They’re pretty much simulation. Each stick is a foot, shoulder buttons turn, triggers are hands. Learning curve is a bit high, but super satisfying when you land a trick smoothly.

Every EA game requires an EA account and PC EA games launch through Origin, even if you buy them on other online services like Steam. This isn’t a confirmation of anything, just the state of EA games on PC.

The Origin/EA Desktop team worked to make an “invisible” or background version of Origin for Steam games when we got our other titles back on Steam after a long hiatus.

We’ll definitely have all the necessary info for everyone as we start to talk about the game.

The rumor mill is another reason I realized a few days ago why the older I get the more I dislike April fool's day. I already had to sort out real information vs fan hype/speculation/misleadings/down right lies on a daily basis. I don't need a special day where when I log on online and have to wonder if an article dropped is legit or a really bad attempt at a joke that is vague if it's a joke or not. If it's very clear it's a joke from the beginning I can get with that.
The only reason I'm still salty about a day that happened 5 days ago is because my Google news feed is suggesting me April Fool's articles so I still have to second guess stuff.

For the last one any game in the franchise was fair game. The vid I won with had all 3 games in it. (Though I mainly used skate 2, but that's just because I like the spots in it)

Since I can't submit for this one, what I would do is look at some irl skate videos/parts to try and emulate the tricks and vibe as best I can

You can use all 3 titles (or even Skate It), minimum resolution must be 720 (if you can upscale to 1080p that would be dope). No music of any kind (to avoid DMCA issues), 3-5 minutes in length, unlisted on YouTube.

While the filmer pack is a useful tool, I believe in you. If you have a keen eye for what looks good and realistic, you shouldn't be at a disadvantage. You won't be dinged for not having the pack - and those that do won't get an automatic bonus.

If you mess with the tripod camera you can get some pretty good shots. Takes a bit of frustrating effort sometimes to tweak just right, but it can end up looking really good when you figure out it's quirks

^ and this fine-tuning is why the contest runs for 6 weeks. To give folks tons of time to get the right shots, angles, and whatnot.

So the tripod has a max set distance it wants to be from the player at all times. Too far away and it starts "following" the player in a way until it reaches its set spot you put it at. Set it up at the end of the run and then rewind so the skater is far away it drags to the player

I have thought about getting a SimCity tattoo - legit- because I really loved the old franchise and I was actually able to convince my architecture teacher in high school (early 90s) that it was an “interactive city planner and management program” so while everyone else was drawing houses, I was exporting game files and images of the city progress and success.

it's a super in-depth process of a bunch of bank robbers gearing up and preparing to rob a bank, but when they actually rob the bank it pans to a group of skaters across the street, and the joke comes in when the security guard is hassling the skaters while an actual crime is in progress and he's just completely ignoring it to punish the skateboarders
