Right now, if you go to the site - you see "skate. Insider Playtesting Signup" which is for a survey (asking about your platforms - PC, Xbox, PS, or mobile).

THE OTHER ONE is for Madden.

I talked with the Playtesting folks - if you did sign up for the Madden one thinking it was for skate. - don't worry. It will NOT impact your future chances for skate. playtesting. (I confirmed with the Sr. playtesting person right now on Slack.) That being said - only sign up for playtests you want to play and will play and will provide feedback for. You get invited more if you actually do the playtest and give feedback. But again, for the Madden one (that doesn't say Madden), if you signed up but don't play, don't worry this time.

SO - friends - if you register to be a skate. Insider - please remember: skate. Playtests will SPECIFICALLY SAY "skate. Playtest" etc. in the name.

I read this and I agreed. But then I remembered when i was 13, the first day GTA V came out and litteraly ran around the house collected change to get the last $10 I needed to pay the standard $60. People will buy if its worth the buy, best selling game ever.

I think an important part to remember is that there's a spectrum of micro transaction formats - it's not just "Fortnite or Elden Ring". I'm assuming they'll make their money off mostly cosmetic stuff, possibly a season pass, but you won't really miss out on anything if you don't get it, and DLC will eventually be released to the public anyway

The biggest thing I'm not a big fan of with the additive cosmetics and live service stuff is that it's far to easy to have a mediocre game with what would have been standard stuff stripped out for big cash. Fallout76/etc

You can believe that everything is gonna be beautiful, the game is gonna be very well developed, free-to-play, live-service, with microtransactions playin a small role in it. I just don't. To be fair, I even used to, until a few months ago when another franchise I love released a new game they promised would be so good and not microtransaction-abusive.
