It depends on the reward. Some rewards will be snapshotted. Like if you have this on X date we give you Y. Other rewards will be transitory. If you have a complete fire collection you get an emote. Sell one of those cards? Lose your emote.

There are a few v2 systems that will come out around wave 2 that will improve things. For now we need to finalise the sale and the albums.

It's bonded forever. Only way to change an illuvitar once it's bonded is if one of the accessory slots is empty, then you can put only that accessory on and rebond it.

Card game is not fixed yet.
There are only some rough ideas.

But the idea is that it's not directly connected to the other games. But what will be needed is to catch or buy the Illuvial from open world to be able to play the card game combined with your Illuvitar.

At the moment Illuvium Beyond is a collection game which will give you some benefits for finalizing certain collections.
For example a fire emote if you finalize the fire collection or reduced fees for Illuvi Merch and much more.

My opinion is that especially Alphas but also second wave is a store of value as it will only happen once and never again.

During the alpha sale you will be able to mint 10 D1sks at a time. During some livestreams in the voice channel for testing purposes, we have seen that you can mint a combination of d1sks pretty easily. So this may be added to the alpha sale.

The auction is still heavily under wraps because of the newly introduced feature of leaving the Alpha d1sks unopened.

Previously they wanted to market it as 1/1 NFTs, but because of the potentially remaining unopened packs they will have to either step away from 1/1s because there may be another one in the unopened d1sks.

Whether they add a unique background or something is still up for discussion.

During testnet livestreams, the ccs were shown to click +1 on either mega or regular d1sks and adding them to some sort of shopping cart making it easy to combine and buy multiple d1sks. If this is added to the alpha sale it may make it easy for you to buy whatever you wish for.

Misprints refer to missed alpha portraits. Basically a holo smoldering rhamphyre may or may not have been minted when all 120K D1sks are opened. If they are not minted, they will be "auctioned off" in some way. Maybe it is as simple as that. But they have 3+ months to decide on the specifics :]

So there's 100k standard alpha disks and 20k mega alpha disks. When those are sold out, they are gone. The alpha portion of the sale lasts UP TO 3 days. It switches to non-alpha when alpha are sold out. That could take 20 minutes, or that could take all 3 days.

Alpha disks retain their alpha status indefinitely. So you could hold them for a year, or two years. However long you want. They will still be alpha disks.

Eventually there could (should) be a trading card pvp game that would require illuvitars and illuvials. If that interests you it might be worth getting some so that you don’t have to buy them off the market later. They are super cheap now so I would try it out once and see if it floats your boat.

It makes some sense until you remember that fuel doesn’t exist yet. After fuel exists it makes a lot more.

Keep in mind it is “in game transactions” because, for example, Illuvium zero is a game. And you can’t buy land with fuel. Just do in game transactions.

So technically it is all fine. That being said it can certainly be done using fuel if there is demand.

Album skins are things that will be 100% fuel based (or rewards)

What exactly are album skins is it the album cover in different variations?

I would love to invest my fuel also in Illuvium Beyond.
Especially because I want to finalise all the upcoming albums and play the potential card game.

Would be great if we can travel to the open world and also participate in Illuvium Beyond with the fuel from our land.

Once we get a button to make automated transactions with one click to swap fuel->balancer pool->eth->Illuvium Beyond I see this being used a lot.

My vision would be that you can connect your wallet in ILZ and once I have enough fuel I can click one buttom confirm a transaction and will get my D1sks.
Is this possible from a dev perspective?

I think then there are more arguments to release more land which would be great for the DAO as supply for fuel would get much lower if you can spend your fuel quickly.
So the easier the bridge to Illuvium Beyond is the more fuel will instantly be spent!

2. Misprint should refer to the missed Alpha portraits.

The initial intention was to have all D1sks be converted to non-alpha D1sks to ensure that the unprinted Alpha portraits would retain their 1/1 value. They would then be called Misprints because they couldnt be obtained anymore.

If the misprints referred to the overall missed prints then this would be a redundant step in the process because there may still be packs containing the misprinted non-alpha versions.

Now with the new IIP stating that Alpha d1sks can be kept as alpha d1sks, and Normal d1sks staying as normal d1sks, misprints can theoretically encompass both "editions". Now the question is whether it will matter whether it does encompass both editions. Will a single or more non-alpha misprint show up? If that is the case then misprints may be more interesting to revolve around the normal D1sks as well.

So i am not sure. Though I imagine that it should be more appropriate to refer to Alpha portraits regardless. With the 30x minting window and unlimited amount minted and 1/5th the price for the normal versions.

I do would like to know Aaron's take on that:

If I was displaying an Illuvitar (or getting one of the metal prints) I would only want to see the actual image, not all the random info around it. So it seems like the only place you would even see the alpha icon is if you were looking at it on the Illuvidex.

Did you explore at some point a small signature overlay instead of the alpha icon? I think there's value to having an icon for people to recognize the set it came from but with the non-alpha having no icon, maybe a set icon in this case for both something representing "Wave 1" (and better if we can call it something else for flavor) would work better?

Then instead of alpha have it signed by the artist in a cool way in some corner of the card. The signature acts as a proxy for real cards being signed, since we don't have that capability with NFTs due to immutability. Just an idea, in case the team is still open to changes like this. Either way trusting it's gonna look good

But rarity also means which tier illuvials (0 to 5) , which stage (1 2 3) and which backgrounds (tier 0 to 5) and what stage (1 2 3)

And find the rarest of expressions - neutral , uncommon, rare

There is Alpha cards that are limited for the first 3 days for the bigger collectors. These also come with a price increase. You can find a lot of good info on here and Illuvium.io

Holos will be pretty rare as well

If you saw the rarity values for our things you would understand that having 3 months to buy is not a problem.

The chance of anyone getting an alpha holo Blazing Rhamphyre is only about 50%. Getting one with maxed out backgrounds is probably near impossible.

So the only way to do it will be through non alphas. And people will have to buy a lot. A few million packs and I think it might be fairly likely we get a single 3200 power.

Do accessories have an individual power? With a leak of the very old UI, a relative buff of 20% based on the base illuvitar seemed the maximum boost (St3 T5).
Did those earlier numbers change? As a boost of 100% for 5 accessories would cap power at 8K.

No. But they are needed for your collection.

So they will have some use. There are no burn mechanics. We want to ensure we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot if we are able to do a card game.

It’s very non linear. For example rare is 1000 power.

That happens 1 in 13 packs.

So 25% of the max power happens very infrequently.

But don’t worry. The power ring is also non linear so low power things spin the ring a little bit. 😛
