like that stuff existed in Yakuza but they were their own loops and all of it revolved around giving you more reasons to play the minigames and even engage in unique boss fights

if you put something like that in game it needs to be interwoven with either the core loop or side loops

its honestly so disrespectful, people spend so much time writing everything just for it to be ignored and instead of reading it people just ask in a general chat..

and that's what you want to minimize, you want more people to spend less money, ideally almost no one spends more than they would have spent on the game if it was paid with some dlc and no mtx, and the number one thing you want to avoid is regretful purchases

that starts by not doing any sneaky psychological tricks but I think you should go further, if you buy something you have an entire day to trade it back for in game credit you can use to buy something else

or at least some amount of time to undo the immediate feeling of "I shouldn't have done that" that often comes after a purchase for those of us who are impulsive

if it's a day people might just be swapping between stuff and constantly trading it back but maybe make it like, 1 hour of play time (make sure it's play time in case circumstances like an internet outage or something like that happens)

I'm the global community manager for the skate. franchise and Need for Speed franchises.
The role of a CM is pretty big - community engagement and management, sentiment and conversation analysis, I run the player councils, live events, shipping of all gear/goodies (I pack every skateboard or swag box that gets sent out). I create and drive the strategy to keep our communities engaged, happy, and chatting - and I provide reports to our devs on all of this - and of course act as the conduit between the community and the dev team so YOUR voices are heard. I also help craft messaging, deploy announcements, and build community platforms.
And that's about 1/10 of my day.

I export every thread in the suggestions room into a Trello board via IFTTT. Then I run a script in that board to look for similarities and duplicates, merging them. Then I export that to an Excel doc, then sort again and add it to a GSheet and send it to the studio leadership team to review.

They take that, look at their vision for the game, share specific parts with various team leads (audio, graphics, gameplay, etc.) and see if those ideas align with their plans and or not. Then they build stuff.
It's a whole process.
