
Melee: weapon types like short sword, daggers, and hand to hand all have awkward finishing attacks in their respected sequences. The stab, and uppercuts just feel very bad especially in 3rd person. Maybe we could tweak these animations? Or nix them completely? I think maybe some fluid swings would be fine, as the finishing attacks all create a long pause in combat. Moving in too two handed claymores and warhammers are very slow, which they should be but it feels too slow. Long swords, axes and blunt don’t feel bad to me, but still would like the ability to swing a bit faster.
Physics: bodies are not interactive to being hit outside of bow and arrow, it feels immersive to attack the body of a fallen enemy and honestly just fun sometimes. I’ve also noticed that some enemies killed with enchanted items die in almost a low gravity state. I killed a skeleton and watched its head fly though the air for almost 5 minutes, bodies sometimes also get stuck in the air in place.
Leveled items: for legendary items/uniques. Make them leveled to the highest level when obtained, that way we don’t have to wait till the end of the game to get a cool piece of gear. If we get it early it becomes useless later on.
Height for tall races: Upon starting the game, I played as a Nord only to find he was eye level with imperials. I’ve played a Nord since Morrowind so this felt un-immersive. This can be easily fixed by developers but I figured out an in game fix already. Take off all armor, and ride a horse, may take a couple try’s but your height will become lore accurate to your race for rest of the game.
Character customization: Would like to see maybe some more beards, hair styles, scars, and maybe a weight slider to make characters a little bigger/muscular.
Part 2 coming v
A hot key for switching between local and world map.
An option in Settings to default to Local Map while in delves/buildings.
Soul gems with soul are clear in inventory without extra button presses.
Enchantment charge levels in inventory without extra button presses.
Patch Notes for updates would be awesome c:
After update upscaling doesn't work
- Fix/alter 3rd person sprinting animation, I agree with others that it's very weird
- Related to sprinting, if your weapon is drawn in 1st person, adjust the sway of the weapon when sprinting. It's a bit fast. maybe sync it with foot speed
- Better optimization across the board would be great, particularly when you're outside on the open world. My framerates are significantly higher indoors than when outside.
- use of E to confirm menu options instead of having to press Enter
- Ability to adjust quantity menu with A/D or arrow keys
- Key press to switch map from world to local without having to zoom in via mouse
- Add descriptions for attributes when mousing over them, particulary in the beginning of the game during character creation.
- show current carry weight when actively looting
Add levitation back
they don't exist in TES. the child will always get the characteristics of the mother
The sprint is weird but oddly lovable
1 - Cut content from Original Oblivion as DLC (I'll happily buy it.)
2 - New story DLC content. ( Maybe there are storeys that were never told or didn't get a chance to be told? )
3 - New Followers, that would react to player actions?
4 - Mod support / tools.
Add ability to unlearn spells (or send them to a hidden category), as a QOL to remove old clutter from the spell menu at higher levels!
An option to toggle hud on and off with a key press, I like having no hud when I'm walking sround outside of combat
Please! Include a basic photomode. 📸 And can we please unenchant (or disenchant) items! ✨
Patch DLSS back in, and add in difficulty scaling options like in Starfield
Please add modding support for consoles. In my case, for PS5. And as much as I would like to submit this as a requested change, given all the hard work and dedication to it's development, it was a missed opportunity to have given the game its just and more accurate title of "Oblivion Reborn". 😁
Suggestion:
Different body types for each race (both player & NPC’s) - more muscular Nords/ Orcs, & thinner elves.
More gems and valuables in the loot table would be nice. The OOO mod did a good job expanding the loot lists. It helps a lot with a thief playthrough. Edit: I do mean variety. More variety is great. It was one of OG Oblivion's weaknesses.
Two "quick" fixes:
When exiting the map screen from the "local" map level, have it re-open to the local map by default
DIFFICULTY: Adept tuned up and/or Expert down, as a lot of other folks have said
Continuing for part 2
Economy: Merchants need more gold the max is about 2000 gold but we have items being sold for 10000+ gold. Give them more gold so we can get the most out of our loot.
UI: the UI system feels very hard to navigate compared to the OG system, it could be much simpler. I don’t feel like I need to press 3-4 buttons just to navigate storing items, or making a spell which seems like it takes a crazy amount of time clicking through different options.
Photo mode: This would be a great feature
NPC interactions and surrounding voice volume: Sometimes NPCs will all be speaking at once and even in the OG oblivion it could be bad but it seems the depth at which you hear surrounding voices is amplified a from a distance it just shouldn’t be.
Blocking: I’ve noticed sometimes you get locked in blocking and there’s about 2-3 seconds of not being able to attack when in combat.
The difficulty slider: Adept is extremely easy, expert is brutal. Such a large step and the ratios of damage received vs taken feels very off in both directions for both settings.
The lock pick system: it’s slightly more sensitive than the original which I feel I preferred. Best way to describe the new system is it feels more floaty. Very hard to actually pick locks.
Updates/DLCs: I would like to see regular updates, and would be open to a new DLC for the game.
Mod support: Please let’s get mod Support on console, but give us more than 5g of storage space to play with.
Gotta expand your luck to influence that. Or do you mean variety?
Can the weight on arrows be 0 like in Skyrim?
Has anyone else noticed when you go through most single doors that when you’re on the other side the hinge is on the wrong side?
Add to the character creater:
muscle slider
thin/thick slider
male/female slider
Add the ability to change your look later on in the game
Thick slider? …./🤔
Do not apply your latest patch on Steam — Game Pass players are reporting that it’s bugged!
- Could German voice audio be added?
- The Ragdoll body is restricted.
Can it be fully reactivated?
Please
I completely agree with this. Body types would be nice.
Also scars would be nice for character creation.
No leveled quest rewards
Add framegen support I feel like that would really help the game 🙏
bring back player bosmer being small
Firstly an outstanding remake. Cant say enough good things. Couple of ideas:
1 - Modding toolset and implementation pipeline from UE5 to CE as well as a basic tutorial.
2 - Tooltips and hover details in UI.
3 - Ability to use WSAD and QE when altering amounts in the menus and confirming/denying prompt boxes.
4 - Run animation is not great.
5 - Horse whistle would be nice.
6 - I personally like the visual style of this version. Call me crazy.
7 - With the introduction of cloth physics some capes and cloak options would be stellar. There was a popular mod for it once upon a time.
8 - The ability to use metahuman framework as well as the metahuman face scan animation feature to create new NPCs and perform speaking lines for new quests.
9 - The Systems tab for the menus should be totally separate. Its confusing to go into the UI and get the system menu for some reason.
10 - The maps should be local natively when indoors.
11 - Smithing
12 - A more fleshed out Battlehorn quest. Seems abrupt.
13 - Barbershop / Appearance editor
14- Mounted combat
15 - Mark / Recall if not in the game already. Havent seen it.
16 - Lycanthropy
17 - First person horse riding
18 - Survival Mode
19 - Walking / riding footsteps sound pretty bad. Could use a refresh.
20 - Ability to maintain multiple summons at high levels on higher difficulties.
21 - Denser crowds (not necessarily interactable NPCs just filler NPCs to make the Imperial city feel bigger. Perhaps a bunch of emote/activity markers throughout the city. Including a larger crowd at the arena.)
22 - Increase the reach of two handed weapons. Thats their whole purpose for existing. To keep the enemy out of striking distance.
23 - On the topic of keeping distance: Spears. Mans first and greatest weapon. One handed and two handed would be great.
24 - An option to unlearn spells.
25 - A more solid feeling hit system where your weapon halts on the enemy when striking. Gives it more weight.
26 - Quick inventory loot system like fallout.
1 - Original Oblivion Loading Screens as art/pictures items we can find and collect in game and take/drop from our inventory, to decorate our player home with.
2 - The Head in Kvatch to be changed back to a Dunmer with a Scar (i.e. Jiub), coz LORE! (Or so some do believe it to be.)
3 - Pet Dog, and a pet dog ^^
4 - idk. I think that's it. Oblivion is perfect, thanks for bringing it back to us 🖤 :D
Re-release/re-publish the old GOTY official guide.
Bring back awesome game guides 😂
Please add in the playable werewolves that were scrapped from the Oblivion PSP port.
TES 2, 3, and 5 have playable werewolves — TES 4 does not.
I’d honestly just enjoy more big expansions like shivering isles
Having an original Oblivion green filter would be lush. Thank you.
Oblivion Remaster is unbelievable BUT I have one major issue - The NPC Dialogue Spotlights.
Please, please add a toggle for this feature and allow us to turn it off. As someone working in filmmaking and setting up lights as my job, nothing breaks immersion more than walking into a dark tavern, striking up a conversation with someone and an invisible spotlight, colored like an LED office light that doesn’t match the ambience at all, comes down from the ceiling. It’s a dark room! It’s okay if I don’t see the NPC very well. Also make adept and expert difficulties better adept is too easy expert is too difficult thank you!
i know this was mentioned already but please fix the difficulty slider, adept is too easy and expert way too hard.
Add gyro support for people who use Switch and PS5 controllers pretty please
What did they say about the issues with the latest update?
Are they going to apply the patch for Steam?
Suggestion: Restore Classic Grab Function Precision (PC)
Change the grab function back to 'Z' on PC, like in the original. Right now it feels more like Skyrim’s system less precise and more floaty.
Issue:
In Oblivion (2006), grabbing objects with 'Z' felt manual and accurate. You could control exactly where you grabbed an item, making it easier to move and place things how you wanted. In the remaster, it feels like you’re grabbing the object by its center or with some kind of physics offset, which messes with how it moves and reacts.
Possible Fixes:
Bring back precise grab point detection
Add optional rotation and placement tools for better object control
Maybe release patch notes when you release patches?
The horse name box keeps popping up while riding.
Add more vibrancy and saturation or an optional filter/slider in display settings to match the original game's colour palette a bit more please 💜
An option to remove the beard from female Khajiits would be nice
Send us back to the soul cairn. I’d love to go there in oblivion.
Also maybe to up north to Skyrim.
bring cut content from the og oblivion to the game.. like goblin wars, sutch. rebuilding kavatch. ect
Same with Horns on Argonians. It would’ve been great if all races have the option for the players to choose. Even if NPCs have toggable “beards” as well.
Kind of like cyberpunk did.
fix the difficulty settings.
At least give us back the slider we had back the og oblivion.
The current adept setting makes enemy damage negligible, while the damage i deal to enemies seems appropriate.
when i switch to expert, which is one step up, the roles are completely reversed with me doing very, and i mean very, little damage, but any enemy (god forbid two of them) deal way too much damage for me to reasonably deal with.
Maybe have a separate inventory tab for potions, a bit of a pain to sift through my alchemy ingredients hoard 😂
A keychain would be nice
DLSS and framegen gone is VERY annoying. Went from max settings at 4k 200+ fps to 40
Please take a second look at the difficulty settings and consider re implementing the difficulty slider. The jump from adept to expert feels like going from adept to legendary in Skyrim.
yea it cant be that i have the strongest weapon in the game with attributes leveled to max and i still get smoked, cuz i do almosts no damage
Add a way to change your characters appearance on console after exiting the sewers pls ❤️
Also I would like to pet the sewer rat
What’s the new update?
What did they say about the issues with the latest update?
Are they going to apply the patch for Steam?
Suggestion: Release the patch notes for the update or roll it back. It made the game run better for me but it apparently broke a ton of stuff for other people.
My only suggestion is probably mirrored many times already, but please, give us modding tools, we'll fix everything else ourselves XD
Remove leveled unique item rewards!!
Remove leveled unique item reward pools from the game entirely, they are a bad feature and not a nostalgic one, we don't like it
Swap to Skyrim's favorites system. Being limited to 8 favorites kinda sucks when I'm trying to use spells + bow + poison + sword.
blank staffs to enchant
Please make the game mode possible without markers and hints, according to the description and dialogues. To avoid this ugly compass from the top
Add upscaling
Idk if I'm in the minority here but I miss the old bug/exploits/glitches. Like the Dorian thing or the scrolls bug, we used to have bugs that helped us and now we only have the bad ones. Bring back the helpful ones lol
An option to disable objects highlighting.
Please add to the master armorer skill a huge efficiency boost so we dont have to spam 40 repairs every 5 minutes in a dungeon
A barber option would be ideal, but it also cost WAY more development time compared to a simple menu option.
Add as follows
-incremental walk speed
-the ability to stop as soon as i let go of my analogue stick
-the option to button bind a button twice so i can bind a hold and a press function to each button SO I CAN ACTUALLY BIND QUICKSAVE
-the option to button bind a combination for example LB+RB=quicksave
-the opion to yeet a held object
And for the love of god bring back the scroll dupe glitch so we can have a laugh
Please add the ability to toggle HUD features or at least have the classic "HUD opacity" slider to increase immersion. The original Oblivion had the ability to turn off the crosshair, which is pretty distracting in the Oblivion Remastered. It may seem like a small issue but I promise it makes a difference.
Yeah bringing back cutted content would be really cool
Console mod support and yes I want creation club
Kind of wish a smithing DLC could be added to oblivion. Loved forging all my own weapons and armor.
If I had a personal wishlist...
(Some of these may be repeated).
-
NG+ (this would be especially fun for questing at different difficulties).
-
Unique items and their enchantments should level with the player or let us upgrade the enchantments to their max value with soul gems and gold at the enchant station.
-
I would really like to see additional content for the game, perhaps even a new DLC. I wouldn't be objected to a creation club so the game can be supported over a longer time.
-
Photo mode and filters, if possible.
-
Difficulty scaling options and custom difficulty sliders for incoming and outgoing damage. Some people want weaker enemies at the endgame, some people don't want to steamroll everything and want the world to scale with them.
-
Mod support, is a big one for replayability.
-
Character creator improvements, instead of body type 1 and 2. Add male, female back and add other/custom option. Decouple body type from voice acting and allow additional options like muscle, height, body shape, etc... Also allow fur to be separate colour to hair on Khajiit.
-
Allow character customization after Imperial Sewers so we can edit our character appearance later in the game if we want to.
-
Give us a super secret way to access the dev/test room from the original without needing to glitch or use commands.
-
Please don't patch the exploits/glitches, they are part of the game's identity and old school gaming vibe.
11: An option for a pause between music so it's not constantly playing, or an option to toggle this.
12: Make it easier to store in chests instead of having to press additional inputs to get to that menu.
13: Allow us to invest more good in merchants.
14: A legendary skill respec mode similar to Skyrim to allow infinite leveling.
Oh and bring back the back flip from acrobatics skill line.
The ability to still move with the quick select menu wheel open would be handy. When switching spells or weapons in a fight I stand still while the enemies keep moving and get free hits.
I hope they bring back hitting dead things with weapons — it was a genius feature
Add back giant guard from intro
I would love a way to get the green light from og oblivion for spells like starlight, it was super nostalgic, even if I do appreciate the light spell changes (when it works)
Please keep in mind this channel for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Suggestion:
Option to have a separate Difficulty Setting for both incoming & outgoing damage.
So, for example, damage dealt could be Adept whilst at the same time damage received could be set to Expert. 🙏
-
Hide Helmet option
-
Hide Shield when holstered option
-
Add a Survival mode like in Fallout / Skyrim / Starfield
-
Add keyboard and mouse support on xbox / console
-
Fix stage 3 vampiric players ( and npc vampires ) going bald as well as some races not getting vampiric eyes
- Console mods/creations
- Hide hud/ photo mode
- Dual wielding
- Quests to rebuild kvatch
- Being able to change appearance after leaving the sewers
- Followers
- Survival mode
- Difficulty sliders
- Separate menus for potions and ingredients
- New dlcs or expansions
- More npcs in cities/ inns to make them feel more populated
- Fix the difficulty scaling between adept and expert
- Add cut content like sutch for ex.
i know it wasn't in the original but a search function for your inventory/store menus would be amazing QOL
A lot of these things people are suggesting can be fixed with mods😬 as I suggested earlier please add creation club and mod resources 🙏 for pc and console
Body types
More variations in oblivion gates
And some DLC that takes place in Skyrim would rock.
The difficulty settings are completely broken. Adept is way too easy(you can kill everything with two hits and take no damage) and the next setting up is insanely difficult( you have to drink three health potions to kill a wolf, and then get finished off by a mud crab). Please I'm begging you, please fix this. It's a huge game breaker for me and so many others. I'm on Xbox for reference, so mods are not an option. Besides that the graphics are gorgeous. It's just unplayable in it's current state. If I could get a refund I would but I have over 3 hours of gameplay.
Once again begging for the ability to edit character appearance on consoles 🙏🙏🙏
This game needs a battlepass.
I honestly don't even feel like levelling Acrobatics further (currently at 75) ever since I found out that back flips and rolls were removed.
(I need them so bad 😭😭)
I like the new dodge and all but this might be my biggest pet peeve with the game so far, and I genuinely love the care they put into it.
Remove the label that pops up when you look at your horse while riding the horse
Use the favorite system from Skyrim, instead of the current system. I want to be able to quick access spells, equipment, and items without going to menus.
FIX upscalers in Gamepass
You removed it with the latest patch. GJ
The economy in the game has always needed an update. Merchants carry max 2000 gold, but we have items being sold for 10000+ merchants need a higher gold cap, so we can get the most for our loot.
Suggestion: Is it possible to get a German Audio Translation like the old times would be a dream for some Players here 😁 🇩🇪
Suggestion: Roll back this patch before the work day ends
-
I'd be nice to be able to drop stuff in quantities of 5 instead of having the extra menu pop up to drop stuff in 2 or 3s
-
If I loot an enemy and he has nothing X button should "take all of the nothing" like every other game instead of having to exit the empty menu
Reduce the experience gain rate to better balance the leveling changes in the remake.
Right now, progression feels too fast, I’ve reached level 15 in just 13 hours with adept difficulty, and I’m already close to maxing out the loot table and already seeing NPCs with glass tier weapons. This happened with minimal questing and only a few random dungeon clears, didn't even start the main quest line, which makes the overall pacing feel too rushed.
A periodic response as to which suggests you are taking into consideration.
I’m sure this has been suggested numerous times before, but let us eat/drink items outside of our inventory. It’s been done with previous games, I don’t see why Oblivion can’t have this feature either
Allow us to invest an unlimited amount of gold to a merchant with the mercantile skill and not just 500.
Can we get DLC that has a major underwater area?
That would rock. Especially with water breathing feeling so early used.
Let’s focus on game optimization and balancing difficulty
Hello! I would love it if you could increase body size during character creation, as i feel Orcs are really skinny and would love to be able to increase it. Also better gore and decapitation would be great tooo. Thanks
Suggestion: Patch notes please! Bethesda is notoriously bad about sharing these. Would love to know whats changed and what to look out for!
I just want the stutter to be gone from running outdoors.
The remaster added an abundance of flowers/plants to the world map that aren't used in alchemy. It makes it way harder to find the actual plants you can use when there are dozens more around them that can't even be selected.
Having them all look like the flowers in Skyrim which are used in alchemy makes this even more of an annoyance.
Having played 32 hours already, I think the biggest issue is Adept being way too easy with enemies unable to hurt you at all at 85 armor, and then Expert and Master being insanely enormous steps up with enemies being way too sponge-y taking 30+ melee hits even with a smart build/good weapons.
A button to press to highlight items that you can pickup / ineract with. Would make it easier to find items on the ground
xp gain really could use a big cut. the new changes to stat allocation are great but the rate which you gain xp is a bit overkill
Balance the difficulty please. I’m in Xbox so I can’t just download a mod. It is impossible to die to anything on adept and impossible to kill anything on expert.
@low cradle Yeah this game is not ready for any crazy dlcs in it's current state. It's still a mess.
Make the particle effects for Clairvoyance and Detect Life stronger. As is, you can hardly see them underwater or in brightly lit areas. Also, make it so Jump (spacebar for me on pc) sends you up while swimming. Keep expecting to go up when doing this and not moving.
very much this
Please return the original height to the player's characters, which depends on the race. I don't want to be the lowest Altmer. It looks very strange.
Hello, I know there are a lot of people here giving a lot of their feedback and I know there are a lot of great suggestions! After 10 hours of playing I think it would be very efficient if there was a weapon swap toggle. If this hasn’t been suggested already I’d be surprised, but I think it would be a good quality of life feature, maybe place it on the D-pad like 76 does.
Add Sandbox quests
Replace levelled unique items with unique items that follow the level of the player even after obtaining them
Having more populated cities and environments would be great, but I realize that can be a big ask. Cities are just pretty empty
Good evening. Congratulations on the work done with Oblivion Remastered. This will be the first time for me to venture into the lands of Cyrodiil 😍. I would like to know if your team is going to implement larger text fonts in the future. Unfortunately, by selecting the large option from the menu, on my 55-inch TV they are really small🥲. I would find it very difficult to read the subtitles. I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance and congratulations on your work.
A Face sculptor or Barber option to edit your appearance without console commands/mods
Maybe letting equipped weapons stay in NPC's inventories after they die.
More than once I've had to reload a save in a cave because the drop weapon started clipping through the floor and be hard to find. I know it was like this in the original but now the floors are more cluttered with new textures that makes finding the weapons harder to find
EDIT: DarkmoonMiracle! Press R2 in the map till you zoom in enough to get to the local map. It's where they put it now. I have 14 minutes till I can reply lol
A few things: On Xbox Series S, I have no way of accessing any sort of local map. It will only allow me to view the world map.
As a quality of life improvement, I would like to see you drastically reduce the weight of some weapons and armor. It’s honestly beyond outlandish to assume that a warhammer or a battle axe weighs 50-60 lbs. Only Guts from Berserk could swing something like that. ‘Light’ shields also don’t weigh 20+ lbs. You would be so encumbered and you’d become exhausted and die very quickly. Swords also cannot be properly used at all being 30+ lbs. It just seems like such an oversight. I’d forgotten that I used to constantly have to go back to sell and stash, even at high strength with good feather spells, I’m still getting bogged down by the simplest and smallest of accoutrements because they weigh 20, 30, 40 lbs.
Maybe a DLC to have more people traveling the roads.
That and more arena matches would rock. Maybe double the people watching the fights.
Also maybe a quest to rig the fights to earn extra cash.
Hello please add mod support for PC and console 🙏
I’d love to have an option to disable the hud for taking screenshots. The game is gorgeous but sometimes having the weapon and spell icons and the compass in the frame obscures the shot.
Hello, I have a list of suggestions.
-
Better optimisation. I downloaded engine tweaks off Nexus Mods and gained around 20-30 FPS.
-
Rework of expert difficulty or a new difficulty between Adept and Expert. Adept is too easy meanwhile Expert is too radical of an increase.
-
A faster way to quick save on controller. Navigating the menu is too tedious.
-
Classic colour option. I love the remaster’s look but I also loved the vibrancy of the original game. I miss the beauty of the lush green grass and the clear bright blue and Cotton candy skies. It felt dreamy while the remaster feels more realistic. A big factor of this is the colour palette. The game is a lot warmer now. We need an option to have that vibrancy back.
-
Better Combat AI. Sometimes it just isn’t good.
-
More open world encounters. The open world is beautiful but it feels somewhat lifeless. We need more wildlife in the forests.
-
More NPCs. Look, I understand that this is a faithful remaster but many places, especially the Imperial City, feel dead. Just a few more NPCs would be great.
-
Horse combat similar to Skyrim. It’s just a pain to have to jump off my horse to fight a lone wolf.
-
Appearance changer. I’d love the ability to change my character’s look mid-game
-
Declutter the menu, especially magic. I need a way to delete spells I no longer use.
Zoom all the way in, and then hit the zoom button one more time. It took me forever the realize this.
My biggest request is to have the menu split like the original. What i mean is the character and inventory type stuff should be separate from the game settings and save type stuff. Having it exactly like it was is a good enough improvement, but I'd love to see some further improvements in this regard. Scrolling through all those tabs is an absolute pain.
The ability to get rid of spells by selling them or simply deleting them. The spell list can get insanely cluttered, especially with custom spells.
Bards in taverns, please
Please add repeatable quests because it is empty after I finish all quests
Hello, I have a problem Today I launched Oblivion, and it won’t let me enable FSR, which helps a lot with performance. Does anyone know why?
Yeah, radiant bounty quests like the ones you can get from housecarls or taverns would be great for an immersive way to grind for gold or experience
I’m sure it’s already been suggested…. But PLEASE give us a creation kit/mod resources. It’s kept Skyrim alive and kicking for so many fans, and it will do the same for oblivion!
This should be #1 suggestion for everyone here
My suggestion iiisssss
I would like for Todd Howard and Bethesda studios to give us a little 🤏 snippit of what is going on with The Elder Scrolls 6 this year at summer game fest! 🙏🙏
Yet another request for some kind of barbershop/hair salon. I like so many of the hair selections in the remaster - don't make me settle for just one for the hundreds of hours I want to spend in this great old game.
Before doing anything y'all should fix the performance in the open world. It's disgraceful how unoptimized it is.
Fix scaling: Friendly npcs going from iron or steel to daedric over the game breaks immersion
Improvements to menu management
I think it would be fine to modernize some of the menu controls and here are some little things I’d like to see and if anyone wants to add onto my list feel free to reply:
-
Unbinding spells from my hotkey wheel was more obtuse than it needed to be. Would love to see a button that lets me turn a slot blank whenever I want.
-
The interact button should back out of an inventory that is empty. In my case, double checking a dead body for loot then having to reach for the ESC key feels jarring.
-
Inside of the Altar of Spellmaking, there should absolutely be a line added that shows the magicka cost of a spell before you create it. The best resource we have at the moment are old community excel sheets to calculate spell costs and I cannot imagine it being difficult to display the calculation on the crafting menus.
-
Speaking of spells, the ability to remove spells from your spell list is quintessential quality of life when you have the ability to craft unlimited spells. It shouldn’t be the case in 2025 that you need a naming convention to not get lost in the sea of spells players end up creating.
Heyy so sorry if this has been said already but mu suggestion would be maybe to adjust the gap between adept and expert difficulty I was playing on adept this morning and started feeling like I was too strong for the enemies so decided to change the difficulty to expert and to my surprise the roles were revered here I was dishing out minimum damage and enemies were hurting alot more went to go do research about it and saw that alot of people were complaining about it other than that I'm so happy we get to re experience the oblivion crisis in the stunning look that the remaster gives us I just hope this can get changes in a upcoming patch 😀 😊 thanks again to bethesda and virtuous for giving us a chance to relive our childhood
One thing I would really like is armor customization shop! Not a big thing but that would be really nice
We need the french verison back!🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
This actually introduced another small annoyance when it comes to viewing the map.
If you hold down R2 before you open the map, it will move automatically zoom in on the area between Bruma & Chorrol. Even if you are inside a dungeon south of the imperial city.
Nothing major but it's made me sigh a few times with having to find my character on the map lol
Everyone wanting dlc that’s awesome and everything but the new update just broke parts of the game. They really need to fix performance and balancing before dlcs or adding things can be an idea.

It would be fantastic if we could have a favourites menu like Skyrim, it's hard to switch between so much equipment/spells when we just have 8 favourite slots. To keep it original it should probably be an option you toggle in the menu.
I dunno If this has been asked yet but I'd love two toggles, not sure how doable the second one is:
-
A toggle to enable a remastered version of the original title screen on the main menu. The new one is really cool but that original title screen is Iconic! It would also be cool if the new logo faded in from "IV" to "OBLIVION" like before, as that was a really neat touch.
-
A classic lighting filter or something similar. While I love pretty much all the new visuals the outdoor daytime leans WAY more Megenta than the Original did, which I felt Leaned more Cyan/Teal. I find the warmer blues really fit Cyrodiil well from what I saw of the original (This is my first time playing the game!) So it would be cool to have the option to choose a screen filter or something to bring that look back. Bonus points if the overblown Bloom of the original could return too haha!
Super neat you guys are taking in a suggestion channel. I hope to see some of these improvments in the next pajor patch. Especially that reworked Expert mode. I'm in a really tough cookie where Adept is too Easy and Expert is way too tough, so a rework like others are asking would be nice. Beyond that though I've been really enjoying my time with the game and I hope to play some more.
Horses need updating:
-
Enemies loves to attack then - half of time they ignoring my character running pas it even if my character is significant distance behind me and going to attack it.
-
As they can be killed by enemies - can we get visible HP bar so we know if we need to heal them?
-
Make horses more useful - Give them inventory so we can store loot on them.
-
Map Marker for horses we own will be nice / Ability to name them ?
-
Horse combat - one handed weapons / spells - that will be nice.
-
Improving - mounting animation + add horse as special companion , make them avoid combat run off when attacked ... ( basic commands wait , follow and whistle to summon it ) ...
Please optimise the game some more
ALCHEMY QOL
I would really like the ability to toggle a small menu that will appear while hovering my mouse over a pickable alchemy ingredient. It would display the properties of the ingredient (Restore Fatigue, Restore Health). Bonus points for not being intrusive, being toggleable as a option, and looking snazzy.
A keybind to open the alchemy menu without having to sort through my potions to find my tools.
A keybind to remove all ingredients from the mortar, similar to pressing F to remove all filters. Trying to quickly go through all the filters to find ingredients with same properties can be very clunky when you forget to remove everything from the mortar before going to the next filter.
☝️This 🙏😢☝️
Add just repeatable quests because the game is empty after clearing all quests..
Im a huge fan of the elder scrolls games. I played over 1000hours to your games. I was so hype by this new oblivion ramastered but take a real cold shower when i saw that it only in english version. I speak on behalf of everyone whose native language is not English: WE DESERVE, as fans, to be able to play the games we love in multiple different languages. It’s 2025. common! You should really make a progress on this.
Survival Mode and cooking please 😩🙏 we can gather water from the lakes and rivers, so don't need to add too many assets
Add hooded helmets and robed cuirasses, for battlemages. Literally the same stats. Just an aesthetic change. Most important for heavy armor. But hooded light armor helmets would be great for rogue/thief characters as well.
Edit: Just modify the existing armor models. Not too much work.
God I wish it was a simple as adding asssets, that requires a whole load of scripting and custom activators placed around the world
What my wife and I would love to see in the game:
-
Target-lock system:
/Just like in souls games or in the Skyrim mod "True Directional Movement", a simple system of this would already be amazing. -
Dodge step on a single key:
/Dodge step needs two keys to activate on both controllers and keyboards. Changing it to a single key or giving us the possibility to alter it would improve the combat UX greatly.
These two simple suggestions alone would make an immense difference for the game and most definitely gain many players over, who are still skeptical in regards the combat system and qol.
I swear i'm no psycho.
But let us punch and hit dead people
Change leveled artifact quest rewards (Chillrend, Necromancer's Amulet, Bloodworm Helm, etc.) to react the same way to any container as the Crusader's Relics do with their respective armor stand.
This would mean containers (or something similar) convert the items into their level-appropriate variants, i.e. if you got the items at level 5, but are now level 25, placing them in a container then removing them will mean you now have the level 25+ equivalents (the strongest variants) of the same items. Without this, I feel like I'm being gatekeeped and forced to avoid many quests until very late into the game.
It's already been implemented; this shouldn't be too hard of a fix!
The jump between adept and expert difficulty is too wide for many of us.
Please add a new difficulty setting that is between these two options.
A lot of people have already said this here but my two main gripes with the game so far is just the overall performance of the game (frame drops, stuttering) and the difficulty between adept and expert being way too wide, definitely needs a middle ground like in the original.
Walk toggle, sprint toggle (pc)
I find the default run speed too fast
It seems we need the smaller QOL changes before these grand changes im seeing suggested.
-
Local map (not world map) appears when pressing map in a cave/ruin/fort
-
Re-balanced difficulty currently adept is far to easy, expert is far to hard. Should be easy to balance.
-
Small UI improvements for things like charges left on weapons and what type(e.g. steel) Of weapon you have that is enchanted, as some players can't tell by the picture.
-
Some streamlined inputs like being able to pick up all arrows from a body with shift + click.
I feel like a kid again playing this. May the 9 bless you all, have a good one.
Already seen a ton of people already say this but I got to make sure you listen, the scaling between adept and expert is actually abysmal. It should not work like this and needs some much needed tweaks.
Nah, no way this is real haha
Love you guys!!! ❤️
Stuff I’ve noticed that felt a bit off and might need a fix:
-
Grey snow piles (e.g. all around the stairway up to Frostcrag)
-
Item info in the inventory sometimes doesn’t show until I move my cursor to the right side of the screen and back
-
When playing with WASD and mouse, some windows pop up that I can only continue by pressing Enter or hovering the mouse. Would be nice to just hit a button like "E" - like how the controller lets you press X. Having to move all the way to Enter feels clunky
-
Would be cool if shields (or other items) went on the back when sheathed. Right now, my shield stays equipped on the left hand even when I sheathe my weapon and overlaps with the bow until I change perspectives
-
Maybe show more clearly when soul gems are charged or not
-
Pants clip through the Kvatch cuirass - not a big deal, but it's a popular armor in the main quest
You’ve already added a lot of stuff people loved in Skyrim and Oblivion mods, and I totally get that keeping the game close to its original state makes it a perfect base for mods. Still, one more idea from a popular mod I’d love to see:
- Footsteps!
Thanks for reading all this hehe
Much love again and have a wonderful time ~
Give us a color palette option for those of us not loving the new brown theme. Revive the majestic world of Nirn!
https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/comments/1k7kias/the_remake_looks_beautiful_but_man_i_wish_they/ bring back OG oblivion color feature in options
On Xbox the patch is stuck in my queue u see finishing things up
Possible bug in anvil? Quest: Where spirits have leased. Should there be a letter with the skeletal hand? No quest progress for me
could we get an improvement on the follower system please 🙂 add some mercs and what not in to the game
favourites menu like in skyrim, multiple enchantments on a weapon
-As stated: Adept/Expert needs serious balancing
-Please let us attack fallen enemies again. It's jarring to swing an axe at a body and not have it react in a Bethesda game
I love the earlier suggestion of having all of the leveled loot actually level up with you as opposed to only being so powerful by the time you obtain it. This would actually make the game 100x more enjoyable for everyone. Being able to just go do whatever, whenever, without having to wait and hold back until level 30+ to get all your favorite stuff would actually let the game more naturally flow.
- no level requirements for quests, specially daedric ones
- target lock
- dodge step: single key/button
- system to improve weapons/armor to higher level, specially unique ones
- conjuration: allow more summons, example level 75 you can summon two creatures at the same time and level 100 can summon three
I also wish for the ability to tell if a soul gem is charged or not when vendoring to a shop. I have NO idea what the gem has in it.
Hi. Please update the difficulty scaling. Adept difficulty is extremely easy and the very next difficulty Expert is extremely hard. The damage modifiers are too extreme. It seems Expert multiplies damage taken by 4x and damage dealt by 0.5x.
Either add more difficulty settings in between adept and expert, or allow more customizable settings such as difficulty sliders for both damage taken and damage dealt.
Would super appreciate a way to get the best levelled items without holding off on obtaining them before level 30, I want to get dawnfang, but I don’t want to have a weak version of it by going for it super quickly
Add repeatable quests because the game is EMPTY after clearing quests, please like the comment
fast travel points to player houses would be nice quality of life
My suggestion - optimise, fix the bugs (the new ones, not the old ones) and stop there. The only reason i can think of to change the game's features is if it's widely requested, and doable by Virtous with little to no oversight from BGS. I want them putting their resources to SF dlc and TES 6. (Sorry for my harshness, I'm loving this game rn I just wanted to put that out there)
When reading a skill book, the skill-upgrade toast should be visible, it seems to be hidden because you are in the book GUI.
Perhaps skill-upgrade toasts should always be above all other GUI-elements?
One tiny addition I don’t think would be contentious whatsoever is to add a few unarmored glove items to clothing merchants. In the original Oblivion, the only unarmored gloves were the Wrist Irons you get in the tutorial and there only exists 5 of these in the game.
It doesn’t have to be a spectacular item, just “Gloves” and make them like brown and basic whatever to clothing merchant inventories would be nice for helping unarmored players in enchanting!
Give them the opportunity to mark themselves on the map with text, for those who want to play with density without markers, even on the map, so that they can mark the places where they have visited and already studied.
As well as achievements for passing in the mode without markers and hints.
And more options for weapons and clothing
and it is possible that the enemies do not die from hand-to-hand combat without weapons, let them lose consciousness for a while.
ESO version of horse stamina bar. So that way it is easier to read how much the horse stamina is.
Minor thing in the grand scheme of things - but having the “ruffled knapsack” sound for literally every container looting scenario is a little weird lol - looting an ayleid cask shouldn’t sound like me rummaging through my bag lol. Great game otherwise 🙂
For the overworld map and the local area map, I wish the game remembered and kept open the last map you were looking at, with a keybind to swap between the 2 instantly.
Let us see our feet/torso when we look down in first person
E button = Enter in menus, please.
Allow me to hold shift or something when selling to skip the pop-up. I have a lot of items to sell. Often. Moving the mouse back and forth is a tedium.
I think the sprinting and walking animations could use some tweaking. Walking isn't that bad, but the character looks so hunched over, almost like the sad spiderman meme, I feel like it could be better if the character stood a little more upright if nothing else. Sprinting on the other hand is very very useful, but the animation looks sort of cartoony. The character is *way" too hunched over and their arms are too far out from their body, imo. It could go a long way if the character stood upright, swung their arms closer to their torso, and kept their palms open.
Additionally, I think it'd be neat to see capes or cloaks, though by no means do I think they're a must, since I'm sure they'd be a pain to script
I would like more hats, especially the colovian fur hat from morrowjnd. There are lots of hoods and helmets, but not enough hats for a distinguished gentleman.
It would be nice if you could loot the Imperial Watch Armor
Please make it so that the recharge menu doesn't automatically close after using one soul gem. It gets tedious trying to fully recharge a weapon.
I would love Newt Scale Armor as a Creation Club mod if this game has Creation Club support
Bring back the OG saturation, even toned down. The reshade preset is on Nexus already and it's gorgeous.
A first patch for quick fixes should include modified aggro for the npcs, and their reaction times. Incorporate some of those from Skyrim, would be easy. As mentioned above, this would also include some fixes for horses in general, they're clunkier than even the OG Oblivion in this version.
Would love a sheathe arrow hotkey instead of having to open the wheel.
Modding support! even if it's just CC or minimal contribution from your side, you are known for your modding community, please do not let go of that.
Map fixes in terms of usability (including the local map).
The sprinting animation breaks immersion a bit. First person doesn't allow you to see your own body, it is reflected in how shadows work (or lack thereof) when in FPV, as the game considers you invisible.
These are just some quick suggestions, aside from that, kudos on the successful launch and I hope this remastered version does get continuous support from Bethesda!
I'd just like to echo the requests for PSVR2 functionality. Currently playing on GamePass, but I'd happily buy it for PS5 if I could play it in the headset as well.
I don't know why but the animation when swinging a sword in first person looks off, almost like it is running in much less fps than the full game (as if it skips frames).
I don't know what you guys changed with the latest patch when it comes to NPC conversations, but please revert it! It's lost all it's charm and now it just feels awkward 🥺😭
Love the remaster so far, and I'm honestly shocked it turned out so well. Great job. However, there are a few things.
- I realize how redundant this is, but I'll throw it in anyway. Optimization and baked shadows would be incredible. RT looks great, and I'm comfortably at High settings, 60/1440p with a 4070ti super. This is a $2500 computer, and I don't buy the idea that we should be designing games the average consumer cannot afford to run comfortably. Future proofing is neat, but does that really affect sales? On that point, it'd be cool if the settings could be toned down/optimized to achieve a more stable 60 for the PS5. Let the rich folks cry about consoles holding back the PC's. This is a selfish argument.
Last performance note that I feel is more dire, on either platform there are a ton of drops when traversing the open world. On a horse it almost becomes unplayable.
-
For the horse, can we please have first person horse riding back? I don't know why this isn't an option here or even in Skyrim. I love first person horse riding.
-
Looks like a bug, Selling items does not decrease the gold of the shop owner. Also, we need to confirm every time we sell something, that seems needless. Possibly remove that or have an accessibility option for selling confirmation.
The physics of area-effect destruction spells seems to have been severely nerfed when it comes to enemies/NPCs/bodies. A fireball with a 50 foot radius for example no longer sends bodies flying like it would in the original. Would love to see this come back!
This is a very small suggestion compared to alot I see posted here, but I'd like the gore to be kicked up alittle, or even just a setting to adjust the intensity. When I headshot and eviscerate a bandit with a two handed axe I want it to feel brutal
I know it sounds like game breaking, but can we have the horse run faster than the max speed of the character having 100 of both speed and athletics?
Instead of all enemies being leveled can we have maybe one or two enemies per dungeon that are either weaker or stronger ? Random enemies with random gear. Maybe make it where they can’t have higher leveled gear, but atleast let weaker enemies still appear.
2 reasons
-
It’s just fun to feel powerful beating up a enemy you would see at level 5 when your level 30
-
Low level items and mid level items seem to be phased out by level scailing so if your level 30 you may never be able to find elven armor, or dwarven, full iron sets, and such.
Would love to see a Classic lighting option, like what was eventually implemented in the GTA trilogy remaster. To get the colour grading and tone back while remaining with the amazing new lighting system.
Add an "L" button shortcut while in the map to toggle between local and world map. Yes, scrolling in and out is nice. But it takes time I'd rather not waste on a animation to highlight this feature. Like, it's cool the first three times. But let me toggle it please. (And when returning to world map, please return to previous map coordinates and zoom level.)
Could we get an option for a more natural sprinting/running animation with better posture?
Aside from the difficulty adjustments urgently needed, I’d quite like a controller setting to more closely match Skyrims as it’s still difficult to remember the differences in buttons!
Let me yoink the goodies from the dead arena combatants
Clicking the "[Escape] Back" button on the bottom of the screen should act like you pressed the keybinding.
opening some indoor areas up a bit would be nice. going through two or three loading screens to get to some areas in small/medium buildings gets a bit repetitive
Give Benirus Manor in Anvil some candles, or lanterns... This house is so dark, even after completing questline
Difficulty needs to be adjusted! Adept to Expert is not balanced at all!
...continued
- A big one, accessing menus feels weirdly unintuitive on a controller. On PC it's basically the same, but we have more shortcuts to the same overarching menu.
I feel like the RB, LB structure for every item including the system menu was a poor choice. I see why it was done, but why not separate system and help from the in game options? Often I find myself pressing start to go to the menu and forgetting I had just saved, having to LB, or RB over to where the actual inventory is, then leaf through the (admittedly lovely) old oblivion menu. I like the inclusion of the classic UI, I'm just not sure why it was all lumped together in the remaster. Seems odd to me and I don't think I'm alone in this.
There are quite a few buttons that could be moved. For example the wait button could be pushed to the Dpad hotkeys, and the menu could be placed separately on Start, with System menu on Select (completely independent). This would leave Saving, graphic options and help in their own menu, to be clear
-
On the subject of UI, more customization in terms of what to HIDE/AUTO-HIDE during gameplay would be incredible. Being able to hide crosshair unless looking near an object would be more immersive. I've already used a mod to reduce mine to a dot, and to make the compass less generic and huge. The option to remove the distance would be great, as I feel it actually affects gameplay. Countdowns with no drama are bad design, in my opinion. In general, I feel the UI (outside of what was inspired by the classic system) needs a pass on the amount of button presses, and the density of information. It almost feels like a mobile game in design. Not bad, functionally, but not inspiring either.
-
There are a couple of mods in reshade that restore a similar pallette to the game. I don't love reshade, but I think there is a merit to the complaints that the remaster looks washed out in the overworld. Trees also feel weirdly flat or odd, and maybe they could have a pass?
I can't enjoy the game until the difficulty is fixed. This needs to be patched ASAP.
Get FSR 3.1 or 3.2 (Whatever is latest) for us stuck on 7000 series GPUS/lower end gpus (if it isn't already using the latest fsr 3 version), and improve general performance by like 8-15%. My pc can handle it great at 1440p with a couple mods, but I feel for those who have lower end specs (And the PC requirements on steam are somewhat missleading)
bring the og sauce to the hud, compass and such are too boring
In the dungeon of Sercen, have the one spike ball trap being in the middle rather than to the right of the doorway down the staircase. In the original there were two of each side. I do find it weird for it being reduced to one and it being out of the way, which it doesn't make sense for a trap being there and do nothing to either enemies or player.
Would love to adjust damage scalers for player and enemies, so we can have a higher difficulty without damage sponges
-Console Mod support
-Improve the performance FPS drops
-Classic color option
-Fix the difficulty(add a difficulty between adept and expert or damage slider)
-Horse first person
-Add more creatures/NPCs in the world
Please please Do not nerf master difficulty Bethesda it's fine. I'm having a blast on Master difficulty having to employ every tool at my disposal. Every encounter is intense. It's still great.
Can merchants have more Gold? 2000 seems kinda low when we are buying 10000+ items.
Hi congratulations on such a great looking remaster. Many fond memories of the original oblivion. My suggestion is related to enemy AI. Is it possible to have enemy NPCs react to stray arrows close by? In Skyrim this is often used to draw out or distract enemies. I know it's fundamentally an older game but it would be more immersive and enhance the archery if enemy NPCs reacted to arrow impacts in their vicinity. 🎯
Anyone know if we are getting a “Dialogue History” option in our settings??? Would be helpful, it’s in other games
Would be great to have mouse and keyboard support for the PS5 👀
Conversation actions such as Persuade and Purchase Spells currently use progressive verb tenses, like "Persuading" and "Purchasing Spells". I would prefer they return to "Persuade" and "Purchase Spells". I am looking to persuade, therefore it should not have "ing" at the end.
At this rate forget the remaster and end remaking it haha lots of suggestions very good ones
Suggestion: show enemy remaining magicka if the player has a high level int like it shows hp bar
Pls Mod Support ❤️ and all your Problems are gone and all your wishes will be fullfilled Guys.
remove all difficulties apart from master difficulty
Mounted combat (it's a pain getting off the horse every time something attacks me)
Raise Dead spell (always wanted this in OG oblivion)
Other ways to feed as a vampire for example potions of blood like in Skyrim.
Thank you for the remaster, it's stunning, playing in Master difficulty thx to my poison build, i'm ok with the fact that one single mistake could Kill me in this setting but, having to hit a single rat 35 time is pretty boring, i think that the damage reduction of the player character in expert/Master is too high,
Player should always do 1× time damage no matter the difficulty
Hey, I find that there's a not infrequent crash when using menus, specifically looting corpses. It happened twice in the space of a few minutes while I was in Serpent Hollow cave, not sure if area affects it.
- isn’t a bug, that’s how it worked in original Oblivion. I liked Skyrim’s system better, too, but if you’re going to do that you’d also need to increase NPC gold amts.
First of all, this remake is fantastic. I love how true to the original it is, including all the jank and cheese. However, as a suggestion, I would like to see a challenge mode (and maybe an achievement?) that removes cheese leveling options. Examples of changes could include: having a limit in how often you can earn exp for certain skills in a certain timeframe, or preventing earning destruction and combat exp if you're not actually in combat, or restoration exp if you're not wounded. This would prevent things like sneaking behind a rat in a cave for 30 mins to get max sneak, and trivializing the rest of the game.
No way I never noticed that! Strange that they even have a gold amount if that's the case
I'm getting some flickering on my AMD 7900 card, specifically with no clothes/assets
Mod support, maybe even for consoles
can we toggle off the “you are over-encumbered” alert? i know im over the limit in my inventory but i dont need to popping up every 3 seconds while im playing
Fix the argonian faces.
Argonians in the OG oblivion were sleek, slim mostly, looking almost serpent like. When looking at them from the side their head was more of a triangle.
In Skyrim they were bulked up but not in a bad way, they seemed hardier, thicker and more of a dragon or Komodo Dragon style. The head shape was more of a square, the head didn't "bulge" (best word i can think of) up or have a round crest of a head, it was more concave, their head from a side view still had a slight triangle form making them seem more like a lizard/snake, their jaws were slightly bulky but nothing like this.
Here is everything wrong with what I see when I look at the remastered. The snout and muzzle make a box look and because they are a lighter tone comparedto the rest of their skin, some argonians genuinely look like a gorilla or ape appearance, their lips are puffed up a bit in a gross way as if stung by a bee and their scales are wrapped around it, not to mention when their teeth seem to move when they talk. Their jaw bones seem far too thick and the head is unproportional to their body as if their head was enlarged to absurdity. And when looking at a side view it is slightly better but it makes the lips worse and the head is now a rectangle with some of them having a literal bulge on their head (my friend made an Argonian and literally tried to tell me to my face it was fine)
Please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!
Drop a DLC where Kavatch is rebuilt.
Allow for dual-wielding one-handed weapons
Voice output as in the original and not only English
As stated by many others, my biggest concern right out the gates (or sewers) is the imbalance of difficulty settings. Combat in adept difficulty is so easy it bored me, and expert difficulty combat is so extreme it discouraged me. Both combined and I went from 100% all in on the game to instantly putting it down and not wanting to play unfortunately. I want to experience Oblivion in all of its glory but feeling so disengaged or punished in combat is honestly a deal breaker
Can we get a weight slider?
I was thinking:
- Maybe I would put more people in the cities. As they are right now, they look pretty empty. Not necessarily the people have to be able to speak with, but to make those cities more alive.
- Perhaps it's too complex, but something missing from Skyrim is the amount of random activities one can encounter in the wild.
- I would rework some of the animations as well.
Congrats on the Remaster, its truly amazing. The change on the leveling system is amazing. However, the problem of OG Oblivion where enemies scale way more than you continues in the game. By level 20+, you stop getting as much damage, and enemies keep getting more health. They become health sponges. Not only that, but the most mundane bandits now spawn with ebony weapons. Also, some enemies stop complety to spawn, like rats
Also besides the argonians needing a redo/make over for the heads, fixe some faces in general, some mouths for elf's and human characters move unnaturally, as if they were possed by a demon or something. Stretching and moving apart like being pull open instead of a natural talk.
Hair too, well just give them a slight shine or idk something some of the hair for the humanoid characters look as if it was made of mat or its crusty it's only a couple characters from what I've seen, but I don't have the game yet I'm sure I could find more issues once I play to try and fix or touch up or something.
Physical Version 💽
Love the remaster, great job team. Some feedback:
- I can't explain it but gamepad controls in alchemy screen feel clunky
- No HDR support is dreadfully sad 😭 but thankfully Windows auto HDR helps somewhat
- The color palette is too brown and blaaaaaaaand
- Vicenti Valtiere sometimes spawns with no hair and it's absolutely hilarious pls don't fix
German speech Pack would be nice
My suggestion is to make site for oblivion remaster available in other languages... i can't report any bugs, because the website is constantly switching to polish version of help.bethesda.net and it shows 404 error... I can't report anything
Alchemy controls are clunky on pc too. Not to mention the visual bugs
I don't see a shortcut to charge the enchanted weapons. It would be a massive help if that was brought in.
Suggestions:
- Rebalance the difficulties
- Add an option to disable all ray tracing
- Change great swords back to how they were in the og, they are way too slow now
- The Dark Brotherhood shrouded armor colors look nothing like the og, now its way too bright
- Blackwood Company armor is identical to steel armor, in the og it was darker
- Rebalance any abilities affected by your recent changes
please rebalance difficulties ❤️
Anyone wish they got the nord voice actors from Skyrim to voice some nords in oblivion.
Difficulty is a big issue! It's way too easy on adept. Enemies don't even cause damage to me. But then with expert a rat becomes a challenge. I can see the mod community have already fixed this, butI'm on PS5 so mods won't help me. Just needs a difficulty in between adept and expert to reach that sweetspot really.
Id like survival mechanics like what Starfield got as well, bunch of sliders so I can choose the game I want to play!
Yeah we should get an option to make enemies do more damage without making them spongy
Maybe more power attack variants ? Similar to how in oblivion pressing left, right, up, and down all had separate animations and directional attacks.
Maybe add some combat animations in general slightly different angles for the same attacks to make it feel a little less repetitive.
Fix the Difficulty please just add a damage slider
I think this would be cool as an option for those who feel this way, personally I like how they kinda look like a mix of dragon and serpent now
• On console, the menu scroll speed feels way too slow, especially since the inventory subcategories are gone so you have to scroll past all your ingredients to find your mortar & pestle. Scrolling starts extremely slow and then speeds up, but the acceleration and top speed both feel very low.
• Scrolls being mixed with spells, potions mixed with ingredients, and keys and soul gems all scrambled together is terrible.
• The Hackdirt brethren no longer have their gigantic wide-set eyes! Please mess up their faces again, they are supposed to be mid-transformation into fish(?) men.
• Sinweaver has a 0 duration Drain enchantment that does nothing. It should have a duration added or be changed to a Damage effect instead. Mace of Molag Bal had the same issue in the original; looks like it was fixed there but not elsewhere.
@wet island This is the number one thing that needs to be fixed. This should be their only priority right now.
First person mode and attacking while on horseback..Why was this change ever made?
Please implement "E" as the normal positive option in all UI. Also implement "TAB" to go "back" or "exit" when in an UI element. (Like when talking to people, and all other modals)
Sometimes when you try to swing a conjured sword in first person, the blade clips through your face as it does the new thrust animation which makes it look as if you are swallowing the hilt.
It was making me laugh last night but I can see it being annoying to others lol.
Add performance mode for eggbawk
Implementing height variation for player character depending on race is the most needed update currently, it's just really weird otherwise
HEY BETHESDA READ THIS FOR UPDATE IDEAS PLEASE. Okay so first of all, can you guys please either adjust the difficulty settings to where the default adept has the same damage output but have the enemies be able to do simalar damage so i dnt seem like ill never die, and then make expert where they do the same damage, but we do more damage. that or just give us player and enemy damage sliders maybe? Also, would it be hard for you guys to add a Hardcore Mode, where its basically like fallout 4 level of difference without the need to eat or drink( unless your able to implement that along with a whole cooking thing) where you AND the enemy do realistic damage to eachother, add even more severe diseases, permenant afflictions, no fast travel, have more sever penalties to weapon degradation, maybe be able to pick negative traits like kcd2, no health regen, less carryy weight, and maybe make it to where its harder to level up even, like either something more along the og oblivion where you only have 3 points to spend, and each will have a multiplier depending on how much you leveled that skill up in that attributes it corresponds too. just ideas, but mainly id just like a fix for the difficulty thats allllll
So while everyone here as pretty much covered all my legitimate suggestions many times over, examples like allowing us to remove the facial hair from Khajiit, difficulty rework, and some others, I've got a new content Idea. Back on the original game there was a wonderful mod by the name of Kvatch Rebuilt, that not only rebuilt Kvatch but allowed you to become the count or countess, I feel making this officially part of the game would be a great addition and story wise quite in line seeing how you are the sole reason the remaining city folk are able to even rebuild in the first place, this could be set either separate from the rest of the main story so long as you finish the rest of the Kvatch siege or having it only become a thing after the completion of the main story either one could work depending on how its written. I'm sure this one has been suggested before and likely will again (too much scrolling up to find out if it has been)
If at all possible to add more weapon types and animation.... I would love to have pole arms/spears like in Morrowind added. Particualy the halberd
If possible marriage to and companions
Going to throw throw this out there again, any chance we can get a chest that we can store levelled weapons in to alter them to the current player level? Perhaps this could be done with a lever which runs script to remove and then add the correct corresponding item, heck, make it cost gold if the worry is exploiting enchantment recharges
The fight arena used to have hanging lamp with physics that was fun to hit after every fight.
The remake turned it into just a frozen lamp that won't move if hit. 20 years of muscle memory has me disappointed by this
please give named items a unique look from the normal counterpart. like give fin gleam a scaled texture ex. Add more hidden items like morrowind had.
Add performance mode for eggbawk
Love the remaster, but would be great to have the item grab/placement function (when holding E on an item) be the same as back in original, or like starfield with rotation on each axis. Current grab function makes it really difficult to place items when decorating houses etc.
Unleveled unique items or they level with you
Add a quest to rebuild kvatch please in the endgame! Would love to see its displaced citizens find home again. Maybe even become the ruler of kvatch with your own statue to boot!
Give Shadowrend (Claymore) its original model and texture as it's currently a black generic daedric claymore.
Make Painted Troll Fat duplicatable in the Enchanted Chest (unsure if that's the case in the remaster currently)
Photo mode, and horseback combat
add option to remove auto health regen
Fix enemy level scaling. I want to feel the sense that my character is getting stronger. Bandits don’t need daedric armor and not every troll needs to turn into a Minotaur.
Please keep in mind this channel for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Auto-leveled items would be great, or pay a specific merchant/mage to level them for you or something
The difficulty settings need some tweaking, too radical a change between adept/expert.
I would like a starfield- like tweaks menu, allowing more personalised settings choices, and food, drink sleep needs etc, to give the game more depth.
More clothes, armour and weapon variants. Saddlebags on horses to add extra inventory space, and lastly
Now that unreal engine has allowed cloth physics, how about adding cloaks, and capes! For the first time since Daggerfall in a bethesda game!!
DLC suggestions:
- more weapons
- spears
-throwing weapons
-dual wields
-martial art staffs
- More armor styles from other elder across games. (Mostly cosmetic)
- Would it be possible to get another smaller province added to the game? Like elsweyr?
- New companions DLC.
- New spells/ magic DLC
- Werewolves.
- Expand the arena and add more fights.
- Please add in character body types such as skinny, buff, chunky. Add a scaling system like in fallout 4 and Starfield.
- Alternate races dlc. Make the argonian, khajiit, and orcs have alternate appearances similar to Skyrim. More options is always better.
- More Mage armors
- Capes
We don’t need all of these things. However 1-2 of them at least would make a lot of people stoked.
It would be great if damage scaling affected all entities and not just the player.
That way, there could be a hardcore difficulty that makes hits from all parties far more lethal.
Would like separate difficulty sliders for player damage and enemy damage. The default balancing feels too easy, but higher difficulty is too heavy handed with reducing player damage.
First person horse back please !
Horse and follower NPCs need to stop taking ALL the enemy aggro away from the player. Need to fix blades armor shoulder visibility in fpp and the sword clips through it when entering shadows. And bring back the arrow dupe glitch, maybe even after you beat the game or something!
Here’s a level scaling solution
Have some enemies scale with you warlords, bandit ring leaders, high ranking dremora, basically ebemies that should be powerful, and others appear weaker. Example this bandit stops at level 8, this one stops at level 13, have “weaker” enemies fall in ranges of levels between 5-15, with rare exceptions some tomes spawning higher level enemies. To keep the sense of the player being powerful.
Allow Shivering Isles Ingredients to be duplicated in the Enchanted Chest (assuming they still can't be like OG Oblivion, not sure if that's a bug or "feature"...)

Please change the design of the trolls so that they have the third eye like in the original. It's a small thing, but the third eye is what made the trolls look distinct from other monsters, and is important for all sorts of lore theories about why the frost giants of Skyrim also have it.
- Kvatch Rebuilt DLC

Please make a suggestion only one time. You can make different suggestions, but repeating the same one is considered spam
A difficulty between Adept and Expert. Expert makes everything very spongy, while adept makes them kinda pushovers.
It’s honestly really disappointing that the way assault/murder charges work hasn’t been changed. It’s the same awful system the original used; any assault that gets witnessed, even if you kill the witness, will get you an assault charge. If you attack someone who is by themselves and kill them in just one hit, you don’t get a bounty, but if you kill them in two hits, you’ll be stuck with an assault charge but not a murder charge because they witnessed their own assault and that bounty sticks. Needed a fix back in 2006, never got one. Now is the time.
We need “dungeon cleared” map markers or unlimited markers like an “x” or “o” to keep up with dungeons we’ve cleared.
If you have a suggestion to change something in discord. It would not go here. You would post it in #discord-suggestions
Remap the enter key for E for confirmation in popup. This is sooooo annoying
Can we a magical radio, like in fallout games, to listen for a specific soundtrack from the game?
Please add vats to the game thanks
Option to disable the Naruto sprint?
Here I am suggesting this again because people like it, and I want the dev’s to see it:
- Nerf EXP gains to slow leveling
- Add “Legendary” option to all skills to set them back to the level we started the game with so we can re-level them thus adding more replayability
- Increase main level cap (if its still 50)
- Make whole game (potions, enemies, weapons, armor…) scale with us
Also, trolls in the reacts. Watch out 🙄
Suggestion: More distinct Vampire appearances, not that they have to look old like the og version, but each race having a distinct Vampire eye appearance rather than some being normal. As well as visually being paler
yes option to disable naruto sprint
Make armor colors match the original more closely, there seems to be an aversion to darker colors
Imperial guard armor, DB armor, dark seducer, orcish, I could go on.
If DLCs are going to be a thing, either a Kvatch Rebuild or A Stirk (the small island visible off the Gold Coast) based DLC could be pretty cool.
Please restore the original lighting and color grading to preserve the original feel. The Unreal Engine 5 washed out many of the colors and diminished the mystical fog that the original had. At the very least, provide it as an option so that both those who prefer either view will be satisfied.
An option to switch would definitely be more preferred. But a complete change? Absolutely not
PLEASE fix the difficulty! Adept is way too easy and expert is a slog where everything has a billion health (health sponges are not fun), hit like a truck, and you poke them with little needles. There needs to be more options in between those options. I understand why the slider was removed but I also need a more engaging difficulty that is reasonably difficult instead of a jump into nightmare mode.
Lucien Lachance is missing all his AURA, can you fix him please 💔 I made a video about this on my Youtube Channel so you can see what Im talking about https://youtu.be/MABIzMZRzb0 and https://youtube.com/shorts/hbiE1J1UQJ8
Lucien Lachance and his character model has been changed in the new remastered version and I don’t like it.
His original had so much aura and intention..this characters has fallen off 💔

An easter egg for Wilburger's Autism Cat. A nod for Wilburger with some kitty seduce spell, and to show even more love for the community who have a mental disability like me. At least a Khajiit follower with some references to Wilburger's Autism Cat. I don't recall if we have any actual Khajiit companion/followers in Oblivion. Doesn't hurt to have them. Wowee!
Add player home options to allow us to:
- Set books on shelves
- Add weapons to weapon racks
- Mannequins WITH option to add armor to them from inventory
<Yes, options like Hearthfire DLC in Skyrim>
This dropping and dragging is not ideal for people with arthritis (most of us who played original Oblivion are well over 30).
Please add radio new Vegas to oblivion
-DLC (Quest, New Player homes etc.)
-photo mode
-a way to change appearance
-more character creation options
-Make Quality mode in XBXSX more stable
Preemptive suggestion, when the player height bug is fixed, watch the actual player hitbox, certain locations such as the cheydinhal mages guild lower level become inaccessible, your head clips off the ceiling so you cant actually descend the stairs to the left of the entrance
-
We need to bring in radiant questing for more things to do especially for late game or just to make more money. I’d love the ability to accept bounties or even just help random people that might have lost something in a cave somehow.
-
A way to level up unique gear, especially daedric artifacts, like you can do in Knights of the Nine. This was a problem in pretty much all ES games that had these weapons and armors. If you got them at a low level they were severely weak by mid to late game. In oblivion it’s made worse because there is no option to upgrade the weapon through smithing like in Skyrim. Just an option to bring the artifact to the respective daedric shrine and interact to upgrade it to current characters level would be enough.
-
We need mounted horse combat, I’ve made this point in an earlier post but I want to expand and add that we also need the return of first person mode. Also maybe speed them up a little, that would be great.
-
Analog based walk speed. It’s strange that when I walk with an npc I’m slower but when I try to catch up slightly I go into a full jog.
+1 for creation club content
Hey all, just wanted to say Virtuos hit it out of the park, remastering my favourite RPG of all time was a tall order and I didn't think they could do it, but they surpassed expectations and succeeded at recapturing how we remembered Oblivion. Props to Bethesda for allowing this to happen, and their help and support for Virtuos throughout. That being said, 30 hours into the game on PC and loving it, these are my suggestions based on personal experience.
- Daedric Quests have no subtitles from the Daedra, and audio cuts out when they talk sometimes.
- Had a glitch with the Molag Bal quest on higher difficulties, essentially killing me twice and preventing me respawning. I found a workaround by blocking with my fists to just barely survive, but it was a pain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OJzuHf1soc
- On day 2 of launch, my menus stopped working. I couldn't pause, couldn't sell to vendors, couldn't exit the game. Had to hard ALT+F4 it.
- The Arena questline is currently unplayable for me. Rest of the game is mostly 60FPS except for outside in dense forest, but the Arena drops to around 31-33 FPS and I assume it's due to rendering the crowd rather than using spirtes.
- I wish there was a toggle key for the local map. Scrolling four times, then the game not remembering your view when you reopen the map is a pain.
- Probably unlikely, but a <cleared/explored> overlay on map markers would be huge. I keep accidentally exploring the same fort 😆
- Player character in the inventory screen is always barehanded when Umbra is equipped. Re-equipping it forces the pose to update, but it repeats again not long after.
- In interiors, I can play 120 fps locked. Exteriors, 45-60 fps in fluctuation. Not the end of the world since I played it all the way back on 360, but it does become noticeable.
- Horse name keeps popping up if you ride in a straight line.
- Not a huge fan of the telemetry data thing.
- Sometimes A-Z inventory sorting bugs out and is all over the place.
Game thinks I perma-died the first time, then the second time it warps me like it's supposed to but then I can't interact with the world or pause. Odd.

I really like oblivion, but a tad more attention to the PC GUI would be nice. If my fingers are resting at WASD, then "Enter" and "Escape" are not my buttons for "yes" and "no".
clamber animations would be great and would add way more immersion for me. sometimes it looks like you're just walking into a hill and magically going up, also a a favourites menu like skyrim would also be great as with mage builds i end up using way more spells than the amount of space on the wheel
I play with controller i would just like to be able to push up on directional pad and use hotkey 1 . Upright hotkey 2 and so forth without the need to open a wheel with another button.
Expert is too hard and adept too easy, difficulty sliders would be better or not everything scaling to your level.
Hello, I would love an option for HUD transparency, as a stealth archer, sometimes its hard to see what I'm shooting at when im somewhere like a cave in oblivion, and im shooting at a scamp, its very hard to tell the two apart so an option for a transparency slider for my HUD would be nice so I can see better what I'm shooting at. thanks x
Oblivion Remastered is FINALLY the opportunity to release an expansion/DLC that focuses on the rebuilding of Kvatch. I remember back during the original Oblivion days, the conversation of Kvatch being rebuilt with the help of the player was a prominent one. Integrate a quest line where you serve the count of Kvatch and assist in the efforts of rebuilding the town or make it so the player can become the count/countess. if there’s going to be new DLC/Expansion for Oblivion remastered, this option only makes sense!! It was a missed opportunity back in the day!! Turn back the sands of time and bring forth what should have been!
To concur with Trent's suggestion, the smithing that crafts armor in the game, we could learn the crafting similar to Skyrim's, but we learn smithing from the books about smithing, and many ways of learning smithing is by repairing armor and weapons or improving weapons using the smithing skill. Not just smithing for weapons and armor, but we also should have the option to craft clothes using a spinning wheel as a craftable workbench.
Just ran into a really annoying bug. Whenever I try to unlock a chest, I level up to 25 security. This prompts a pop up that locks my cursor, so I cannot click through the popup to continue playing. I have to force quit the game. I have yet to find a work around.
Repare the game ! playing on a 4070s (not even in ultra) and the game lagging and freeze so much (and loading screen take so much time) please patch this

Add a makeover mage to change hair / appearance like in Skyrim (Or something in owned houses)
Visible body in first person. Should be super easy to implement and should have been in elder scrolls games for a long time already
I remember Dark Messiah had a visible body around the same time Oblivion came out and I thought "FINALLY! Been waiting for someone to do that for 3,000 years."
Would be cool to have a toggle to switch between the remaster’s current realistic colors and the original game’s more vibrant colors. A “classic” vs. “enhanced" color toggle
Could you please add shadows to the Welkynd stone lights? I'm grateful and impressed that every fire lightsource cast shadows in the game; this would help greatly with immersion.
Add a way to adjust HDR please
We need a difficulty slider or difficulty adjustment. Playing on adept feels way too easy, basically no challenge. Everything dies in 2-4 hits and you take so little damage. Playing on expert feels nearly impossible as it’s the reverse (you die in 2-4 hits and everything has insane health). There needs to be either a slider or an increment of difficulty in between adept and expert. It’s taking a lot away from the experience tbh.
add physics to arena ceiling tunnel lantern
I would like a way to do horse mounted combat. Such as the ability to swing a sword, cast a spell, shoot an arrow, etc while on horseback.
I think the solution should be to both make novice and adept a bit harder, as well as making expert slightly easier
oh and fix the steam cloud save issue where something is pointing to onedrive or whatever
- mod support
- make local map be the default level when inside a city, cave ect
- Dual wield like skyrim
- Ability to still move foward while using the ability wheel
- Toggle for the color scheme to be less warm
- More destruction spell elemental types: maybe earth, water, air, magma, blood ect
- I suspect this is prohibitively difficult but on the off chance it isn't, a two player co-op option would be so cool
Absolutely love the game. Thank you for doing this. But could we please get the option to change the color grading to something more vibrant like in the original. ❤️
Match the eyebrow palette to the hair palette
It really does take away from the experience! I put the game aside for now until it’s hopefully fixed.
Need a fix for the character in your inventory almost always be unarmed when they have a weapon equipped. It’s really annoying and distracting when I’m going through my inventory
We need a more realistic difficulty setting. The damage I take in expert is perfect but I lose all immersion clubbing someone in the head 50 plus times.
Can we get sub categories in inventory, potions, ingredients, keys ect
Survival mode
Obtainable Syl's dress, Ability to obtain the Dark Seducer Armor and missing story granted summons post-Shivering Isles if sided Dementia, and the Ability to obtain the Golden Saint Armor and missing story granted summons post-Shivering Isles if sided Mania. Creations would also be a nice addition, for those of us on console at least.
Please introduce difficulty sliders (the ones in Starfield are perfect for example), too easy on Adept too hard in Expert
Can't agree more, this issue is borderline ruining the game for me at this point. Adept is far to easy and expert is borderline impossible in some fights.
on the topic of survival mode
i think temperature would be good to add to it too (probably optional cause not everyone likes temp management)
and i think more interesting than managing temp in skyrim due to the more diverse climates
you could probably be too cold in bruma or be too warm in bravil

Add mod support on console and add the imperial watch armor
Please keep discussion of suggestions in #oblivion-chat to keep the channel free of clutter.
Just taking the time to reiterate a LOT of people’s biggest gripe, please add DIFFICULTY SLIDERS/UPDATE DIFFICULTY
The only reason I’ve put the game down in hope for mod support or an update!
Also I'm aure someone has mentioned it, but when you have a shield and bow equipped, and are holding a torch, when you draw your bow, your shield will still be on your arm. A camera switch fixes this though.
I've put this game down because of the difficulty options.
Please adjust expert for a more streamlined experience.
Like previously mentioned this is a perfect opportunity to have DLC for the restoration of Kvatch. HEAR ME OUT the old count is dead right? You could introduce new quests in the restoration of Kvatch, which concludes the “Hero of Kvatch” becoming the new Count.
Please bring back the enchanted weapon sound effects. Not only did they sound absolutely epic, but the sound effect served as a diagetic indicator of your weapon's charge. I may be misremembering but I'm pretty sure the sound effect was diminished or disappeared when your weapon's charge was empty. Im talking about the magical whoosh sound that enchanted weapons made when you drew them.
An option to adjust the color grading to the more vibrant colorful look from the original game
Absolutely I would love to see you rebuild Kvatch and become the count!
My horse and follower NPCs get ALL THE SMOKE from all the enemy, can we tune that down???
Color options more like the original would be fantastic. I’ve seen reshades that look close but then they throw off the color in places that look right as is
I believe the npcs will prioritize the threat they perceive to be greater. So I believe it's just a matter of becoming more of a threat than your horse.
1 - Body Types like in Baldur’s Gate 3? i.e. Big and Small frame - Coz buff Bosmer would be hilarious.
2 - All armours and outfits seen to be obtainable one way or another.
3 - A switch shoulder camera for the third person view - i.e. Left shoulder perspective.
4 - Left-handed weapon holding? (I guess that's just dual-wielding tho)
5 - Same walking speed as NPCs - as a no/off option in accessibility menu.
6 - Cross-hair - as a no/off option in accessibility menu.
7 - Louder Ambient Music? - An option to crank it to 11.
Let us delete custom spells if we made a mistake and forgot to save beforehand or something
Please make levelled weapons be able to level with you because I hate doing my favourite quests early on and receiving a useless weapon, I don't want to have to purposefully hold off on doing certain quests until I'm 25+
please let us use shield and hand 🙏 hand to hand would be cooler with that and we can already use torches plus hands so why not
-
Would be nice for the devs to pin a message/have a bot post a message in this chat for what criteria a suggestion needs to hit for it to be discussed, this would make better use of everyone’s time
-
Would be nice if someone from the devs team would interact with this channel so we know they’re listening and actively looking for suggestions
Please add back in the ability to hit bodies after you’ve killed them. It sounds like a small thing but it made the combat feel more realistic and felt like their ragdoll still had a presence in the game
Please fix difficulty settings. Adept is too easy and expert is way too hard. Something in the middle would be a more enjoyable experience. Also summons get too powerful when scaling also
can we get a control option to just have the shortcut wheel on the D-pad again? i dont really need all these menu shortcuts, the menu is easy enough with one button but holding LB and pressing a direction on the stick is just so much less fluid than hitting up on the D-pad to use my potion.
the game in general is much less snappy than the original, cant swing while blocking, cant cast while blocking, etc... doesnt feel right how many button presses or releases i have to do for basic stuff.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but it would be nice if "E" (or even better, a re-bindable key) could function the same as the "Enter" key when navigating menus. FO4 (and IIRC, maybe even Skyrim SE) has this feature and for me it's been very jarring to have to move my mouse and click "continue" as opposed to just hitting E and skipping right through prompts like other recent Bethesda titles. It's most noticeable when transferring items.
Bring first person horseriding and combat back.
I don't think it's helpful to have my horses name appear when I'm riding it either.
Please keep discussion of suggestions in #oblivion-chat to keep the channel free of clutter.
-update the alchemy menu so you can more easily select which items you are including/replacing in your potion. Currently I have to back out of the entire menu and then reselect the mortar & pestle (if anyone knows how to not do this pls tell me)
- please have menus keep your spot when you close/reopen so you can spend less time scrolling
Please add more achievements/trophies 🙏 There is so much potential for some really creative and quirky ones. Closing all oblivion gates is a must!
PLEASE make leveled items level up with your character. So that we are free to do whatever, whenever, without the fear of having underpowered versions of our favorite gear.
blood overlay on swords and fists should last longer and maybe get on our character too, getting out of the arena all bloodied up would be immersive
Dunno what the support for this game will be like scope wise, but one suggestion I’d love to be implemented would be a sort of monthly roadmap update, communication from the developer side would be a massive blessing, and also help with knowing which suggestions have already been addressed
Multiple marks on the map
DLSS with FSR3 frame gen would be nice
Hey
Their is my suggestion :)
I’m not sure if it’s a bug or intentional, but adjusting the horse running sound—
The hoof sounds on the ground don’t really feel realistic, and they’re way too quiet!
I’d really love a mod or an update to fix this. It seems like an audio track is either too low, muted, or maybe even missing entirely.
When a horse gallops, it makes noise!
For example, the sounds in Skyrim were really well done. It would be great to use that as a reference :)
Also, it would be awesome to bring back first-person view while riding, like in the original. I really miss that!
hi! the remaster is great and I'm having a lot of fun, but the difficulty scaling really sucks the life out of the experience, since Adept is unengaging, and Expert is insufferable. custom scaling options would be great, since you can't use mods on console
Let us rebuild Kvatch
Came here to say the same thing. Was absolutely one shotting everything, and then switched to Expert and started getting manhandled left and right.
Give us back the old buff UI. Upper right corner and smaller icons. Was simple, clean, and intuitive. The lower left corner and larger icons are awkward, can't be kept track of, and quite frankly just ugly.
I would like the ability to turn off locations and enemies on my compass. I like having to listen for enemies. And I like not having location icons on my compass and finding things on my own.
Revamp the level scaling. It’s absurd that at level 13 I can’t one-hit stealth kill an un-armoured pacifist NPC, whereas I was one-shotting bandits with my bow at level 1.
You can do it with this mod, check under the "posts" tab for Oblivion specific instructions: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=description
Please bring back unique race heights for the player, can't understand why it was removed in the first place
I need a way to tell where I've been on my world map. The dungeon cleared indicator was pretty good in Skyrim. Even better would be a way to add custom text notes to any map marker. If text input is impossible on every platform, then a list of common tags would be nice. Tags that I can attach to a map marker like cleared, strong enemy, has loot.
I’m begging for different voice actor languages like in the original. In my case German. The files are there and we don’t need revoicing…
HDR support for Xbox Series X
From a graphical perspective the game is essentially unplayable on the Steamdeck currently, so any changes in that regard would be fantastic (way to disable Lumen/RT for example).
delay between punching and blocking is too high, makes fist fights feel pretty bad at times
I know, and I do, but official support would help people who don't know.
Sorry for the long message. Amazing remaster—just some thoughts! (For context, I’m playing on Xbox.)
[General Suggestions]
-Visual filters/presets would be great—especially one restoring vanilla’s colorful, saturated look: brighter greens/blues, stronger bloom, punchier contrast. That vivid, pastoral fairytale feel.
-Character grunts even when blocking; in vanilla, it only happened on direct hits. Constant grunting disrupts combat rhythm and clarity.
-Local Map should default for interiors (maybe cities too).
-Option to toggle Blood Lens on/off.
-Bring back Inventory dividers/categories.
-Include enemy weapons in their inventory when looting
-Restore unique looting sounds (sacks, crates, barrels, etc.).
-Bring back "door closing" sounds triggered after loading screens.
[Bugs]
-Persuasion minigame: wheel starts gold, then changes colors (yellow, green, red). Sometimes lockpicking prompts ("Set Tumbler") appear.
-Lockpick breaking sound plays when entering the lockpicking minigame.
-Inventory model often shows empty hands instead of sword/shield—like the hands of a Lego figure.
-In First Person, bow use sometimes leaves shield visible; re-entering fixes. Equipment shadows can appear without body.
-Repair menu: item health values on left and right often don’t match (off by one point).
-Potion Creation menu feels broken—hard to select/remove ingredients without exiting.
-Enemies often clip through shield/character model when attacking (First Person).
-Sometimes, swimming sounds persist after leaving water.
-"Let me do that one again" voiceline bug still there.
-Motion blur breaks butterfly textures—blocks of color.
[Content Suggestion]
-More travelers on roads would be fantastic—like the "Travelers of Cyrodiil" mod. Makes the world feel much more alive!
Echoing everyone who is pointing out the difficulty problems, there NEEDS to be a difficulty between adept and expert.
Some thoughts on solutions: I understand why you'd want to remove the slider as this opaque granular system that provides more control than is helpful, but your discrete options are too coarse.
Ideally, I would like sliders or levels systems for both enemy health and enemy damage. Scaling everything together leads to choosing a harder experience meaning you also have to deal with more of a slog. I personally just hate enemies becoming attack sponges as a difficulty mechanic, I'd have a lot more fun personally cranking them up to the brutal damage they're dealing on Expert or Master and leave the health unchanged.
So far great remaster. But 2 things that need fixed is 1 armor and weapons break way to frequent i feel like I'm repairing them every fight, that's a big problem as it makes it more annoying to be in fights. 2 enchantments get used up on weapons too fast I shouldn't have to burn 100s of grand soul gems in 1 castle or cave.
The ability to see what level spells are (Novice, Journeyman, etc) in merchant and player inventory menus
This just needs to happen, I couldn’t imagine Bethesda/Virtuoso sitting around a table, debating and pondering on possible DLC additions with this right there in front of them. We have been waiting almost 20 years for Kvatch to be rebuilt 😂 Just make it happen!
Another suggestion is to make being a vampire worth it. In all honesty being a vampire in oblivion has never been good. Having to feed every 24 hrs is more like a job than it is fun. And going past stage 1 makes the game a chore. Only being able to play missions and explore at night. It ruins half the game in retrospect.
Make it so the khajiit chin beard hair moves with the chin somehow when customizing your character. My character has bald spots in his beard because I made his chin a little too big and wasn’t looking at his hair😢
I just stealth killed an NPC with no witnesses in one hit, got hit with a 1000 gold bounty anyway. Reloaded and killed her in two hits, only got the 40 gold assault bounty. What in the world? Whole system needs a revamp. I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t been already.
Make it so we can see if we have read the book or not (and if it is a skill book and what skill) 📚
New armor!
And more random encounters when traveling. The world is beautiful to look at but not much going on, so it doesn't feel teeming with life when exploring
I'd like the ability to change sprint from a toggle to a hold bind
Has this happened to anyone else?
When I went to the Dark Brotherhood and saw that Vincente Valtieri, my first thought was "Why is he bald?". He's the only vampire I saw bald at the time, then when I became a vampire and went outside and started to burn. But what was weird is as soon as I loaded outside, my character became bald too.
I reloaded an old save and saw a previous vampire that had hair is now bald too!
Every vampire is becoming bald in my game!!! 😱
I made a suggestion to fix this earlier, but mine randomly fixed itself in game today. 🤷♂️
Leveled loot needs to level up with your character!
There’s a big issue with clutter just spilling all over rooms. the original oblivion had a similar issue, but it is far worse in the remake. Some rooms will just have books and plates spilled all over the ground. It’s very immersion breaking

Could you add a enchant for reducing sun damage?
A DLC Themed around Hiercine And Lycanthropy. Also make Vampire more fun. Ideally Skyrimize Vampirism with the exemption of the transformation as it wouldn’t fit in Oblivion
Toggle beards for Khajiit female characters.
Add a mcdonalds to the imperial city
I would like a way to summon my horse to my location
I'd also like the ability to rebind the 'take item stack/take book' confirmation button from enter
Add performance mode for eggbawk
2 requests. 1. Be able to call your horse. 2. Be able to look behind while riding a horse. Thank you 🐎
Rework vampires to be like skyrim, they get weaker in the day but the sun doesnt do damage
fix player raceheight to match the npcs (a door in the prison dungeon may need altered for altmer)
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/757?tab=description
Make an expansion or two, Add a questline or two for each Guild after the player becomes the Guild leader of it to give even more life to the guilds. Heck add a couple more guilds while you at it too. Oh and add a Barber I am annoyed that my Imperials beard is sticking out of some of the helmet making him look ridiculous.
Please let us Marry NPC! I want to marry my sweat heart Dar-Ma. She's amazing and calls me handsome! Also making followers better please.
- Hardcore/Survival mode where eating and sleeping are mandatory, diseases are harsher, injuries like broken bones can be gained, etc.
- The ability to purchase camping supplies and set up camp anywhere in the wilderness.
- The ability to cook meals and bake sweets ala Skyrim.
- The ability to build your own house/settlement.
- Difficulty Adjustment 2. 'Original Color Palette' Setting 3. 'No Sprint' Setting
We don’t need to be talking about expansions or anything like that just yet. None of that will happen. We need to be focusing on modernizing the gameplay features that already exist, while fixing the new and old bugs and glitches. Adding content, aside from small things like armor stands and such, shouldn’t be the focus. We have all the content we could ever want. Shift your focus instead to what already exists here for us that can be brought up to par with other modern role playing games and that could easily be recoded and reimplemented.
Love the game but the difficulty options really need to be re worked
Can we please get a Photomode for Oblivion Remastered?
If possible, I'd like the keys for picking up items, and adding items to your inventory to be separate, like they were in the original game. I miss being able to just pick up an item off the ground, and setting it on a table. Used to decorate my Skingrad house like that.
If nothing else, please add in game mod support so I can play mods on console
Please let us make jacked characters!
Loving the game so far. I have two suggestions right now:
-
When playing in borderless window mode with a second monitor, it's very tricky to get the game to release mouse capture even when playing with a gamepad. In the Unreal Editor viewports, Shift-F1 accomplishes this nicely, and the API function that is bound to that key is available in runtime. Please add that key combo, or an equivalent one, to release the cursor explicitly.
-
I develop engineering apps in Unreal Engine 5 using Linux for both development and runtime. I've worked quite a bit with cross-platform builds, and I would assert that if you're already supporting Windows, XBox, and PS, the addition of native Linux (and maybe Mac) builds might not be trivial, but it is feasible. Please consider doing so. I'd happily beta test a Linux build (or create one if I had access to the source material under NDA -- and yes, I'm aware you don't work that way, but it never hurts to offer).
As an aside, I'm playing on Arch Linux with Proton, at native 4K reasolution, almost-maxed out quality settings, on a Dell mobile workstation, and getting no noticeable lag.
Why were the weapon skills removed? (Poke attack, Sideways Slash, etc. This is supposed to be a remaster? Please add those back, as the passive skills that are currently there arn't as fun.
I would add to that with
1- Making unique items actually unique looking (with actually unique models not just recolored vanilla ones0
2- Give scabbards to swords that dont have one (like Dawnfang and the Dragonsword of Lainlyn among others)
Those two things would make hell of a difference!
When you walk through most single doors that have a loading screen look back at the door after walking through. The handle and hinge are on the wrong side most of the time.
Redo argonians heads they look very off putting, redo them like Skyrims if possible
Where feasible, please take advantage of modern hardware, occlusion culling, etc., to eliminate load doors between internal cells. I've modded the original extensively so I do understand that breaks a lot of references if not carefully managed, but it's 2025, so presumably Virtuos has already automated reference checking.
This would be especially appreciated in the player homes -- and hopefully easy to implement because the only quests I know of that refer to those cells are the furnishing upgrades and the ||Dark Brotherhood initial contact.||
I’m rework Vampirism and make it worth the hassle.
maybe make a "classic UI" button. I want the health bar and cumpas to be in the og spot
hello! first of all, i want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who worked on the creation of the TES4: Oblivion remaster! For me, this is a very special game, with which a huge number of memories are associated!
At the moment, i have completed the arena, dark brotherhood and thieves' guild
The thieves' guild quests are a little buggy, by the way, since i caught several crashes, but for such a big game, this is a good result! Also, i want to express my gratitude for the presence of all the DLC in the standard edition!
I'm also a trophy hunter, so I was a little confused that there are no achievements for the Knights of the Nine expansion, for example, or for collecting all the daedric artifacts, like there were in Skyrim
I know the achievements are from the Xbox360 and maybe it's not the most important aspect of the game, but I think it could have been updated a little, in honor of the remaster's release
Oblivion Remastered is the game of the year for me, again, hands down, a huge thank you for the work you've done, once again!
and one more thing i forgot: please make it so that when switching to the local map and closing it, the global map does not open every time you press the map key, it makes it difficult to explore dungeons
An actual local map toggle with the ability to zoom in and out of said local map instead of whatever the heck this current mess is
Not sure if anyone has recommended it yet, but I'd like to see the Adoring Fan be actually able to be taken as a full on companion ala later titles like Skyrim or Fallout
Ideas that come to mind:
- Legendary option for skills once maxed. Once Legendary is toggled the skill goes back to the original level it was when you started. This allows for more playability and longevity for character saves.
- Level cap removal (if there is a level cap) to accommodate the legendary option.
- Less EXP gains as leveling is too fast. This prevents really enjoying the complexity of the game and causes the “over-powered bois” to make YouTube and TikTok videos on how to be OP. (Cringe)
- Radiant quests for longevity and reliability for the character saves
- Hearthfire-like options for the player home such as:
- Place weapons from inventory on weapon racks
- Mannequins + ability to move armor/clothing from inventory to mannequin
- Spell maker so we can craft spells
- Ability to upgrade unique items to match level, or items automatically scale with us.
And what the dude below me said.
A draw distance slider in the graphics settings could go a long way towards making this more playable for people with lower end pcs. Not everyone can afford current gen graphics cards. I personally have a 1660 and while I'd love to sink my teeth into the game, it's basically unplayable for me as is
Reduce the cost of custom spells as well as premade spells in game. Why in the lords name should fingers of the mountain costs 1547 magicka to cast for 200 damage, yet our melee damage is now capped by strength and blades, and fatigue having no effect on damage
I've noticed an issue where the character model in the inventory screen sometimes won't show equipped weapons

Please keep discussion of suggestions and other chat in #oblivion-chat to keep the channel free of clutter.
Please make player height race dependent instead of every player character being the same size
NPCs get race based height why don't we?
Please add a keyring as seen in other BGS games to help declutter the inventory.
Actually, fatigue does increase damage if you fortify it. At full fatigue, your damage multiplier is just 1. For less than full fatigue, your damage is actually reduced. With fatigue at 0, you do 50% less damage. When you fortify your fatigue beyond your maximum, you can do a lot more damage. I forget what the maximum fatigue is, but if your current maximum fatigue is 400 and you fortify it to 800, you do an additional 50% damage. Fortify it to 1200 and you do 100% more damage (aka 2x base damage). Fortifying fatigue that high isn't easy without spellmaking exploits, but it's doable
Edit: I was wrong. Apparently the remaster changed the damage formula 😭 fortifying fatigue past your max does not increase damage
Pls bring back dlss after today's gamepass update 🙏🙏🙏
Add repeatable quests in different guilds because after clearing the game, it is empty
A hood that negates sun damage and conceals vampirism would also be cool because if you wanted to play the original vampire you could just not pick up the hood maybe split the effects between a hood and a amulet so you get punished by them taking two gear slots could even make them take up more anything to stop me having to explode after fast traveling 😂
Make the map tab default to interior map when you're in a dungeon/building.
Slow down the leveling abit, it's wild since minor skills level you.
Option for OG UI
Sort the inventory tabs out for ingredients/potions etc it's a mess
Bring back the extra weapon attacks
Make race heights like they were in OG
Some grammatical errors and spelling mistakes:
Handbill advertising First Edition:
It says "a finest selection" when it should say "the finest selection".
Chorrol Recommendation quest description after finding out what Earana is after and reporting back to Teekeeus:
There appears to be an extra space between "find" and "the" in "asked that I find the".
Night Mother Rituals! issue of the Black Horse Courier:
"Witnesses" is misspelled as "witnesseses".
Keep blood out of my eyes when I have blood toggled on
omg yes
Please add first person horse riding, like in the original oblivion. It was something I missed when Skyrim came out, and something I wish this remaster included. Apparently, mods have already been created to accomplish this, but people playing on console have no way of riding a horse in first person. I always play in first person, and it is jarring swapping to third person to ride horses, only to jump back to first person again.
Action Button [E] to proceed through windows/popups instead of just [Enter]
In the quest, "Legacy Lost", when describing the location of Wetherleah, he says North of For Carmala but the subtitles read south west
like alot of people requested, a survival mode with a camping mechanic would be really fire
can we Bring back the og fine tuning difficulty slider
Please keep in mind this channel for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Please add back a sound effect for when you complete a quest 🙂
Universal stash box and cooking (not alchemy). Universal stash as if we own multiple homes, we can access our stored gear across them all and cooking because there are so many "food" ingredients.
I second the previously mentioned camping idea
would make a hunter character so fun
There should be an original UI option
Increase the maximum mouse sensitivity. Even at 100, it's hard to turn fast enough without having to move my mouse like 2 feet to the left or right 😭 The game completely overrides my computer's mouse sensitivity settings, so no outside program can modify it 😭
make it to where dungeons will show if youve explored them, with how many dungeons there it can get pretty confusing with the ones youve mightve stumbled upon and never went in cause you might have been a a questy or something
I've wandered around the original version and the new version and I've noticed there isn't the same amount of lootable items in the world and in a few dungeons. I love the idea of exploration being more rewarding and enticing to people who care explore the world.
Could we potentially add more lootable objects scattered in potentially interesting places ( near water falls / inside ruins / interesting looking areas etc ) ?
- Increase flight speed for magical projectiles, they're far too slow.
- Add a charging effect to staves. We have to release the fire button to fire the spell but there's no indication, so it feels rather dull.
- Allow us to bind Shortcut Slots to buttons on controller
- Increase the enchantment value on Robes to make up for the inability to equip greaves
- Add non-armour gloves
- Always show how much Magicka a spell will require when crafting the spell
- Improve on-screen buff trackers, they're too large and limited to three. Allow us to see all of the buffs at the same time, the option to disable this would also be nice.
- Old school Heath, Fatigue, and Magicka bar would be nice
- Detect Life's effect is too dull and sparse, maybe just give a glowing outline
- The Shock effect is kinda lacking visually. Shock needs to be more like an actual electrical discharge—crackling, snapping, and sudden. like a violent arc of lightning.
- Allow us to determine the projectile effect of our multi element spells, currently if Frost is involved it will always be a frost effect.
Please add Paul Rudd to the game. Nintendo isn't the only one that can have him
I'm sure these have been said to death but just in case
Dungeon Map
When entering the Map while in a dungeon, I would like it to automatically appear on the dungeon-level map rather than the world map requiring a zoom in. Additionally, many local maps seem to be missing details (entire rooms/paths missing)
Lockpicking
Maybe I'm just very rusty but it feels like the timing of lock picking is a bit off (not consistent across locks)
Favorites
Add the ability to add more favorites. 8 seems limiting, especially for a spell caster. I know this was in the OG game, but perhaps give the ability to add more favorite short cuts
Difficulty
The jump from Adept to Expert is way too large. I'd like an in between, or toggle how much damage I do vs. how much they do to me (e.g., I'm fine with the damage enemies deal on Expert, but every enemy becomes a sponge which isn't great fun)
Spell level
Please add for each spell what level they are (i.e., Novice, Apprentice, etc.). Feel like this is important, and is a nice reflection of spell progression
Love it overall!
Locking seems slightly off to me. Like there's a delay and it's slightly off compared to the og
Please give us a weapon inspect in game on these BEAUTIES!!
Not sure if any of this has been suggested already but it would be great if we could have the option to disable permanent HUD elements. And also maybe an option to make the reticle disappear when weapons are sheathed.
You absolutely need to add suffix "empty" for empy soul gems
I wanna VR this on Playstation since I saw it on YouTube but it's not available 😔
The dpad should be used more in pause menu for convenience. For example In map, why not have up and down on the Dpad swap between quests and moves to that point on the map and then when you click A it selects that quest and you can click again to fast travel. Or press right on dpad to go to quest location without having to find it or go to the quest section and click find on map. Also can I get an NPC?
Better sound effects for rat footsteps would be awesome
If possible, it would be interesting if the Kights of the Nine was level gated like the Dawnguard dlc in Skyrim as it would make it possible to visit the Chapel of Dibella before it is attacked and talk to its residents, as was the case in vanilla Oblivion, beyond making the content better integrated into the world. Other than that, the player houses add-ons that are now included with the remaster should be slightly harder to obtain instead of just being rewarded easily to the player as it breaks character progression otherwise
The Game Pass version is still broken for me. Not just upscaling, I get stutters and fatal crashes that I didn't have before. None of the console command or .ini fixes have worked for me. Please roll back this broken update as soon as possible. Until this happened, it was working great, and I loved it.
rtx on or off?
Having issues when switching between sword and shield to using a bow and having the shield laying on top of the bow.
Hi there.
My main suggestion would be adjusting the difficulty for expert as adept is much to easy and the jump to expert makes enemies way to spongy.
A content suggestion would be a dlc for restoring Kvatch after the main story has ended with more side quests in the town after it has been restored and another guild based on something to do with the town.
Thanks.
When a dungeon, cave, or ruin is completed on the map some form of indication that it's been cleared.
Also it would be nice to have the first person camera/mode for horse riding as Vanilla Oblivion had, instead of only the remastered third person view option, for immersion sake
A gameplay customization menu like what Starfield has would be cool, even if it was just 2 or 3 settings.
+1 Adept is too easy, Expert is too hard
A unique leveled item upgrader? Maybe something similar to how black soul gems are made.
proposal
horse update:
- horse combat
- horse renaming
- a way to call your horse
- also a way to flee horse so they dont get hurt by enemies
Add repeatable quests because it is empty after clearing all quests
Please make it possible for items to respawn
Currently (and on OG oblivion), only food, NPCs and containers respawn
Why?
Vendor shops look empty after you bought/stole all their stuff
Some dungeon items like Varla and Welkynd stones become a limited resource, specially late game
Display cases become empty in guilds after you took the stuff
This was one of the biggest QoL upgrades that happened from Oblivion to Skyrim
don’t know if possible but maybe a way of changing how your body looks, like making a muscular type 2, my character is hand to hand focused and it feels weird when npcs compliment my muscles but im skinny
Make it so dusk and dawnfang upgrade to the correct levelled version when the weapons swap, ideally all weapons would have this but at the very least I’d want it for these
The finisher animations in combat like Skyrim had would be pretty cool if possible.
If possible, it would be nice to make the vampire appearance more unique than just becoming more pale, maybe also give it some extra hand to hand damage (because vampire claws) or other bonus to make the playstyle more distinct or unique
Mod support would be like guaranteeing this game's next 10-15 years of playability (and highly likely new players). So yes, do please try and implement mod support. At least to the limited maximum possible considering the specific nature of a 2-engine game.
a Fix for Shadowhunt and Crimson Eviscerator, both of their Weakness to Poison has no Duration making it useless
Shadowhunt's Turn Undead no Duration
and since Dagger goes off Agility not strength, Crimson should have its Absorb Agility not Absorb Strength
Can you PLEASE add variable speed to the movement with controller on PC? There is no variable speed for movement on controller. Either you walk a snails pace, or your run super fast (depending on your speed level).
Suggestion - Hire more people to read all these suggestions.
Bring more saturation back to the game because it doesn’t feel the same. The game feels way too brown.
Something akin to this mod, and make it a toggle option for those that don’t want it so everyone is happy.
Ayleid reshade is a reshade preset made to experience glorious visuals by reclaiming the colors and light of the original The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Being able to put Multiple enchantments on a Single Item? even with the possibility of it being weaker, if 1 soul gem is used, or only specific number of soul gems allowed to be used
Even Being able to enchant some arrows could be good. maybe in groups of 8 or 16 for a grand soul gem.
Hey, probably posted a ton here already, any idea on a physical release of this game for both consoles? 😊
edit: I just joined this discord, so I don’t know 🤷🏽♂️
Change it to fifteen virtues per level but increase the luck to 5 points. It would be the same as perfect levelling in oblivion.
Why can't you character dualwield daggers or swords? 🙄
A way to see your buffs and debuffs in the character screen.
this game could use some holiday scorched
Unique items should level with you, not be stuck at a low level if you decided to do a questline early
So it appears that the border regions are disabled in Oblivion - you can explore the landscape of other provinces. Please leave at as is. DO NOT block the borders. It's easily changeable on PCs, but not on consoles. https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/1k7qy1r/apparently_you_can_just_leave_cyrodiil/
Bound Arrows for the bound bow
I've seen NPCS cast "Bound bow" but they cant do anything since wizards/mages do not carry arrows ever.
A Primary example of this is the High Elf in the Mystic Emporium, she'll cast it and stand there
Using the persuasion system on followers like the battlehorn castle guards
I tend to accidentally hit them in combat every now and then and it lowers their disposition so they frown at me whenever I talk to them, it'd be nice to just be able to raise disposition with them.
more horse armor
More Skooma!
Aside from adding Paul Rudd as a playable character (real request btw), please add multiplayer.
Because its Oblivion. Thats how it was
+1 to difficulty changes, damage dealt on adept is perfect and damage taken on expert is (usually) perfect, combine the two. The jump from adept to expert is far too extreme. This is an extreme priority in my opinion since it affects the entire game and can't be dealt with for console players like me.
It's a pipe dream but if they do do content updates I hope they add Gideon, it should be touching the map edge
Add a mirror to player owned houses so that we can change our hairstyles and facial features.
Separate difficulty sliders for damage taken and damage dealt would be amazing!
-# Probably been mentioned a million times already, but it would make the game twice as fun for me :')
Mod support for series x please. I love this game and being able to make tweaks or add content that lets me enjoy its even more. (Something to fix up my bretons face, camping, perk overhauls, more fashion, etc). Ironically the games been makin me miss skyrim a little but i want to enjoy all the quests and world of oblivion.
Would it be possible to make shield bashing available at Journeyman Block instead of Expert, please? 30 hours into the game at level 60 Block, having completed the Arena and started on the Fighter's Guild, I genuinely thought it wasn't in the game. Sword and shield combat feels incredibly lacking without it, and we shouldn't have to grind Block in the Battlehorn training room for a dozen hours to unlock it.
Being able to swap between the new HUD/UI and the one from the 06 version of the game with the persistently on screen health/magika/stamina bars in the bottom left would be neat.
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/793?tab=description
E for interact has a mod now
Add repeatable quests in different guilds
for the love of god please fix the difficulty the difference between adept and expert is ruining it for me 😿
I hope they change it so weakness to magic stacks with damage. Such a pain to switch between spells applying weakness to each enemy without D-Pad quick slots
Rats in Anvil 👍
Please add german voice , like in the original
When the player character is over encombered, Oblivion Remaster will continuously spam the "You are Over Encumbered" message top-left until you solve it.
It's very annoying and I do not need infinite reminders that I am over-encumbered.
Increasing the distance between messages rather than immediately back to back spam would be better quality of life.
The missing Synchronisations beside English is a big downer for many people. I have no real hope that this is a thing we can expect in future tbh but at least I wanted to drop this here…
Not because the synchronizations were so great but they are a huge nostalgia thing which this remaster is all about for many of us.
We need a Language pack.
Being able to see my current weight while im in looting screens would be nice. Also maybe being able to see the alchemy effects when hovering over ingredients? Maybe thats too intrusive probably more of a mod thing but i cant get those
If an update arrives there should be changelog with bugfixes and changes that happened.
I noticed the Oblivion remastered stutters a lot as time goes on. Quitting the game to main menu and reloading the save fixes it. I was playing for over 12 hours lol. Steam version
Remove the limitation of potion , you can only drink 6 potions... It is not enough
Please fix surround sound and perhaps add HDR support. Regarding surround sound, 5.1 isn't enough. While we may be a smaller crowd, some of us still run true blue dedicated speaker setups. I run 7.2.4, some run 9.2.4, 11.2.4, or even higher (11.4, 13.4, 15.4, etc). 5.1 surround is broken as it sits currently and requires weird workarounds to get any proper directional panning outside of stereo. Atmos/DTS:X additions would be very welcome, but at least give us 7.1 so we can virtualize the rest of our speakers 😃
It would be great if we got first person horse riding back
Should be able to turn off ray tracing entirely
Add Sutch
2 handed weapons need reworking they are too slow or weak to justify being used. The dps is significantly worse than one handed weapons. They either need a swing speed increase or damage increase
Please bring in a similar difficulty menu to Starfield https://i.redd.it/vqmqaga83uxc1.png
I joined this discord to say this 😄 I was excited to dive into Oblivion for the first time properly but the difficulty is ruining the experience for me. Yes exploration and lore are the thing but game feels bad to play with these difficulty options imho. Game looks gorgeous though.
Side note, it would be nice to get some UI customization options, would be nice to travel to locations relying on instructions etc
literally my experience as well, i miss the og difficulty slider😿
I think leveling is far too quick now
Rebuilding kvatch back to its former glory needs to be a thing.
Hello, any news on the gamepass upscaling issue?
Add repeatable quests in different guilds because when you clear all quests the game is empty
Idk if this should go here, but there's a weird particle/texture glitch with a lot of items, like around Oblivion gates, Ayleid doors (the inside ones) and a lot of weapons where whatever the particle is probably supposed to be is replaced with like, a weird distorted line, varies with the color it's supposed to be, but it's still weird, so hopefully it's fixed
I want to have the Emperor's Robes and Ring of Spectre without console commands (since I'm on PS5 and don't have them). If you want to put it in the creation club, that's fine. Also display mannequins in some of the larger houses. I feel bad asking for Skyrim stuff in Oblivion, but there were some QOL improvements.
Edit: NVM on ring, apparently the spectre ring is fixed
Hello, I'm living in a state of shock after entering a command to activate DLSS as part of the best gaming conditions. My archives are disabled.
Could you please locate the commands that disable achievements?
You and we know the commands that break the game. I don't want to be limited by such drastic restrictions.
Please keep in mind this channel for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Talks, and questions in #oblivion-chat
SUGGESTION: Photomode. In my opinion every good looking open-world RPG should have a PM. There is no need to add a perfect "DeathStranding"-like Photomode. Some emotes/poses, hide-ui and maybe a few filter would do the job.
Daily reminder:
add a tail hole in the armor for argonians . That is all!
This might be asking too much, but Lycanthropy, similar to Morrowind where you can't control your transformations.
I would love to see a DLC that rebuilds Kvatch. Maybe intergrate that as a settlement build mode but in a more hearthfire way if needs be.
Let us rebuild and control the city, being given the title of ruler of the city for our role in saving it. (I've wanted this since the OG game)
Re-implement needing silver or enchanted weapons to harm ghosts and daedra. You even kept in the loading screen tip that says you need them!
"Some creatures, like ghosts, are immune to normal weapons. Use a silver, daedric or magic weapon instead."
But I have been killing imps, scamps and ghosts (it was ones summoned by a mage in a dungeon) with a normal steel mace. Stop this skryim-isation of gameplay!! Bring it back!!!! Thank you
You never needed a silver weapon to kill imps and scamps in vanilla Oblivion either, only ghosts
Likewise. Silver and Enchanted weaponry should be the only thing able to damage them. And Silver should do bonus damage to Vampires, though I have not tested this yet.
If that happens, I demand we erect a statue of Martin in front of the temple of Akatosh .
Also, it would be nice to just have leveled human/mer combatants in radiant arena quests for the Kvatch arena.
Also add the command console to the consoles. I don't think it would be that complicated to add and there are people who like to experiment with certain things.
I love that idea
ADD OPTION FOR MAP TO GO TO RECENT ZOOM LEVEL instead of always zooming back iut upon reentering the map menu PLEASE.
More graphical options to be able to dial in settings with the game engine and optimizations for PC performance please 🙂 its all over the place tons of people talking about it on steam forum and game pass.
Otherwise so far stuffs been amazing.
I would add a bike, cause running looks silly
Please give the game a physical release
Could also change things up a bit.
Make it so that although the gates are sealed, there remain small micro tears in the barrier between realms and occasionally there will be one big enough for a single small gate to be opened into Cyrodiil.
A new faction, based in Kvatch and headed by the old guard leader, is founded to track and close these gates. (Controled by the player like those in Battlehorn.)
This is good for gameplay too as it give please access to farm these again.
Add mod support on console and add the imperial watch armor
-Console Mod support
-Improve the performance FPS drops
-Classic color option
-Fix the difficulty(add a difficulty between adept and expert or damage slider)
-Horse first person(and bug fix when lookong below name appears) more horse armors
-Add more creatures/NPCs in the world to feel more Alive
-Mirror owned houses to change face hair etc/ add height to characters creator
-Unique items should level up with us
-Kill ghosts and other creatures only with magic weapon etc
-Rebuild Kvatch
-After complet dungeon/cave or ruin map icon of cleared/finished
-Bring back extra weapon attacks
-Improve the running/sprinting animation
Thanks that should make the perfect game for everybody
Hello Bethesda, I have to say that you did a really good job with the Oblivion remaster. I do miss the German dialogue and the performance drops in some places, but other than that it's a good game. Things that were missing in the original game could be added to the remastered version, like the rebuilding of Kvatch or the original Oblivion there was also a mod that continues the storyline of Knight of the Nine, namely: Knight's of the Nine Revelation. It would be exciting to bring this mod to the official game, as you can, among other things, be there for the fall of the Ayleid Empire and it's generally very exciting. In my opinion, these two mods would be a good way to add even more excitement and fill in what was missing. Of course the game also seems very empty once you've finished the game, perhaps you could at least include more repetitive quests like in Skyrim.
For the love of God tweak the difficulty settings in this game, I am having no fun on expert taking 30 minutes trying to kill a single bandit while I die if he manages to land 2 blows on me. If I switch to adept I can just stand still while he rips into me and my health bar barely moves. The jump between these 2 settings should not be anywhere near this severe. Please at the very least add separate options allowing us to mix and match damage taken and damage dealt modifiers.
Please please prioritize fixing the difficulty jump from adept to expert over anything else, you either absolutely roll the enemies or get rolled by them on these difficulties.
Please make the change to ensure quest items are clearly marked, or not sellable.
Analogue movement speed pleaaase. I'm either zipping all over the place or walking at a snails pace.
Town down the bulkiness on some of the armour seems a bit more bulky than originally big example of this is the default imperial set especially helmet.
Also change the imperial watch plume back to black pleassseee
And some character creator improvements would be nice because I can’t make my character look like my original character
Back on the armour topic some of the stuff (mostly legs and shoulders) looks undersized/oversized compared to the original and it kinda breaks the flow of some sets
THIS
Is a member of staff even viewing this channel to begin with? Some kind of response or recognition would be nice.
Some official way to enhance unique (leveled) gear would be good to see, like hermit blacksmith or smth who can upgrade unique gear for gold and some resources
Blackwoods Armor needs a retexture, in its current state it's almost identical to generic steel armor compared to the unique blackened steel texture it had in the original Oblivion.
There needs to be a way to level up leveled items.
Legendary each skill so that we can keep on levelling up would be a nice ability to have.
Also, a spell for changing the weather. This one isn't a thing everyone would use but I can't be alone in enjoying chilling in a game and just listening to the rain and thunderstorms.
Please remove the text that keeps popping up when I use an enchanted weapon that is out of charge. I’m using it anyway because it’s still my best sword; you only need to tell me it’s out of charge once, not every dang time I attack an enemy.
Hand to hand is not really great anymore in the remaster. The removal of fortify fatigue for damage + no knockout means its the worst lategame ability. It's fine in adept, but does not scale into expert really at all. If hand to hand damage could get boosted past 100 in hand to hand, this could be one way to scale, if you guys want to keep the fatigue system gone. Also bring back the knockouts please:). Any other cool stuff like heavy armor gloves adding to the damage (like in skyrim), or just any way to really scale the damage after you've capped strength or hand to hand would be awesome.
Katanas should appear on our backs like they do with Jauffre
Please fix the jump from adept to expert difficulty. Expert difficulty is insanely hard, while adept is way too easy, there is no in between.
Just joined to ask to please put an option to have the original color palette (or just less brown!). I am on PS5 and I cannot install the Ayleid reshade mod, which looks amazing. Thanks.
I have a suggestion, you could fix the goblin wars mechanic within the remaster
I believe Jauffre is using a 2h katana, that's why his is on the back.
Reset skills after level max
Maybe showing my Skyrim as first ElderScrolls age here, but equipping magic similar to a weapon would be cool. I loved how you could equip different spells to different hands and combine them with dual wield in some cases. May make mage only builds more immersive?
Download one of the mods that enable achievements even if using the console...
I would really like some form of inworld fast travel to be in the game. Like boat rides that can take you between Imperial City/ Bravil/ Leyawiin. Also carriages for other cities and maybe mages guild guides.
I would just be nice to be able to fast travel in immersive way without using the map.
Has anyone suggested a fix for the enemy level scaling? Maybe make it a difficulty setting?
Todd if you're reading these, i love you. You were my childhood goat and still is.
That's one thing I think quite a few people hated, myself included. Loved playing a Battlemage in OG Oblivion and then hated Skyrim taking my Shield away if I wanted to use my spells.
Does anyone know that if all stats are maxed, is it like original oblivion where you get super speed and super jump?
You know I feel it’s kind of a niche thing of mine but I’d like stairs on the stupidly steep hill roads. Just for aesthetic. Like worn steep stone steps that add nothing but flavor to the roads.
Secondly for the sprint animation to take the angle of the terrain into account and straighten up a bit. It’s kind of hilarious watching my character drag their face in the gravel when I’m going up steep hills but only for so long. You start to feel sad for them.
would be great to have goblin wars back, or even expanded on
Oh was that the case? I thought you could equip anything in one hand and a spell in the other? If not makes perfect sense.
Can vampires be fixed? it makes no sense that vampires get WEAKER from drinking blood.
Outside of a few Elder Scrolls Titles Vampires always get Stronger with Blood not weaker, in ESO vampires get stronger with blood not weaker, why cant it be the same with Oblivion?
Hide helm option!! 🙌
race heights seem to be bugged? Did i miss something in char. creation or why is my Altmer smaller than a imperial?
I think changing weapon stands in player homes to a container like it is in Skyrim would be a major upgrade. It’s very difficult to display weapons on them due to hit boxes colliding often
I'd like to suggest a change to the leveled rewards, to maintain balance without making the rewards unleveled: An upgrade system, similar to how the Knights of the Nine set can be upgraded to match the player's level, by placing it on its stand. I want to see this system across all leveled rewards, perhaps with a more refined approach, like a special forge that uses something like Sigil Stones found in Oblivion, which can be used to turn the reward into a higher version once you reach a certain level. That way, you don't need to make things unleveled and throw things off balance, keeping your power level the same instead of having to wait until a certain level, to do the game's amazing quests.
I meant in Oblivion for a Battlemage I'd run a Sword and a Shield whilst also throwing spells. In Skyrim it took this away making you have it in your hand.
Though a middle ground for both camps could be as follows:
Have equipping it set it as your active spell as it does within Oblivion, but holding the equip button allows you to select a hand to equip it to.
Putting it in your hand could give a 25% damage bonus, and could combine if you put it in both hands.
( Xbox ) What the hell is with this game, completed a quest, saved the game, next time I use Continue the game puts me back before the completed quest and the game save does not exist.
I like it! Would offer a further range of play styles. I am loving the spell system so far, so much depth. I think this would only reinforce what’s good about both!
Add mod support on console and add the imperial watch armor
Lewayiin Chapel side exists are swapped, same as in the original. This needs fixing
That’s the way some vampires in the Elder Scrolls work. Feeding keeps you more mortal/human so vampiric abilities are suppressed. If you forgo feeding you gain stronger powers at the cost of having higher weaknesses and a more vampiric appearance.
German Dub would be nice👌
In the alchemy tab, mortar and pestles should be separated from ingredients so we don't have to scroll through a bunch to be able to do alchemy
Poison trivializes ALL difficulties. I’m playing on expert and only level 5 and killing every enemy with 2-4 applications of super weak and extremely easy to make poisons. Maybe give every race a base poison resist if they don’t already. I like that it’s strong it just feels too strong atm
The roads feel super empty. Wandering NPCs or merchants would bring some life into the game. Going a step further, the wandering merchants could be special ones like shady Sam, selling unique items. This would add another incentive to traveling/exploring.
In the original version of Oblivion, fortifying your Fatigue beyond your max amount, would contribute an increase in your physical damage. Systems like this makes fortify fatigue spells, enchantments, and potions more valuable for melee characters. I would love to see this brought back for the remaster.
Better information on Soul Gems if they are filled or not.
Mod support for consoles is the most important thing ! Then Execution animations like in Skyrim would be very nice! More travelers on the rosds and townsfolk would make the world more alive. Maybe blood textures on the characters...longer attack combos for the two handed weapons would be nice too! 🙂 you did a great job so far !
A toggle so soul gems only trap their size soul would be amazing.
Also setting books and scrolls apart from the rest of the miscellaneous inventory
Suggestion - Update DLSS to DLSS 4, also patch the game pass version so you can change upscaling settings and so you aren't locked out of also changing anti aliasing settings too...
Patch notes are a MUST also. Don't just send updates without telling anyone literally anything about any of the updates..
The new leveling system should be changed for spells, you can level up with spells way too easily imo. I have destruction at level 100 and im not even level 15
As well as sub-categories for potions and ingredients
Oh and do Morrowind also ! Please ! I can not bring myself to playing the original for long. Because of the fight-system. But I would love to play it with modern graphics etc.
Weekly Arena quest with Ysabel should be updated on the quest telling you when it's available.
More hair for all races in at least character creation. As well as beard and mustache variety. I ask for console players.
Oh, and have Gwendoline Christie voice Mazoga the Orc
Haggle button should be on both Buy and Sell menus.
The Jeweled Necklace is not jeweled at all
If you examine the necklace and rotate it around you'll see that it does have tiny diamonds in a circle around the rim of the amulet.. but they should definitely be made bigger
Add a button to recharge an enchanted weapon when viewing the weapon in the inventory. Searching your inventory for each individual soul gem is tedious.
This one for me is kind of serious:
Lower Skill level for Shield bash to journeyman
In its place add the shield sprint knock down from Skyrim
Add timed blocks where if timed right it does the typical block recoil but adds a 1-2 second slow effect to enemies and if done and timed right with shield bash has a chance to disarm enemies. The disarm chance could even be added to adept level.
I'd love to see a slide and mantle added.
I know Call of Duty is far from what this is but a system like it's new Omnidirectional movement system with the sliding would make combat so much more fluid, though I would wonder if that'd be better for ES6 if it had enemies that could be a bit faster or have attacks you want to quickly avoid.
Mantling would be great for Roleplaying the thief and or assassin.
(Also would love to see a 'this is sparta' kick)
I would love a way to make vampires easier to play for people who want that but have it be optional so people can play vampires original style if they want
radiant quests would be good just little ones for the guilds like in skyrim
Add performance mode for Xbox
If you've already given the beggar a coin, add an option where you'll offer to teach them to fish/hunt.
Please add in German voiceover, it's so sad that it wasn't brought over from the original!
a suggestion regarding Weapons! Im in love with the weapons and that you added movesets (especially shortsword is cool) But since i play Longsword and shield alot, could you maybe add a thrust/Stab charged attack for Longswords? Really helps the immersion you know, since swords have a pointy end 🙂 (would love to see this on the Greatsword weapon too)
It’s been said before but I’ll say again: a face sculptor option. The urge to start a character again is so frustrating just to tweak something slightly….
Maybe it’s some elder scroll themed quest in that time is altered…or it’s literally a face sculptor lol
I miss the german voice over aswell my friend is playing the OG version and its so more nostalgic
Add I-Frames to the dodge. It’s only works about 50-60% of the time.
Make dodge cost a percentage of fatigue. Something like 15-25% so it can’t be spammed
Could even recruit them into one of the factions you are in charge of. It'd make more sense with the thieves guild but having all gives options. You could also have them move into one of your homes or hire them on as a companion.
If you donate 20000 gold to a beggar, he become's rich and buys you house in that city
lol just get yourself the free castle
Okay they’re not re inventing the game bro.
I second the face sculptor suggestion! My first like 5 hours of the game was just looking at my character in different lighting and armors to see how it looks with my face and reloading the prison exit save to tweak it. I'm still not 100% content with it but I had to just get out and start exploring.
I think being able to edit your character's face after the beginning is a must in any modern game as it's a huge and permanent commitment, and some things wrong with the appearance you only notice only after many hours of play, and then it'll be bothersome for the rest of the game
Also being able to display weapons in the houses would be cool
Ranger clothing / Cloaks
You beautiful people added cloth physics to this game. Let me be Aragorn in fellowship with a swooshy long coat. That is all.
thats a thing no? there is display cases in the skingrad house can you not put them there?
They should add armour stands though
Hello. Some suggestions for developers
-
As I said yesterday please on consoles increase the font size, on a 55 inch the large option is really small.
-
When the reflections option is activated on Xbox series X, a strange effect is displayed around the character's weapon when the view frames the water.
Thanks for the support
Going forward for new characters (once they leave the sewers), please track how many level ups from a trainer the character received for that character's playthrough.
Then allow any character to level up with a trainer up to their maximum number of available trainer level ups remaining, up to the character's current level. This way players don't feel forced to level up at a trainer at every level (to avoid wasting their trainer level-ups).
(this allows players to level up their character at any level, on their schedule)
The needles of the sequoia's in the black forest are the one thing that is too green, should be darker, like it was in the original.
And add clickable bookshelves like in Skyrim to place books there
-
We need an option to tone down the Khajit beard! I love the fluff but unless your character is a darker colour it stands out SO MUCH. Or an option to remove it?
-
I’m aware this IS oblivion (and I’m an OG player) and not Skyrim/other rpgs but I’d love more customisation options. Scars, tattoos etc.
-
character weight on display when picking up items somehow?
-
a way to rescale items? Or at least daedric artefacts.
-
can I name my horse? Or remove the “my _____ horse” whenever I’m riding it. Plz…
I would very much like a Photo Mode to be added to Oblivion Remastered at some point.
I did think about having them in your home, but the idea to recruit them for the thieves guild is brilliant as they supposedly already work for the Grey Fox.
- Radiant quests from guilds
- Armour stands
- Edit character option
- Photo mode
- Console mod support in future
- cloaks maybe?
A sigil stone that negates 25% sun damage would be nice plus giving up four gear slots has some balance plus would still need to feed to enter society plus you could still play original vampire if you wanted to thanks for the amazing game btw
Just mod support, that is all.
Patch notes and also please look at unofficial oblivion patch's fixes, there's a lot of stuff they fixed that is broken in the game
Literally easy way to fix the game up, cheat sheet is already there
Give a sneak attack multiplier for two-handed weapons, like how it was in the original Oblivion. Stabbing someone with a claymore or whacking someone in the back of the head with a hammer in stealth shouldn't hurt less than it would with a one-handed one, and removing this only reduces options.
I understand and do appreciate the bonus given to specifically daggers unlike in the original where they had no extra bonus, as it does encourage that classic assassin style.
I take back what I said earlier about how green it is. I'm in black wood right now. It does not need to be greener.
Foliage can still sometimes be too sparse though
Please keep in mind this channel for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Additionally, we ask that you do not post the same suggestion more than once as this is considered spamming. Thanks!
- End-game's rebalance improving gameplay after you get the daedric eq adding some kind of additional mechanical progression system, like leveling skills over 100 with special legendary perks trees or something. Maybe special equpiment quests after reaching a certain skill level and finishing specific questlines to get unique armors and weapons better than daedric deep in the late-game.
- Marking visited locations on your map as visited.
- Adding a very costly luxurious villa in the Imperial City after finishing the main questline.
- Big side questline about rebuilding Kvatch (and investing tons of septims into it, like hundreds of thousands to finish all the projects) and becoming its new ruler.
- Adding a marriage and family system :ppp
Thats probably most i would like to add to previously mentioned things. Thanks guys for this remaster and have fun everyone!
Would a new game plus be possible?
UI Suggestion: Classic option where the Health/Magicka/Fatigue bars are all together at the bottom left like in the original. Also, option to remove the crosshair.
Difficulty settings adjustment please,
We really need that middle ground between Adept and expert.
- please update the alchemy menu so u can click on the big ingredient icons to remove or add ingredients
- add some verticality to the head tracking on third person, i think a lot of times the running animation looks odd because the character is looking down when walking uphill or something
Adding a super powerful set of robes to give insensitive to playing a mage in robes and not always armour
Add the option in character creation to rotate the eyes please ! You can't do it in the current character creation
Me and some buddies were out for drinks last night and Oblivion Remastered came up in conversation. Everybody collectively agreed that the new colour palette looks really bland in some places compared to the original and that an overall saturation boost would greatly improve the experience. We would love to see you add either a classic filter option or else an attempt to make the grass greener in some specific areas. The places that need this the most are The Heartlands, The West Wield and The Great Forest I think. OG Oblivion had such a specific colour palette and without it the game respectfully doesn’t feel like Oblivion anymore. I really hope this can be fixed 💚
Bug report: I'm still seeing oblivion gates spawn in the countryside, even though I still have the Amulet of Kings in my pocket
Suggestion: could we have subcategories in the inventory? For example, the alchemy tab really needs like... potions / ingredients / tools (or whatever you want to call it) categories
A key chain for the bazillion keys would also be a huge QoL upgrade
(fwiw, channel says "suggestions and feedback", bug report is a type of feedback)
I would love to see a feature (and I’m sorry I forget what it’s called) where you can have the properties of one helmet but change the look of it. I like to play third person but this helmet I got from the fighters guild (it’s like a sabertooth skull) is kind of distracting.
Option in character creation to select between the new and old voice actors for each race. I adore the new Khajiit voices and would love to be able to use them!
And this has already been said but I'll say it too, let us take off the Abe Lincoln beards from Khajiit. Plus making hair color be separate from fur color would be really nice too.
What I would love is a forge feature where lets say you place a quest reward and the forge would level it up to your current level etc
Given the cost of Luck in terms of virtues (4 virtue for 1 luck Stat point), the Thief stone seems very overpowered at +10 luck.
Please rebalance it to be +5 luck for new characters only.
use https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135 to submit your bug please
Thrown fireballs will sometimes stick to surfaces and will remain there for eternity
i personaly would love to see the imperial palace armor being added to the game as an armor set you can get i dont want to use a mod to get it i want it to be aquired from the imperial palace guards when i kill them
Add performance mode for eggbawk
I’d like to change this by adding cost reduction to dodge and a distance boost based off acrobatics on
add torchbugs and butterflies as ingredients, just like skyrim has
maybe even things like bees and even the new roaches
Don't know if it's maybe a bug but all the player races seem to be exactly the same height. I'm currently playing a male Altmer and it's the same height as imperials and dwarved by his own race. If this isn't a bug I'd like to see player character models the same height as others of their race like in OG oblivion
After clearing dungeons make them show cleared on the map
I have two main wishes above anything else. First and most importantly I'd LOVE to see this game come to the Switch 2 at some point. Secondly I would love for there to be radiant quests added. Things that give it a more "living world" kind of feel after you complete everything else. And I think that these days it's possible to add a lot more and be more complex than Skyrim was.
Beyond that I think it would be cool to see survival mode. I think it would also be neat to see a marriage mechanic added in, like what Skyrim had. And lastly I think it would be cool, yet also not really all that important, for them to add in an adoption mechanic. Like the one in Skyrim. I get that these are unlikely and some are difficult to implement, but if they were able to pull it all off then it might take The Witcher 3's spot as my favorite game.of all time.
I would love for there to be an easier way to see what kind of soul is inside a filled soul gem from the inventory, especiall since the "show details" hotkey never likes staying open while recharging
Different symbols on the local map in towns to see what a store is. Also the ability to set symbols on the world map like set a oblivion gate as finished
Have multiple messages appear below each other, rather than one mesage per screen. When there's too many messages queued, some appear on screen well after the fact, especially when periodical messages such as "over-encumbered" clog the queue
I’d like a detailed outline as to how this channel works exactly. does it matter? Who’s looking at it? How are you logging the suggestions? Is anybody looking at it at all? Is this just engagement bait? How do you intend to implement suggestions? What is the roadmap?
Introduce unique icons for effects that share them, e.g. cure poison and cure disease.
levelled equipment. please let me reroll uniques
Mountaintops next to Leyawiin are covered in snow (and also green broadleaved trees). Looks like the snow line was simply places above a certain height. The original didn't have this. There shouldn't be any snow in the mountains next to Leyawiin (or Bravil, I've seen it there as well)
We need the following:
-
A Reshade toggle that brings back the classic color palette for both PC and Consoles. - At this point the colors are too brownish, there is a mod that fixes that on PC called Ayeld Reshade but we need that on Consoles too. - This is critical and will make it from a 9 game to a 10/10
-
Fix the difficulty - this is also a must do. Easy mode is to easy hard is to hard
-
Possibility to disable fast travel and add a carriage system as in Skyrim since outside of each City there is a stable - this would make the game more explorable let's say. Would encourage exploration
-
Add Morrowind like journal entries and disable the quest marker. That would bring the game to a whole other level.
-
Add a a hardcore mode - Eat, Drink, Sleep and Diseases. - This would justify in game the existence of inns.
-
Add some clouds and a bit of a fog for distant landscapes - that would give the impression of scale
Add all of these ass optional toggles.
Options 1 and 2 and 6 in my opinion are must implements and for options 3 to 5 I would pay 20 euros extra.
Also if you could bring mods to consoles that would give life to the game for another 10 extra years. - That would be the GOAT, there are mutliple suggestions that I could make and you could implement given time and money but all of that could be done by the community if mods would be avialable on consoles too. - Please don't let us down.
God Bless you Bethesda!
Quick weapon swap on console. Let me just tap L1 to switch to my previous weapon

please make an update that will enable character to attack on a horse
Please give the ability to hit dead enemies like in the original its not great now that after you kill them they basically become invisible with no hit detection.
Add a way to know if a dungeon was completed
I’m positive this has been said a lot of times, but I’ll add one to the count: please add a photo mode.
This is a stunning game. Let us capture beautiful memories with a native photo mode.
Master difficulty is fine but I think hand to hand needs a major buff. Make the 25 point perk scale with gauntlet armor rating like Skyrim. Also make alteration armor buff boost hand to hand. Alteration should be a core monk skill. Otherwise hand to hand is not viable on master.
Coming in here to add my voice to many others: Official VR support! UEVR mostly works, but some quality of life stuff directly from the developer will make it way more accessible. UEVR Perf requirement is astronomical
Would like an option for leveling quest rewards like the one given for Knights of the Nine dlc items.
I have a sugestion to localise the map... I have polish version of the game, yet the map of cyrodiil have an english naming on it... And i have to find a place where "rzeka Larius wpływa do zatoki" and i have no idea looking at the map cause map is in english -_-
PS - I should've taken my og physical map with me from my family house... it was in polish
NavMeshes seem to not have been updated to include the many tiny new objects. Many NPCs get stuck when faced with these tiny obstacles, even those that only walk a predetermined route, like the Forlorn Watchman (but I've seen others do the same)
Oh, and another nitpicking: light silhouettes from the windows is nice, but for this feature to be complete, it has to move across the floor during the day
@low relic Aaaah thanks! In that case. Can we get official mod support on console like we do for Skyrim, Starfield and Fallout 4? Thanks!
Please do not spam the same suggestion.
Make arrows weightless
when you sheath your weapon it should place your shield on your back instead of staying in your off hand
Ability to edit character appearance mid game
Separate tab for potions in the inventory
I would love it if conversations entered in 3rd person mode stayed in 3rd person the way they do in skyrim, while 1st person did the classic oblivion zoom in.
I have seen nonstop talk about difficulty. I would love to see them base difficulty if they do decide to update it off of Starfield. The settings for difficulty in Starfield are very nice and I would like control over every aspect of difficulty to the damage I take to the damage I do and the damage enemies do how much health they get just full modularity and player freedom would be great to have for the difficulty.
I'd like to see an update that removes weight from arrows and repair hammers. Or, a toggle option in accessibility that disables arrow and repair hammer weight.
allow me to recharge enchanted weapons like in Skyrim where I can just hover over it in the inventory click a hotkey like 'T' and view all my filled soul gems and recharge my weapon from there, instead of having to go into the cluttered inventory look for the specific soul gem that is filled and individually recharge my weapon with 1 petty soul gem and have to go back into the inventory and then charge it again, again and again this is such a chore, especially since enchants run out in about 5 attacks
Please keep in mind this channel is for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Personally I would love a DODGE/ROLL button. Not sure if there is one. New to Elder scrolls but I absolutely love it so far. Enemies doing the same would be cool
DIFFICULTY I'd like the option to not take as much damage just like the easier setting but NOT be able to kill enemies in one hit
An option to have your horse respawn near you would be awsome. Like a whistle or maybe an actual call horn
Fighting style (sword swing animation) choice would be sick
Please allow us to put individual spells on the Xbox dpad like we could in the original. The new system is distracting and slows down gameplay. Thanks!
- A setting to disable the stealth vignette similar to the low health one would be great.
- Better pop up window control - let us navigate with wasd (chossing yes or no, time slider for waiting time) and let us confirm it with the interact button
Add performance mode for Xbox
- Add a face sculptor and barber(appearance change) like Galathil in Skyrim ✂️
About the hotkey wheel, simply allowing us to move our character while the wheel is open would be enough. As the left stick isn't used for the wheel, there's no reason it should stop us in our tracks.
Additional option could be adding hotkeys 1-8 assignable in button mapping settings like in many games, and this would mirror how it was in the original. It would require allowing combo input assignments though to have all 8 hotkeys be able to be covered with just 4 d-pad buttons.
Please add a "Take" button when picking up books from the ground, or at least allow people to use E instead of Enter. Or customize said keybind.
It definitely was part of the original. Even them following you while invisible or 100% chameleon
I liked to play dual wielding builds in Skyrim and I think the same system would perfectly fit Oblivion. I think adding dual wielding won't break the game balance if this will be implemented in the same way as in Skyrim. Maybe tie this ability to reaching of some level of Acrobatics.
UI width slider for Super Ultrawide users. It’s hard to read things in the far off corners. A slider to make everything match the 16:9 or 21:9 monitors would be great
This remake is a damn dream come true for me. Oblivion was probably my most beloved game and now it looks incredible on current gen. I have two requests:
PLEASE consider bringing this to PSVR2. Modders have already got it working well on pcvr.
I want to be IN Cyrodiil, ON Nirn.
#2 Please allow more UI customization. I've been really enjoying the use of trail signs and glancing at the map, I'm not a fan of having a marker in my face showing me exactly where to go all the time.
Please patch the difficulty. Jump between Adept and Expert is ridiculous. Adept is no brainer easy and expert turns the game into a chore. FIX THE DIFFICULTY
Please keep in mind this channel is for suggestions and feedback only! If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Allow us to block with a shield when no weapons are drawn
Please try not to spam the same suggestions.
-
remove map markers for everything until you have discovered it
-
add horse carts for fast traveling to places you have yet to discover or even better make it the only mode of fast travel so you have to pay for the convenience of not running there - could even have random encounters like dragons dogma 2 where you can get attacked on the way
and/or
- make it so fast travelling from the map costs money (this should be default imo but could be turned off as an option) - this is because every upside should come with a down side and paying for a massive convenience like fast travel is one of them
Please adjust the difficulty scaling from Adept to Expert. Playing on Adept is way too easy and Expert is nearly impossible. I’m level 11 and just headshot a goblin 27 times with a dwarven bow on Expert. Trying to fight anything more than a 1v1 is nearly impossible
Official modding support for xbox (console in general)😅
Jump and Attack at the same time
Some positive feedback:
The lighting is incredible, I set the brightness to - 3 so that I have to use a torch in dark areas and I fricken love it. Light beaming in from windows contrasted by the yellow red glow of a fire 👌
I noticed that if I travel the same path several times, I don't get attacked every single time, the game seems to know that I've been that route and cleared it therefore encounters are much less frequent. Which I LOVE.
So far I haven't fast traveled once because I like the RP of riding from village to village naturally like in RDR2 and fast travel when I just really need to.
Not sure if that was intentional but I love that!
This channel is for suggestions only. if you wish to discuss someone's idea, please do so in #oblivion-chat
You kind of can already so to add to yours I’d suggest jumping SPECIFIC attacks
If you would like to report a bug, please let us know by ticket here: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/home/product/1402/oblivionrecat/287/feedback/1135
Ability to respect skill but keep the perks if we want to increase level without jail hence not make the skills chosen random
Would be cool to hear the sound of rain when inside buildings
The hist sap quest for the fighters guild should have more psychedelic effects. I vaguely remember this quest having a purple tone to it on original copies.
We need som optimisation on ps5 the open world stuttering is unreal
And a way to change appearance
there is a mod for skyrim that has ships moving on lakes and in the ocean/sea - this seems like a simple addation to make the world feel more alive
Fast travel while exceeding weight limit would be great. Kind of annoying to leave loot in one spot and have to fast travel back and forth to store it/sell it. (I'm a loot hoarder)
Please Add the German Voice Output to Oblivion Remastered Version ♥️
Two Words: Horse Marker.
Personally I feel some of the weapon types were slowed down too much, which doesn't align with the original spirit. I love that there are now weapon-type-specific animations, but limiting claymores to a slow two-hit combo I don't think is the ideal. In the original they were slower than one-handed weapons but far from sluggish.
Such weapons costing much more Fatigue could be a fair balance, and give more use for Fatigue potions which feel almost totally unnecessary now with the way Fatigue regeneration and its influence on damage has been reworked. Perhaps Fatigue potions and spells should give a rapid restore over time effect instead of an instant refill.
Add cooking. It's hard to see all those raw meat ingredients without being able to roast them.
Having some kind of stationary oven seems ok to me. And once ingredients are cooked, their in-game effects should change accordingly

This would not be an oblivion suggestion but a discord suggestion. You would post it here #discord-suggestions
I asked earlier. I too would love to know
Just asking for separate difficulty sliders for damage taken and damage done.
Frames and stuttering on ps5 could also use a little helm.
They are collecting data. If lots of people ask for a certain feature, it will probably lead to creating a ticket.
Suggestion:
Do not remove low leveled enemies and items from spawning pool after reaching certain level, just decrease their probability rate in favor of high level ones.
The suggestions are passed to the developers. That is why we are trying to keep the chat organized so we can see everything clearly.
Currently there are no appearance changes between the stages of vampirism unlike the original Oblivion, it would be interesting to have more pronounced appearance changes in the later stages, i.e 3 and 4
The miscellaneous tab in my inventory is always a mess. Adding subcategories or a "sort by item type" would really help.
I really am not utilizing scrolls at all like I did in the original, slows down the pace of the game too much when playing on controller and sub categories would fix this immediately.
There are appearance changes, but it’s only paleness and veins.
To add to your suggestion, the eyes should definitely change as well. Almost all the vampire characters have a pale white iris with blood shot sclera. It should be the same for the player on the final stage.
Add an option to delete spells from the spell list for all platforms. Tired of scrolling through thousands of spells to find a specific one.
-
Dont 'skyrimify' things - Skyrim is my favorite game of all time but it only gets to that point when playing heavily modded version that doesnt treat the player like an idiot - I've read hundreds of these suggestions and so far its pretty clear the VAST majority of people like the older less hand-holdy style of gameplay and something that gives you a challenge
-
Please for the love of cheese let me see on the map which dungeons are complete and if that isnt possible due to a engine limitation then let me do it manually and add a permenant marker to it saying 'complete'
-
Combat probably needs altered IMO, two handers feel useless compared to daggers, daggers have much more DPS and essentially the same range as a battle-axe, what I would propose is - add two handed daggers and (maybe not) shortswords but reduce their base damage and range, increase the range of two handers slightly and increase their base damage
-
Add more variety of Armour's theres only so much steel and iron armour you can look at before youve seen it all
I am sure this has been mentioned multiple times but my number #1 suggestion and pain with the remaster is the inability to pause game, slow time or use dpad to cycle through spells. It makes mage play unbearable with controller
Having the ability to upgrade our gear so uniques are useful regardless of what level you got them at would be sick.
Would be cool to have a favorites menu that isnt limit to 8 items. The current limit is not enough for my weapons, spells and potions
They just need to remove leveled items
Classic lighting option in settings menu which switches color filter to one closer to OG Oblivion
German Sync would be nice
Cloaks yes cloaks would be amazing
I think maybe the simplest way would be to have it like the Dawnfang/Duskfang weapon, where they would change automatically once equipped if applicable. When you would equip a leveled item that's the lower level version from your current level, it would automatically change to match the version of your level.
Maybe with a simple message on the top left, something like:
"(Item name) has been upgraded to match your power."
please add an indicator for completed locations like skyrim 🙏
Yes, also probably beyond the scope of the changes they want to implement but having some vampire exclusive quests like there were on Morrowind and Skyrim, maybe tied to the Deepscorn Hollow that is now part of the main game
add horse calling and naming to the game and my life is yours!
as many others have said, please more npcs in the world, workers in farms, citizens etcetera, feels weird rn
let me see the enemies stamina bar under their health bar

Idk if Im doing something wrong but if Im not then a suggestion I would make is have the game understand what your BASE stats are and use that value when levelling.
An example of this would be I have the shrouded armor set on. Giving me an increase to Illusion. I level up Illusion to 100 and the level stops there. But if I take off the set, I can then increase the level again to 100. This causes a bunch of headaches as a vampire because all my stats would increase between feedings and it prevented me from hitting 100 in some areas because my Vampirism gave me an temporary buff that prevented me from increasing my attributes or Skills any further.
Multiple wheels for favorited items. I want the ability to switch between them to organize spells in one wheel and potions/Welkynd Stones in another.
Being able to take books without opening them first, also drinking and eating foods straight out of the table (not having to 'take' it first). It can be done using shift key. Like if youre looking at a drink the pop up says E to take but lets say if you would look at the item while holding L shift it would say E to drink it. The same goes for weapons, being able to equip it instantly without opening your inventory.
Hello Oblivion Remaster team!
Wrist Irons are still the only unarmored glove option in the game. It would be really cool if even a basic “Glove” variety was added to clothing merchants to give more enchanting options to unarmored characters!
Do reactions to suggestions play a factor as well?
Please continue without radiant quests, definitely don't need modern Bethesda nonsense
a weather indicator for wait/sleep menu of some kind
i like to wait out rain sometimes
Please add a buff for impérials, they have neither résistances, nor more hp or mp, or anything.
The ability to remove quest items after the quest they're involved in is over would be fantastic. Right now it gets pretty cluttered, especially since the house upgrades are considered quest items.
Also mod support on consoles, though I know lots of people have said that already.
Never remove the Original game from sales. Or Include the Original game when purchasing the Remaster
Definitely need leg kick melee attack animation in third person camera mode
Performance patch is needed badly. On consoles and even high-end PCs the frame hitching is ruining the experience for an otherwise fantastic remaster.
Bring back the rolls and backflips - the skill is called "Acrobatics" for a reason
I would like saddle bags for my horse so I can store things on it while exploring.
Here are some features that would make the game 11 / 10 just suggestions to bring it up to modern BGS games
- Horse mounted combat
- Ability to issue commands to followers as well as access their inventories
- Survival Mode
- Mr. Sandman style kill for sleeping NPCs
- Mannequins / functional bookshelves
- Photo mode
- Cooking / Crafting system
- Extra DLC support perhaps creating new original content for the game since more people are playing now than ever before
- Backpacks / Camping / Workshop
- NPC marriage??
- Creation support
Please add a Hide Helmet option
Minor suggestion:
The Adoring Fan seems to have light brown / dark blonde hair. The original was a bright yellow. Suggestion: Perhaps use a more yellow / brighter & lighter colour for his hair to make it more similar to the original.
I miss the original voice for Arvena Thelas from the rats in my basement quest for the fighters guild. The OG voice actress sounded more unhinged or insane then the new one and it fit the theme of the quest more. An option to turn on or off the new voices would be pretty neat.
There are a lot of issues with how various bars (health, magica, xp) are displaying in the remaster. Particularly frustrating is health on higher difficulties. I was doing a weakness to fire -> fire spell combo and it looked like it was dealing practically no damage. Thought this was a difficulty issue but after some testing it seems it was working in terms of number of hits it took to kill the enemy, but health was not displaying correctly to reflect that. These issues can also be seen in the xp bar jumping around like mad.
a way to upgrade the anvil house with some more lights to remove some of the dark spots
In my opinion spells and arrows should fly like 15-20% faster
Really loving the game but 3 things that are better in the original are slower leveling, more tunable difficulty and more physics on Props and corpses
A necromancy spell pack would be a pretty neat add on.
Quick looting menu like from Fallout 4 would be great
if we got a photo mode i would be blowing up steam community with screenshots lol
would love a good fishing mechanic (i just like fishing)
[Invisibility] Combat AI Improvements:
-
Enemies could target your summons and followers when you are invisible in combat (currently, arena combatants ignore my Clannfear while I'm invisible)
-
Mages and sorcerers could cast "detect life" on themselves to find you if they see you cast invisibility or chameleon.
-
Human enemies that aren't sorcerers could strike randomly in front of themselves while walking around, trying to hit you
Please do not repost suggestions.
Taller grass in general, but i specifically miss the grassiness along the gold coast
console mod support would probably allow all these suggestions to be made as a mod we really need it
Is it possible to make Luck 🍀 affect loot drops? According to all resources, Luck only does the following-
-Applies an invisible +4 buff to all skills for every 10 points above 50. Maxing out at an invisible +20 to all skills (that cannot exceed the 100 cap)
-Gives the arena pit fighter you bet on more health so they have a higher chance of winning.
-Unconfirmed: Maybe reduces the chances of hammers breaking during repairs.
Like, it's kinda bonkers to me that Luck does nothing for loot drops, when Luck as a stat is seen as a sneak build attribute for assassinating and looting.
A major decrease in speed when backing up in combat. This will help make dodging more viable and reduce a sense of over power brought by back pedaling
Edit:
Here’s a very deep cut, the laced leather pants were my go to for a lot of characters since they were deep red, but they’ve been made a muted pink. Any chance we could either have a separate set or it changed to more closely match the original?
Key ring
Few small suggestions:
-Health regeneration seems way too fast that it makes the enjoyment of using healing items and spells redundant. The regeneration is nice but way too fast (at least for me at early game still). If this was slowed way down to allow the health potions to have purpose then that would be great.
-A faster way to enter local maps rather than slowly zooming in.
-Horse combat would be nice as getting attacked then having to get off to deal with an enemy is a small inconvenience but nothing major.
-Faster way of accessing menu page for saving and loading in game.
-An easy quick glance way of seeing if soul gems are full or empty.
-An easy quick way of identifying ingredients that will work together to create potions without having to scroll through everything and check or using the effects filter. Of course this may be I also still have to get used to the system.
-Of course the general experience for a lot of people has been stuttering and gpu crashes. I'm sure this will be sorted in time and of course it is understandable that is also hardware dependant. I upgraded my gpu and ram and still get a bit of stuttering and graphics loading in slow though. I'm sure this will be tweaked over time. If there is fixes for this soon though that would be great.
-Rumours initiated as mini quests instead of just coming up as a marker perhaps? Might be of interest to people.
-I'm sure no one would be averse to more quests added 😉
AMAZING update from the original. Would be nice to see a few of the above things smoothened out though. Overall still amazing. SO GLAD to see the lockpicking and persuasion wheel has been kept and very nicely updated. They are such a great feature. Although I am still not clear on what a persons max disposistion is until the game tells me I can't go any higher.
Absolutely love the remaster, great job to all!
Suggestion:
Please add Steam Achievements to the original Oblivion & also Morrowind! 🙏
First person animations when in playing in first person. First person horse riding, first person falling over after a knockout, first person sitting on chairs and so on.
Visible torso and legs in first person mode
After hearing mod support on console is not happening i would really appreciate you guys unleveling all unique weapons in the game. Currently you get punished for collecting powerful weapons early as they cant level with you.
This was also an issue in skyrim. I think player enjoyment would be better knowing no matter what level you aquire cool and unique weapons they will be useful by end game.
I wanna take a break from reposting suggestions to thank the developers of this amazing project! This is a shining example of what a remaster SHOULD be. Y’all dropped this 👑
add option to turn off health regen
A bit of feedback
Currently, hairlines and beards often seem to not be adhering to the shape of the face, making them clip into the head and making NPCS look balding (Note that i am on High hair settings)
Addtionally, there needs to be seperation bars in the inventory to seperate catagories of items, or an option to have them. Without a searchbar, finding certain things like books or hammers in the MISC tab can be very annoying.
Forgot to mention this, editing the post. The running animation needs to be tweaked so your hip isnt tilted so far fowards
allow horses to carry a small amount of inventory for the player, without mods
Is every message being checked? I know it's a tall order, but there's thousands of messages and I hope the ones from days ago didn't get buried, especially when posted at awkward time zones.
This may have been sorted already in the remaster but... a way to not do damage to NPCs who have third partied a fight. For example you are fighting an enemy then a guard turns up to help then you accidentally hit the guard during the fight. I always remember getting into fights with the guard and having to yield because they got in the way of my fight. If a joining firendly npc doesn't take damage during an already initiated fight that would be cool.
Please make levelled items level with the Player Character
-make it possible to tame a spriggan... or just talk to them... or not fight with them... they are the creatures of heaven, i don't want to kill them
First person horse (it was in the original
Fight on a horse
New sound design for horse running
Named horse
It would be so cool 🐎

Okay so people didn’t like the speed reduction.
Backwards Movement costs fatigue. Like a flat 2-3% a second
That way there is a risk that adds more to engagements but you still get to zip around. This can be COUNTERED with stamina regen potions as well. Leaving both play styles as an option and not a default for those of us that don’t want it.
Leveled lists to change scaling to be a bit more like skyrim, it makes sense for bandits to always wear fur/leather (and not glass and especially not daedric armor, which is supposed to be rare) and so that animals like wolves and rats don't just disappear from the game world as u level
Multiple shortcut wheels, able to scroll with e and q or rb lb on controller?
Fix everyone's posture so they don't walk like 80 year old cripples with Arthritis.
make the name card for your horse stop displaying while you are riding it
jus pay more attention bc like if u in real life and u slice open a guy that was helping you he wouldn't be happy about it now would he. your first problem is your an archer in oblivion ...
also a suggestion is to add more collection activities like bug catching, critter catching, mining, more things to pass time and have fun. and so i could make money in different ways.
Difficultly sliders please! Adept is too easy and expert is too hard.
I love hand to hand in oblivion, but it gets pretty bad later on in the game. It would be dope if we could enchant gauntlets with damage types, frost/flame etc to make hand to hand feel better in mid to late game. Fist weapons that scale off h2h would be dope too. Then we could just enchant those
Oh great and powerful Bethesda, i do beg of you to add Mannequins. I want to have somewhere to display my armor!
Totally agree with you for the sake of realism. But sometimes a character running across the flight of your arrow is totally unavoidable.
(the edit is just rude)
I think one of the early Hand to Hand perks should be like that Skyrim Heavy Armor perk where the armor value of your gauntlets applies to your H2H damage.
Difficulty and xp sliders. Thirst, hunger and sleep needs with drinks sold or wells to draw water in a container like a waterskin. First person horse riding. Options to remove hud elements for more immersion. Leveled items level with player. And removing glass and daedric armor and other unlore friendly things from bandits with maybe an in game toggle option for those that would want it.
PS5 needs an optimization patch! Desperately!!!
Please fix the spell affects. All visible affects, honestly. Invisibility causes my character to just be a bald head and shoulders, even after the spell wears off. After swimming, the bubble affect sticks around until you get back in the water. When set on fire, the character keeps visibly burning long after the affect is gone.
If it is possible:
Be able to delete magic ( fire etc) because I have too much on inventory
Change hair/ face..
Add repeatable quests ( after clearing all quests, the game is empty)
Or just more spell effects
Also unique spell icons for level of spell. (Novice, adept, etc)
Also to be able to see spell level in menu’s such as vendors or player inventory
Yeah that would work too. Or maybe a perk that just adds flat damage to your unarmed attacks. Cause fatigue isnt the same as the original oblivion. U can’t knock people down and get a couple free hits in. They just stagger a little bit. The fatigue dmg is cool but with it being the top two perks for h2h it kinda feels like it’s not really worth it
Please keep to suggestions only. If you wish to discuss them, do so in #oblivion-chat
Maybe add a "keyring" sub inventory where all your keys stay. It's pretty rare that I check what keys I have
Adding subcategories into your inventory so things are more organized, and a keyring so the miscellaneous items tab isn't such a slog to scroll through. Local maps being easier to navigate wouldn't hurt.
official HDR support
thx dude didnt know (add a tutorial that shows how to use local maps works as well)
There are local maps just zoom all the way in
as many others have said keep low leveled enemies in the world, its way more fun
Make it so I can be a peeping Tom in someone’s window watching the whole family eat dinner in there
Please please add hair physics!
Suggestion: ‘Face Sculptor’ to be able to enter character creation again without the use of console commands, for console users - like Skyrim. Just an additional QOL extra.
Physics and player item placement needs to be refined. I think most would agree that the physics and grabbing in the original game was fiddly at best, yet it was still lots of fun to decorate your homes with clutter and bounty you found on your adventures.
As it stands now, you can’t even place items in a shelf as it seems the bounding box of shelves is to big to fit items while grabbing. Along with other stuff like just making bottles stand up straight. Fallout 4 had a good grabbing and placing items system, that could be used for orientation.
Perhaps we could have something similar to Skyrim where you can reset your player level? Maybe make it a level 30 reward for having reached such a high level. Have your skills and levels reset, as well as enemy levels. (Totally optional of course)
Please add a toggle for a graphic filter to make the color palette of the game more similar to the original.
Considering there is a Bard class it would be great to be able to play instruments. Even in some simplistic form.
Remember this is for suggestions only! If you want to chat, go to https://discord.com/channels/784542837596225567/784548437403107388, thank you
Bring vampire lord class to the game. The current one isn't viable at all
Please tweak unarmed to be more viable. With the remaster removing the ability for unarmed attacks to knock opponents over, it is no longer a viable option compared to weapons and spells, especially on higher difficulties.
Revert alchemy and harvesting, it was plenty strong in the OG, now it’s insane.
Change difficulty settings. Include poison damage as part of the difficulty modifier. Ideally just increase the health of NPCs instead of tying it to player damage dealt so you can’t cheese it with alchemy
[suggestion] let us see our current weight when we’re looting so we don’t grab too much loot and become over encumbered
To expand on this, make the "search" menu the default menu
Tweak NPC pathfinding to better react to different heights.
In the original, NPCs seemed to have no issues to find the way to the player on higher levels in space. Here it seems that NPCs are just interested in the X/Z plane, so instead of taking the set of stairs pretty close to them, they rather run in circles underneath the player
make it so i can move up hills better i seam to get my speed reduced by like 90% when i walk up hills (ik i should be able to walk up them bc its a PATH and i shall not bunny hop up a hill while in third person in full plate armor bc honestly it lonks funny)
I wish we had more "Roleplay" possibilities....
Fishing,
crafting,
radiant quests for guilds/taverns,
survival mode
most of all a suggest to make a DLC, or even expansion... i will buy immediatly
I would love to visit the other daedra worlds, this seems like the best game in the series for more planes of oblivion to shine, like Azura’s…
The Construction Set should be added. It’s pivotal for the longevity of the game.
Bring back physics features from OG. Now corpses or inn signs don't react on being hit.
Desperately need a keyring to keep all keys together.
And alchemy ingredients, potions and implements need separate sub categories, it's way too jumbled right now.
Certain spell affects don't work as intended or don't show up at all, like starlight. Spells should produce a light source like the original.
INTERIOR MAP TOGGLE, scrolling each time is terrible.
Just a suggestion on HUD shortcuts but could we get more, numbered 1 - 8 along with tap/ hold features.
A dedicated shortcut menu in system settings to customise each wheel.
Examples include
- assign hotkey to slot
- Toggle display on key press or hold
- Pause gameplay
- Tap or hold behaviour with use last, next or set item
- Rename from shortcut 1 - 8
- HUD visibility
- Number of slots
Could go as far as HUD wheel to list or grid. This btw coming from someone who plays with controller.
A couple suggestions:
first and foremost is performance and while not game breaking bugs besides crashes, they should be polished out.
Please make items level with your character even after being picked up. This way they are balanced for your level throughout the game and not just for the level you find them at.
Give a chance to make up the missing 3 stat points from the original’s leveling system through minor skills to keep an aspect of that old irritating level system while still leaving some of the charm of gaining stats for what you actually did in world.
If it hasn’t been, because I do not know for sure, please fix the goblin wars bug from the original.
Please allow Argonian Variant interior design of the Vile Lair. Trading any vampire aesthetics for Argonian ones. Besides built in properties like the purge salt bath.
Please add more racial variants of weaponry like Argonian clubs, Redguard Swords, etc.
Please add a DLC that bridges Morrowind’s story with it only being 6 years in the past.
Bring back unique fine steel weapons. The originals had red handles. The new ones look barely different from regular steel weapons
Please fix the analog movement on controller, this is something missing from the original as well, you either walk or run with no in between, and the run speed is way too fast to walk around. You had the analog variations of speed before, bring it back pleaseee.
Really like the upgrade on the lighting and graphics, and I appreciate you put light sources where they were missing, but looking at the first dungeon area with the rats, it's meant to be an abandoned ruined hole, so not sure if a lit torch/lanterns was the best choice here? I think it would be better if you used some flourecent fungus. Not only would it give a better sense of place, but it would have the blue hue that the old game had and has no been ditched due to real orange light sources. I'd add a screenshot to show what im talking about, but that seems to be disabled on this chat.
Mouse and keyboard support for Oblivion Remastered on consoles would be huge guys
Quality of life: Start button should always go to the System menu, and not be affected by the last opened inventory tab. Quick saving is a pain because you always have to tab back to the System tab if you opened your inventory.
We got one of the best selection of voice actors in Germany, pls bring German audio
Quick tip for that, the D-Pad opens different menus and can be re-bound to accommodate quick saves 🙂
i love that but mabye have like cracks of light and god rays in parts similar to other dungeons with the sewer having more of the fungus bc its a sewer and the fires seam right with the goblins but not the rats. (sorry for ranting but its a good sugestion)
nm
idk how well it'd work in Cyrodill, but a Survival Mode would be nice.
Farming would be cool! But things like marriage and adoption would be great. Marriage is a really cool thing in Skyrim and having homes for children would be cool too
dlc like hearthfire would be nice... i don't know why people dislike this. It's always nice to have a home and family to come back to after a hard work day
