Just found out that a really good park got demolished, I don’t live in the area so I didn’t really know it was happening unfortunately, I learned how to jump down stairs at the park including the 3 set in the top picture so I’m extra mad/sad about this one, R.I.P lonsdale skatepark

Seeing it tightened down so tight makes me think you need to get some stiffer bushings, because having it cranked like that is just destroying the ones on there.
It does look a little high at this angle, is that the stock kingpin or a replacement? Is it really sticking out like that or is it the angle here?
It shouldn't hinder anything with ollies as that won't make contact with the ground, but it could catch if you tried to grind something.

I've heard a lot of good things about ace trucks. Haven't tried them myself. Just double check the size is correct for your board width, I know some truck brands make it confusing to know what size board they are made for. Overall looks like a good build

I swapped from indy trucks to ace awhile back the AF1's are indestructible and i ride bones bushings too

I use jessup on my current setup too

I cant say much about spitfire wheels since i personally dont use them

But i have a friend that loves them

If anyone has questions about stuff i love to anwser and help out i look into alot of brands and skateboarding history etc. Especially trucks and brands such as bones and powell peralta

The bones reds are a good choice personally i ride bones Swiss the expensive one

And if 8.38 is your thing then go with it but really try to make sure your trucks will fit the width of your deck

And u could save money by getting a not as wide grip tape since 10" grip tape is sorta over doing it for a 8.38, if you got a 9 or a 8.5 inch grip tape it could save you some cash

Used to skate when i was about 14yo. Heard a big crack somewhere between layers one day and stoped riding since i had no money for new gear and didnt want to brake a manufactured deck. 😢 Sadge. Now it sits above my bed and protects me from nightmares 😂

honestly, i’d recommend skating again now. skating is amazing for losing weight considering that you’re actually having fun and being active at the same time
i had a pretty big break from skateboarding (talking just nearly 6 years) and gained quite a lot of weight. got my new board on the 8th of july and i’ve just started to skate again for over an hour or so whenever i get the chance in the week and i’ve lost a little over 5 lbs with no big diet changes
i wouldn’t sweat being a bigger skater too much. just go skate and have fun man

I'm really scared of snapping my Board due to bad catching and landing. tho Thats what happened to the old one. and i was a lot thinner back in the day.
