Frankly, I'm hoping that it won't, I've always found tricklining videos abnoxious, if I'm put into a match with someone doing it in real time I'm just uninstalling the whole game, I'm not even gonna lie.
I can barely deal with people doing maneuvers in FPS's, if some Timmy defies gravity at mach 5 in front of my face and just wipes the floor with everyone else in the match, I'm just walking out.
At the very least, I hope there'll be a way for end-users to ignore other players and avoid being matchmade with them. I was gonna say "oh yeah just let them tag their account with a 'trickliner' tag" but frankly you know people aren't gonna do that even if it's enforced

just skate around till you find somewhere that you consistently fail at, like your tricks are always sloppy or you always fall...then just skate the ever living hell outta it till you master the spot, or set your own trick challenges, like "i gotta double heel into a nose slide then 360 shuv outta this specific rail" deceptively fun both online and with a board

i mean i understand your worries, skateboard culture is very heavily connected with expression, we all dress our own specific ways and im a lil worried the free to play model of games is gonna ruin that aspect of skate, i got a friend who works in fashion and her whole thesis was about the connection between skater culture and the fashion industry, fashion/style plays a big part in skater culture even though alot of skaters just wake up in the morning and throw on whatevers clean haha

skate 2 is the goat, sadly its not backwards compatible so i think if you ever wanna play it you gotta pick up an old 360 and get a copy, if you ever decide to do so you will love every second of it, it doesnt have as many tricks as skate 3 but the vibes/world are unmatched, best skate game point blank period

You mentioned progression is stunted. The sticker is just showing you that this isn't the case. Cosmetics are cosmetics. Nobody forces anyone to buy them. You'll be able to play the game without it and no issue. That's all I was trying to add.

oh, that's because the server went nuts on Tuesday and 4200 folks jumped in with 90% discussing playtesting stuff they shouldn't be.

so we had to slow the server down a lot to get things stable. I'm working on some things to get the server back to normal today, including reduced slowdown and re-opening channels.

I think this is the BIG stipulation that a lot of people have with games, but when it comes to a game that is specifically based around your cosmetic looks i.e. your brand, your character, your board etc then there are valid concerns but it's only something that will be seen on release I think.

I also see that if it IS introduced that from a business perspective it's completely fine, the company has to make money and they're earning it via a community that loves the product and wants to reward that/the hard work from the devs by spending some hard earned cash on themselves.
