You have to train your muscles to be pretty coordinated ngl. I use to suck at every shooter till I sat down in aim labs and played OSU. Building the hand eye coordination with mouse or even controller is key.

unfortunately my brain doesn't work very well so my hand-eye coordination is suboptimal, so even if i tried something like AimLabs it wouldnt make much difference (believe me, i tried)
plus making that transition between Console and PC led to a huge spike in difficulty

@steady coyote Ngl I wouldn't call your aim bad based on CS. it is a 20+ year old game with mechanics that arent entirely intuitive at least as we know them to be in shooters today. I don't classify CS as a competitive shooter the same as I do something like R6, squads, or arma. Those take real accuracy.

I play tons of iracing and own a nice sim rig to go with it. Let me tell you I agree. The skill, time, and effort put into learning to race fast is insanely more vast than it is to play a shooter competitively

unfortunately since im still at uni and dont have a proper job, and also want to keep both kidneys, i dont have iracing just yet, but i am planning on getting it at some point
for now i just drive on ACC, i'm around 2-3% off some of the faster drivers i know, and it's that last few seconds that are just so hard to try and cut down!! it's like. tiny mistakes throughout a lap that all add up and lose me a lot of time overall
lots of cool communities out there, i've managed to meet so many awesome people through there ngl, places like ACM and Phoenix have been super cool to me and have let me try out my skills against other drivers and helped me to improve massively

Honestly man I wouldn't worry too much about the sim you play or how much it costs or even your rig.

Most sims do a pretty good job at portraying racing and the etiquette. I enjoy ac, acc. But I did fall in love with iracing even though it can frustrate me with the people on the service at times.

I do find myself looking at how much money I would have saved had I not started iracing. Its alot.😂 😭

There was speculation originally at release that the game only had 8 planned seasons but honestly, I don't see that happening anymore, we're about to hit Season 6, there's a 100k major in Q4 this year, there's no way they'd just drop the game after that, especially with it being 1 of only 2 games they're working on atm

with the simracing popping up, if you enjoy the variety iracing has to offer but don’t want to shell out monthly payments + vehicle add ons.. Highly suggest trying out “LowFuelMotorsport” which uses tons of free AC mods and i’ve always had a blast, great ranking systems, great rotation in tracks and cars. Really can’t be beat for being free. Mods are all tied together per rotation on their website too, it makes it very easy to get started.

agreed with the annoyance of having the ego drivers, but once you get out of the starting rank, genuinely gets a whole lot less of a pain in the ass. they make it easy to gain reputation also. you don’t need to be a top 3 finisher every race, you just need to be clean and gain a few positions: in that case if you just under-qualify yourself and let people crash out and get a clean finish, you will be out of the max verstappen wannabe lobbies quick.

I can't remember which game it was, I think it might've been unleashed, but one of the games had a map with a bunch of rusty pipes (similar to the pipes near the Miracle bowl in Skate 3) which you could gap between forming a nice little line

I'm not a fan of how Fortnite does exclusivity. At best I see them bringing back free battle pass emotes like the standing bow but they're kind of locked in a legal position to never be able to sell previous battle pass skins again

Late flips look awful. Character customization is lacking, I can't even change the hair color on the female skater, there's a lot of little jank things that annoy me when trying to do certain things, like no-pop double grinds, or any kind of transition at all, and to be frank the community management is some of the worst i have ever seen. Completely eroded any faith I had in the game.

sxl is easier to mod. depending on what discord you go to.. i think session has more mods. and more detailed. session is just harder to mod. session modding has 30,000+ members still posting stuff recently.

Easy day doesnt release cool park's. They dont even make them.

They take the parks from community members and port it to mod.io.

They haven't done an original update in years. Everything they do is ripped from the community.

Easy day failed and creature studios under delivered on the quality of their game when they released "1.0" which still plays like a beta.

It's no surprise these games undergo so much scrutiny. Both are good in their own ways. But still squandered the potential they once had.

Stats isnt needed to make the game fun but it's a nice touch to make things more realistic and less floaty.

To be fair tho easy day kinda dug that grave for themselves. They stopped listening to the community early in the beta shortly after Dane left.

Also it wasn't like they had to implement stats to the game. Just a UI to adjust small parameters.

That's all DawgVinci did. Create a UI that interfaces with SXL physics engines. Basically giving us what's already in the game.

BMX Streets by mash games is your best bet for a BMX game.

It's still getting worked on in the background. He has been doing tons of testing and innovation on his physics test play ground called mashbox.

BMX streets should be getting its next updates sometime this year.

He also is in the military so he has limited time to work on the game but he is still trying and doing good work. Give it time.

BMX streets is the closest thing to skate for a BMX title.

Also he's a one man show. He and he alone works on this game.

I found a solution on the debate of skate being free with micro transactions and not a game you pay for. My solution is that people who want to pay for skate simply spend 60$ on micro transactions. That will equal buying the game 🙂

Did you know that skateboarding was originally planned to be in Fortnite? There were skateparks all around the map for an event that never got used because they scrapped them, there were even challenges dedicated to using the skateboards but they never released either

The skateparks were also all in the air and indestructible, and usually something being indestructible means it's required for a challenge or is important

Much like the cancelled basketball and football minigames, I'm guessing they decided it wasn't worth it

Instead we got a Valorant CS2 like mode, and Lego FN GTA, so, yeah
