I’m having issues also amongst many others apparently. What’s happening it seems is nobody can get past signing into EA. So we can get to ea.com, but when we click ‘Sign up’ for the playtesting it redirects to the exact same page no matter where you click sign up. There was a thing coming up saying the website (ea.,arcsivr, etc) wasn’t secure and your information is at risk blah blah as well when people tried to enter but if you just go on the website regardless it again just redirects you to the playtest home page. It’s been going on for at least 3 days now and there’s at least 1 post on the forums about it.

Depending on what sort of skating you wanna do there’s different width decks too, but getting back into it I wouldn’t go anything narrower than 8.25”, more surface area for your feet but still small enough if you want to do flip tricks

It’s all personal preference when you know what you like though I like 8.6 and big 58mm wheels

Session is pretty neat. It's a simulator, so don't expect a pick up and go kind of play you get from Skate or THPS. If you buy it on Steam you can get your money back if it's not to your liking. i use to love doing tricks at 8-10 years old, but i ended up breaking my board and i got a skateboard at 18 and i was so nervous for no reason to try and trick or anything

i could only do standstill tricks, but they were all really sketchy

i defo want to get back into street riding or something, just gotta build my confidence up and remember not to be scared of eating the pavement

That’s awesome you got back on board, it can be pretty daunting having a long break but you’re literally never too old to learn. Skating is one of the hardest things to do but equally one of the most fun and rewarding things

honestly, it was a pretty cheap skateboard i brought, i ended up somehow snapping the base of the truck, and the board riding of a curb, but id defo want to try skating again

my mate showed me this one trick, he picked the board up and acted like he was gonna throw it on the ground and break it, but perfectly landed on it

Ah yeah some of the parts can be a bit weak, if there’s any local skateshops let em know you’re getting back into skating, they may know some locals with secondhand stuff
