The definitions make more sense whenever you factor in that RPG video games were made off of RPG table top games where you could do whatever you wanted depending on what the DM and the dice determine.
Converting that into a digital RPG game type is far more limiting as you are locked in to whatever has been programmed to happen. but it is what it is.
That being said, a game can be considered to not be an RPG, yet have some RPG elements to it

100% Tony 1-4 as a kid, skate 3, and skate. Challenges feel like a mix between. They became more arcadey but still doable. Easily if you’ve played skate boarding games for years but I still get some tedium.

I know I didn’t word it the best but how so? The pandemic studios Battlefront games are starting wars themed battlefield. The class system in battlefield is the second most important thing (first being the all out warfare modes) and Battlefront (2015) didn’t include a class system.

My complaints with battlefront 2 is the sequel era. This is purely from a content standpoint. It has the least amount of maps, reinforcement troops, starfighters, and heroes. I’d rather it not have been in the game and have more content for the prequel and original trilogy era. Another complaint I have is Instant action wasn’t updated to include more maps and modes.

Im so mad. For some reason my dualsense controller just decided to stop connnecting to my pc. When it connects with bluetooth, it works for a bit then shuts off. When connected with my cable it still doesn't work. Only thing that sort of fixes this was external programs like DS4 but I cant use that because EA's anticheat doesnt allow it. Idk what to do, i just wanna play skate😭

That is true, some single player games do have an unnecessary always online requirement, but the vast majority of single player games (on PlayStation) can be playable offline. Also a majority of games with physical releases (on PlayStation) can be installed completely from the disc.

This reeks of seasonal content and micro transactions. They’re going to milk us for everything we have all while continuing to sell us a product “we helped make”. We want a single player because the other Skate games had great stories. Plus, at least in my eyes, a single player locks them into making an actual product, not something they can half ass and drop after they realize that sales aren’t even near what they project. They’re have a great, fun to play game at face value, but the fact that all this seems to point to more live service horseshit, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Idc about realism or anything that much, i just want a complete product in the big year 2025. I’ll gladly pay $70 now as opposed to feeling like the game is designed on me dropping money every month on it.

Ever since skate3 all I wanted was a MMO style skate. game that opened up the world's free skating online mode that could have a large amount of skaters all together chilling and having fun.
We're getting that skate. MMO so many of us wanted (but seems many forgotten)

I don’t play Fortnite, but I do understand why its so big. I’m going to play Skate regardless. I’ve been playing the series for years, just like you guys. I’m just saying we should be wary of them pulling the rug out from underneath us. Its EA, and I don’t trust them to not monetize it in a predatory way. I’m also worried about the longevity, as I don’t see the Skate community expanding to the size of Fort.

look at mirrors edge for example, sure they shut down the servers, but it’s still a good game, even with the remake.
The sims, despite being a lot of DLC, they don’t force you to pay real money to get further in the game

I didn't myself because comp and pvp wasn't my thing. But an open world where I can build and coordinate with players to do some fun lines together, that's what I want. Imagine getting the entire 150 player server together to all hit one rail kickflip to blunt one after another in a train
