Honestly OG skate. probably has the best customisation for me, just because there's so many styles for the same pants for example.

And I found it funny how the first game in the series I played was the skate.2 demo, but somehow when I picked up OG skate. it gave more of an instant nostalgia. Of course seeing all spots I spent hour on in skate.it in HD felt great.

Not necessarily true there. There are plenty of reasons someone would would choose a skinnier deck vs a wider deck and vise versa regardless of height, the width to shoe size/height is just a general guideline that gets put out there

Exactly… there’s no general rule for this. A lot of it is trends too. But back in the early 2000s all the pros were riding skinnier boards. As of recent I’ve also found myself going back down a board size or 2 just for the effortless flick of my tricks

Mirror's Edge is like that

at first you are like "the controls seem so strange! Why are we using the buttons like this"

Portal being mainly a puzzle game I get it's not every one's game type. But it's challenging and the humor is my favorite

It's not even just a nostalgia hit for me. It genuinely checks off the boxes I want in a game and imo still holds up today. Portal two was a great sequel and lives up to the first adding in more stuff without being overwhelming or feeling like things were just there for the sake of being there.

Might just be that I’ve played a lot more recent minds bending trippy puzzle oriented games before it. So when I did get around to it, it didn’t feel like it was really doing anything new.
I can definitely see the appeal etc for it, I think I was just late to the party being a console player until I was like 20.
