Yes, most of the times. But as there are only 3 regions now they have to put all of them in those regions. This is the affinity for IZ.....and can give you a good indicator

I keep getting my screen frozen at the start of a round, having to exit and come back.
Sometimes I have it sometimes I don't, but when I do I have to exit at the start of each rounds...
I have reported that bug multiple times (since before the tesnet). It really feels like arena testing has been on a sideline for long.

I get that gaunlet is coming, so you might think like it doesn't make sense to test arena to much right now, but this is a bug that 100% will still be hapenning for gaunlet if it does not get fixed. Same thing for ui pop up that are stuck, it has been months since those 2 annoying bugs have been there.

I can't even type in those channels. Why did the Illuvium devs spend so much time making all of these games if the entire airdrop is getting dumped into Overworld? It feels like you're punishing anyone who wants to play Arena.

You could always distribute 1/3 of the airdrop to Overworld, 1/3 to Arena, and 1/3 to Zero. 30,000 ILV divided by 3, that's 10,000 for each game. And have the point pools for each game separate so Arena isn't affected by someone getting 1 million points for catching a Illuvial. The way this is being done doesn't even make sense. Whose idea was it to penalize people playing Arena and Zero, and why does that sound like a good idea to devs who spent all this time and money making all three games? People shouldn't be penalized for playing Arena or Zero.

Overworld was already getting full focus, almost everyone was already playing Overworld before the holos were added, all that did was royally screw over anyone playing arena. The way you're talking we can assume once the testnet is over that all three games will be completely balanced in how many points you receive from them, but the team hasn't assured us of that. It's just a unbalanced mess at the moment.

For this, must understand how Illuvial lines work. Elk, for example, ador, adoredo, adorius. Adorius is spore mystic, but go back to S1 to find its base affinity and class. S1 ador is nature empath. So, line uses nature for hyper. And composite classes receive 50% hyper from each class. In this case 50% empath and 50% empath for 100% empath bonus. Behemoth 50% fighter and 50% bulwark bonus.

So the people using teleportation and radar hacks are going to get all the ILV? ...lol. The team should of known making those worth that many points would attract cheaters. It was better when you were just awarding a flat amount of points for playing, people generally only have so many computers capable of running Illuvium so the cheating wouldn't of been as big of a problem.

You guys aren't going to catch everyone cheating, you're just going to catch the stupid ones. If they are smart they will make a simple macro to run around the Overworld while they aren't playing to make it look like they have a lot more play time than they actually do, and then it will be much harder to see who is using the radar and teleportation hacks because they will look like a legit player. They can also cheat on multiple accounts instead of doing it all on one account so they aren't at the top of the leaderboard and they will stay off your radar. If they combine these two things I don't think you will even notice them.

The way the airdrop is being given out isn't good.

Just played the first version of Arena: Gauntlet.

Although there are still a ton of bugs to iron out, no team builder makes the game infinitely more attractive. Eight player is also so much better.

Main net will actually help curb the use of this tool because people will have to pay every time they enter, leave, and go back into a T5 zone. You're actually going to want to capture everything when you're having to literally pay money for each trip, right now the game is much more vulnerable to this hack because they don't have to pay each time, they can enter the zone and if there is not a high dollar item there leave right away and then come right back for free. I think it's worst now, people cheating are going to take the lion's share of the first airdrop. With that said, it's actually easy to detect people teleporting around on your server, but right now Illuvium clearly has no defense against this, they need to add it badly. If the server detects someone teleporting around the map it should instantly disconnect them from the game.

True, but perma banning can be linked to IP address, PC hardware and in game accounts. So playing multiple accounts isn't really an option unless they have more than 1 PC and different IP addresses. Then if they get caught again, they have to buy more PC parts. Will become very expensive to cheat eventually - so not worth it

There will be more utility than previously intended at open beta launch.
Ascendant and Leviathan arena will be there, we have never once seen these in a real setting with ownership and better user experience on especially getting started. I think god account setting isn’t good for such a game.
Further maybe my comments were interpreted too negatively, I certainly want to see more fundamental changes personally. I think the 1v1 arena modes are an entirely new genre combining deck building of TCGs with a new way of combat that in a 1v1 round based setting doesn’t have a game to copy so to say. Once that is figured it it will be an outstanding game, first of its kind.
Was the last arena best testing version there yet, no. But we could say the same about previous overworlds e.g. current is tremendously more fun and better partly because more and more pieces come together.

Added to these are gauntlet games, that use Illuvials for cosmetics and in the leviathan mode has them for stats as well. As another layer of onboarding players, with a lower barrier of entry than the arena games, fewer rules to learn, no team needed to build etc.

I think arena isn't going to create enough demand for illuvials for overworld to be viable for people who want to earn money.Looking at amount of illuvials that is comming out from overworld arena will be saturated very, very fast. Its not necesarily bad for the game.Main thing needs to be to actually get players here and have good games for them.It's not necesarily bad financially for the game if illuvials are cheap.Once we have some playerbase there may be added some more demands for illuvials, but game doesn't really have to be completely about collecting nfts.

My take and why I am here overall is Illuvium is the first AAA web3 game, I don’t see why it wouldn’t gather most of the current web3 players, which many are in strategy/card games and I don’t see why Arena/Gauntlet shouldn’t be able to compete with web2 autobattler, card games.
While Overworld is the supply side in the economy the web2 case would even be people just wanna play and collect like in pokemon or similar games.

Has it always been this way? There's some bugs with the latest version of unreal that can cause the game to load only the lowest LODs. But I would need to know more about your system. If you only have a 4GB graphics card then that can be a problem too. Or if you're running on mac. There are lots of optimisations where are doing for this so that we don't have to deal with thousands of edge cases.

But we obviously want the game to look great for everyone. Who did you speak to in Illuvium support that didn't care? I find that very surprising.

If i recall correctly, previous versions of arena in private beta looked fantastic, but it is not the case at least since public beta. i'm playing on windows and 16gb of ram as you can see in the picture, also a GTX3060 (95w) so i don't think that'd be the problem here.
I mentioned illuvium support because i filed it as a bug and sent i believe 2 emails about the issue which were not addressed, which is normal i suppose given they probably have tons of feedback right now. I also posted a LOT of times this issue in discord and have neved had an answer from anyone from the team, which i found weird because they usually are very helpfull. Let me know if I you need more information from my of I can be of assistance in any other way.

btw pc and gpu run smoothly and at decent temperatures while on epicsettings, again i don't think specs are the issue here

If im a 750 rating i should get lets say 750 points for a win 100 points for a loss. So always gaining points but incentives good players to actually play rather then degen overworld

Let me make it clear to avoid wasting time: outside of sleeping, eating and restroom hours, i will be playing this gambling game, yes I call it gambling.

I had information before this testnet 4 and played it when the game officially started but this game has a terrible appearance rate. It's like a gambling game and there are people who just walk around a little and illuvial Tier 5 stage 3 appears while I only saw and touched it once and exactly once, and the holo update and dark holo, let's not mention it anymore because it just makes me go from bad to extremely bad. imo the opportunity to earn real $$ off playing games will be huge for onboarding players. ilv is already #1 play to earn game. i just think when btc and eth $price is higher regular normal people will tune into this space, because we make $. the ilv team also pools up all the eth/usdc we spend and use that to buy back ilv token

Ability to earn $$ for some top players hinges on majority of players willing to just spend on a game , becouse they like the game. It could be some kind of wagers for tournaments or something, but so far i don;t see any initiative to solve it this way.

Hex: Shards of Fate had pretty cool system for earning . At a start of tournament participants were paying for packs that were being opened in tournament, but winners were getting unoppened packs that they could sell on market.Even i could earn more then spend in tournaments and i wasn't all that good in it.But " looasrs " were perfectly fine paying for prize pool more than "winners" becouse game was just good.
