There’s new bugs now. You get dragged into co op challenges randomly when you’re not even in a party. Vee murders u when u finish challenges and u have to force restart, and the game crashes and u get an error code after doing challenges sometimes (OTL included) so u could complete own the lot with a party and ur game would give u an error and it wouldn’t count and u have to do it all over again. Just a few that encountered multiple times today while playing. I never had any major problems with bugs besides minor ones like the invisible players (I’m on ps5) PC players have been struggling with the worst bugs since day 1 but now they gave us console players game breaking bugs too that make the game unplayable at times ☺️

Idk if I'm being optimistic, but I hardly see any bugs. The only ones are like the void box moments when you open up the replay system, mess up the camera angle, then return to game, it'll bring you to a void - in which you cannot get out of unless you restart the game.

Other than that, I've hardly experienced any other bugs (Other than the fact that my missing 2800 SVBs that I spent $36 on, and still no response from EA)

i didnt go through the hole, but slowed enough to caveman to a dead stop on the ramp
i had to push to triple flip on the 2nd ramp
the impossible i did at max push speed on 3rd ramp and it wasnt enough to get to the canal so i had to manually jump there off my board, get back on the board and it counted
challenge wouldnt end until i jumped and spread eagle across to the other side of canal

Everyone is saying they shouldn’t have released the game this early but tbh I don’t think waiting would have solved many problems. Yeah, we’d have more game modes upon release but that’s about it. They only tweaked the art style and characters after backlash. They seemed genuinely surprised players are upset about the skate.pass. There used to be a bug during the playtest days (I know and what not) that you could roll through the walls if you timed a caveman well enough. I only bring it up because it was fun to do it on the Hedgemont park to go underneath of it, even when there was no normal access to do so. The underneath part would still be "finished" and have objects present within it.

The ones intended for actual skating are mostly good from my experience, some are more leaning towards parkour or 'art', those aren't very skateable, but I don't think that is their goal either.

It was probably my favorite glitch/ bug this whole time of playing. Mainly because a random player taught me how to do it by mime-ing the actions on how to until it finally clicked for me. They then taught it to someone else. It was amusing to watch a lobby try to teach each other with the limited communication methods. The glitch got patched unfortunately. I understand why because you obviously don't want players being able to go into unattended areas, but I miss it lol

I also used Chum Bucket to repeat the 2000m with a manual.
Start at the middle top facing the center of the stadium, Impossible to manual, ride it until you get to the other side as you come back down, go to one of the ledges and grind it, finish at the other end with an Impossible dismount - 2000+pts and 4x multiplier.
Then do it again and break it up through the grind (after a manual) and halfway will get 2000+ pts.

Don’t push the force co op as the main problem because that’s not the issue, the non-replay ability is the issue. If I want to play 8 hours a day and actually progress and have my time playing be meaningful I should be able to do so if I want. This is a stretch, but I could see it being a current tactic to get people to tell others to try the game out. I ended up telling my brother to get it and we'll probably do a few, but our schedules aren't matched up enough to care about grinding through for rewards. Mostly just free skate. The PVP mode I want back in some form is Spot Battle. That was always fun with people you know and just cool because you see how people are playing live from their perspective and how they set up their lines.

i think stackhat has a point. the multiplayer experience within the game itself is extremely lackluster. i have never once gotten anyone to successfully join my party -

• people with Open Parties kick me out shortly after i join
• no one ever joins my party beacons
• no one ever joins my Open Party
  but i know there are plenty of people that want to party up. they're just not on my server. all the cool people i've met to do co-op with have been through this discord, not through the game itself. and frankly i don't think having a discord account should be practically a requirement to getting the co-op tasks done lol.

tldr, the multiplayer aspect of the game is EXTREMELY frustrating on its own because there is no inter-server auto matchmaking.

I do wish I could just do everything on my own, but objectively co-op may be best for the health of the game. I have a solid guy I play with every Tuesday, it creates memories and nostalgia which really keeps players coming back long term if I'm being honest. Awesome to chat with him throughout the week on updates and new drops too. Also OTL is really the only major thing you need co-op for. Everything else can be obtained solo which is amazing. So if we only have 30min to play at least we can do that. Filling an OTL lobby is super easy if you just mass invite players in your lobby for a few minutes by the way. Considering OTL is the only thing you really need to do co-op I think this is a very healthy balance time wise.

i've had plenty of fun co-op experiences tbh, when i get into a duo party i like to try to match my outfit to the other person's, just to be silly. yesterday i joined up with somebody who had the pink helmet which i do not have. so i just wore the multicolor beanie bc it fit the outfit. well we get to the next Challenge Complete screen and they switched to the multicolor beanie to match me! it was pretty cool :)

so yeah, the co-op has the potential to be great. we just need matchmaking

I think the difference with Arc Raiders (and Destiny for that matter) over skate is that, when it comes to the cooperative aspect of the game, both of those games are much more fleshed out in how they navigate co-op game modes, challenges, missions, and overall gameplay.

After all, in a looter shooter, and an extraction shooter, your goal is to shoot & and get loot.

Usually within the confines of a mission with specific goals.

You drop into arc, complete your challenges, and dip
OR
You do a strike, story mission, raid, complete the objective, and dip.

Yes you can do these things alone, but it’s easy to do them with others, incentivised, and most times preferred.

With skate, it’s wildly different.
There’s nowhere to “dip”
There’s nowhere to “drop into”
And most importantly, there’s not as great of an incentive to complete missions together.

Why?

Because the core aspect of the game is so vastly different from those styles of games.

You can absolutely play the game without having to do a single mission.
You can enjoy the game without an objective.
Nothing changes whether you’re in a group of 16 or by yourself.
It’s much more laid back, and lax, in its style of multiplayer.

It would be cool if we made a discord and we created our own gamemode. We go to a spot and try to hit a cool little line then make a quick 15-30 second clip with key frames. Send the clips in the discord and whoever has the most votes (reacts) on their clip wins 😃
