I genuinely don't think the majority of people talking about "realism" in Skate realize how utterly insane most skaters are just in general, but especially in like, SanFran for example. Rain does not stop these guys. It's almost hard to find something that would.

So much of the nitpicking that comes out of this conversation is just a total croc of it because even if it's not exactly smart to do, someone somewhere is gonna do it anyway. Because that's like, a huge part of the magic of skating.

I'm gonna love Yotei, 100%, but EVEN YOTEI will have trouble topping the unique artistic appeal, game design, and storytelling of Clair Obscur. The % satisfaction rate of people who buy that game is extremely high. The vast majority of its haters never tried it and have no idea how its story actually unfolds when viewed from the perspective of a good-faith player of the game. I say this as a person who almost exclusively plays the hardest real-time action games that drop every year, who hasn't played a new turn-based IP outside of Clair Obscur (oh, yeah, and those South Park video games) in 20 years. So definitely far from a turn-based fan.

This is literally a bad launch for early access, even f2p early access. If they released the game with only missions for one neighborhood for everyone, sure, but it shouldn't be a bugged softlock.
