get a hall effect controller 🙏 theyre not too expensive, and the sticks have magnets in them rather than relying on plastic parts, which makes them a lot stronger and theoretically drift-proof

first time i've sat down and played a proper new AAA game in probably 2-3 years

ive seen things talk about series s does 4k. what does it do in 4k? and what resolution does skate 3 play on series s?

both the x and s dont actually play skate 3 at 4k

on the series x, it renders somewhere around 1920p rather than 2160p, which is actual 4k

and the series s runs it at around 1280p

they both upscale to hit 4k resolution

i only have a 1080p monitor so i cant really say how well skate 3 looks on the series s, but it does look a lot sharper than it did on my old ps3

from what i know from a couple online sources about the 360 resolution boost, yes.

microsoft doesnt disclose the actual resolutions but people who know a lot about video and display can easily count the individual pixels and guesstimate from there

1280p with checkerboard rendering + upscaling

it uses upscaling to get most of the way there, and it does a pretty good job at it

so it looks very similar to a proper 4k

I bought about 50 used decks and made shelves out of a bunch of them (for my home office and my game/music room).

Oh yeah, the arkham games are fantastic! especially arkham asylum and arkham city. didn't care much for arkham knight. In arkham city you also play a bit as catwoman, and you can swing around with her whip. i remember at the time it made me itch for a good spiderman game 😄

to be fair, Arkham does evoke the state of mind of Gotham.
The Waynes and Arkhams founded the city, basically. (basically light and dark, but not always who you think it is)
The hospital has been around since the founding, and as it was basically self-contained, was like a burg in Gotham.
Most of the insanity of Gotham is a direct result of Arkham - monsters that were either created by the experiments, exacerbated by the torture, or "escapees" sent forth to create chaos.

From my perspective, I like Arkham being the center for the theme - be it the inmates, the hospital, the implied criminal insanity - over it being Batman 1, 2, 3.
By focusing on the Arkham bit, they have a ton of leeway and potential characters to work with, even if they're just in passing.

When I was a support rep many many moons ago, the number of times the wifi was being throttled or bandwidth was limited due to so many connections to the wifi signal was crazy.

If you have a secondary signal/guest network, you may try to run that? (I have a lot of smart devices. So I have two mesh systems. One that connects my TVs and gaming/PC and one that manages all the lights, devices, etc.)

The best option - get a REALLY long ethernet cable (depending on where you router is) and connect directly.

that's the thing. wifi signals have a hard time sometimes in apartments. it's due to the entirety of the infrastructure being shoved in the walls, ceiling, floors.

I had an apartment that basically had a Faraday cage in the laundry room. You'd drop a load of clothes in the wash and you'd lose all cellular and wifi connection. Step back 2 steps into the kitchen and it would be fine.

The NEAT thing about wifi extenders - you can get one that has an ethernet port. So you can "direct connect" to the extender so it's not a relay of wifi. (I've found that helps too)

they range from like $30USD to $$$.

the primary element I saw that I am eager to look closely at once available, is the Volumetric clouds. Granted that they remain existent for the open beta.
I had gone through two PDFs- one from SIGGRAPH-2017 -talking about them and their operation process, noise gen types and mixing them, how they decided to execute the process while using least amount of RAM possible on 8th gen systems. in the end for NFS2017 -game i'm reworking-, they were stripped out completely, assets were destroyed sometime between mid august and late september.

The reason some of the permissions are higher tiers is to ensure that silliness doesn't overpower judgment. Like, if you've been here long enough to get Noticed, you're not gonna go and make an inappropriate nickname for the giggles/to be edgy.

Longstanding, active, engaged members have more to lose through violations so they're less likely to go sideways. (not always, but for the most part).
