Only to optionally form a truce. And since Shady Sands is destroyed, the BOS might have found an advantage against the NCR, as shown in the Season 1 finale.
That cloud would have came through by then imo
Yeah I’d imagine the battle for hover dam was a big disaster for all factions
It would somehow make sense for the BOS to form a truce to give time to rebuild their forces and recoperate.
Like I said, even when I want the NCR to win, it still would make a compelling story of how it happened after NCR's victory with keeping most factions alive and to see what might have happened to them in Season 2.
A compelling tragic demonstration that war never changes. Factions change, warfare changes, but war.... war never changes.
Yeah but we don’t know how long it would take something like that to move. I mean is the sierra close to the Mojave?
Dont think we ever got a distance
So it could take a long time for it to spread
If possible, if NCR wins, and if we optionally kill Mr. House, maybe Mr. House might have something up his sleeve, maybe it's possible Mr. House might have cloned himself and transferred his memories into the clone body. But that's just wild speculation.
Lucy’s dad
Thats a woman if I remember right
Lucy is a women yes
Yea, sounds like a lady
Can't be Lucy's mother. We already saw her die in the S1 finale. Might be someone else. I almost thought that was Lucy's mother talking, but it doesn't make sense. I didn't listen carefully.
"Too many caps" - 🤓
will we get Hank Maclean prewar pip boy available for purchase
Her father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Just random wasteland lady? I wonder why didn’t they show her face
Might be someone who might be familiar from previous games, or someone we don't know yet.
Sierra Petrovita, that lady gets around
Or maybe Veronica.
It’s probably someone we know. Why hide her face if it’s a nobody
Well that was too late commando beat me to it lol
That's just wild speculation. We have no idea who that lady is until the show is released on December 17.
I bet she’s still with Bradberton in Nuka World torturing him with nuka cola related questions for the last 9 years
too bad for Bradberton , I wanted the Nuka Nuke launcher
I dunno, Bradberton seemed to enjoy Sierra's company after we optionally complete the quest of sparing Bradberton.
Yeah but Brad could also get put into a Robo brain. Or if the institute was still around put into a synth. He’s too smart to die
There is a shot (2:09) with the interior of some office building (i think) with people in vault 31 suits getting attacked by radroaches.
I wonder when that takes place
The change at the bottom is intentional, I think it's the company that made the prop. They made the real Las Vegas sign.
has anyone mentioned yet that the building The Ghoul is being kicked out of at 2m5s is the Atomic Wrangler
1m16s, is that Nellis AFB the BoS airship is over?
Also is that Vulpes at 1m21s in the background
What if they go for a secret option, the Courier dies sometime during the events of NV.
Maybe even retcon it so that the Courier is killed by Benny, House doesn't get the Chip, hence the state of New Vegas in the trailer
May I ask if we can avoid speculation on the possible fate of the Courier? At least for now.
It's going to be a volatile topic. People are critical of implied retconning of NV lore as is.
WHAT OF THE EAST??? I AM THE EAST.
(Cant send image but im hyped that ||the guy wearing the crown seems to be having Lanius's armor)||
Thats my theory because without Courier intervention... the battle itsself is pretty handedly in favour of the Legion
Caesar or no Caesar
As long as Veronica is alright, I don't care about my Courier
I hope she just leaves the Mojave, bc her fate is now infinitely worse
Nah, the Courier intervenes with factions and is canon. There will be a canon ending for New Vegas.
Idk thats just my take since it preserves the player choice and integrity of it being an RPG while also letting them explore NV
And cass
Nah def not crazy at first glance looks like his iconic battlecoat but think it a pilot they have those bomber jackets
I looked up the actor that was in that short clip, his name is Kumail Nanjiani, and if I’m correct and that’s him, google says that according to undisclosed reports suggest “he will be playing a high-ranking official within the Brotherhood of Steel”
"undisclosed reports" ?
Idk that’s what it says 🤷♀️
Guess we will see when S2 releases
Fair enough.
||(tread caution with that type of news around here 😉 )||
so far it sounds like Justin Theroux is doing a killer job of nailing René Auberjonois' cadence as Mr. House.
That was a standout of the trailer for me. The cadence, mannerisms, and vocabulary all sounded like what I expect from House.
If I don’t see Liberty prime next season I’m gonna bomb diamond city
Was the airship in Season 1 actually the prydwen?
Current implied understanding. Nothing official yet.
Hopefully season 2 clears that up in some way. Cant wait!
If u zoom in on the airship on the side of the ship it does say Prydwen at least according to this article I read that did it for me
Ah okay yeah that clears it up lol
I do wonder which one is getting blown up in S2 though
Its kinda weird seeing 4 of them in that clip tho they look to be smaller versions
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/946942461706665995/1407716459085303829/20250820_092127.jpg?ex=68a71d9d&is=68a5cc1d&hm=847c5e9c246aed49b0b546d760677f4b0756edae943e985029fbd6e6cb1d7a9d&
Wait, we know McCauley caulkin is going to appear in s2 of fallout, is he Caesar? Kinda looks like him
That honestly might be just a reused asset
Most likely yeah pull the asset from the game forgot to replace the name or something
Didn’t they say that Caulkin plays a scientist?
Don't know, really didn't look into it that much, still though the thought of the home alone kid being a leader of a brutal slavery using warlord faction is kinda funny
guys, i just watched the Season 2 trailer and boy, it makes me want to watch it in December, and it... is... awesome.
I want December to come but I also don't because of winter 🥶
150$ electric bills
Ohh okay. I wanted it to be december but i can't because i think things would be coming in the future like a I30/ATLAS comet is gonna come in December but that comet turns out to be a Natural Comet
I can’t wait to see Victor in S2!!!
From the trailer, I’ve seen at least five familiar places. We’ll see how it is when it comes out, but players will definitely feel a sense of familiarity with the decor 💯
Gotta show Quarry Junction with the Deathclaws
Novac is in the trailer so i dont think theyre taking that route
Maybe they go from novac straight to vegas and end up there
I hope we see the courier
If the Legion ending is canon I almost forgive Brotherhood of Space Marines and nuke them all House
Flakles why did you dislike
So... in the show timeline Legion outlive NCR and the Courier worked for Mr. House ? correct me if something is wrong
caesar dies and joshua graham takes over the legion
The guy with laurel wreath is wearing legate armor... so maybe Lanius is still around
That’s my guess
Lanius seems like the obvious successor
so House is canon ending... Ceaser loose battle at Dam and yet NCR collapsed after that victory and House always win?
I think it’s certainly possible that the loss of Shady Sands compounded with the failure of the Mojave Expedition would lead the NCR to splinter. Not sure it would collapse outright.
If we’re taking the whiteboard in Season 1 as evidence, both events would have happened within a very short period of time.
From what we saw in season 1 NCR is mostly gone and collapsed into smaller states ruled by local lords like so called governmint and the Brotherhood of Steel supreme rules the wasteland and attacks wherever it wants.
If someone has a different opinion, it is wishful thinking that has no basis in what we saw in the show.
That’s what I meant by splinter, they probably Balkanized.
so in other words NCR is no more
I’m sure at least one of those small groups carries the lineage of the original NCR, but they’re nowhere near the level they were at pre-2280
If over one million New Californians simply go back in social development from statehood to tribalism after one nuke... I doubt it.
Not tribalism, per se. They probably splintered along local administrative boundaries, each forming their own unique governments. This is all speculation, though.
Tribalism, is an idea that strives to maintain the tribal structure of society without centralized authority, and at the same time, the idea is against the formation of nations.
I guess the House ending, but the courier nukes the NCR in lonesome road?
Will we get pre war hanks Pip-Boy 3000 Mk IV available for purchase like the the die cast one
I do feel like he's such a well liked character he might show up
Will we
Anyone know where I can get high quality stills from the trailer
My laptop doesn't support 4k resolution screenshots and my PC is still packed from a move lol
Hey dude, please stop spamming this question. We don't know yet. Just keep an eye out for announcements.
My bad
Yeah but he seems to like feet
Bruh the show is making me wanna do a bos playthrough 😭
I see this new trailer and I WANT to hope for the best but I mean
I know better than to expect anything other than them making it dirty people shooting at each other in rubble for 200 years.
I think it's kinda disrespectful to take over an existing franchise then go "yeah all that stuff yeah happened a long time ago it all ended off screen doesn't matter oh well" y'know
I miss when fallout was about stuff not just ignore the plotline and mess around with side quests for 200 hours
They've committed to making the show faithful, but the problem is the difference in media, ie. between video game and tv/movie. It cannot be 100% reproduction. There's always going to be some minor loss/change.
Changing between media means not everything translates properly.
Especially when appealing to a much broader audience... people who don't play the genre, or play games at all.
starfield players are on some other stuff
i dislike that they are making the way better written fallout games more similar to the mass audience looter shooter fallout games like i don't mind that people enjoy them but i don't think they should be changed because different games were like that
Not gonna lie, it's taken me a few attempts to read the intent of what you mean by this.
I think where this is going, is that the older games don't always have a lot of foresight on what the future will be like.
yeah and thats alright but i don't like kinda getting rid of all they set up so they can get back to shooting at eachother in rubble for 200 years
Isn’t that just human history in general though
no, but irregardless it isn't interesting story writing
It's not a matter of "getting rid" of things. Like I said, games from years ago can not have had a lot of foresight for "today". Today's media can involve filling gaps with creative licensing.
It's impossible for every single nook and cranny to be accounted for. No franchise has proven to be without fault on making a change without causing a retcon.
i mean im not really asking for that im asking for like any followup at all
Any example you have in mind?
like how they blew up shady sands off screen and kinda blew it off
or how the brotherhood are like magically super powerful despite being intentionally in decline for the 3 west coast games they are in
ahhh
Well the show is expected to cover that.
They are well established "burning questions".
We'll all find out.
i also dislike the direction they are going in general
People already have strong opinions on the matter.
i don't like that vault tec is some superpower now
the whole "the days of showing up in power armor with a laser rifle and being able to get whatever you want are over" part and that not being the case sucks for me
I'll leave you to your thoughts on it. There's already been people in here expressing strong opinion on those plot lines.
Im still wonderin which ending is gunna be the canon
cus House cant be dead in season 2
Im surprised we're goin back to Anchorage
and i knew i caught seeing Ghoulified king bois
That's what Fallout was always about
yeah since the first one too hahah
FO2 even jokes about people ignoring the main quest
Thats like the point of like every open world game
Not just open world games. Every rpg
theres like no rule you have to finish the game's campaign to finish the game
Like who played the game more? the dude who collected all the berenziah gems or the dude who speedran the main quest
Especially Bioware's games. ME2 is like 90% side quests
Even the main quests had side quests hahaha
DAI moment
Im more of a DAO guy
idk when Fallout has ever been about the campaign
the only time the campaign demanded your attention was 1 cus it had a timer
Even then it was like a 100 days
which u can extend and make it infinite too
And it only lasted like 50% of the game
not even
for me it was like 20%
yeah but you weren't ignoring the main quest because it was bad
I was. Especially in FO2
you were ignoring it to explore the game and you came back to the main quest
fallout 2's main quest rocks idk what to tell u
It's so boring until your village gets attacked there's practically no reason to do it
i would do certain things to vic...
like blow him up with a rocket launcher
excellent family activity
i won't pretend like the side quests weren't good too
i always marreid davin as a male fella cause i mean you just gotta considering its like one of the first popular games where you could marry a man as a man
FO2 is like Oblivion. You know it's a mess that's all over the place but it's a damn fine mess that you can't help but enjoy
fallout 2 had way better dungeon design than oblivion
but thats not much of an achievement considering how bad a lot of oblivion dungeons were
"Dungeon" in question being the same copy pasted cave or vault
the isometric perspective helped a lot too
that also applies to oblivion
That's why i said they're the same
oh sorry
i wish davin wasn't so ass tho
like damn first game with gay marriage and he's a ball and chain
suppose that says something about marriage or other
Hi all, let's bring the conversation back to the show please - you can use #fallout-general-chat for discussion of the games
Right the show. They should get Jesse Pinkman to do a cameo in New Vegas
I only don't understand why everything in the show must be in the state of perpetual apocalypse.
If it's supposed to look like the largest post-war empire we know falls apart after the destruction of one city, then at least be believable enough to make sense.
I wish the NCR ending is canon. It lets you keep most factions alive such as the BOS and other companions you meet and travel with.
NCR army troopers will be there. Not just the Legion.
Again, we don't really know the state of the NCR yet. Any government would be weakened by what happened to them, we just need to wait until December to find out the extent of the damage.
I'm the NCR's number one fan, I'm trying to bite my tongue about their status right now because multiple theories could be correct.
Either House is canon ending or whole New Vegas timeline was - what if courier survive being shot by Benny scenario(but is no longer canon)... That's why Vegas is in ruin, NCR was hit by a single nuke and a milion people(New Californians) decide to reverse from statehood to tribalism all o a sudden(so there is no presence of NCR near Vegas)...
Or maybe the Mojave Campaign was recalled to California following the loss of Shady Sands. Could explain why the Legion is still around.
and the House ending is the most probably becouse the state of new vegas freeside is... there was unrest, riots and ultimately the massacre of the freeside population in House ending
kings became feral ghouls and such
and we see securitrons in some capacity so they are still active so definitely no Legion forces there
and of course Victor
It could also be possible that the NCR could have won the second battle of Hoover Dam. If we disable or kill Mr House, Victor was no where to be seen in the game and disappeared without a trace.
Victor could've fled in hiding after we either disable or kill Mr. House if we either side with Yes Man, the Legion, or the NCR.
Im telling you, im gonna crash out if they don't play Johnny Guitar during the show
either play the song, or have a character be named Johnny who just happens to have a guitar
Has anyone mentioned that Dinky the Dino is facing the wrong way in the trailer
Also (and this is actually a spoiler) ||There are Great Khans flags and icons all around Novac, looks like they took it over at some point||
I dont have image perms, so I can't post the screenshots, but you can check in the trailer, they're there
Oh that actually has some interesting implications for the canon ending
Also, I'm pretty sure that the ||guy we see flying the Vertibird with Maximus is Arthur Maxson. On the collar of his jacket, you can see three diamonds, which is the BoS rank insignia for Elder.||
If that s the case I would like him to be not that ecstatic lol
This is the only thing I don’t like about Beth is how they love the BOS so much and let them always win. I would’ve liked to see another faction in FO4 win instead of once again the BOS. I just don’t care about them.
The bos aren’t a bad faction but they seem to be in all the fallout media. It gets old seeing them all the time.
I’m sure he has his moments lol
Oh crap! I just realized! In the new trailer, ||Lucy shooting the ghouls... the ghouls are actually the Kings who now become ghouls!||
||I really hope there's at least one Elvis song in an episode||
Imagine if Lucy and Maximus meet again, and they kiss again, the music by Dean Martin "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime" plays during that reunion.
How I know this music? How I would've imagined Lucy and Maximus reunion if possible like that? Samurai Jack. That's why.
Depends on if Amazon wants to shell out the money for Viva Las Vegas.
Wonder if Heartaches By The Number is going to play in the show.
Absolute cinema
Started to watch in the morning after it got launched
Finished it at 10pm before going to sleep at the same day
If I was a girl I Will reject maximus because Is not so good as a man
Wonder if Mr. Fantastic is the one in Lainus's armor in the trailer
Nah. Fantastic would wear sunglasses.
A lot of people from the game NV is probably dead by now. Especially the older folks like the enclave pilot.
Mad genuis scientist, Mr. Fantastic is the only one I can think of but it could as very well be a new character.
House win
I wouldn't even be mad
How did Maximus survive 219 years
What do you mean?
He was Cryogenaized and then he joined the BOS
Oh ok
He didn’t. He was at shady sands
The whole thing at the end ||where Lucy is telling him, and he proceeds to attack Hank, is that Hank is being made out to be responsible for the destruction of Maximus' home.||
How do we know Maximus wasn’t homeless because the clothes he was wearing
There's some things we don't know for certain yet.
But the footage showed suggests he was adopted into BoS when a Knight found him.
He wasn’t cyro froze and or 200 years old
What if Courier 6 shows up? That would be so insanely cool. Just like a masked kind of character
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/93517 Don't worry guys, New Vegas canon is fixed. This is canon now. 😂
I sure do hope that the wand company adds classical radio to the pip-boy
What are you talking about? He grew up in Shady Sands (or at least was present for The Fall™ which was only a few years back).
All I want to say about the NCR in the Fallout TV show is that one head of the bear is dead, but the other's ready to fight.
Can w get a spin off series about Maximus
I want to see a buddy cop spin off about Maximus and Dane having left the brotherhood and making their way across the wasteland. With Thaddeus as the occasional comic relief.
That sounds better than jus Maximus
Unless it's a prequel, the series needs to establish where he's going first.
Maybe to find his family or find 33
Kinda curious what's the status of New Vegas which route they took when the Courier explored the lands
What are the chances we get a pre-war Enclave storyline? They didn’t really get a proper introduction in season 1 except for Wilzig escaping one of their facilities.
Well if it's official, it's not a "leak".
Leaks generally fall under rumour/speculation on this discord.
In that case, you need to tread caution here with what you post. There's a zero tolerance on leaks in on the server, even if you spoiler it.
If it's not from an official/authorised associated source, it can't be posted.
(I'm sure you meant well)
Hi all, as Captain Irrelevant mentioned we do not allow any leaks or rumours here on the server. Thanks!
Noted. 😬
Good morning.

fallout nv themed content for the launch of the season 2 tv series would be amazing, but i feel like there would be insane backlash if they added fnv themed content for 76, they knew where the show was going, and they didnt manage to work on a fnv remaster/remake
Anything NV added to 76 would be on easter egg basis.
It's always possible. The shows got another season, 76 doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, and as far as the remaster/remake, even if someone was working on it, I'm cool with letting them cook until it's finished.
Well they did add NCR Ranger armor to 76 a while back tho its just called Ranger armor no NCR affiliated
They added all 3 actually the Ranger Elite Ranger and Advanced Ranger set
The Desert Rangers were around before the NCR, those are basically pre-war riot suits they're equipped in.
NCR founded in 2189, Fallout 76 set in 2102
Yeah, they got them from pre-war stocks of police department riot gear.
Probably not gonna be the Elijah ending after all
How do we think the Brotherhood Civil War is gonna start? Think it will be Maxson and the East Coast taking on Quintus' hostile takeover? Or Maximus leading other members in a revolt?
Or flesh out the beefing the BOS had going on between F2 and 3
little Maxson was sent out to DC because things were getting a little spicy back at Lost Hills.
I've heard people speculate it might be the Midwest BoS, but idk about that. I'd think the Prydwen plans would sooner be shared with the West Coast than a "rogue" chapter.
My playtrough of Fallout 76 Is setted in 2105 and I don't know why
I Just see the year on the pipboy
F76 originally began in 2102 IIRC but it's moved up over time
Imagine arriving to the year 2165 and ear from your pipboy: JOIN UNITY!
Me: Yes I Will join your stupid church cult of supermutants.
Meanwhile me with my fleet of 3 Enclave zeppelins arriving to the east coast in CA
The concept of BoS airships starts in Fallout tactics is why
The BoS that would eventually become the midwest chapter used planes and airships to cross the divide which originally before New Vegas was a massive stretch of land that made crossing out of New California extremely hard, the BoS even lost their ships during the cross and it's a plot point that it weakened them so much they needed to start recruiting and annexing settlements
I think the idea of a BoS civil war is kinda silly because the entire point of Maxson is returning to the old ways of looking for tech with a referral system for new recruits, that's how Maxson got the outcasts to join because Lyons, who was actually really bad at leading and this is evidence in Fallout 3, was focused too much on defending points throughout D.C. that had zero tactical value. The outcasts on the other hand were angry that looking for technology became punishment detail as is shown in the library where there's one scribe assigned tech detail
but hey it's a cheap WHOA factor which the show loves doing, sadly
I mean, considering the whole point Maxson was there was because Lost Hills was dealing with civil war between 2 and 3, I fail to see why it'd be a problem here
The BOS isn't a single unified organization, even if Maxson's trying to make it that way now
Lost hills wasn't dealing with a civil war, we don't know why they cut contact with the East Coast but the most likely case was the NCR-BOS relationship cratering which led to the NCR-BOS war
A civil war is also incredibly dumb because they're literally on opposite coasts lol the supply line would be way too long for both sides
And it's a big thing about how the airship in 4 isn't actually good in a battle because of how fragile it is under heavy fire, because it's a Zeppelin, they weren't actually that good
There's a reason they were never made on a large scale after WW2, they suck. They're big, slow and costly
Incorrect.
Born -- 2267
Died --
Only son of Jonathan and Jessica (both deceased).
Last of the Maxson bloodline.
As an infant, sent to the Citadel to be fostered by Elder Owyn Lyons. The reason for this decision was two-fold:
1.) Recent internal conflict amongst the Western Brotherhood of Steel created an unsafe environment for the child. It was believed that the Citadel -- despite being located in hostile territory -- would increase his probability of survival.```
We don't know what causes the civil war in S2 (presumably we're going to find that out when we watch it) but it's not a first for the BOS by any means
It might even be something to do with the Mojave chapter this time
Fallout 3 had the Outcasts who split from Elder Owen Lyons, but they weren't at war with each other
Yes they were
BOS and Outcast members are hostile to one another ingame; they try to stay out of one another's way, but they're explicit enemies.
That doesn't say there's a civil war though lmao
That could mean a ton of other stuff like the BoS and NCR having diplomatic issues which led to a war
Lyons had some sympathy for them, but many of his men were more zealous against what they saw as traitors, and likewise were the Outcasts not too fond of Lyons whom they saw as a traitor.
Internal conflict.
Among the western BOS specifically.
Conflict that threatened Arthur Maxson's life.
I'm not going to continue this conversation, that's literally as clear as it gets. Again, the BOS is not a unified organization.
That's still not a civil war lol
That could be people trying to use Maxson, the BoS disputing about the NCR's use of technology, the constant theme of members wanting to end the xenophobia
Civil wars are never referred to as "internal conflicts"
An internal conflict is factions within a group infighting, infighting doesn't always mean civil war, it means disagreements
This is further backed in New Vegas with members showing internal strife that isn't actually fighting each other, New Vegas also doesn't show the BoS were in a civil war
And once more you have the issue of a civil war between East and West doesn't make sense because there's huge stretches of hard to travel wasteland between the two, it's like if the Roman Empire decided to launch a war against China
hellooo
Veronica said they had a small civil war.
We've had people go rogue, though, and start helping people. One chapter had a small civil war over it. We take our isolationism seriously
I'm pretty sure she is referencing the Lyons/Outcast split
It's also notably one chapter, not faction wide
Wasn't that in 2277? BOS vs Outcasts?
Yes. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I'm not saying the Brotherhood had an all out civil war. I said small.
Yea that made sense at least lol the point I'm making is east vs west would not make sense, east could just say "we're on our own now lol" and all the west can do is say "Oh ok"
The supply lines would be ridiculous long for both sides, airships are incredibly slow it would take months to just supply some troops
Then again the writers are talentless hacks who don't know fallout so them going "it make sense because we said it makes sense" like the dumb feral cure with no name or "the fall of the NCR" happening before New Vegas
Well, I highly doubt the West would go "oh, ok." They can't just say it like that. It's like saying "I'm defecting from the army, and I'm on my own." and the Army goes like "oh, ok." That's not how it works.
I mean it does when there is no easy transportation between the coasts and it's long stretches of hostile wasteland that has notoriously always been hard to cross
If anything, Brotherhood splitting up to form their own could be seen as making rivals of each other.
Well, the Brotherhood is a bit too prideful to just "let it go".
They literally send out anyone who wants to end the xenophobia out of the west
Lyons and the Midwestern are proof, they're constantly exiling people
"Oh you want to change fundamental parts of the organization? How about you go check out the east for uh "tech" yea, go all the way to D.C."
Logically the west would also be drained of manpower because they were losing so hard at the NCR-BoS war that all the chapters had to go into hiding and they lost their ancestral home
15 years between New Vegas and the show, even if they broke the no wastelanders rule, would still deplete them of troops as opposed to east coast who has been actively recruiting and building a stronger base
Lyons was sent east to reestablish contact with the midwest Brotherhood and look for tech at the Pentagon. He wasn't banished until he refused orders.
We really have no indication who was winning or losing that war, just that the BoS went into retreat - probably due to lower numbers.
I think the fact the BoS had to go into hiding meanwhile the NCR had the power to continue expanding is enough to say the BoS were losing
It's just evidence the NCR had a numerical advantage.
Which is not shocking.
If they were losing so badly, the BoS wouldn't have sent Lyons eastwards and provided him with reinforcements, nor sent Elijah south with a whole chapter just because they saw him as annoying.
Is anyone here not a fan of the show? I doubt anyone that doesn't like it would waste their time talking about something they don't like but people can be odd.
The show does a lot of things right but I find it's writing to be edgy at times, not really understand fallout and of course making things up and not explaining, like the cure feralism drug not even having a name was really weird. They act like it's always been a part of fallout.
And it further makes less sense when Cooper was buried alive, it feels like they wanted to make him a drug addict but realized that would hurt the character's image midway through production and tacked it on
Like they didn't need to really explain a lot of things that are basic stuff for fallout so just suddenly treating a new element to the franchise with no explanation felt really weird
People who say they are not a fan, have more often resorted to going on a spree of talking points that anything but constructive opinion.
I mean you can be a fan of something and complain about what they did wrong, questioning the anti-feral drug is one of these, it's constructive criticism to point out an issue the show has by introducing a new element to a franchise and question why it was so underdeveloped it doesn't even have a name
and people like talking, even about the bad stuff, of something they like.
I already plan on watching the second season, isn't the most offensive show I've watched lol
I think it's more people see criticism and go "you don't like it!" when nah, most critics like the things they criticize
Hell, most of the changes throughout Bethesda's game history came from fan criticism. Like Morrowind you could screw up entire questlines by visiting a dungeon early, now we have quest locked dungeons. People didn't like constantly getting lost, now we have map markers, people didn't like how bland Oblivion's dungeons were so they focused on making Skyrim's more fleshed out, people didn't like Fallout 4's dialogue system and lack of choices in quests and now Starfield you have so many options to handle numerous quests and can do quests almost entirely non-violently
I think you're forgetting they want this show to be a reoccuring thing. If they said "oh this drug is only needed for old ghouls and we get it from deathclaws spines" it would kind of not have any ablity to ponder and have people talk more about the show and look forward to it
Looking back, I never realized how poor the props were. I only asked that because I have been seeing a lot of hate videos of the show for some reason.
It literally has no name lmao they treat it like it has always existed. That's the issue here, All lucy has to ask is "hey what's that you're taking" and it can just be settled with a sentence. Or when that ghoul asks Cooper for some they could just say "Hey you got anymore Feral-Be-Gone"
It's really not that hard, they messed up in a lot of ways, that's not just people looking for reasons to criticize the show, it's valid criticisms
Like Maximus's incredibly hilarious Iron Man scene
I was so hoping the arm jet was going to be a flame thrower because that would've been cool but it just being iron man hand jets was so incredibly funny
I'm not asking for overexplaination, I'm just asking for a name for it
I'm being trolled at this point
The bot hates you
Bro you can't use profanity in a discord about a game that's rated 17+
But yea I'm not even against the show doing new stuff, I actually think the idea of a feral treatment being introduced is something that's cool, I just wanted them to at least give it a name or a lil explanation, not the entire history
I agree 100%
Partnered server means BGS has obligations to discord it has to abide to from community management perspective.
You can do that yourself, there is a memory card that you can use to add MP3's. I'll bet there is a GIT for it too. Google it.
I did talk to their Dev team about adding NOAA weather radio to Pip-Boy, so it is actually has a functional application as a survival tool. The unit has an SDR, so from a system perspective it's not hard. TWC just needs to add the code to the unit and make a new screen on the radio soft menu.
I'll try that
Profanity is allowed though. It makes no sense and isn't even stated in the rules
Cursing and Profanity
Purposefully circumventing our profanity filter or otherwise cursing or using profanity is not permitted.
We need Sydney Sweeney in the Fallout TV show.
Why is some profanity and some cursing allowed then?
That's probably why Maxson sent Quintus the Prydwen, along with a bunch of Knights. But if Quintus is now using them to seize power for himself, that would give Maxson a reason to enter the fray.
Hello
cant we just nuke the brotherhood?
we dont need them right? I mean lets be honest would you trust advanced tech to a bunch of zealots who descend from those who committed treason?
I wouldnt.
and with how strict the brotherhood is based on the fact that their founding members had told the united states to go to hell for the experiments.
the minutemen in my opinion is my preferred faction in fallout 4
veronica is right, the brotherhood needs to focus less on weapons tech and more on just advanced tech
and Arty maxson's brotherhood is a bunch of idiots ignoring their main mandate about protecting tech
because arty is a maxson
honestly I find zealotry to be more a hinderance then a benefit. If your too stupid to question your orders then you deserve everything that happens to you
Truthnuke
When tech in the wrong hands literally brought about the apocalypse... yes. When this group was formed after discovering a severe misuse of technology (FEV), yes.
How do they ignore it when they gather it and look for data related to it? Social, scientific, and historical documents are retrieved for the BoS.
Bethesda constantly bringing in the BoS is like one of the most common criticisms fans have
It's almost on a "and somehow Palpatine is back" level of ridiculous
Who's to say that the BoS is the "right hands" anyways?
When have they abused technology?
That's a tradition started by Interplay. All of their titles (and planned titles) featured the Brotherhood, too.
Is it not stated that they extort settlers in the Commonwealth to supply them?
Nah in 2 there was like one mission you could do for the BoS
No?
But it's definitely overused at this point
But it still featured them.
People say they "extort" because the BoS ask for supplies when protecting trade routes
"We'll be requisitioning a portion of their harvest and I need that food crated and ready to go for when I send out a collection team."
"Here's the location. Convince the settlement to support the Brotherhood, or take over the settlement by force"
- Proctor Teagan
and the whole harassing people who have technology is also not true, the BoS doesn't care about taking everything that's tech, they even made a habit of trading non-dangerous tech for supplies and income, to the point the canon ending of 1 was the BoS became a major R&D house for medical equipment, cybernetics and other technology
Teagan also states it's off the books
meaning it's not the BoS's standard practice
The mission is obtaining food. Teagan giving you carte blanche? Less so.
Teagan isn't big on the rules - unlike the rest of the Brotherhood.
Teagan is in charge of food supply, if the leader of the operation sanctions it, it's the policy
Player Default: Caps on the side, eh? Doesn't sound like official military business to me.
Teagan: Well, it is and it isn't. It's... complicated.
The implication is clear, he is tasked with getting supplies, his method is not standard BoS practice
Yeah, his duty is to obtain food - that's the official business. Him turning a blind eye to how you obtain it... that's not official.
Could very well be he's cutting corners because Initiate Clarke is wasting food on ferals.
Regardless of the policy, it's happening under his watch. It's no wonder the BoS isn't particularly liked in the Commonwealth.
Farmers don't care about the official policy, they care about what's happening to them.
You can also settle that quest by paying the farmers
You can settle most things amicably in the game, it's an RPG
So really the person that's to blame is you for not paying them if you choose not to
From a meta perspective, sure. Lorewise it's more open ended.
Is it? Post-main quest, the people of Diamond City like the Brotherhood for how many caps they spend. Seems like that'd be more in line.
Piper has a dialogue line about the BoS "taking what they want" without recourse, which would imply that their more... extrajudicial practices are somewhat widespread
Piper has like near no interaction with the BoS
now now we feed the ferals to keep them from overtaking the base
plus I just love the speech check option when you tell kells feral ghouls sneak in, get food, sneak out
it's priceless
I cant ever turn in clarke because he brings up very good points. They were human at one point. and how often have people turned raider when the opportunity presents itself
not me of course, because I kill raiders for fun
hangs out with pickman
to be fair, teagan dont give a damn how you get the crop, even if it costs you money. It's why when he sends me to a farm, I just ignore that quest.
he SHOULD reimburse you the funds you spend on getting it but nope, he will say newb you supposed to kick in the door
She only says that's "what she heard". Hearsay.
Look I love the Brotherhood of Steel even more than the next guy, BUT, the West Coast brotherhood ideology and methods are VASTLY different than the (former) East Coasts or Ramanis Appalachian BoS.
The West Coast brotherhood absolutely is a brotherhood who will kick your door in and steal your now functional toaster. And thanks to both Fo4 and the TV show we know Elder Maxon was trying and has actively reuinited the East coast with the West Coast. Sarah's death basically reverted his ideology and therefore the Brotherhoods ideology back to West Coast.
He doesnt strike me as someone who particularly would care if you were strong arming settlers out of their crops for Teagan, so that makes it "official".
Just because you as a player can roleplay a better way to handle it doesn't make it the "way its done" in the BoS, it just makes it the way you did it. If anything, paying them is "unofficial" because otherwise Teagan would give you caps to pay them with up front. The implication is just that.
The Brotherhood are the goodest not so good guys in the Wasteland and if you have something they need, prepare to fork it over.
Why do you think they are constantly at war with the NCR? If the Brotherhood weren't ruthless, Shady Sands would still exist.
Thats why I just play 76 or 3 😂 Ramani and Elder Lyons have the right idea
The BoS in Fallout trades its laser weaponry for food, and post-game reintroduces advanced tech to new California. Between FO1 and FO2, they installed a ZAX machine in Vault 13 to replace its overseer.
It's only when irresponsible people hold advanced tech, or if it's tech that's too dangerous to begin with, that they come in and confiscate it.
And yeah, the implication is there. Tell me, if the mission both is and isn't official business, then what part of it isn't when strongarming settlements is the norm?
Rahmani is an incredibly poor leader - lies, false accusations, not learning from errors, adopting mad scientists, fighting symptoms instead of causes...
and Maxson does everything the Lyons did. He just stopped being an altruist.
Sure, but we are talking about a like 100 year gap between Fallout and Fallout 4 where the West Coast has clearly (shown by the TV show) become extremists. Look at the Outcasts in 3. They have more in common with the West Coast chapter than Lyons Pride does.
And the buisness of getting the food is official, I'm saying paying them isnt. Its pretty clear Elder Maxon is taking the ideology to the extreme. Hunting synths, ordering Danses execution, nuking the institute. Synths dont really pose much danger on their own, its the Institute body snatching thats the problem. He's not a good dude. He has severe emotional and psychological issues.
Ramani is just Elder Lyons but female, though? Elder Lyons adopted Madison Li, and other scientists, for the purpose of rebuilding tech they couldn't on their own. And I mean even Madison tells you she left the Brotherhood because they stopped playing nice after a while.
Ramani adopted the scientists because they can potentially be helpful or reverse the damages they have done. Its exactly the same almost.
Im not saying I dont love the Brotherhood, ofc, cause I definitely do. I just prefer it when they do act altruistic. I believe those who can help have a moral responsibility to help. With Great power... well you get the idea.
The West Coast chapters became more extreme due to war with the NCR, a result of the NCR getting hold over the highly advanced (and dangerous) Enclave tech - the NCR was getting into the business of expansionism, and this clearly made the Brotherhood fear they'd abuse said tech. The Brotherhood became the de-facto tech police within the region post-Fallout, so the NCR overturning their position would've made them wary.
Gen3 Synths are an affront to humanity and deserve to be wiped out. They shouldn't exist. Also, how are you going to say nuking the Institute is bad if the Brotherhood does it, when the RR and MM do the exact same thing? At least the Brotherhood can say they want to wipe out its technology due to it being ill-gotten. What do the RR and MM have as an excuse?
Rahmani is not like the Lyons.
-Rahmani handed out advanced weaponry to people with zero combat experience and learned nothing from it - wishing to do so again after finding them throughout Appalachia, even though it has already killed innocents there.
-She aims to cooperate with the Crater raiders instead of wiping them out like the plague they are.
-When the Blue Ridge Caravan loses one of its immigration caravans, she instantly accuses them of kidnapping instead of making the logical conclusion that they were waylaid or ambushed.
-When the super mutant threat shows up in Appalachia, rather than try and find out where they came from and how to stop them, she wanted to send Brotherhood Knights to settlements - turning it into a war of attrition that would've resulted in all of Appalachia turning into mutants.
-When Blackburn is dealt with, two of the FEV scientists have zero regrets and wish to keep going, and Rahmani just adopts them...
-She says the Brotherhood doesn't care about humanity, when her orders were literally to reestablish contact with Taggerdy and aid her in eliminating the Scorched and Scorchbeasts if they were still around.
-And then there's the fact she lies about being sent to Appalachia to ''get her away'' from the West Coast by the Elders, when she herself volunteered.
Man you sound like a West Coast Brotherhood kinda guy here 😂
I agree with the first part sure, but techno fascism is still fascism. Just because the NCR wants to start using Enclave tech to rebuild society doesnt mean you have the right to step in and ruin it all. That ideology in itself is extremely problematic.
And nuking the Insitute is bad no matter who does it ONLY because who knows what lasting effects that will have ecologically on the Commonwealth. For all we know that just kickstarted a nuclear winter.
Gen 3s didnt choose to be made any more than you or I chose to be born. If you are going to condemn the institute for playing God by creating them and then play God by killing them in the same breath that makes you a hypocrite.
They are clearly sentient living beings with wills of their own. That's obvious by how many run away and escape. Wiping out the Railroad is possibly the second most egregious thing the Brotherhood has ever done.
Ramani isnt a perfect person, but her hearts in the right place and that's more than can be said for almost 90 percent of the current Brotherhood. Maybe more now that Lyons is gone.
The Brotherhood isn't fascist, they are just aware of the dangers that tech in the wrong hands can bring. And the NCR is falling into the exact same corruption and problems that the pre-war US fell to. Aside from that, its best troops are being used to protect the Brahmin barons while they're losing thousands fighting a war of attrition in the Mojave, their security detail is so bad they've been infiltrated by the Legion on the highest levels, and a famine was just around the corner. They did not pass any kinds of laws to keep the sale of energy weapons contained, and now you have chem-addict Fiends walking around with laser and plasma weaponry.
If the nukes dropped during the war didn't end in nuclear winter, then the Institute blowing up won't either. And it wasn't like there was much of an alternative - given that most of the Institute was locked. The Brotherhood needed a fast victory - standing around waiting to break through the Institute's divisions would've only increased the chances of defeat.
Gen3 Synths chosing anything is not relevant. They are a threat by their very nature - even the ''good ones'' (see Far Harbor) - with the ability to actively replace humans. They should not exist. They take up space and resources that they don't need (food, water, beds), and those seeking ''freedom'' are malfunctioning.
Arthur Maxson is leagues above Rahmani, given how he actively secures the Wasteland and deals with threats, which Rahmani doesn't do.
If Rahmani had her way, again, then all of Appalachia would've been turned into super mutants. It is because of Shin we got the clues we needed to put an end to Blackburn.
Also, maybe this is more fitted for #fallout-lore lol.
Possibly, but I can see there's no swaying you to empathy, so Im not going to keep debating this in circles. I'd rather run around Appalachia helping lower level players as I do instead of constantly looking down at my phone and debating against someone who cant see the immorality of the Brotherhoods actions.
I wish you the best, but this is where we part ways.
Ad Victorium, soldier.
Nice ad hominem there, bud.
No they aren't lol this idea that the BoS consider all tech to be bad and needs to be stored in a vault is dead wrong, they literally would scavenge old tech, repair it and sell it. That's their canon ending for fallout 1, they would reintroduce non dangerous tech, they hated dangerous stuff like WMDs
And yet 100 years later thats no longer their Mo
They literally lost a war with the NCR
The Brotherhood exports tech from the Capital Wasteland lol.
And yes, Maxson does do this too Lyons did not which was a point against him because he was destroying the BoS by not doing the thing that made them an income
Also the toaster thing was a joke, obviously
Big doubt
Sorry you dont have a funny bone
People have been pushing that incorrect statement for years with no actual source, they just hear "BoS collects dangerous tech" as "BoS consider all tech dangerous" with literally no backing
Except im making a joke, as ive played every single fallout game
My point is they are techno facists
Yet you use it in an argument against the BoS
🤦🏻♂️
An argument that I do not care about in a serious manor because its a freaking video game and has no bearing on my actual life whatsoever
The Brotherhood of Steel have been painted in a rough light for a while. New Vegas showed you what the current west coast brotherhood is like, but you still wanna deny it? And then Fallout 4 shows you that Maxson is a no compromise kind of person. And then the Amzon show gave us a glimpse into their updated ideologies. But still, deny deny deny. The Brotherhood are definitely anti heros at best.
Let's drop the subject please, this conversation is proving to be more contentious than it is worth discussing
I honestly agree wholeheartedly
This was a can of worms i shouldn't have opened i guess lolol
If we can then bring it back to the TV show then folks
We were asked by moderators to abandon this argument because this is neither the place for it nor is it worth getting this serious about. Please respect the mods.
My bad discord didn't scroll down
No worries, just wanna make sure no one gets banned unnecessarily
Who was the shadow figure barb howar looked at
I was getting ready to say that then you beat me 😂
Out of curiosity do we have a timeframe of how far into the future from new Vegas ending that the show takes place I’m trying to figure out if we’ll see any faces from the game in season 2
NV starts in 2281 and the show takes place in either 2296 or 2297
So roughly 15 years
Ok so some of the characters could very well be alive like Boone Veronica and arcade interesting
This is also the first time they straight up said tactics is canon despite Todd saying it wasn't back around fallout 3
Boone would be ~41, Veronica would be ~43, and Arcade would be ~51
Ty for doing the math they definitely could be alive then
I wonder if we’ll see any of them in season 2
Maybe, I noticed some stuff in the trailer that leaves me with little hope for Boone, though.
That sucks Boone has such a heartbreaking story to begin with
Couldn't Thaddeuse us a stimpak to heal his foot
Don't think he had any with him.
I have a question, please don't bully me for it lol, but does bethesda have a say in what happens in the fallout series? And if not are they able to make suggestions? I'm curious because I would love to see Mr. Horrigan in the series at some point, if possible
They do have some say in stuff but frank horrigan died 55 years before the start of the show in fallout 2
Todd Howard is personally involved with the series as an executive producer.
:O
Maxson's ideology is kind of a fusion of Roger Maxson And Owen Lyons' beliefs: he believes that the Brotherhood should collect and preserve technology, and use it to protect the innocent from mutated abominations. Where he really differs from the West Coast is in how he treats locals. Violence against civilians is forbidden, even if they are in possession of valuable technology. Paladin Danse even says this if you kill an innocent person.
This is not the place for this discussion, and it proves to be too contentious. Mods have asked us not to discuss non-tv related matters nor debate about the Brotherhood.
I agree its not that serious, and its not worth arguing, so let's please respect mod wishes and leave this chat to topics related to the TV show.
Thanks!
Please take further lore discussions to #fallout-lore
did we play the same game bro
"yeah it was just that the army was using its resources to protect the money of a big landowner class instead of the people on the frontier's its claming to protect"
Unsure what part of my comment this refers to.
The NCR would have absolutely started building nuclear weapons at some point in the near future.
Definitely.
I always liked that the only way to get max affinity with the BoS in FNV is to keep the nukes from hitting the NCR and Legion - even though both are enemies of them. Shows that the Brotherhood still considers a misuse of technology not something to support, even if it benefits them.
To relay this back to the show... do you think the Mojave chapter survived FNV?
The Brotherhood isn't fascist because that requires them to have a corporate entity in their political structure, the BoS hate over abundance of wealth. The BoS are an oligarchic run psuedo-religious knighthood collective of chapters with a heavy militant doctrine. The corporate element is a major part of fascism to the point Mussolini, the creator of it, preferred the term Corporatism
The BoS is also not a dictatorship, there are rules that even the head of a chapter must follow called the chain that binds
If it's House that's the canon ending, no, if it's yes man most likely yes.
Of course we'll see plenty of BoS because it's bethesda fallout and they can't help but constantly use the BoS
BOS best faction
Guys this tab is for the show not for discussing lore it’s been said several times now please respect the mods decision
I think Bethesda constantly using BoS is starting to feel one note and the show is kinda proof of this. They're the only west coast faction and it's annoying. Where's Vault city? New Reno? The Shi? Why is the show so brotherhood focused when numerous groups would've thrived after the NCR fell
The NCR itself didn't fall - just Shady Sands did.
And the reason there is such an emphasis on the Brotherhood is ||because of Cold Fusion.||
Yes but tv projects, like any creative project, is a collaboration. The writers and producers have a certain amount of leeway which is usually contractual (who can say yes or no to what) but generally creative control starts with the writers and ends with the producers.
This applies to games too btw. Which is why you have such a disparity between things like weapon design between games. Ultimately it’s art and gameplay first, lore second.
The Brotherhood literally blames corporations for the downfall of civilization.
I can understand that the reason the BoS would ||go to the Mojave is due to the Mojave having technology and that it has connections to the NCR and given that maybe New Vegas has the tech too and might have known something about Area 51 which could pretty much have hidden tech that the US Army have been studying. Alien technology included in popular culture, so yes, the BoS have arrived at the Mojave for possible dangerous tech gone amok once again.|| Maybe Maximus might have told the BoS about ||someone responsible for Shady Sands destruction which would give the BoS the impression that Hank might have dangerous nukes or techs he used to destroy Shady Sands and the BoS might have some leads of Hank that lead to the Mojave.|| It's all speculation for sure, but still might be possible in such a case for the BoS.
The Brotherhood would see Hank as being too dangerous to be kept alive, for which they aren't wrong. Although they might wish to interrogate him first, in order to find the location of Vault 31 or other missile siloes, so that they can destroy them.
I cannot agree more. That speculation of yours makes even more perfect sense.
I forgot a detail in the Fallout TV show, that Lucy and her dad watched one of Cooper Howard's shows or movies or whatever it was in the first episode
Makes sense, given ||the reveal in Cooper's flashback that "young Henry" made himself out to be a fan when introduced.||
True, I also just heard Hank call Lucy "My little sugar bomb" I didn't hear that the first 2 rewatches of the show, went over my head
Unpopular opinion but I don’t like the pre-war flashbacks too much. They’re giving away far too many direct answers to things the games were quite content leaving vague. Cooper being a ghoul and thus having pre-war memories is fun and has potential for touching character motivation but Cooper being at the center of the universe and revealing far more than we need to know about Vault Tech and the bombs was more than I wanted to learn. War never changes. That’s all that matters about pre-war America. The rest you’re just supposed to stumble upon in vaults.
The problem with shows like this is it needs to cater to all audiences. There needs to be some substance in the flashbacks, else the audience that have not played or even heard of the franchise will be forced to fill in blanks they won't necessarily have time or resources for.
There are going to be audiences who will do nothing but just watch the show.
It's a fine balance between complementing lore and being like a love letter to the fanbase, and appealing to those who have no clue.
Particularly without taking an alternate timeline.
Absolutely I think it was a decision for many people—the fan service (and my least favorite) but also the people with no context for this world or the games. I can appreciate the decision to dive deeper into the lore, I’m just subjectively a “less is more” guy with world building, and so it was immediately disappointing to see the show tying Cooper to so many prominent pre-war figures and revealing so much about what happened. I still really enjoy the show, overall, that aside. It’s good fun.
Also given the franchise has been running for close to 30 years, it could be argued it's high time some revelations can/should be made.
What's the most likely canon ending for New Vegas based on the trailer for season 2 of Fallout?
But we saw the NCR in Vegas in the trailer
It has been a minute since the events of NV tho. I think NCR is the safe option, and I don't think they'll pick Yes Man.
Maybe House ending but he lets the NCR into his city but for a price?
Sounds like something he'd do.
Sooo.. is the bos ending of fallout 4 canon then?
We don't know for certain yet.
Oof
Probably either that or Minuteman.
Considering it’s the Pyrdwen in season 1 yeah
The canon ending will end up being where Courier negotiates with Oliver to maintain a trade with House but keeping the NCR out of the Mojave.
I'm waiting until season 2 comes out because I'm refusing to do any of the main questlines like picking a sheriff for Primm or who to side with.
Primm slimm is canon
man i realize this is pointless now but remember when vault boy was a direct satire of souless corporate logos
and now he is a soulless corporate logo
fallout has no soul anymore
There's more passion, soul, & effort being poured into Fallout now than ever, between Bethesda and the fans. It's a great time to be a fan of the franchise.
its a horrible time to be a fan of fallout when they made it about anything other than a post apocolyptic theme park ride
To each their own brother.
maybe so but i remember a time when it wasn't absurd to expect a fallout game to be an RPG
they shot fallout in the head so they could appeal to people who couldn't care less about what the games are about
i won't be one of those people who pretends black isle didn't do it to themselves but still
Fallout is still an rpg to this day. But I get what you mean.
fallout brotherhood of steel is still by far the worst entry in the series
Might as well say the BoS ending for fallout 4 is canon. They mention the BoS are in the Commonwealth in the show and the airship from 4 is also in the show
probably not
id bet they are moving to make fallout tactics canon
So yea it's basically the canon ending because the other two require the BoS to be destroyed and minutemen are such a non-ending
there was an airship in that game too, thats what they were copying in fallout 4
That airship was destroyed
still
It's literally the prydwen in the show
Everything points to the BoS winning
i don't remember that
i just remember it being an airship
kind of a lame ending too "yeah fascism rules over the commonwealth sorry guys"
i wanted none of those people to win they all suck
the institute are mustache twirlers the minutmen are grindy the brotherhood are fascists and the railroad was poorly written
Well BoS won basically
you don't know that
I do because the BoS are still in the Commonwealth, the prydwen is in the show and the show says specifically orders from the Commonwealth meaning the BoS have a major presence there
Idk man, there's alot that could lead to the prydwin being there without the BoS winning in FO4.
For all we know, in canon, the railroad won.
With their tech and man power, I agree
they should make fallout 4 not canon because i don't think its written very well
I just want a reasonable justification for whichever end they picked for NV in the show
As long as it aint Legion I respect it lol
what instead of just nuking them offscreen

yeah best i can get you is dirty people living in ruins shooting at eachother from behind piles of rubble for 200 years
the nuclear bombs wiped people back to the pre agricultural age
Not confirmed.
There's very heavily implied things, but they haven't been made absolute.
You're entitled to your opinion, but don't make it a statement of fact until things are made clear.
Things change when franchises establish a life of their own.
thats one way to put losing your identity
Well there's some things we're just going to have to agree to disagree on.
buy your vault boy plushie and play your falloutslop online! Themes? Stories? Social commentary? We don't serve that here anymore...
The world over and I'm feeling fine!
the next game they are going to remove dialogue and perks entirely and turn it into the looter shooter they've been inching it towards for years
Heavily implied is basically confirmation
Bro is coping about literally nothing???
I'm sorry I paid attention to the show lol
You're free to think that. Doesn't make it correct yet.
You can say the BoS won
Their big dumb blimp still being around, the show saying they're from the Commonwealth and their big dumb blimp being recalled under orders from the Commonwealth all kinda point to them just centralizing their East Coast operations to the Commonwealth, which kinda points to them winning
Yayyy
Which honestly Nuka World with more fortifications would make a better base of operations than the citadel
I mean the Prydwen is destroyed in the RR and Institute endings, so....
It doesn't say much. The Prydwen may still exist at the end of the MM. Furthermore, Maxson's guild has moved part of the guild to the Commonwealth, maintaining a large presence in the Capital Wasteland and some secondary bases in the Commonwealth. The East Coast guild isn't going to leave the Capital Wasteland, much less leave the Purity Project unprotected.
Ok, the BoS won is still the heavily pushed ending by the show
It kinda does though lol
Then again this is a show made by people who don't know fallout lore, example being Lucy's vault being like a mile from The Master's cathedral
Or the "fall of the NCR" happening before New Vegas, people living in metal shacks despite several settlements in New California knowing how to build actual structures, they don't even understand the geography of L.A.
Plus project purity is a pointless thing to bring up because they now know how to make another with the Commonwealth having plenty of bodies of water to build around. Capital wasteland is basically just a terrible place to keep as your home base
It's possible they built another. Took roughly 6 years to build the first one, so they definitely had time to work on a new one.
So they built a new one than promptly went straight back into the Commonwealth where there is enough infrastructure and chain of command that they can order it around? So again, the end result is the same, the show is pushing the BoS as the winner.
Even if the RR or Institute won just the fact there is a BoS presence in the Commonwealth is a big sign things rapidly changed that the BoS can have a grip on it enough that they set up a intercontinental communication system and a chain of command there that gives out orders means that they just went back and won there again so in the end the BoS won
Like I said the show heavily pushes the BoS won in Fallout 4
I can tell that your headcannon is pretty strong, but I still disagree that it clearly shows a canon winner.
It;s not headcanon when the show actively pushes it
They built at least three others, but there's only one "Prydwen."
It's also the most boring ending for Fallout 4 honestly. Another issue with the show having no real thought put into it. Institute winning and taking over Nuka World would've been way more interesting.
As far as we know, sure. But that's what the show helps with. Filling in gaps, new lore, possibly a retcon or two.
I'm excited to see how they explain everything.
God I hope not
it could have been done better but it was a pretty good idea
Citadel is extremely dumb as a base of operations. It's hard to get to, surrounded by hostiles, isn't very easy to escape and it's a half-destroyed building that can just be bombarded from one of the buildings surrounded by it
They backpedaled on the S1 airship being the Prydwen before the show even came out, since it was explicitly named Caswennan in Vanity Fair's article. S2 trailer also shows the airship with 'Caswennan' written on it. And the showrunners said multiple times that they didn't and won't contradict any possible endings.
Yes. The MM won most probably
Then I am wrong on that one part but the fact that the commonwealth is still supposedly where a major BoS presence is I'm still going to bet yea, they won. Bethesda can't do anything without the BoS.
Please just stop using the BoS, Bethesda.
Considering they show the map of the 13 Commonwealths, what Quintus says can also be interpreted as referring to the local Southwest Commonwealth
That would also make more sense, because that's where Lost HIlls was and where the Enclave base in the show is supposedly located
What
No I think it'd be the Commonwealth from 4 because that's the only place that has ever been called the Commonwealth. Lost Hills is in New California.
They call the location they are in New California. That's always been what it's called.
Yes, I'm sure when they originally made the show, they intended for it to be the area from Fallout 4. What I'm saying is that it would be easy for them to backpedal on it being the Commonwealth from 4 by changing the meaning behind the line in S1, since America was split into 13 Commonwealths in the lore and they reference that fact at least twice in the show.
Because it being 4's Commonwealth would have the same issue as the airship being Prydwen by contradicting their statements about not canonizing anything
Fall of the NCR
They did a really good job screwing that part up lol
They canonized the NCR losing the Mojave war and then suddenly boop, gone. New Reno? Vault City? Arroyo? What's those only the NCR was a city
Then again the show's writers don't know Fallout lore or the geography of California.
or that Hollywood is in L.A.
Well, yeah, but that's another example - they changed their mind about when the Fall happened after the show came out and claimed that it happened post-NV, even though this doesn't make sense within the show's own plot. And they renamed the airship from 'Prydwen' to 'Caswennan' even though you can clearly see the name in S1. Which is why my point was that they can change what 'the Commonwealth' is referring to regardless of whether this change is logical or not.
God the show's writing room is a mess. Clean house, get people who know the setting in there.
That article does not specify how the name of the airship was validated. Literally that 1 mention of the caption of the image is all that mentions it. Someone claimed that someone on the wiki confirmed through another source that it was it, but that page has been deleted and there's no archive of it, so... implied only.
Yeah i never like the NCR
The issue though is remove 20 years of writing in a reset move that was never popular
I never care about what happend to the NCR. Is meh for me
I don't see them doing a good job with New Vegas with the amount of mistakes and inconsistencies in S1
Meh
Ok?
That article was relaying information from Jonathan Nolan and, as I said, the same exact name is seen on the airship in S2 trailer
Nolan is not quoted on it.
But where else would Vanity Fair get that name from and why would it appear in S2?
The Fallout 4 Brotherhood wasn't a chapter. It was just an expedition. After Fallout 4, Maxson's expedition surely returned to CW and left some detachment in the Commonwealth.
and yet the detachment has the authority to direct airships around and give orders. That says there is way more of a command structure than DC would have.
Especially if it has long ranged communications
The east coast BoS are also the only ones who have vertibirds
because the detachment must receive orders from CW
Show didn't say that though
Show says that the airship with vertibirds which only the east coast has received orders to return to the commonwealth, only location that ever uses that name is in Fallout 4
huh... ok... I missed that bit of the trailer... maybe it is afterall...
That still dont mean the BoS won
Yea the Institute won and they just let the BoS stay there
Who say the institute won?
I'm making a point that the only implication we get is the BoS won because they have such a heavy presence there there is a command structure that can order airships to and from the east coast
They didn't say capital wasteland, they said commonwealth. Two endings end with the BoS being destroyed in the commonwealth and the Minutemen are barely a faction.
Not mean much, The brotherhood may have a presence but that doesn't mean they have won.
Ok Institute and railroad lost
The railroad surely are alive
Based on?
Based on in nothing
Oh ok so they lost
You can't say the BoS won, and I can't say the railroad is still alive. We're at a dead end.
Better to agree to disagree.
I'd rather they actually canonize stuff instead, it's more annoying to constantly be cowardly with that kind of stuff
Sure but let the show do it.
"Oh we can't invalidate playthroughs" yes you can, games have been doing it for decades, Fallout has been doing it
Nah they're going to write something dumb like Vegas was invaded by Crawlers the same day the battle for hoover dam happened or the Legion weren't slaves after all
Dude you can think what you want.
He think is emil pagliarulo
Or chris avellone
You know what Emil did a better job with fallout's writing than the show's writing room and that's saying something
At least Emil knows who the Master is
Alright, putting the room on mute and tuning out.
I have an idea. Maybe the “minutemen best ending” is canon.
Maybe we'll find out when FO5 drops in 2033
Ye
Honestly I love the show so far. I think there is some liberties being taken but it’s fine and I enjoy it for what it is and how it plays it. After all, have we considered the unreliable narrator trope and that the games you play are in a ways similar to Mad Max where they are connected to each other yet a bit different on aspects.
Is the show before or after 4
@alpine comet the show takes place in 2296, Fallout 4 in 2287, so the show is about 9 years later than Fallout 4
may be referenced but not shown as it would invalidate player choices for the Sole Survivor
Maybe just word being spread about them throughout the country
They could be Nate or Nora
Ooh wait I have an idea. A terminal in the vault tec hq could mention the vault and maybe have an error report about how a pod failed
That would be neat
Can't wait to see new vegas in the show
In MM ending BoS doesn't loose, they just don't win. Plus, the SS being stuck in the Commonwealth being the MM general is better for them in term of writing because they can keep him/her offscreen and vaguely mentioned.
Cryptoscam ey?
99.99% chance so lets gamble this one
MM no one loses besides the institute and isn't that the only reason BoS stopped there
Hope house destroy yes man
😭 nooo
And hope to not see the NCR
Lol
Yes. I never like the NCR
🫠
Are you one of them
Caesar's Legion people lol
I dont care the legion either
I've literally seen someone try and claim anyone not in the NCR is a savage lol.
The main idea for NCR seems good but just like every government its higher ups are corrupted 😂
Did anyone notice the guy that was laughing in the vertibird with maximus had an elder coat on
Where at
I’ll dm you once im on my pc if you would like
I could pull up the image from the trailer
Ok
Is it the teaser trailer or the newest one
It’s the trailer from a month ago
If you find it and watch until you see a guy with a jacket in a vertibird thats the Maxson battle coat
I analysed it and it’s not a bomber jacket
Ok will do
It does Match. I wonder if he's meant to be Arthur Maxson though, since there is a fair bit of differences between the two in appearances.
Is it the guy at the 1:19 mark?
The guy in the Vertibird with Maximus
The guy in the brown jacket
Ya
Oh ok
The Ghoul is going to be in 76 this December. Makes you wonder how he got there
Yeah that'll be interesting to see how that plot line fleshes out.
going off the voicelines and character model Goggins has already shown, it's clear that he's always had this cool cowboy persona ever since the bombs fell
it's also confirmed that he gets ghoulified pretty early. likely immediately after or during the great war
Kinda makes sense, he went through an insanely traumatic experience and he started using his movie persona as a way to cope.
Season 1 establishes this with that "old West" character that Howard plays.
Yep this is a point of curiosity. I always felt it would have been around the time the bombs dropped, but since he quotes at the end of season 1 on wondering the whereabouts of his family, it's evident they perhaps didn't ghoulify with him. Let's see what happens.
I wonder how early he slipped into this role. As @red forge said, it's established experience from all the cowboy character's Cooper Howard played. But what I'm wondering is how early did Cooper Howard start fully identifying as The Ghoul. I assumed it would be a long period over the course of 250+ years but it turns out he pretty much becomes The Ghoul immediately considering he looks and talks the same as early as 30 years after the bombs.
He even has the same gun
Just something I thought about when I heard Goggins himself refer to Cooper Howard and The Ghoul as two seperate characters in the dev blog sneak peak
The Ghoul in 76? I'm also curious about his travels to Appalachia 25 years after the bombs fell, maybe some trains were still running or the Enclave were using him as a test subject flying him to Raven Rock and his plane crashed on the way. Could be a whole new series based on his travels.
Adams AFB was still in use also.
So Fallout 76 takes place 2102 Season 1 takes place in 2296 I believe. Bombs dropped in 2077 ,so some how after the bombs dropped he went to Appalachia for some time and back to LA
my only question is why would someone from LA ever want to come to Appalachia the difference between them is night and day unless he has family in Appalachia
2105
I’m sure there’ll be some kind of driving force that leads him there
is there going to be another pop up for season 2 like they had with Filly for season 1?
Spoilers from the PTS ||He's chasing someone who fled to Appalachia, doesn't specify who||
probably motorcycle
he rode horses until they went extinct
He's the reason they're extinct, he rode them all to death
timeline, twentyfive years you probably could walk L.A. to Charleston and think of all the xp you would gain, all taking place in a flashback. Great road trip; I-10 to San Antonio, 35 to Dallas, 20 to Atlanta. 85 etc, probably take 25 years to build the mods to cover the trip.
The Ghoul's first dialogue when he was resurfaced, basically said that it wouldn't be the first time he was being resurfaced for a job. Certainly plenty of opportunity to flesh things out, as long as his character arc between 76 and the show don't trigger paradoxes.
It does kind of imply that he’s been wearing the same cowboy duster and hat for 200+ years
but it’s a small issue when you compare it to how NPCs in the game dress now (ie prewar suits and dresses)
Plus clothes can last forever with the right repairs and maintenance
When does McFarlane cooper Howard figure release officially
What news has been posted about it?
no the dragonborn did that
I don't think horses are extinct in the Fallout Universe.
It's the Prydwen.
It's looking like it could be the Caswennan now. The writing in the trailer is just barely legible when you zoom in enough.
The trailer also shows four other airships - the Prydwen shows up in S1.
I'm referring to this view as mentioned here.
While the article was still visually ambiguous on 1 ship, and overall the article being highly contentious at the time, the 2nd screenshot, being from the latest trailer, is the one that I said is "barely legible" but with enough zoom you can make it out.
#fallout-tv-series message
Wonder where the brotherhood got all that tech to build multiple more airships, cause the prydwen was unique as it was built using parts from the enclaves mobile base crawler at the destruction of Adam’s AFB
probably captured the factory that built the base crawler
It wasn’t a factory it was a single specific base, the enclave upgraded the pre war rocket platform into a base. There was no factory making multiple of them.
or maxson after fallout 4 (whether he won the BoS or the MM) dismantled the entire commonwealth and in those 10 years between TV Show and Fallout 4 the east coast brotherhood managed to become a regional power and they managed to build more airships
Or the Midwest Brotherhood will end up interfering in the Brotherhood's civil war (between Quintus vs the East Coast) since they somehow managed to get the information that Wilzing was moving Cold Fusion and the Midwest is interested in this technology.
Or the East Coast Brotherhood also decided to interfere with Pittsburgh and managed to take over all the industrial machinery.
I highly doubt the commonwealth was created from rarity of enclave technology.
I’d like to see the high elders of the brotherhood, that’d be cool
The enclave never had much presence in the Commonwealth
Which is why your theory is not strong, the prydwen was an outcome that could only happen with the enclave’s technology.
Remember the Mass Function headquarters in downtown Boston and the nuclear bunker at the Glowing Sea?
The Brotherhood had to dismantle many places with a lot of pre-war technology in order to create its fleet of airships (and not just Boston).
At this point, the East Coast Brotherhood has taken over Pittsburgh.
No I know, but the lore states the prydwen was only made possible due to the amount of tech from the mobile base crawler, anyways, what I’m wondering is how did this brotherhood get aboard the prydwen, did arthur maxson die on the journey back west?
Mass fusion is a possibility
Moldaver is still alive over 200 years after the bombs fell... How?
We don't know she was around the whole time do we? I think it shows her at Shady Sands, but before then for all we know she could have been frozen like the overseers
Seems out of character for her to utilize vault tec cryogenics, given they'd even permit her
And then there's the unrealistic coincidence she'd awaken when Hank is awake
Just seems... Forced and unexplained lol a rough combo
I hope they explain it in season 2 but I fear with how it ended they'll probably just abandon her plot altogether
She probably had a motive, and I would imagine a less than above board way to get into it. I think we may learn more next season, I'm sure they will at least hint at it.
I don't see how they could answer it without going out of their way, but I hope they do
Certainly a blemish in the storyline
It probably has something to do with her prewar “communist” meetings. I bet she was an anti-Enclave activist (like the Free States) and used their technology to survive 200+ years.
Yep. Will be curious to see how she survived, but Lucy's mother became a feral ghoul.
Why didnt the ghoul kill maximus in the beginning? If he knew about the flaw in the welding why didnt he killed him?
Please do not circumvent the curse filter, it exists for a reason
I honestly really hope they don't make it so that Arthur Maxson was killed off.
I do wanna know if Liberty Prime is still active because that would confirm one ending for FO4.
I’m hoping it was the Minutemen ending where everyone but the Institute lives
I’m not a huge fan of the Railroad, but keeping them alive could be interesting if they ever bring the show to the Commonwealth
It’d be interesting to see what they’d do after all the synths are dead or free
Cyborg maybe?
I mean Kellog didn't age for cannonically 70ish years, meaning that kinda timeframe for an extended lifespan could work with either a synth or some such
Interesting teaser posters on Prime Video FB page.
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
Season 2 comes out 17/18 December.
"This December 17, it’s survival of the goodest in Fallout Season 2."

Looks like house kill the kings
Is that Vulpes?
There'd better be a musical number with Cooper Howard and the Kings
The funny thing I see, is the 3 main characters are exhibiting some sort of angst in among those crowds, in the meantime Dogmeat is happy as larry among "snip-snap doggos".
Did maximus have crackers in the stimpak case when he grabed the stimpack for knight titus
Probably not, there are plenty of vexillarius in Caesar's armies
If I don't get cameos, references, or idk postcards with the names "Nate" or "Arthur Maxson" I will personally see to Todd Howards yacht being sunk to the bottom of the mariana trench
I’m like 90% sure the person we see flying a vertibird in the trailer is Arthur
I hope so, i saw that aswell but none of my friends believe me
If you look at the coat he’s wearing, it has the rank insignia for a BoS Elder on the collar
i soiled my pants when i saw that elder battlecoat, i extensivly and acoustically analysied every pixel of it and its not the bomber jacket
its def maxson battlecoat
and unless all of the elders order the same outfit from shein with same day delivery its most llikely maxson
Also, what are the odds there’s an Elder that looks exactly like Maxson that shows up at the same time as the Prydwen lol
yeah, also it could be nate something couoldve happend to arthur (my massacre of the predwyn will be cannon)
they got an actor thatt looks early twenties, finally, arthur in FO4 doesnt look early twenties he looks early forties
Is not
Something that just occurred to me, that suits the narrative about Vault-Tec being implied to have dropped the bombs instead of China.
The Vault-Tec rep from Fallout 4. I remember how he's basically hurrying us as a selected citizen to be able to enter vault 111. Wasn't there some undertone of his anxiety about having some notion of knowing the bombs were dropping "soon" but sooner than he was led to believe? Or am I remembering the opening scene wrong?
He’s wearing a bomber jacket
Kumail Nanjiani would be a hilarious Elder Maxon lol
Chances are he’s not Elder Maxson, but his coat is still definitely closer to Maxson’s than the bomber jacket in design.
But more than one coat can exist in a country.
exactly this it aint a bomber jacket
its a almost one for one image of the battlecoat
anyways im excited for the show
was gonna say even after the apocolypse but then remembered they literally had a paid dlc to have the battlecoat in fallout 76 around the time of the steel reign dlc i think (Idk i didnt have 76 around that time correct me if im wrong)
I lowkey wanna see some Alchestbreach and Storyteller references in Season 2
Do yall think will see anything about the courier ? Or hear anything about it ?
Nothing seen, but "hear anything" would be rumour/speculation which cannot be discussed.
Though we can speculate what we hope to be.
Gosh man I hope we see or hear something about the courier
NV is my all time favorite so I got high hopes for season 2
I hope so also Ik season 1 was all about California and season 2 is more focused around Mojave area BUTTTT i so want references to the Vault Dweller or even chosen one, seeing how they were at shady sands they were literally a few days walk from vault 13. A cool reference could be maybe they find the chosen ones car in the middle of the desert or they hear stories about Mariposa.
Hodd Toward better deliver in season 2
Fr I hope we get some stuff about our protagonists
I wonder if they’ll mention Nate from fallout 4
Since we saw the prydewn
Most likely and it would be sick if we got mentions of Maxson favourite sentinel
But I find it strange that in season one nobody mentions the literal Jesus Christ of fallout
Like wouldn’t they have influence even this late on???
If they are having a civil war and theres more than one predwyn it could be very likely that we see commonwealth soldiers fighting such as Nate
Or even like proctor Quinlin
Hmmm okok I hope so man I really hope they bless us with some juicy stuff
I don’t think the courier will have a cameo seeing how they were technically still a citizen
I wonder if they’ll end up going to Washington DC from fallout 3 then Appalachia from 76
Maybe not Appalachia actually they could seeing how the BOS doesnt know of the Appalachian chapters status so maybe they could send a recon. And going to the easts capital could be their play
I read somewhere that someone who’s working on the show said they wanted the show to start from west to east and pan over the entirety of the US
So it could very well be we end all the way where fallout 4 starts
damn I hope so I really hope they go to all the previous game locations n see what has happened
This is rumour.
Oh wait...
If a Nate and Piper relationship isn’t cannon I won’t buy Todd Howard a French bulldog
IDC good enough for me
Not the point, but anyway I reread it a few times, and it's perhaps not what it could be read as.
I hope tho that they don’t do a whole Enclaves back and is the baddies it’s cheap writing
Wdym not what it could be read as
I wrote someone working at the show wants it to spand through out the entirety of the USA how can that be mis read
I read it as a definitive statement of what "IS" happening. Disregard.
That depends on if/how the sole survivor will be referenced. 1 plausible suggestion was mere mention of the Minutemen General.
Would be fire if they do mention a minutemen general, and some would argue oh but that doesn’t conform Nate yes it does, that bum cheeks of a man known as Preston would’ve never rebuilt the minutemen if it isn’t for Nate
And that could tie in nicely with oh, they didn’t blow up the bos airship
And that’s why we see it in the show
Season 2 is more likely to be another ship, the Caswennan.
Some people have said to me oh what if Nora’s cannon respectfully Nate’s on all the marketing and branding and is literally the narrator of the intro AND has experience in the military something that’ll help in apocalypse
Theres gonna be multiple there was like 5 in the trailer on got downed
The west cost elders caught Arthur talking smack on Snapchat so they pulled up with the gang
Isn’t that the one at Area 51
If zetans are a focus I’ll be happy as can be
We don't know. It's the clearest evidence of another active ship since.
What’s likely is somehow each chapter managed to have an airship
And they are fighting but idk who the casweyyn would belong to
Maybe the Texas chapter or something lol
Or Alaskan chapter
That's what we'll be finding out. Before the 2nd official trailer came out, this ship was only rumoured because its printed name wasn't clear enough in 1 gossip article about it.
Whoever wins this civil war would mean they technically are the last chapter. Two scenarios either the BoS chapter is wiped out for good leading to an un-balance in power or something else and the BoS survives
Either way im excited, please Todd an this is for warning to keep your house from getting ablaze because of angry Vegas fans, do the game justice
Im still confused which airship was in season 1
Never got offically cleared up
It's either the Prydwen, or another ship that's borrowed its name.
It really should’ve been clear idk why they didn’t make it clear
Some things can't be "confirmed" so soon.
Especially when it comes to it declaring which ending of other games is canon.
Bruh having a giant balloon Thats only made a cannon appaerance on your previous game should be of up most urgency when putting it in the show
Yeah, well we may find out which ending is cannon in the second season
Indeed we'll see.
Or they may just horribly print each name on the side of the airships so that we don’t know which is which that would be a Bethesda move
So its ambiguity for now could be utilised as a plot device perhaps. We'll just have to wait until christmas time.
December 17th CANT come sooner
Watch the courier and Rex save Lucy and cooper from that death claw in the strip
Absolute cinema

That would be fire
Would love to see that
We could only hope guys 😔
IK the Atom Shop is not canon, but in FO76 you also have Maxson's coat, where it's just called the "Elder's Battlecoat".
The only two BoS chapters that have airships are the Midwest and the East Coast.
Not strictly true. We know the West Coast chapter had them too, given the Midwest Chapter flew from there.
The West Coast Brotherhood has not produced airships for 100 years.
And the chances are likely the Midwestern Brotherhood is destroyed and gone by the TV time. TV might have let the West Coasters build a new fleet.
The Midwestern brotherhood has been without contact with the West or East Coast for over 100 years. They must remain on their own territory.
And by 2297 I would completely doubt that Lost Hills will build airships again now that Maxson is leading the East and West Coasts.
But Lyons' expedition was explicitly sent looking for the Midwesterners and found no one in Chicago or elsewhere, but found a crashed airship, and we know the Legion killed a bunch of them.
Lyons' main mission was to establish himself on the East Coast and keep Arthur alive. The second optional mission was to contact the Midwest. And Lyons has no idea where to find the Midwest chapter, since they're spread out across the region, not just in Chicago.
In addition, the crashed airship can now be visited in Tactics. Furthermore, the Legion only captured Brotherhood scribes, but beyond that, they never had contact.
The House Always Wins camp content ≈ Confirmed Ending? 👀
The canon ending was confirmed long before
There's been no confirmation of a canon ending for NV.
The first trailer of the S2
There was no confirmation of which ending will be canon
Yes. House won
We don't know that brother. But we shall know pretty soon. As long as the explanation makes sense, I'm cool with whichever one they go with.
House won
Dude, stop, please.
Omg I am so excited I just bought the fallout season 1 vinyl set off Amazon for $30 it will be here November 2nd.
Vinyl tends to sound the best in my opinion and love that the fallout vinyl has little extras in it
I plan to buy season 2 vinyl when that releases as well
If that's what you wish to believe, I respect that. But I think we should wait for the show to see what the actual ending is that they chose. I'll leave it at that.
The recent Empire article says that House will be alive and in charge of New Vegas in S2. This is only possible in House's ending
"Meanwhile, the Ghoul comes face-to-face with Justin Theroux's Mr House, a technocrat who knew him as Cooper and now rules over New Vegas."
Ok so the precise wording on what they said is this:
"When they get there, they’ll encounter Justin Theroux’s new character Mr. House – a figure from the Ghoul’s past, back when he was a human known as Cooper Howard. Their war of words looks set to be explosive. “We have a couple of really incredible scenes that are just these big, heavyweight bouts of intellect,” Theroux promises. “It was like doing Waiting For Godot in the middle of the whole thing.” Bring on the fallout."
Would be really helpful to differentiate article quotes from your own statements.
Based on the actual quote, I'd say it's still up in the air.
Yep, this is why I feel, along with rules enforced on this room/the server, if something is to be quoted, make sure it's quoted in entirety, so there's no loss of translation/intent.
Ok im going to sound like a big idiot but a week or two ago I finished the show. I've played fallout 4 for about 2 years and 76 for give or take 6 months. So is moldaver the ghoul's daughter? I really didn't get the gist of that. This was an absolute amazing show btw. I wish it had minutemen and railroad at least mentioned in it (maybe it did idk)
I know someone made the theory of they were gone by the time of the fallout show. However I think possibly they could be in season 2 here's why
The whereabouts of Cooper's family is presently unknown. That's the premise been set at the climax of the episode.
In fallout 4 when you exit the vault you go back home to codsworth. He talks about 200 years later. in my case (nate) says "200 years?" and then codsworth says "A bit over two hundred and ten actually" If i remember correctly the show takes place in like 2300 or around 2290 because the bombs dropped in 2077. The minutemen and railroad are both present in the fallout 4 game and they are considered major factions. Of course the BoS would be in it because they are spread out all through america. But I think that there will be some sort of mention or appearance of either minutemen or railroad in season 2. I know that they are only in the commonwealth but I think it could be possible
You see I thought moldaver was jamie because of the resemblance.
Towards the end of the season, there were flashbacks to Cooper being introduced to Moldaver pre-war.
So no she would not be his daughter.
Because we will (hopefully) find out how jamie did or did not survive the bombs in season two. Because all we know is cooper became a ghoul from it.
She is who influenced him to listen in on his wife's business dealings.
Oh i remember her
What is not yet established is how she remains the same between those flashbacks, and the modern day setting of the show.
I think cooper knows jamie is alive because I think in the last few episodes he makes the comment of "I wanna know where my gosh darn family is"
Chronologically, the last time we saw anything about his family, was when the bombs dropped at the beginning of the first episode.
All other scenes we saw of them were flashbacks prior to that moment.
Yeah
I think that jamie is either a couple of things based off the show
1: she is dead
2: she is a ghoul
3: She is hiding in a vault with cooper's wife
4: She ran or cooper got her to a vault
Who's Jamie?
You mean Janey?
So we saw Cooper evacuating that birthday party gig with Janey at the very beginning, when the bombs dropped. Given he "asks" in the last episode of the whereabouts of his family, something clearly happened since then, much that has yet to be uncovered, so much so that even Cooper doesn't know, given the ambiguity of his question.
So at this stage, certainly anything is possible.
Just based on show information I would have assumed that Cooper's family was just in Vault 31, but since we now know he wandered as far as Ohio after the war, I guess they could be anywhere. I figure he managed to get his daughter to an evac point with his wife, and then once Janey was onboard the vertibird, Barb ditched him.

The quote I posted is on the second page
Besides, even the quote from the shortened version says that they'll meet House when they get to Vegas, which means he will still be alive at that point
Not much info on this yet, but the main cast are going to be in Sydney for a Q&A later this month.
https://tvtonight.com.au/2025/11/fallout-stars-are-sydney-bound.html
No details yet on where it will be, or where to book, due to likelihood of limited seats.
Likely George St Event Cinema near Town Hall. It's often where celebrity/VIP events are held.
It must be the pre-launch gala for Season 2
Fallout stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and goggle impresario Walton Goggins will hit the red carpet at Sydney’s Hoyts Entertainment Quarter later this month for a special preview screening of the first two episodes of Fallout season 2. Fans can grab a moment – or try to – on November 24, while anyone lucky enough to get inside will be treated to an exclusive live Q&A.
Ok so we have a location... but still yet to find any info on the event itself.
"exclusive live Q&A" I suppose that's why...
Maybe it requires more than just Hoyts membership. I don't have an email about the event... yet.
I've submitted a query to Hoyts about it.
Response from the operator of the venue (Hoyts).

I thought the show was going to feature bugs/glitches to capture the essence of bethesda material. But watching the season twice, I did not notice any such things.
For the Power Armor having iron man like helmet opening, I would laugh if after 200 years, the ones with power armor such as the BoS just found out they could do that helmet face reveal thing and go "I didn't know we can do that", mirroring Shrek 4 reference. lol
Anyone else hoping that as we see more of the enclave we get to see the x-01, x-02, and hellfire PA?
X-02 doest exist
And neither will the enclave appear using an unused pre-war prototype like the X-01
According to nukapedia, x-02 is creation club content. That content is not canon.
So yeah I wouldn't go about thinking CC content could be included.
Tbh the enclave rn feels more like germany ww2 (idk if i can say it)
More than america (not including the eliminating wastlander thing)
Bos feels more like america with theocracy
Fo3 enclave fairly feel like america
Academic observations are fine, but this is all perhaps best for #fallout-lore
Okay but qq woulnnt tv series can be grouped as lore
And also is the series bos very different from game bos
Not really. That'd be like saying FO4 can discuss things about FO3, and so forth.
There isn't that much fleshed out yet on the lore of the show.
The West Coast Brotherhood from TV Show are just a small group of idiots who stray from the codex and the ideals of the Brotherhood.
kk thx

Guys if were going to new vegas in the next fallout season and mr house ending was canon
ARE WE gnna see the COURIER
I prefer not see the courier
YWAS
Why not hes so peak
If we get no courier we should at least get mentions of the courier
We don't know for absolute certainty yet.
"And what I do, is I know... everything..."
That is such a good delivery.
I've only played like 5 minutes of NV.
I like to believe that with House's victory, the Courier dealt with Oliver to open NCR's trade eastward, and then, after the collapse of Shady Sands, NCR tried unsuccessfully to take over Vegas.
House's economy will continue to function if he manages to negotiate with the caravan families and the Brahmin lords.
House still has the Lucky 38's anti-bomb system
We don't know for sure. Let's wait and see what happens in the show before claiming the canon ending.
Well let's just wrap up the whole thing then. No need for a season 2 if that's your take on the matter. Show's done. End of production.
Unless you can give us sources of absolute undisputed certainty and verified authorised outlet that gives that info, keep it to implied or just merely your opinion.
Whether or not your viewpoint is confirmed once season 2 does go live is beside the point at this stage.
Let’s not say speculation or misinformation please
is season 1 good ?
Pray to god the enclave wins for once in season 2, that’d be pretty cool
but the enclave is not in new vegas
only some old remnants
If the Enclave wins there won’t be a Fallout universe left to make games in…
35 days left or something until Season 2 comes?
Yes.
It's really good. They nailed the vibe, the look, the writing & pacing was on point. Worth the time to watch it.
It does drag for a bit to surprise the non-fans that ||Vault-tec is... bad!||
Who said new Vegas is all of Nevada, there are some military bases in the tv show trailer that aren’t inherently near new Vegas
Or we can make the religious brotherhood the bad guys
Cause they kind of are, also they def were having a civil war, in the trailer, let’s pray the non religious legion esc brotherhood doesn’t win, I hate elder Quinn so badly
Each faction can be considered the bad guys.
Except the followers. The responders. Free states and etc
OP was speaking on the show, and mentioned the major factions. I was also speaking on the major factions, but I can see how that wasn't clear at first.
Oh right
All are bad except the east coast BoS and house
House is definitely not good, but I guess it's all up to perspective.
Yes man is more good than house and he had Chandler bing controlling him
Are you sure?
Well if it's based on my usual playthrough , then yeah I generally leave Vegas in my hands, sure there's probably gonna be some form of uprising nothing a little bit of security on application can't fix, failing that Boone just domes
House is pretty awful. But the thing with New Vegas’ endings is that none are ideal. But I’d personally say Good NCR ending > Good Independent ending > House ending > Legion Ending.
Since this is a chat about the fallout TV show I just wanted to mention I'm also making a fallout TV show but animated, no I don't have a lot of resources or experience in this but hey one day some random pair of brothers just decided to try and fly and it worked out for them so I might as well get this out there
So you know if anyone knows what I'm supposed to do with it now that would be great
House > the rest
Are you doing fanmade material, or intend to monetise it?
It's an original story by me In The fallout universe, imagine hazin hotel or something like that. That's what I'm hoping for to make it a whole big production
. It takes place in Chicago Illinois in the main premise is about the human psych, I'm planning on using the animation style for arcane it's by a French studio
