If you set the appearance theme to "automatic" and put your whole phone into dark mode, instead of the new dark blue it changes to the old grey.

Though I have a feeling this will be patched out in the future

This also frustrates me because I don't like having my whole phone in dark mode and typically have it switch depending on the time of the day while having specific apps set to dark mode all day. But... Oh well

Doc is just dead? we dont get a reason we're just supposed to live with the fact docs dead, Cruz (yellow car trainer) they dont make us care abt here before too far into the movie when she then drops "i wanted to be a racer" and then we're supposed to feel bad- but its hard when u dont get to like her up untill that point, all the old cars basically only come back for the ending, and mator is just a goofball, no wholesome or other emotions from him- and the whole derby breaking cars track thingy, its just there as filler-
