I say "my" minimalist illuvitars, referring to the Illuvitars I'll own in the future which have little to no accessories

Mint date is TBA and you just have to be present to mint. There will be no limit to the amount of illuvitars you can mint, only the duration will be limiting you.
So as long as you are there when the mint goes live, you'll be able to mint some!

On the official site you can sign up with your email address to get news for the mint date whenever that date is known :)

there are different rarities of Illuvials, Tier 0s are like the most common free-to-play assets. Tier 1s are slightly more rare, and T5s are like legendary illuvials.

The T0s are free-to-play and also will be free-to-mint during the Illuvitars sale. All you will need is to pay gas fees to mint those.

As with any collectible, there is gonna be a limited number of those packs and that number will be going down every day. If you want a ramphyre illuvitar you either buy it off the marketplace for a large sum or go for unopened packs hoping to be lucky. Also some people love opening packs of cards so this is a cool experience on its own.

I have an interesting question. From what I understood, we can make a collection, receive its rewards (whatever that might be), then we don't need those illuvitars anymore, necessarily (unless we want our album to look cool). If this is the case, we can set up a channel for verified trustworthy community members to lend specific nfts to others so they can collect the loot (maybe for a little lending fee).

Completing collections 'unlocks' certain things. When you trade / get rid of a part of you collection and it make a certain 'collection' incomplete. You would 'lock' the thing again.

Correct. The backend is empowered to mint them on demand during the sale window and nothing else.

After the sale it would require an ICCP. There are many areas where technically the eDAO acts as a backstop in case something catastrophic happens. So far only once has it been used (for sILV) and that was to mitigate millions of dollars in loss. And we paid the difference so that not even the dao suffered the loss of a penny.

The eDAO, if everything is designed perfectly, never gets used as a backstop and only gets used to execute new things.

The ability to fuse 3 illuvitars/accessories for the chance of a rare expression/backdrop/accessory would be a neat feature.
Ex. If you got 3 basic ramphyres and would like an upgraded backdrop/expression you could fuse them for a chance at a more rare version. If you get 3 of the same base portrait/accessory it wouldnt feel bad(I know they can be sold on illuvidex). This would make illuvitars deflationary and maintain the same spirit as making skins and upgrading illuvials does.

Other guy bought his Rare disk for 0.075 ETH and opened the same illuvitar. And "lost" 0.03 ETH. This scheme sounds dumb.
If you tweak this system to merge 5 illuvitars or smth - we still have aspect of guarantied result instead of random chance in core idea of packs. And tweak the system to consider all this parts is quite tedious

While waiting for album to be ready, allow the gamification of the event + drive sales up with people trying to complete collections … like as a kid opening pack of panini stickers to stick in my albums.

I also want to support Kieran and the team narrative of releasing NfTs with utility and not just to make sales.

I want illuvitars but honestly no need it fast.

Another advantage, let the ILV sellers sell, price of ILV will go down. Illuvitars sale will give more ilv to long term stakers.

Once you have a page filled with the illuvitars with certain attributes it would give you certain perks.
The album is a visual representation of the required illuvitars per collection opportunity +audio representation of added/finished collections.

Illuvitar albums should be seasonal and here's why!

Summary:
When albums and collections are introduced a collector will be able to collect a specific set of illuvitars and complete a collection to get some rewards/achievements. Each illuvial season will come with its own illuvitar set. Albums should follow in the same way.

Reasoning:
If there are collections like the advertised "all water illuvitars" and albums are not seasonal, this would mean that on next illuvitar set such collections will become incomplete. This is bad for a few reasons:

1. It will make collectors constantly having to spend to keep up. Which will spiral out of control.
2. It will make collecting albums less desirable long term. You will not be able to complete something and count on it being a complete set after a few years.
3. It will create a loop in which people will be constantly loosing "achievements" or benefits they have already earned once.

Possible improvements/additions to albums:

• Allow collectors to mint their own album as an NFT.
• Allow collectors to add their illuvitar to the album.
• Allow albums to be sold with their whole contents.

I'm pretty sure the team has this in mind, just sharing my thought on the matter.

1. if I click "Water", I see all water illuvitars that I collected

the reasoning is that, not all collectors wants to collect all elements, some (like me), just want to track our map-specific illuvitars

There might be an incredibly rare chance to find a frost illuvial in crimson waste but not an impossible chance, so to make region specific would be to include all of them

i only brought up the region specific idea simply because before the land sale, the commons were specifically mentioned on each region, 3 at most iirc, and they were one of the important reasons why we bought those lands, and I have think that they only mentioned the base stage (i.e. lvl 1), so there’s likely just 9 (3x3) per region; but again, it’s just some thought because everyone seems to be focusing on massive but generic terms; it would be more interesting imho if there’s some sort of more unique categorisation (a.k.a.) stories than just saying “all water illuvitars here”, “all fire illuvitars there”, etc.

I can't decide if I should get 5 lower tier illuvitars or 1 higher tier. I haven't seen what the distribution is going to to be. Like do you have a 90 percent change of a tier 0 and a .0001 percent chance of a tier 4? Its unclear to me. Or is it like the roll of a dice. Same chance for each tier.

Do i need an illuvitar to play the illuvium zero part. Will I earn illuvitars through the natural course of playing the game or is this the only way to get them? I have so many questions.

I know scoriox and others on YouTube will be opening packs and sharing their thoughts on which one is worth using their experience. Since there will be an unlimited supply of illuvitar d1sks for a limited amount of time maybe just watch one of those videos before they stop selling

From what I interpreted the ultra d1sk has a guaranteed rare illuvitar and the 2nd illuvitar is guaranteed to not be a tier 0. For a basic d1sk you get one shot at a higher illuvitar, the other will be a tier 0. We don’t know percentages and that info may never be released. Therefore, subscribe to the YouTubers who will open many packs and post their analytic findings

Just skimmed over the IIP. Still wondering about the mysterious utility. If it's the collection prizes, that could be cool. But what incentives are there to hold onto Illuvitars long term? Do I lose my prize if I trade away one Illuvitar, breaking the set? Are only bona fide whales going to be able to complete the majority of sets?

Do we have an updated web page ready to go for the illuvitars if the iip does get passed. Could be very confusing to people trying to get information on the sale right now going on the website

Might even take down the page with something like, “potential changes are being discussed, and the information we previously had on this page differs from that”

Also never realized the little “bring your illuvitar to life” on the website. That is pretty fuckin sweet, to see what it looks like to bond accessories on to the illuvials, i can tell this is going to be sweet. I feel like I haven’t even seen any content creators mess around with that function on the website just to show their viewers that they can see what it’s gonna look like
