What can i do ?
hi all, I f I LP with 100 USD in ILV and 100 USD in ETH, the APR is applied to 200 or to 100 USD value?
Tbh its probably not worth to stake that less compared too the gas fees
You will get APR over the entirety of your stake so 200$. But you would only get revenue distribution of your ILV stake. So 100$.
The revenue distribution is all of the profits gained through marketing/in-game purchases etc.
Indeed what TheBrian says 200$ investments are too little to be worthwhile with these gas fees :)
I have way more than 100 USD, it was just an example
Oh oke great
when I add liquidity on sushi the correct pair is ILV (first) - ETH (second) right?
Havent staked in a loong time so i dont know :s maybe a mod can fill in! @ember ginkgo ? š
I usually tag @mint cave for these things š

eth first
how do i get SLP to stake in ILV/ETH pool ?
-
Add SLP address to your wallet through #šćhelpful-links
-
Provide liquidity to Sushi with ETH + ILV with the same propostions in $ (example: $100 ILV + $100 ETH)
-
Approve and pay gas
-
Take the SLP you receive and stake it in ILV staking website ( #šćhelpful-links again)
Ok... got it... Thanx Thanx...
Did anyone of you really notice any significant changes of gas costs comparing v1 and v2? I was checking how much it would cost for claiming at around 60 gwei which I used to do earlier with v1 and I feel like it didnāt change much?
Yeah I didnāt notice much change either. Thought one of the benefits of moving to v2 was lower gas fees?
I am trying to stake and the page is taking indefinite time to load. anyone facing the issue? i am using metamask wallet.
Trust wallet works better it's less clunky and faster imo
V2 has less transactions
delete cache, restart pc/laptop, restart router, reinstall MM
sell your pc, build a new one, ez pz
Quick question about upgrading to Staking V2, I staked in the ILV/ETH pool only (fixed term of one year)
To move to V2, I think the medium article says I need to upgrade both "ILV Pool" AND "ILV/ETH pool" (ie so this would be x2 transactions I need to sign)
Just checking this is correct? Does it matter which order you do it in?
Also, for the "ILV Pool" it gives me an option to claim in sILV2 or ILV, but I dont want to claim, I want leave the accumulated ILV staked , so should I select sILV2?
Hey. Upgrading doesn't move the tokens, it just give you permission to use V2ās features.
If you staked on V1, you can never move your funds, locked or otherwise.
You have to upgrade both pools. When upgrading the ILV pool, it gives you the option to choose your pending and accumulated rewards all together in form of either ILV or sILV2. You can decide which works for you.
Thanks!
So if I choose "Claim rewards in ILV", it's talking about future rewards (and doesn't mean that I am "claiming" whats been accumulated so far)
If you choose Claim rewards in ILV, it's talking about your current pending and accumulated rewards. Everything from before the pause (pending) and during the pause (accumulated) would be claimed as ILV.
My ILV-ETH LP is now free to withdraw so the question: is it better to leave it or to withdraw and re-stake it with a period lock? (Iāve already upgraded to V2)
How much is 1 SLP worth in USD? Is there a chart somewhere?
That's going to be up to you and what your plans are with your tokens in the next year(s) š Right now if you leave the tokens there, they continue to earn you yield farming rewards (and soon, RevDis) at the same token weight.
If you withdraw, re-stake and lock the tokens up for a longer period of time than you did previously, you'll earn more yield farming rewards and RevDis with that higher token weight over time. But of course, the tokens will be locked up again... so if you need to access them soon for whatever reason, you won't be able to.
Decisions decisions...
You can check on Zerion
Thanks for that. Iām in for the long haul so Iāll re stake then
Oh, I thought the unlocked token weight stayed at 2.0 as long as you didnāt withdraw. Good to know it goes back down to 1.0 weight
Ah, definitely didn't say that haha.
Unlocked tokens that remain staked will keep the original token weight they when they were first staked/locked š
Ok sorry. Iām just confused how you earn more by withdrawing and restaking Vs leaving it in there after itās unlocked
Ok I re-read it and I get it now. I just comprehended the āearn more yieldā part wrong
Also the āhigher token weightā part
Ahh yeah-- Tikpaul didn't choose the max lock period for that first stake (otherwise their tokens would still be locked) so they did not have a 2.0 token weight. So if they withdraw, re-stake, and select a longer lock period than they used before, they will get a higher token weight š
Ahhhhh, I get it now.
when the staking pool for ILV end in 3 years or so.... how will we get revdis? It says we only get revdis when ILV is staked?
you stay staked. Only staked tokens will get RevDIs, being staked and receiving Yield are two different points.
What would stakedlooklike when the staking pool for Yield is over.... just "stake it?" but is there a period that you can't withdraw, etc?
The same as it does now. YOu just won't get Yield cuz Yield has ended
If you r tokens are unlocked, you can withdraw anytime
Can you leave them in the staking pool and just not withdraw them so you can get them out when you wnat to take them out?
yep. just leave them in the pool and don't touch them if you want RevDis
unless there is a Proposal that changes that
What is redvis? i keep reading this
The DAO distributes 100% of revenue to token holders.
Revenue distributions are claimed through the official Staking App as unlocked ILV. The vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by the main Sushi pool, which increases the token price.
Hey guys I'm having trouble upgrading the yield and claim rewards. I just get an color wheel endlessly spinning. Anybody else having this issue?
clear cache, update browse . If persistent, change the browser
guys i got a question, if i stake ILV in the ILV Pool for 12 months and if i claim my reward after 12 months i have to wait 2 years overall to get back to my ILV because they are locked for 1 year after i claim it right?
when every you claim ILV, your rewards will start a new yearly vesting. So even if you claim after one year, your claimed rewards will be unlocked the next year, meanwhile, they also generate more rewards that will be locked for one year. This means, when you stake ILV, one year after all Yield ends all rewards will be locked and you won't have any more vesting period if you know what I'm saying.
Suggestion, claim whenever you think it's the right time to claim so you won't miss-out on Yield.
Hi mate how are you. Interesting question. What time zone is the staking platform set too ?
I have some staked SLP soon reaching the 12 mths unlock and I will unstake and move these at that time.
Is it 0.00 UTC on the date ?
Hey buddy. thx. I think it should be Australian time, not sure tbh.
Everything is shown in the Vesting tab on the website.
i register for beta tester everyday i will send someone eth for their tester spot
Can you check as it's "important" š¤
Ty good sir
have you upgraded your pool?
how do I do that, I don't see an upgrade option on the dashboard (I watched the video and don't see the same banner where it's supposed to be under overview)
make sure you clear cache and update your browser, usually fixes that.
also the link shows all your TXs are pending.
those aren't my txs that's the core pool contract
Core Pools don't have any issues. None of the TXs you've done have been successfully accomplished. They are all vesting. Check your wallet and see if your ILV is still in there.
to be clear, none of those are my addresses or transactions lol, I staked several months ago. anyways i'll try refreshing the cache...
Yes try clearing that also upgrade your browser
I'm sure this has been answered 100 times, but when you claim from ILV/ETH and it's said to be compounding during the 12 month vesting period -- how does that work, given that it's ILV/ETH? Is it treated as if it were in the ILV pool?
you claim ILV from either pool and it is ILV that is vesting. Has nothing to do with LP anymore
So it'd be earning at the rate of the ILV pool?
Yes
All stakes get RevDis wen released
Try changing the browser. If it still didn't work. let me know.
To stake my ilv i keep seeing things about swapping eth. If i already have my ilv on gate.io can they be transfered on my metamask to then on the site to be staked?
You have to manually send your ILV to your MM from wherever you buy it. Nothing is automatic and you cannot stake from Gate.io
I think it's not showing me the buttons because it's no longer recognizing my address as staked? can I DM you my address to check...?
Yes i know i have to go trough metamask but my question is if its possible to send the ilv on metamask directly?
Because i dont see the token on metamask and when i search online i see things only about swapping eth to ilv so im not sure
send me your address
On metamask i see my main adress but im not sure if this main adress is only to recieve ETH, as i see you can ''add'' tokens & cant find ILV
you have to add the token address manually. you can find it in #šćhelpful-links
Awesome, thank you š
Also, did you change your browser?
Should be UTC.
Everyone watch out for scammers. DMs are scams
Thanks mate I am in an unfortunate race to make my claims on that old wallet š
oh actually think I figured it out thanks for the help
Still better to be awake and ready to press withdraw whenever it's online. Cuz It should be UTC.
No worries
how long is the pool upgrade window, is there a deadline to do it by?
No, though until you do it, you won;'t get rewards.
I need to be and will be logged in 5mins before everytime until all is out and safe again š¬
check with both Australian time and UTC just to be sure.
Ok šš² arrives first then London
Do we have any ballpark projects as to what the revdis will be if we choose to claim rewards in ILV instead of sILV2? Thanks.
YOu can ask for ppl's opinions regarding RevDis in #š°ćtoken
Whatās up, is there an SLP calculator? Wanna work out how much Iāll have for my next stake
Think I found it but have no idea how to use it haha any tutorials to calculate SLP using that calculator thatās pinned?
Just to be triple sure, the logo of the real ILV token on metamask is just the three colors blue/yellow/red? I copy pasted from important link but just checking because i find it odd its not the official ILV logo
On my side, it's showing the logo correctly. It happened to me previously, but I forgot if it corrected itself or I did somerhing to change the logo.
Thats weird, ik know if i copy paste from this discord it should be alright but i find it odd. Is there a way i could be certain i have the right token? I cant try a test transfer because of the gas
You can check your wallet on Etherscan. It will show that you have some ILV. Click on it and see if the address matches the ILV in the Discord. I'm not an expert, but I guess that's one way. Please cmiiw someone.
Just read the DevBlog, great update! Staking V3 though? What else is expecting to change? Any thoughts?
stking v3???
Staking on L2 ==> staking/claiming will be gas-free
Oh of course, that makes sense
am i right in assuming that there is no way to change my wallet address until vesting period is over and i manually send it from one account to an other. looking to further secure my ILV.
yeah you have to wait until the vesting period is over
thanks I didn't think I would but figured I'd ask anyhow. cheers
I thought staking V2 allowed for wallet changes? A way to protect against compromised wallets etc
did you mean you want to claim?
only a new staker on V2 can transfer wallet
V1 is fully Immutable and therefore cannot be changed, that's why we upgrade, The team did their best, but wallet transfer wasn't possible for V1 stakers. Even if all your tokens unlock (deposited and rewards) and you withdrew all of them and leave nothing on V1, since your wallet was connected to V1, you still don't get the option. The wallet needs to fully change to have that option.
What pool majority is staking on? Ilv/eth seems to be way up higher APY. Anyone got burnt from impermanent loss?
IL doesnt matter for a degen like me pfft
I donāt think anyone has. Considering the price movements and the fact that when ILV was really pumping the SLP pool was getting even higher apy than it is now. Most earned the value of their deposit back as rewards in a fairly short time. Recently the prices have not been making huge changes in comparison to each other.
The guy who scared me out of SLP right when I first staked claimed to have gotten burned. I think he flex staked on a day where we went from $200 ILV to like $280 ILV, and he pulled out immediately.
I agree though, anyone not engaging in money burning activities like that has done fine lol
š thatās just dumb
Yeah I was on the fence and didn't really "get it" and read that and made a suboptimal decision š¢
A question regarding that: Why is it that APY increases when price of the asset/ILV increases?
it shouldnt. apy goes up and down, because of the amount of token staked and it goes down every 2 weeks
*this is incorrect, please see Blickter's explanation below
I see that thrown around a lot. I believe Kieran also mentioned it in the interview with Paul Barron that APY could temporarily rise a lot if price action goes up
The SLP APY can go up when the price of ILV goes up. This is because only half of an SLP token is ILV, so the value of your SLP token rises more slowly than the value of your rewards (which are all ILV). That isn't the case with the ILV only pool.
Note that the APY going up doesn't mean you're getting more rewards, just that your rewards are worth more.
(In this scenario)
Right, makes sense. Many thanks
so ILV price movement doesnt do anything to APY right? Because we are getting the yield in tokens
In the ILV only pool, ILV price movement doesn't do anything. Your value staked goes up at the same rate as your value of rewards go up.
In the SLP pool, like I said, the APY can go up when ILV goes up. That's because your value staked goes up slower than your value of rewards. Getting more value of rewards relative to the value of your SLP stake means a higher APY.
i thought the yield is calculated in SLP, not in $usd? i am so confused
Q: when will you guys decide to take reward from SLP?? According to how many % of gas fee ??
I mean, it's the same metric in the ILV only pool. Whether you use ILV tokens staked and ILV rewards or USD value staked and USD value rewards, you get the same APY, since they vary in price equally.
The SLP APY is based off value staked compared to value of rewards.
A $5k SLP deposit at 300% will yield $15k of rewards over a year if everything is static, and those rewards will all be in ILV.
Now if ILV goes 2x, your SLP deposit is only worth $7500(ish, I'm bad at LP math), but your rewards doubled in value to $30k (since they are all in ILV). That makes for a 400% APY.
Yeah, the easiest way is just to do as a percentage of gas fees. Like, gas is 5% of claim value for example. There are still some calculators kicking around you can use to help figure out what's optimal for you.
thanks blickter for being so patient
ok that make sense now
Not at all, I genuinely enjoy stuff like this.
not sure if i got it, please dnt hate me
so when the ILV price goes up, the SLP APY goes up, the rewards value is now higher relatively to the SLP value, because the reward is 100% in ILV while SLP is 50% in ILV
You got it
If ETH moves at the same rate as ILV though, there's no change, since SLP value would increase at the same rate as ILV value.
The increased APY was super noticable when ILV pumped from $1100 to $1900, it went up like 100%-ish.
I mean... If you're looking strictly at APY, yes, but it's kind of a bad metric for the SLP pool specifically.
You still get the same number of ILV tokens as you would, they are just worth more. So in that sense, ILV up is always good.
Hello
@cyan rampart hey Blickters ah remember those days .. $185 ILV up to $1900 SLP goes brrrrrr .. š«š«š«š¤£ ..
Hi admin any guide to upgrade v1 pool to v2? Because mine always loading on upgrade ilv pool and claim rewards button
Hey. Make sure you upgrade your browser and clear cache and if persistent, change the browser. This fixes many issues
hey guys when we upgrade from v1 to v2 all the pendent rewards are given to us?
the vesting rewards stay vested for the remaining vesting period
Hey, how much are the typical gas fees (in USD) when staking/claiming?
Thinking of staking my ILV but worried about eth gas fees
This can vary a lot and it is based on what gwei(gas) is at when you go to stake/claim. There is a gas tracker in discord on the right hand side, also one on the staking website itself, or you can lookup the etherscan gas tracker as well. But to give you a ballpark, I would say that if gas is around 40 or 50(gwei), in USD the cost would be around $30 to $40
I mean there really isnt a way to do this, if the wallet is compromised, whats stopping the person who compromised it from just going onto your staking and swtitching the wallets.
Exactly the answer I needed, thank you so much! š
If I stake for a year alr and I can unstake, if I decide to not unstake, do I continue to get staking rewards until I decide to unstake? Or do I need to lock the now unlocked staked tokens to continue earning rewards?
As long as the tokens remain staked, you will continue to earn rewards at your original token weight you set even after they have unlocked š
You will only stop earning those yield farming rewards if you withdraw that deposit or when the yield farming rewards run out š
you can transfer staking in v2
Thanks for the clarification.
not if they are locked
I doubt he would be asking if he could transfer unlocked token to another wallet
ah mb I was under the impression he was talking about being still staked in v1 but upgrading to v2
He probably is
cause if that were the case he wouldnt be able to transfer right?
No way. Only new wallet can do transfer
Hey. I'm curious as to how rewards and compounding works. Do I have to claim my pending rewards and turn them into vested assets before they can be compounded? And do you pay gas to claim? How much if you do?
It's at your own pace, so nothing about compounding is automatic. The APY listed on the website assumes 12 claims a year (1/month).
When you claim rewards as ILV, they are automatically staked for 12 months in the ILV only pool. During that time, they generate their own rewards.
You do pay gas to claim. Right now it's about $61 for me to claim both pools.
Gas fees will always fluctuate depending on how much traffic there is on the ETH network. So you can always start that claim transaction and see the estimated gas fee at that time. If it's too high for you and you want to wait to claim, you can click "Reject" and there's no cost to you š
Great answers! Thanks a ton!
Is there maybe easy way to check how much slippage did you have on specific swap transaction? Or is it always what you set for example on uniswap or sushiswap?
Eta on landsale
answered in #š®ćilluvium-zero
BTW how do we check when our ILV staking ends?
You can see this under the vesting tab
Awesome I see it now, Thanks
Hi all, I don't know if it as already been discussed but I have a significant difference between the amount of pending rewards and the theoretical amount I should have when I multiply my daily rewards by the number of days since I have claimed. Is it normal ?
no
Do you know if I can contact someone from the staff for this problem ?
If you're comfortable talking about what you have/expect for rewards publicly, we can move to #āāćcommunity-help , you can DM me if not and I can check over your process and make sure everything adds up. In most cases, there's a misunderstanding of how rewards work, the contracts usually do their thing properly.
Some people have also had display issues with daily rewards and pending rewards, it's pretty rare but it has happened.
I go to the help section š
Hello there. I finished staking my slp tokens. I staked them for 2 months. How can I continue staking them? Do i have to withdraw them first?
They will continue to generate rewards if you leave them staked. IF you wanted to lock them for a longer duration and a higher weight, you'd withdraw and restake.
Thanks man
I was staking ILV under v1 and I went to switch to v2 now but I don't see an option
hello guys, I haven't upgraded my staking since the update and logged in today and cant see my ILV, any idea where it should show up? checked vesting and it shows a small amount compared to what i put in
if you haven't upgraded from V1 to V2 staking, i believe you need to do so -- when you do, you'll be able to claim the rewards that accumulated during the rewards pause... if that's what you're talking about?
Hey everyone im new here, im wondering if i can find an excel sheet that would make me understand claimable rewards in the SLP pool
if you check the pinned posts, there's a google spreadsheet you can use to estimate your potential daily rewards from the SLP and ILV staking pools (it's a little ways down)
is there any way of contacting support? @low locust
lots of people in here are happy to help and will know more than me --
Just wait for a mod to get back to you, they will be able to help. Dont trust anyone that DMs you, Illuvium staff will never DM you first.
It wont show the prompt for me to upgrade to v2 + it says my ILV was sent out of the main pool 5 days ago
do you see a line that says v1 vesting rewards ?
@carmine agate I cant + cant see the upgrade prompt
you should ping a mod
what do you want to know about it?
Alright so im willing to stake in the SLP tool and i dont really understand how much to stake for ETH and ILV
like how do i calculate my earnings if assets were locked for 4 months lets say
how much are you planning to stake?
if you have $1000, you need to put equal amount of $ in eth and ilv
Say 1000$, so 500$ worth of eth and 500$ of ILV
So when you get to sushi liquidity pool, you can put $500 worth of eth, it will automatically calculate hw much ilv needed
you need this amount of eth and ilv in your wallet, plus additional $100-$200 worth of eth for gas
Aha got it, and then how do i get on with calculating returns?
you can go to slp pool staking page, click on stake, slide the period to 4 months, you will see the apr %
just divide that apr% by 3
For a 3 months staking, i suggest you to claim rewards at the end of the 3 months period to save on gas
Have a look at the pinned messages, there's an excel sheet by Lelahel that you can use if you want to get a more accurate idea of rewards.
this is my opinion on claiming
#š„©ćstaking message
I saw for 2k to claim in 3 months, but is there a way to calculate your these rewards?
I couldnt find that, its in this channel?
yes, can you see how much SLP pool apr % for 3 months staking?
Yeah, you'll have a scroll down a ways.
Deraji also has a calculator you can find linked to in this article: https://www.publish0x.com/ilvfi/staking-v2-update-action-required-xjonmmj
Another noob question, if i decide i wanna stake 600$ worth of ILV and 600$ worth of ETH does that mean i have 1.18 SLP after adding liquidity?
you will have 0.375 SLP
SLP value is calculated in ETH price (highest token price)
so 1 SLP is 0.5 ETH + 2.7 ILV
You can always look up the SLP price, I use Zerion (which the bot won't let me link here), but there are other sites that track it as well.
Oh nice it's on Etherscan. https://etherscan.io/token/0x6a091a3406e0073c3cd6340122143009adac0eda
SushiSwap ILV/ETH LP (SLP) Token Tracker on Etherscan shows the price of the Token $2,876.5557, total supply 106,736.487827031130261754, number of holders 600 and updated information of the token. The token tracker page also shows the analytics and historical data.
Right now $1200 would be about .416 SLP tokens.
$1200 deposit
Will get you
$495 after 3 months
and if you claim rewards in ILV, it will be vested for 12 months and yield you another $225 after 12 months
minus gas fee
- you need gas to add liquidity to SLP, $30
- you need gas to allow V2 contract, $10
- you need gas to stake, $30
- you need gas to claim rewards + unstake, $30
- you need gas to claim vested rewards, $30
approx. $130
net yield if claim rewards in ILV
$495 + $225 - $130 = $590 out of $1200 deposit
if you ask me, it's probably not worth the gas for that amount and that short period of staking
What does vested for 12 months mean? And the 495$ would be if i claimed in SLP which is unlocked as soon as i claim?
Got you
you can claim staking rewards in either
- ILV, need to be staked in the ILV pool for 12 months (the vesting period)
- sILV2, you receive it in your wallet immediately
just a reminder, sILV2 is an ingame currency, officially valued at $ILV price, you can use it to buy land, buy illuvitar, travel, cure shards and other ingame activities
it is currently being traded on uniswap for $200
What would be the smartest staking strategy if im looking for flexibility? Or more or less the concept is the same?
A minimum lock duration is the MOST flexible staking strategy. I don't know if it's the smartest though. If it were 100% solved what's best, everyone would just do the same thing.
I have pretty strong conviction in the project and was comfortable staking for 12 months to maximize my ILV returns. That's not advice or anything, just what I've done personally. Definitely DYOR in the project, ask any questions about the project, but ultimately decide for yourself what's best for you.
I'm also not looking to be flexible, you'll probably find me in this Discord in 5 years.
if i want to stake for 3 months in the SLP pool, i will stake for a minimum of $3,000, to cover for gas. the gas fee will be about 11% on my total $yield
Thing is i really like the project and i wanna be involved in any way possible from now, but it helps much more to understand how things are to lay groundwork
Was thinking of staking 0.8 SLP for 12 months, apr is around 260%, how often can i claim if i decided on sILV2? And are these rewards locked for some period?
you can claim staking rewards as often as you'd like, you just need to take account the gas fee
for a $2600 deposit, i would claim every 3 months
sILV2, you will get it in your wallet immediately
i personally prefer to claim rewards in ILV, and buy cheap sILV2 from the uniswap
this is only a scenario if i claim in ILV tho correct? As im trying to compare between the two cases
the ingame value of sILV2 you collect is the same as ILV value. but you can only use sILV2 ingame, buy land or buy illuvitar, it's like a gift card
thats why it is currently being traded at a huge discount
How to calculate sILV2 earnings for a 2600$ deposit locked for 6months?
My brain is screaming its literally mind bending lol I thought the excels will make it ez but that wasnāt the case haha
just $2600 times the apr divide by 2
whts the apr for 6-months stake?
i know lol. I make my own sheet.
Im off driving my dog, wont be back for 5 hours. I dnt have my pc with me
About 200%
Np thank you mate enjoy!
i can safely say you will get $2600 worth of ILV in 6 months, or 4.3 sILV2 at today's ILV price
Good morning revdis team. A quick question. If you are, for example, staked in SLP pool with 10ilv+eth, are you eligible to 10ilv worth of revdis?
yes, you are eligible only for the ILV token amount
At 300% apy, 10k staked in SLP with 365d lockup would return 40k in ILV in 12 months?
apr is 265% for 12months staking
the daily rewards will be 72 ILV or sILV2
however, apr does change overtime
if you claim in ILV, it will be staked for another 12 months and earning at ILV pool apr %
feeling glad I'm all staked after watching the gameplay today. wagmi
gas is cheap rn
Whats a reasonable reward pending amount to claim when gas is cheap. trying to figure out what would make the most sense for me. currently have 1 ILV pending
2 ILV
Btw. does āthe amount of revdis received by stakerā use position weight also?
Yes
Possible to buy land in Beta?
land sale is coming, probably in may
Hello, are gas fees almost always 11% of my deposit in the SLP pool no matter how long i stake for?
gas fee depends on the eth network congestion
So it doesnāt matter if i claim ILV or sILV2, gas is gas
it doesnt matter what you put in the contract
thats why i like to deposit in a larger sum
you could have deposit $1, and gas is still $30
If ILV goes up significantly in June, does the price of sILV2 move up as well simultaneously like is it always connected to ILVās price?
not necessarily
officially sILV2 value = ILV price
but you can trade sILV2 at any value
This part I donāt think i understand, doesnāt that make rewards unstable and harder to calculate? If i was to claim in sILV2
if you claim sILV2 to sell them, yes it is unpredictable. But if you claim sILV2 to buy land, illuvitar or use in the game then it is pegged to ILV
i prefer to claim in ILV, and buy sILV2 from the market
Got you, and for claiming the ILV reward theyāre locked for 12 months for the vesting and Iām free to unstake my SLP as soon as the locking period i chose ends
I cannot find the SLP token for ILV/ETH pool. The helpful links just sends me to swap not the lp pool
sushi - legacy - add
thank you sir!
does anyone know how much gas fee i should expect to add to ilv/eth pool and stake slp?
$30-$50 each tx
Hey man, can you please explain why claiming ILV is better than sILV2? Like if i lock 1500$ in the SLP pool for 6mnths (200%apr) what are my rewards in sILV2 compared to if i claim ILV?
It s totally different token.
Silv2 are for in-game use like paying fees buying illuvitars or land ect...
But you can t stake it.
Ilv or the governance token, it gives you voting power for voting the council, and you can stake it to gain yield.
2 different usage
the rewards amount are the same.
you can either claim 1 ILV or 1 sILV
But doesnt the discounted market price of sILV make people claim ILV almost always? Unless the people that are heavily invested in the game
sometimes people need some liquidity and sell sILV2
Bit of a newbie, just checking I have things right. Got my wallet. Going to put some ETH in it and head to Sushi Swap, use my ETH to grab ILV tokens, go to illuvium stake, and stake my tokens. Did I miss anything?
I got it. Make sure ur wallet is in an ETH wallet. And āswapā ETH to ILV. Note, make sure u have some ETH left after swap for staking gas fee. Also time the gwei itās better to wait for a low gwei.
I mean āU got itā š
And if you want to stake in ILV/ETH pool itās slightly different. Thereās one more step you need to take.
thanks for the answers, the extra step would be to get the token for the ILV/ETH token, is that somewhere other than Sushi?
Just at Sushi.
Hi, I upgraded my ILV/ETH from v1 to v2. Does it continue to stake for me ? or do I have to "Withdraw" , followed by a new stake ?
If i press claim reward, can i choose to only claim half of the accumulated rewards? Or does it always claim everything stacked up to that point?
everything
Everything
Alright thx
Upgrading is enough.
Thank you !
Hey guys can anyone please give me a hand here?
i have some eth on my Crypto.com account anyone have any experience with that?
Already replied in general
deja vu
hey friends. where can i find the link to the ETH/ILV pool on sushi swap?
Legacy, Add. on Sushi website
I use crypto.com
ive found out the real adress i needed to use but now my withdrawel adress is locked for 24 hours š¦ i really hope i can get those low gas fees
never had any withdrawal time limit with crypto.com and use it everyday
if u add a new withdraw adress and try to use it right away?
well mylast transfert were to a known adress, be before, I ve never had this limitation, so maybe it s recent
they did upgrade their security so i guess so :/
i have another question tho. When my locked period of staking is done like lets say 2 weeks and i dont collect them cause i dont want to pay the gas does it automaticly go back to flexible terms or wont i earn anymore after that on that position?
do you know if creating slp are two transactions?
Nothing changes. They will just be staked and unlocked while generating rewards to be claimed.
Should be. One approval and one SLP creation.
probably best to stake 12 month right? apr is going to be up for a bit right?
does slp receive revdis?
Gas issue maybe? also update our browser and clear cache, or change the browser
That is your choice and APR doesn't tale into account compounding.
And yes, ILV part of SLP receives RevDis
merci!
Hey guys , what is slp?
Sushi Liquidity Pool TOken
Which stake is best to choose ? For how long?
you decide. I suggest reading all the Mediums to help you decide.
I just started to understand the field of cryptocurrency)
Hey everyone, are claimed ILV rewards not showing on V2? I just claimed and I don't see anything for April under vesting. Appreciated.
What does etherscan say about the transaction?
Did you previously upgrade your ILV pool?
when you claim ILV and it goes under the 12month period of vesting does it generate APY according to your current pool or it uses the pure ILV pool to generate yield?
ilv pool apr
during vesting do they attract rev dis?
yes
What does the EPOCH mean? I gather once the allocated amount of ILV to be distributed has been spent that means the EPOCH ends and a new one begins? How does the amount of ILV in each EPOCH get calculated?
Each epoch is a 2 week period. The number of ILV distributed decreses by 3% each epoch.
Oh right, so the staking APY will go down each Epoch?
Yeah it goes down as each epoch passes as well as when the total volume staked goes up.
Do you know how the amount of ILV they are distributing is calculated?
Revenue distributions should make up for the staking yield decrease after the game launches
You would think it would go up after game is launched due to increased revenue?
I forgot what it started at but this epoch is 55,248 ILV. Next will be 3% less so 53.590.
And revenue distributions are separate from the staking yield. Staking yield ends June 2024 and after that its just revenue distribution.
Oh I see, thanks for explaining
I take it you will still be able to stake in ILV after 2024, youāll just be receiving REV distribution
Yeah thats the plan. Of course thats a long time away so we will see what happens.
Quick question, yāall- Whats the current APR for single side ILV staking? Somewhere around 12%
?
you can see the apr on the staking page
I cant, actually. No ilv in wallet yet
Trying to decide if I want to do it. Just thought id bop in and ask real quick.
you just need to connect a wallet to see
Etherscan says "Migrate"
Yes, I migrated to V2 a week or two ago, forget exactly. I claimed ok on March 26th, it is there. And was accruing rewards. It set a really low fee for claiming this last one yesterday and I had to do a zero nonce to myself to get it cancelled and then redid with high fee.
Cool. Sounds like you worked it out!
why does everyone say to go 50/50 with the investment here?
Probably because The yield farming return is over 10x higher than staking ILV only.
@carmine agate sorry for asking so many questions but I don't rlly have the time rn to watch so many hours of tutorials.. and frankly I prefer taking the conclusion from ppl who already studied the caseā¤ļøšš
but I understood that there is a probability to lose some of the income due to the impermanent thing
The yield farming return is not lost due to impermanent loss. Only the potential gains in deposit value.
nw man
id love to share the good words
I see
alright just locked up .8 slp for a year hopefully it went through properly
The amount of ILV being distributed as rewards is on a preset curve. But how much of that distribution each staker gets changes based on how many tokens are staked.
What does etherscan say?
when i go to the metamask part for stake and click to send me to explorer it says success
Should be good then.
@carmine agate u think it's better to invest in both of them now right?
only cost around 35ish$ to do all the transactions, not bad
not counting the .05 ilv to transfer off kucoin
i invest 100% in SLP
i dnt believe in diversification
do rewards show up on vesting after each day, or not until end of each epoch
damn now I gotta swap to SLP
tot nfa
in 4 months your deposit breaks even lol
damn I got so many questions.. but I wanna swap already.
So investing in ILV pool or ILV/ETH pool will only affect the revenue. not the coin I will claim right?
I mean I can choose which coin to withdraw (either sILV or ILV) right?
and one will be used in-game only and the other one swapped for eth or whatever...?
!staking
When holding ILV, staking is a way to gain additional rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution. The process for staking is the following:
- Acquire either ILV or Sushi LP tokens.
- Go to the official Staking App.
- Enter the right pool according to the tokens you acquired.
- Decide your lock duration. The longer the lock, the higher the weight.
- After approving the contract, confirm the staking of the desired tokens.
!lp
Providing liquidity is done via an ILV/ETH Pool on SushiSwap and requires multiple steps:
- Buy ILV and ETH
- After approving the Sushi contract you stake a 50/50 value ratio of ETH and ILV
- You receive SLP tokens. (To see them, add the SLP contract address to your wallet)
- Stake the SLP tokens through the Illuvium Staking App and set your lock period.
See #šćhelpful-links for official links.
!claim
Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:
- When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
- You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
- If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
- If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
- New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat
NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuviumās Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.
Also The second half of this video may still be helpful. The first half is mostly about setting up a working metamask. #š„©ćstaking message
I have my metamask done.. I keep investing for a while but this concept is new for me.
Thanks a lot mate!
No problem. All those @woven ibex commands should cover much of the basics
ok donee. going for 12 months now
I saw some ppl upgrading their Staking to v2.. what are the benefits?
So stakers from V1 can continue receiving rewards from V2.
I suppose I already am on the V2 as I just invested right?
Correct!
This has probably been asked hundreds of time but havenāt seen it asked too recently.
Staked and claimed rewards in December. Have about 4 ilv currently locked and continue to stake until itās unlocked in December this year. Do I claim rewards so it goes from v1 to v2 and if I do does it lock again for another year?
As of this moment you should not be getting rewards if you have not upgraded your staked tokens. So upgrading is basically mandatory.
But what i see wrong in your question is that your initial stake will not lock up once more for a year. It will still unlock in december regardless of whether you upgrade or claim rewards.
The rewards that you gain from upgrading or claiming will however be locked or vesting for one year.
Sorry I should of been a little more clear. I took out what I originally staked from the vested tab and only left in my staked rewards which was a few ilv and that is locked for a year but gotcha. My current rewards that are locked that are currently staking isnāt making any rewards unless I upgrade from v1 to v2 if Iām understanding it correctly
Yes that is right. And those rewards that are now vesting already wont lock up for another year if you claim additional rewards or upgrade to the new staking version.
So upgrading is the way to go š
which epoch/fortnight are we at right now?
you can see it under emission schedule
š ty! love the new UI
Shouldn't the claim command be updated so it says Silv2 instead of sILV
So I have just upgraded from staking v1 to v2 today. I found this amount in the vesting tab with "withdraw" . Does this mean that this amount is not staking anymore? Or is it simply not locked anymore but still yielding rewards? I'm trying to figure out if I needed to withdraw it so I can stake again or should I just leave it there without withdrawing because it is already in staking?
It still say v1 ILV though.
sILV is ded
Ye thats why, but the command still says sILV
@wheat grotto do these transactions show up on Etherscan?
kinda sounds like it might a nonce issue, but thats just a guess
Yeah my best guess would be a nonce issue, or if using a hardware wallet, something not up to date. So transactions are stuck in metamask on pending and never getting approved.
First step would be to check on Etherscan and figure out if they are visible on the blockchain, and if they are actually failed or not.
Hi guys, Iām really struggling to claim rewards. When I click on wallet address, It says pending for a minute, then that changes to failed. If I look at metamask it just says pending but this will continue for hours. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Have you tried clearing the browser cache and restarting it?
No, Iāll try that nowš
Just tried and it failed againš¤Æ
No, it says unable to locate this TxnHash
Damn, okay. That means it's not actually leaving metamask/entering the blockchain (mem pool), so at least you're not losing transaction fees on failed transactions!
But I'm also not sure how you can fix it, so I hope you can get it sorted soon!
Edit: Are you using a hardware wallet, e.g. Ledger?
Youāre right, at least Iām not paying gas every time. Thanks for your help
Are you using a Ledger hardware wallet? If so I might be able to help (problem would likely be out of date apps on the hardware wallet and/or ledger live app)
No. Just metamask. This is really confusing me, I wish it would just workš¤¦āāļø
Without doxxing yourself could you share a screenshot of what the failed transaction looks like on Metamask?
Iāve tried but I canāt share a picture on here
Could you try "reset metamask"? (In the advanced options, it will clear all your transaction history, and potentially reset any problems)
That's all I can think of without more details. Try to reset metamask (make sure you have your seed phrase written down in case something goes wrong, but the reset shouldn't clear that anyway)
Otherwise hopefully an admin will help out soon š¤
It worked! Thank you all for your helpš
Awesome!!

Happy staking, lucky gas is still very reasonable now too š
Itās about as low as it gets at the moment. Just paid $24š
Hey Guys I had a question regarding claiming rewards. So V2 should help to cut the costs of fee everytime that you claim your rewards right?
The reason why I am asking is beacause I just staked on the ETH/ILV Pool with the SLP token and I was checking how much it would cost to claim the rewards but I was surprised to see that it was still $17 with this low GWEI.
Am I missing something? Thanks a lot
no, it doesn't
V2 requires less number of transactions
Ok so just to confirm, claiming fee remains the same but the fees for staking in the pool are lower.
This would make sense as it costed me around $80 to do the whole staking process
Getting this error when upgrading -
"Cannot read property of undefined (reading 'map')
Any known fixes?
Hey guys, I signed in today to look at the new staking interface, it seems like I cannot see any of my vests? Anyone else experiencing this? I can still see a total balance, but cannot see unlock dates, and don't have the ability to unlock anything.
thats about right
Adding liquidity $30
allow ILV $10
Staking sign off $30
try delete cache, update browser, use other browser, reinstall wallet, reboot router, reboot device
if the problem persist please ping a mod
is the upgrade successful?
Thanks Jag, those are all what I told my buddy to try first, will report back!
I think so, I did it a week ago, and could see my vests at that time, but can no longer see them
can you try this?
Thanks, seems to have worked
i added, reinstall wallet
what do I get as reward if I provide liquidity on ILV/ETH? And also can I immediately sell the rewards?
Hey. If you stake, you'll get higher APY and more rewards (runs the risk of Impermanent Loss). And no, you can't sell the rewards if you claim ILV. they will be locked for one year after you claim them.
I mean LP not staking
If you don't stake, you'll get nothing, but will be exposed to Impermanent Loss.
maybe a tiny Sushi reward.
ok, but what do I get if I provide liquidity, I mean the yield of the LP is in ETH or ILV?
Sushi offers a very small percentage of all trades to LP providers. Something like .25%
Yield = Staking. You have to stake if you want Yield.
and it's ETH + ILV in equal proportions
so if I lock for 1 month my SLP (ILV/ETH) on the illuvium website I will get ETH + ILV in equal proportions
No. Arash is talking about providing liquidity. You can claim rewards in the form of locked ILV or unlocked sILV2. No ETH
No. you will get rewards which you can claim in form of either ILV or SILV2. If you claim ILV, it will be locked for a year. If you claim sILV2 it will go to your wallet to be used in the game/land sale.
clear, thank you very much!

Is it possible to see on-chain how much ILV you harvest when you click the claim button?
I'm sure this is a stupid question that's asked numerous times, but I 100% have to pay gas fees to transition to v2 right? I'm not playing with a lot, so in withdrawing my v1 staking I'm paying over 10% in Gas. I assume I then need to pay gas again to restake into v2? I'm not fully certain what the benefit of v2 is to little guys like me outside of hosing in gas fees
If you upgrade to v2 you get the benefits of staking in v2
And yes you need to pay gas for that
What if someone claims rewards more than 12 times per year from deposit with 12 month lock?
How it works on APY?
You can use an apy calculator to determine that. The internet has many. Put in the variables that you want.
Also⦠if you go the the staking tab I think you can use a tool that the team setup in the ui.
Hey guys kinda a dumb question... All we need to do in order to continue receiving rewards from a v1 stake is to just update the pools right? Once we update both the ILV and the ILV/ETH pools, and there is no more prompt message in the dashboard asking us to update, that means we are receiving v1 rewards, right? Just want to be sure since I did this but never received any kind of confirmation saying "you are now receiving v1 rewards"... Thanks so much all
Do you recommend any staking calculator for v2? I was looking for, but many are not updated now.
Well it is V2 rewards, but yes thatās all you need to do. You should see them coming on your dashboard
In #š®ćilluvium-zero muertos
working for me ..
gas ā½ļø is increasing ATM
is there a way to transfer a staked position to another wallet? i heard that was planned to be a feature in staking v2?
@cunning perch sorry for tag but do you know how to wallet transfer my staked ILV?
Hey buddy. Unfortunately that feature is not available to those wallets that have a history on V1. Only new wallets that stake directly on V2 ca have that feature.
ah ok, thanks
wen land
ok viva los muertos!
Huh. Clearing browser cache usually clears stuff up.
Are you on the right network? Are you using the standard rpc?
Hello fellow Illuviums.
Wondering if I can transfer/change my wallet connected to staking. I'm currently transitioning to a cold wallet.
Not currently. Planned for future staking upgrades. For now the only option is if tokens are unlocked, you can unstake, move, then restake
Okay. Thanks.
Personal question, What amount of ILV rewards pending is enough for you to personally feel it worth pay the gas fee, and claim/vest? Asking as someone looking to maximize yield, obviously
For example, I have just shy of 0.2 ILV pending. Worth it?
The idea is the amount you claim should be able to EARN more than the gas fee before your the next time you claim again. Otherwise you are wasting eth on gas, since You could have gotten more ilv tokens more efficiently by buying them with the eth you used for the gas.
Personally, at least 1 ILV to claim.
Seems low
Yeah I'll wait until it's 1 ILV
one ILV at $600 earns $0.41 of ILV per day. That 1 ILV will take a very long time to earn the close to $30 for a claim. But if youāve got eth to spend and donāt want to get $30 of ILV but want $0.41 per day instead then go for it.
What I was thinking though, is that when 1 ILV is worth $5000, then I will regret not maximising my yield "back in the past when I was so worried about gas fees", because by then, 20% of an ILV would be worth a grand. And regardless of ILV price, what I'm needing to do is maximise revdis. In the future.
Question for you all out here. what is the lowest gas fee you paid when claiming rewards recently? seems like with gas at 19, I cant get below $40 ... Anyone got it lower than that ?
25% apy is ok. But if you want more ILV and have $330 to spend in the next year donāt claim 1 ILV once a month. Buy 0.5 ilv. Claim 10 ilv. You end up with more ILV. And less eth wasted on fees. (I havenāt checked these exact numbers but it feels really close)
Your Eth today can be used for fees. Or it can be used to buy ILV. THAT is the question. Which is more efficient
Realistically, the price of ILV will not remain $660 for another 12 months
This is an excellent point
But the yield apy doesnāt go up. Your pending rewards will be yours. Check out lelahels pinned spreadsheet. It can help you decide how much eth you are willing to spend to gain how much ILV by claiming how often.
I thought the rewards had to be "claimed" in order to form part of your "balance" which is the basis of your yield calculation. Otherwise it's just sitting in limbo not earning anything?
That is correct. But $0.41 per day is so little.
I think I'm earning 2% of an illuvium per day
So, I'll get an ILV every 2 months roughly
Yeah. But not on the 1 pending ILV. 1 ILV that you pay $30 to claim will after being claimed only earn $0.41 more per day.
Ahhhh gotcha
But, in the future, that 0.000001 ILV could add up to a fair bit of monthly revdis 10 years from now? Or still don't worry about it
Or⦠use that $30 today to BUY .05 ILV.
Yup good point. Except, got no money
Except you can pay to claim every ILV?
Actually though, your points are super helpful and insightful, I appreciate it. Yes I've got eth in my ledger.
!fees
Fast: 27 Standard: 26 Slow: 25
Simple ETH TX: $1.92 (0.0006 Ī)
Token Approval (ERC20): $4.48 (0.0014 Ī)
Token Transfer (ERC20): $4.16 (0.0013 Ī)
Uniswap Trades: $10.24 - $17.29 (0.0032 Ī - 0.0054 Ī)
True maximizing⦠buy as much ILV as you can between claims. Claim only when your fees paid will be earned back before your next claim. Personally, I donāt buy more ILV. But I donāt waste my eth. When itās not going to get me that much more ILV.
What do you think about claiming sILV2 to sell on uniswap and convert to SLP ?
Itās not as efficiency as our once was. It is now an even more lossy process. But the more than 10x higher apr in the eth/ILV pool might eventually make up for that. I really donāt know.
Hi guys, I still havn't upgraded to V2. If I dont upgrade right now will i my missing out on staking rewards?
yes your stake is making $0 until upgrade as its mandatory to continue earning
alright cheers mate
Thanks. Will the stake continue to generate rewards at the same weight of the originally locked stake (e.g., 1.50)? Or is a lower weight assigned since the stake can now be withdrawn at any time?
I like your thinking & im investing a similar amount of $ in ILV/ETH staked as SLP. Iām earning a small amount of rewards and have calculated itās not worth it to claim frequently even though it feels like I should claim ASAP to increase my balance staked. Pelican and others have explained it to me, and I think I will claim once every 2 months but need to use that spreadsheet a bit more.
But is this considering the revdis?
So the gas might even out the rewards Iāve claimed but now I have ILV staked, does the revdis earned THEN make it worthwhile? Assuming revdis has commenced
When tokens unlock they maintain the same weight.
Got it. One quick follow-up. If I have multiple stakes coming unlocked soon, is there any way to withdraw all of them in a single transaction to minimize gas fees?
Once revdis starts we will have to look at most numbers again and consider revdis as well. But it wonāt outpace yield farming rewards for awhile. At least I donāt think so
Understood. Much appreciated!
I think youāre right. For smaller investors such as myself it will be interesting to find that sweet spot of having some rewards staked to earn revdis but not at the expense of wasted ETH for gas that could have been used to buy more ILV
Yup Deraji convinced me of this opportunity cost pretty early on.
A lot of smart ppl in this community. Appreciate your support always!
imo to optimize gas spending
I actually already screenshot this when you first posted it lol. Youāre one of the smart ppl I was referring to šš¼
much appreciated it man. im happy to help
For information, today I claimed some staking rewards and gas fees were 16$
it looks like i didnt rack up any rewards while staking in V1 single while contract was paused? i thought they would be calculated, i just upgraded and current rewards are .000092
Did you check the vesting tab?
why do i get low slp than the ilv i used to stake it?
Because slp is a combination of ILV and eth
shouldent it be like the same as the ilv when u use same amount in dollar of eth?
I dont understand your question
1.1 ilv + 0.2 eth is 0.45 slp
but when i start to stake now i dont have to upgrade to v2 right? it automaticly does that?
new stake doesnt need upgrade, only old staker
š
if i claim ilv token it will lock for 12 months right? does the claimed ilv token stake itself so u get more ?
Yes
very smart contract
sweet š
The same token weight and the same APR?
12months staking is weigh 2.0
I know but if the locked period is over and you decide not to lock it, does the compounding reward have the same token weight and APY as when you lock it again? @carmine agate thanks for your help btw haha
Yes
So unless unlock of 12 months the token weight is all the same locked for less then 12 months and no lock? Thank you btw
After the lock period ends on a deposit, regardless of whether that deposit was direct or via rewards, it will continue to generate rewards at the same weight until you choose to unlock it or until yield farm ends.
thanks for your feedback my friend. I have ongoing conversations about this on my podcast with some other members of the community and it's hard to find that exact sweet spot. Buy more ILV and stake? Buy half ILV and half ETH and stake? Claim your ILV to start vesting for 12 months and increase slightly your yield by paying some gas in ETH? Claim sILV2 and use the quick liquidity to buy some more ILV/ETH? many different scenarios that depend on how much ILV you actually are claiming, with what frecuency, and the gas cost
I see thanks, I have my SLP locked before the V2 upgrade and its still locked for 2 months, after the unlock is it wise to lock it again or it will be the same token weight?
100% SLP
Claim ILV, buy sILV2
NFA
imo claim frequency
#š„©ćstaking message
It will continue at the same token weight. I wouldn't re-lock unless you want to lock for a higher weight (not sure if you're at 2.0 weight or not).
I am at 2x weight will unlock in November will just let it sit there till i decides to rescue the eth and go all in in ilv core for revdis -there will be a time where that will make numerical sense
First time staker. I want to stake in ILV/ETH pool, I get that token from Sushi swap correct? And is that token called SLP or SUSHI that I want to buy? Perhaps there is a pinned video that walks me through buying the token to stake in the ILV/ETH pool?
So the token you want to stake in the ILV/ETH pool is called SLP. It stands for Sushi Liquidity Pool token. You get it by going to Sushiswap, and using the Liquidity tab to provide equal parts (by value) of ILV + ETH as liquidity. This will in turn give you SLP tokens. You take those to the Illuvium website and stake them.
Perfect, thanks for clearing that up.
Well I have 1 SLP haha
Hey, I'm trying to upgrade my staking to v2 but getting this message.... cannot estimate gas;transaction may fail.... etc
increase your limit
ok let me try that cheers
not a good time to upgrade tho, this morning gas was below 20
serious?
Try clearing your browser cache and restarting
ok thanks
with gas at 94 think I'll just try later
hey quick question. Im trying to calculate how much I am going to make off of staking. The apy is calculated based on how much money is staked right?
so like if more people were to stake the apy would go down?
It's based off the value of your stake, yes.
If more people stake, the APY goes down.
The total rewards distributed every 2 weeks decreases by 3% as well.
what do you mean by that? and thanks
On the dashboard this is indicated by the Epoch.
So in 3 days, on 14/04/22, we'll start Epoch 21, which just means that the Distributed ILV for Epoch 21 will be (55284 * .97) = 53625 ILV. This results in a decrease in APY as well.
oh ok. Does staking end at 3M ilv or at epoch 78?
im just trying to calculate a more realistic longterm apy instead of using like 290%
There's only 3M tokens allocated for YF, which will run out after 3 years total. We still have over 2 years until yield runs out. However, that won't be the end of staking, since revdis is distributed to staked tokens only.
As far as long term average APY over 12 months, it's hard to say, since it depends on many factors. There are calculators in the pinned messages that estimate the approx. growth of value in the pools, but the token unlocks will be a BIG unknown.
ok thanks for the help
i havent migrated my stake yet to v2. is that an issue? been tuned out to community and just saw there was upgrade
You aren't generating rewards anymore until you upgrade
ok. Thanks.
the migration went well im guessing? no bugs? Easy to do by following prompts on site Im guessing?
Follow the prompts, pay 1/3d in GWEI as dollar cost and easily be eligible for yield farming rewards once more.
it says I have to claim v1 rewards to upgrade? Guess Ill do SILV and hold it for land sale? not interested in a 1 year lock for like half an ILV
Oh if it is only half an ILV then yeah it wouldnt matter much :)
An ilv token generated less than 0.01 since the start of V2 for me.
its like 15 ILV but yea the reward is like 1/2 or something. Anyways, I love this community. I show up every few months with tons of noob questions and yall always help me and help fast. Judging by engagement this project gonna blow huge next 1-2 years
Does it not depend about ILV price too? If the price go down apy go up?
Have any numbers been provided for how much the apy will decline based on the total amount staked
Just percentage based.
Not for the ILV only pool. But it does impact the apr in the eth/ILV pool
what do you mean by that? @gloomy gazelle
Thank you
The rewards calculator determines current the usd value of your staked SLP and it determines the total usd value of all the staked SLP (taking into account any multipliers from locking such as 2x for 52 weeks). Then it determines what your percentage of the pool is. Then it distributes to you that percentage of the ILV rewards that are getting paid out during that block to the SLP pool (as part of the 2 week fortnight). The UI then calculates the USD value of the ILV rewards and is then able to display the APY. Itās a bit complex. But there are spreadsheets pinned in here that calculate it all for you. The APY also takes into account the current rate at which you are earning and the fact that the amount of ILV rewards paid out decreases by 3% every two weeks. So the apy displayed doesnāt show you what you are earning today. But shows you what youād have earned in a yearās time if nothing else changes. But in reality the value of the ILV tokens and the value of the SLP tokens and the total value in the pool (and therefore your percentage of the pool) WILL change almost constantly. Therefore the APY is variable.
Thanks sm

Wasnt staking v2 supposed to reduce cost to claim rewards? I feel like its the same? Or am i trippin?
Hey Fissure-- not every instance of paying a gas fee is going to be cheaper... although I'm no smart contract expert so I'm not sure about the nitty gritty details, per transaction. But as for some of the benefits which lead to us paying less in gas overall....
-
If you have rewards pending in both the ILV pool and ETH/ILV pool, you can now claim rewards from both pools with one gas fee. Previously, you had to pay gas 2 separate times, one for each pool.
-
In V1, as the 12 month vesting period on your rewards completed, they become unlocked for you to withdraw and you would have had to pay a gas fee for each deposit and each batch of rewards that was unlocked. In V2 you can unstake all unlocked tokens within 1 transaction.
-
In V1, if you had tokens staked, and you decided to stake more tokens, you had to pay a gas fee to stake, then you were also forced to pay another gas fee to claim any pending rewards (2 extra gas fees if you had to claim rewards from both pools). In V2, you can stake more tokens all you want and you are no longer forced to claim your pending rewards and pay additional gas fees.
Okay so the update was more for reducing required tx, rather than reducing price of tx. For some reason i thought this would take staking tx off of Eth mainnet and reduce gas price that way
For the most part, yeah. I do believe the team did some optimization of the individual gas transactions themselves... but that is for those who are fully/newly staked on the V2 protocol. Those of us with our deposits still locked on the V1 contracts, but claiming the rewards on V2 would not see those changes, as far as I know.
As for staking somewhere off of ETH Mainnet, that wouldn't be this particular upgrade. But Aaron has mentioned that he hopes the V3 upgrade will move our staking protocol onto Layer 2 š¤
Hi i just staked in silv ,should i upgrade it or its already upgraded?
If you made your deposit after the v2 launch you are fine.
If i have "Upgrade ILV pool and claim 2.01 sILV2" and a green tick next to it does that mean that I have successfully upgrades ?
upgraded!
Do you have those reward ILV in the vesting tab now?
Need to upgrade it to v3 in the future?
Aaron had hinted at that possibility in his dev blog. But pretty far down the road I think. Itās a layer 2 thing
At some point for sure, so that things can be even more efficient. But that will be a slow process, probably with a 12 month warning.
v3 on IMX is sweet, i can claim everyday
Hi there when I am trying to stake it fails
gas limit?
I was wondering what some of the common causes of this may be?
whats the failure message?
usually gas fee changed drastically
No set message it is just pending and when it was over an hour I refreshed the site to see and it said failed
Tried a couple times
try
delete cache
update browser
reinstall MM
So it probably never actually reached the blockchain⦠so nothing shows on etherscanā¦
Before you reinstall MM, you can always do a reset. This clears pending TX.
Would I just retry?
Thank you it is working now!!
Hi! Can someone help me? I clicked on the upgrade ILV pool since I am still at V1 , but still MM (execute migration and contract interaction) its been days already.
What does etherscan say?
hi! its says contract interaction (queued) and the other one execute migration ( pending)
Etherscan says queued? Or is that what metamask is saying?
i guess its MM
Look at the transaction on the explorer.
Should pull up a link to an etherscan webpage
If it doesnāt then your wallet is not properly sending stuff to the blockchain. And youāll probably need to reset it. You can google how to do that. Donāt trust any DMs. Mycelo is a scam.
But if itās pending on etherscan than itās just waiting to process. And it should work eventually.
You could send my the tx number and I could look
But Iām logging off in like a couple minutes so make it quick.
alright ok will check it and try...but if still i can't solve it will try to msg you here.
Someone will be around eventually. Just donāt trust DMs. Too many imposters.
ok
Hey let me know whether you have a pending txn on Etherscan, I'll be around for another hour or two.
I can see V1 in the vesting tab. Why can't I attach any screen shots?
In OZ so time zones are crazy.
If you initially staked on V1, your stake will always be on V1. you are just using the Upgrade now.
hello, where i can read on how to stake?im new on this network btw, i want to transfer my investment on illuvium.
!staking Donāt trust DMs. There are many imposters trying to scam. Read the medium post on v2 staking. #šćhelpful-links
This is older but if you are new this might be helpful. #š„©ćstaking message
question for claiming staking rewards once they unlock.. with staking v1 the way the code was written many times i'd claim and i got like dust amounts.. when those unlock in future is the contracts written in a way where i'm not screwed trying to claim them? maybe bundle them all
or can i skip over the ones that are litterly not worth the gas to claim, any thoughts on how v2 design works for this @gloomy gazelle
If im correct you can claim multiple at ones and only pay 1 gas fee
All unlocked batches in a single pool can be withdrawn in a single transaction
Thats the benefit of v2
Hey guys, i have 0.58 slp in the ilv/eth Pool. At the vesting page i can whitdraw it but i have 2 transactions to confirm. Will i be able to sell this or will it restake and be locked?
Hey any advice on the staking I have tried approving the gas fee using my ledger but nothing happens the transaction just queues?
Use ledger/metamask integration.
If you are⦠then Clear browser cache.
Unlocked tokens (SLP or ILV) can be withdrawn to your wallet.
Thank you, that's what i was thinking but the second transaction Said something about staking so is wasnt sure haha but thx
How do you do that ?
Cause I am using MetaMask with my ledger
And I already tried clearing my caches and cookies
how do i see my current ETH/ILV ratio that i have pooled. if i already staked my SLP
On your Dashboard?
Do I need to upgrade to V2? Or just keep using V1
You must upgrade
Will it be possible to use staked ILV to purchase land during the sale?
No, ILV is not used as a currency to purchase things, including land.
Have a read through the #āćfaq , it covers the functionality of each token.
If I never āclaimā the rewards Iām earning from the SLP pool, can I still earn revdis on those ILV that I have yet to claim? I ask for tax implication purposes
No, you have to claim them.
I guess that would make sense cause until I claim I would have the ability also claim sILV2 as well.
The second transaction probably has something to do with claiming pending rewards. Iām not sure without seeing what it says.
Sounds like you are already using the metamask integration then. What does etherscan say for your address? Are the new transactions showing up on the blockchain?
Iāll have to check cause all I see in MetaMask is that itās pending was there something I was supposed to do before I sent to my ledger cause the dollar amount for my illuvium isnāt showing but itās on my ledger live app still
Iām not sure about the value displaying. But is your ledger set to allow blind signing or whatever itās called
Yessir check and check
Thatās why Iām like thatās weird why isnāt it working
Hmm. The etherscan page should be helpful to checkout
When I go on my lunch break Iāll check it out and let you know what it says
I had a Total of 3800$ on my dashboard, i claimed my eth/ilv reward that were around 1300$ and now in my metamask its only worth a few bucks? Is this a bug or something went wrong?
Check the token contracts. #šćhelpful-links My guess is you are looking at sILV tokens. Those are useless. The rewards donāt go to your wallet unless claimed as silv2. When claimed as ILV those get put in vesting.
I claimed them in silv2 and in my metamask is see slp :0,5
Ok. That should be ok then. Itās just that silv2 is not trading at ILV value. But will be accepted at ILV value in the game and sales like land and illuvitars.
Itās possible that your decimals are off or something and not correctly displaying some of the token values.
Isnt 1300 dollar 0.5 slp ish?
Sounds possible to me.
!contract letās check etherscan
ILV Token: 0x767fe9edc9e0df98e07454847909b5e959d7ca0e
ETH/ILV SLP Token: 0x6a091a3406e0073c3cd6340122143009adac0eda
Yup. Like dead on.
So thats probably what he sees, its not 0.5 dollar. Just needs to swap his slp i guess
Can any admin help me please. I try to upgrade v1 staking to v2 but the error mentioned "unpredicted gas limit "cannot estimate gas fee". I have enough fee to cover it. Plsssss help tired_face
This can usually be solved by clearing your browser's cache, ensuring your browser and wallet are up to date, and restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, you can just manually set a higher gas limit for the transaction.
Hi...would like to understand the staking payout for ILV\ETH. if let say i stake $1,000 and select the 1 month with 140% APR, what would my estimate profit payout?
Some quick math will give you a good estimate. We're going to assume the APR will remain static at 140%. In practice, it will likely decrease.
140% APR is the yearly return. The monthly return is 11.67% (140/12). With $1000, you'd get $116.7 worth of rewards in a month.
Gas fees would likely eat a healthy chunk of your profits, I'd either: Stake longer -or- wait until you can stake more. NFA of course, this is just what I'd do.
thank you for the provided info
I checked the page but it says we are unable to locate this txnhash
Is there another (older) transaction from your wallet on etherscan that is pending? If there is then that transaction needs cleared first. Either sped up or cancelled. If there is not a pending transaction then itās definitely a wallet connection problem of some kind.
Will staking APR go up whenever we start getting some revenue distribution?
Yeah there are a few of them there but how do I cancel or speed up when I pull up the window kinda hard to understand what to do
The shown APR is only regarding yield farming rewards. Those can be calculated. The revdis will need to use a different sort of calculation. Probably some tool to calculate how much revdis our stakes have gotten in the past week/month/year
Youāll want to search for some metamask solutions. Search google for cancel pending metamask transactions
Thereās a few metamask zendesk pages that can help you get it done. The wallet reset and the nonce duplication are the cheapest.
is it better to claim my reward in silv2 or ilv? for the upgrade
fyi im planning on using the funds to buy lands when it available
If you are intending on using your rewards on land, sILV2 is probably your best option. ILV can't be spent on land, and it is also locked for a year after claiming it
ok ty fgor the answer
hi, i got a staking Q
I only started staking in v2, never staked in v1.
On the rewards part of the staking site, I have some ILV/ETH - ILV pending rewards, I can claim those
I do not think i can withdraw those which is fine, but if i do not claim do they get added to my staked portion, or do i have to claim them and stake them again? As ideally I would like to have my rewards accumulate rewards as well.
thx for any help
!claim check this out. Let me know if that didnāt explain it.
NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuviumās Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.
yes that answers it, so you can not claim the ILV and then add eth and create additional SLP tokens and add it to the ILV/ETH SLP pool
the addition to the ILV pool goes automatic?
Not until the rewards end the vesting period of 12 months.
hi all, its been sometime since i drop back here. has the gas fee drop dramatically for ilv/eth pool when claiming rewards ?
Gas fess in general have dropped, but with V2 staking its cheaper to claim too
It will also only take one transaction
There is single token staking here right? For ILV?
Yes, you can stake single sided with just ILV, but the rewards are lower sitting at 24% APY
I see, but on LP for ETH/ILV what is the reward?
APY for the LP is 286% right now and you can claim as either ILV or sILV2 from both pools. Which will then be vested for 1 year
Let me try. Thank you
ILV almost hit $2k and silv2 is $200 right now. Id just buy the silv2
Which hardware wallet is recommended to use actually? I was thinking to get a ledger nano X. Any opinion on that?
i use trezor
The Nano X works well for me. I use one for cold storage and another for metamask
Ledger is great!
I found that, if you start off a Ledger Nano S works fine! (As long as you work from the computer) the nano S can be functional on 4 blockchains at once, such as Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin and many more. Obviously there is a lot of choice but it can only work on 4 at once.
While the S variant only can download 4 blockchain apps, this should be plenty if you are starting out. I only got Eth on my X and have enough space left for 19 more applications haha
So i would recommend buying a Ledger S, and then go for the family pack if it is still on sale. Get 3 nano S for basically 1.5x the price of a Nano X. You will be able to use 1 as your trader wallet, 1 as your cold storage and 1 as potentially a risk managing wallet.
3 ledgers > 1 imo. XD
Thanks for the thorough response!
To start off, I wanted to make my seed phrase more secure for the wallet which I am currently using to stake ILV. I am currently using Coinbase wallet and I read on the ledger page that it is possible to connect that wallet with ledger. For that scenario, is it enough for me to have only 1 nano S for now?
Yes a single ledger would be plenty! And a Nano X would overqualify for the job :D i bet you wouldnt want to do a bunch of transactions from that wallet to ensure the safety of your stake, so a ledger S would be a lot cheaper for that task.
I do think the exact way of "securing" your wallet is a little different than what you are thinking.
While you can connect the wallet with a ledger, you should see it as a wallet address being created on the ledger and giving the coinbase wallet access to send transactions to that address.
So for you, you would want to input the seedphrase from the staking-coinbase wallet into the ledger, then re-install the coinbase wallet, creating a new wallet in the process and then connecting your old staking wallet back onto the coinbase wallet through your ledger.
Well it just sounds harder than it is.
1 nano S will be good enough if you just want to secure a single wallet address. That should be the answer you were looking for
So after I have done all this, I will be at the standpoint where I wonāt be having my seed phrase shown within the Coinbase wallet anymore, and I am using the button(?) from the ledger to confirm transactions which I can do for staking/claiming rewards instead of the current way where I click on confirm on my Coinbase wallet from the phone/computer?
Yes. So you will copy your seed phrase from coinbase wallet and then integrate it on your Ledger.
From there you could go to metamask or any other "bridge" application and indeed confirm transactions through your ledger.
On the coinbase wallet however it also has the seedphrase still. So on that bridge application you can continue to process transactions the way you do now.
So to fix that, you will have to re-install the bridge and lose the seedphrase on your computer. From then on the knly way to sign transactions will be through your ledger.
Sounds like thatās what I want and need to do then.
Is it possible to reset a ledger so I could try this out first with a small other wallet which I have?
Yes!
Great. Thank you very much š
@craggy field legend
That is nice man!!
thank you much appreciated
Do you maybe have a spreadsheet or a formula used? I'm having trouble getting my calculations right.
anyone know when the land sale is going to happen?
Waiting for the IIP to know when. Hoping the proposal comes this month
i do. I just do a simple calculation. I calculated principal yield (deposit * apr) + compunding interest (rewards * ILV Pool apr) - X * gas fee
X = no. of transactions on eth network
From Keiran's tokenomics youtube clip with Andrew, I thought that whenever the vault triggers, then the vault would buy ILV from the market hence create buying pressure to drive up ILV price. How does RevDis works? From the staking page on ILV site, it seems to be a claim function type of mechanics.
yes, the vault swap ETH with ILV using the LP on sushi.
the revdis will be rewarded to stakers, and then the stakers can claim them.
And RevDis = 95% of the in-game transactions?
plus any other revenue generated by the IP
seems insane.
ILV is a keeper
im here for the game. But more importantly im here for revdis. I want to take a glimpse into the future
What keeps me puzzling, is that the interest gained on the ILV received as reward for the staking of eth/ilv, is even when you don't compound, receiving the 22% APR of the ILV pool, because in the end it is vested for 12 months anyway.
So to make it worth while, the interest that is additional to the 22% received on the ILV rewards, should be more then the costs for compounding it.
But I'm having a hard time figuring out, what that additional interest is, compared to what you normally would receive. it's 22% over the amount you'll claim early, but even if you don't claim you'll receive that 22%
Did you include that somehow in your calculations?
I think now that the claiming/vesting transactions for the rewards from ILV pool and eth/ILV pool are done in a single transaction it seems like there is very little (or no) additional cost to claim the little bit of rewards (compounding) from the ILV pool.
thats V2
yes, but even then...it's hard to figure out, what the additional reward is, if you compound the ILV/ETH pool instead of waiting for the pool to end and having the rewards of the vested amount being payed out 12 months after that without compounding.
Every time you claim, it costs for instance $30
The claimed amount is receiving 22% APR from then on, for one year.
But if you do't claim, the rewarded amount is after 12 months also vested and receiving 22% APR from then on, for one year.
It might be that with a very large investment, the additional 22% on the early claimed amount is worth it.
But I'm having doubts if that's the case if like me, you only got $2K invested. The rewards will be $5180 which will receive and additional 22% that's $1139,60 if you don't claim until the end.
Now if you claim half way before the end once, it will cost $30 for instance.
Half way you'll receive $569 - $30 = $539.
You could say, you'll receive 22% over this $539, which is $118 + 22% over the second half of $539, also $118
But if you didn't claim you would have received 22% over 1139,60, which is $250 and that's the same.
Normally when you compound for interest, you'll receive more, because the rewards are reinvested against the same interest as the original rewards and it isn't locked up anyway for 12 months, giving you that interest even if you don't compound. And also most often the gas isn't that high compared to the profit.
Am I missing something? I'm not sure how the APY would be higher on compounding, other then you'll be receiving the rewards faster.
I must be wrong somewhere?
Pending rewards do not earn.
Rewards must be claimed/vested for them to be able to start earning.
I think you're approaching this wrong. You're treating time as arbitrary in your example.
If you claim $569 at 60 months, it immediately starts compounding. When you claim again at 12 months, you now have $118 "extra" as pending rewards to claim. When you claim at 12 months, your principal is $118 larger than it would have been if you were to do a single claim at 12 months, because of compounding.
If you do a single claim at 12 months, your principal is $118 less AT the 12 month mark when compared to 2 claims (6 months and 12 months).
So after gas fees (1 extra claim at $30/claim), you're up about $90 over the first year.
I think it's a good exercise to work this stuff out for yourself, but there's a LOT of factors at play. Decreasing APY over time, the potential of revdis on earnings. That's not to say you shouldn't do your best to work it all out for yourself. It's just worth knowing what unknowns are at play.
I thought it was supposed to be free to claim silv still 45 bucks in gas?
Everything you do on the ETH blockchain requires a gas fee on layer 1
The only thing that's really "free" about sILV2 is that it doesn't lock for 1 year like ILV, it is instead usable/tradeable instantly
same as layer 2
Thank you for your explanation. Yes, getting the rewards earlier, lets you be up earlier. But how would you calculate the ideal compounding rate that way? Just compound as long as you are getting more then paying?
You would have to take a period of time to measure the ideal compound period to get the most profit.
Normally I wouldnāt compound a over 250% reward into a 22% reward pool; but just compound it back into the 250% pool by splitting it up into eth and ilv. Thatās easier to calulate, but asks for a way longer period due to the vesting times
There is a calculator spreadsheet in the pinned messages. #š„©ćstaking message
There is a page that shows you the optimal rate to claim rewards
It's some kind of optimization problem. I'm sure there's something mathy you can do.
I'd just use the calculators pinned here, personally.
You can input your holdings and the current gas rates and the current token prices to see what looks best.
Thanks, but I'm not seeing how to change the claim interval and what the result then is. Also when I change the date a lot of values dissapear. I think it's a bit to complicated for just figuring out the compound rate. Or it's just me being lost in the complexity of the form LOL
I did but somehow I still not know what I'm lokking at, and I'm unable to change the date to this year. Then some results completely dissapear. Doing something wrong I guess
Is anyone having issues connecting wallet to illuvium website via browser?
Not really. make sure you update browser and clear chace
Seems to work fine for me, please make sure you are connected to the official website.
Thanks, however I'm still not able to connect. Is there anything I can try?
change the browser as the last resort. Make sure to have your seed phrase. (watch out for DMs and scam websites)
Just an update - It took quite a few days for the claimed rewards to show up on vesting. But they do now, so if anyone else is not having them show up (for V2) right away, might just be normal during the transition. Thanks again.
Guys I have 2 ilv right now accumulated so far, and itās being locked for one year period. If revdis come will I get revdis? And where I can see the 2ilv is accumulating with 20%APY? I can only see my SLP APY daily reward for now. Thank you for your help
Have you claimed your pending rewards as ILV?
Well I was accumulating ilv rewards before and after the V2 upgrade it was already claimed automatically so now itās locked for a year
How have you been @gloomy gazelle !
Then it is earning. Itās just slow
Where can you see the earning of 2 ILV? From the ILV pool rewards?
Yeah. ILV is in the ILV pool
Guys silv will have the same price as ILV? 1:1?
sILV2, in ILV ecosystem, yes, Outside of it, no.
you mean it will not have a mechanism to ensure their prices stay together right? but in theory they should be the same, is that right?
what do I receive as reward If I stake SLP?
what ever the priivce of ILV is, sILV2 will have the same price in the ILV ecosystem (the game - land - etc). Outside of it, in the second market, it will never be tied to anything.
ILV/sILV2. you choose wheich one you wanna claim. They have different mechansm
ILV will be locked for 1 year right?
SILV2 will be used to in game trades right? i read the whitepaper a year ago, i'm sorry xD
Yep
The only currency used in the market will always be ETH. sILV is a secondary, in-game, currency and will be limited to those platforms. (you can also buy land and Illuvatars with it)
do I get revdis if I stake the SLP?
Yes. but only the ILV part of SLP gets it, not ETH
Concerning the revdis trough staked token is this how any play2earn game works?
Is 95% special? It seems absolutly incredicle at first look
The tokenomics of Illuvium are S tier. I haven't seen any other project that comes close.
All the rewards I have claimed to ilv
And are being vested/ where do I see the interest on those being accrued?
They are staked in the ILV core pool for 12 months at 2.0 weight, so they get the full APR of the ILV core pool. Right now it's about 22%.
What means "revenue generated by the IP"?
They accumulate in the same generic "Rewards" pile as your other deposits do.
Any revenue generated by Illuvium IP would include games, movies, merchandise, figurines etc.
Basically anything Illuvium branded.
Cool, thank you!
How often do you guys claim/restake? Or what threshold of built up rewards do you think its worth it to claim/restake?
I think everyone will have different answer, but you will have to consider eth gas and how many tokens you are claiming to determine whether its worth for you. I usually claim every other week or so
One thing to consider is how long it will take for the tokens you claim to earn back as much value as the cost in eth to claim. 1 ILV when claimed and therefore added to the ILV only pool and earning at the apr displayed on the staking site (around 22% at the moment I think) it will earn $0.43ish per day at current prices.
Hm yeah thats a good point. So if claiming + staking costs me like $60 gas lets say, then itlll only be worth it if I claim and stake ~$300 worth of ILV at 22% apy
Cuz then I earn the $60 back at the end of the year
Even that is way too little.
Why claim it if you could buy $60 of ILV and have more ILV than you started with?
Iād say youād want to be able to earn your gas fees back in no more than 3 months.
Hm i see
So then for $60 of gas Id have to claim and stake ~$1200 at 22% apy. That gets me $300 for the year which means I earn the gas back in like ~2.5 months
If you next claim is more than 2.5 months later, then yes. Because if you plan to clain more often then your benefice can only be counted from now until next claim
Calculator finally updated and usable with V2.
New Dune query to get the blockchain data also updated.

Is gas cheaper when claiming now?
Sometimes a little. But mostly it save us money by making us do fewer transactions
Lol I paid him to say it donāt worry.
It hurts even more cause it's true
š¤£
hi all. are we suppose to see a reduction in gas fee when we claim for ilv rewards ? it still seems high to me
Sometimes a little. But mostly it save us money by making us do fewer transactions
thanks
You rock bro. I was literally here to have a look for it and see if updated. I imagine that the optimal frequency of claiming has changed with lower claiming costs.
Do you have a "suggested" optimal approach for claiming? Of course I appreciate NFA, but you might have noticed that every 3 ILV or 10 ILV or whatever seems to work well
Amount of ILV don't matter. What matters is how much rewards you get per day. It's not the same claiming 10 ILV every 6 month and claiming 10 ILV every 2 days. You've a pretty useful tools in the sheet that will help. For example i've 10 ILV to claim, get 0.7ILV per day. By not claiming i lost 20$ .... if i wait 5 more days i'll have lost 32$ ..... if I wait 30 days i'll have lost 166$ ...... So honestly, now, with the ILV pool growing, it's less and less interesting to claim quickly .... the coumpoungd effect is very limited now ..... 1 ILV claimed reward you 0.0006 ILV / 0.33$ a day .....
You can change the header of the columns in the dashboard to indicate how many ILV / days you want to simulate .... it should help you decide
Insightful, thank you. I'm accruing 0.25 per day. So I look at the breakeven for gas fees and then make it work.
Be careful not wasting too much in gaz for very limited rewards increase. I'd be more looking of the revdis impact on the claim rythm.... It may be interesting to slow down until we have revdis, and increase the frequency once we have some .....
How the heck have you reached octopus status already? We were at the same level at some point! Thats crazy good work, did you purchase more ILV or just purely from yield rewards?
Hehe ... from rewards .... but that's ILV + SLP (the ILV part of course) ... havn't bought ILV in some time š I've another 9 SLP though that i locked for 1 month when v2 released, not sure yet if i lock it for 12 or leave it "flexible" .... not counted in my octopus status hehe .... but yeah, lurking around and waiting for land sale, launch and revdis ....
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your genius level insights. You add a ton of value to the community.
Octopus is fire. I'm fish now, hopefully rare fish in 12 months. I hope your 3 year "realistic" prediction is right brother, we all making it!
Thats awesome, congrats! Whats your plan for land sale? Going to pick some up or just bask in the revdis glory?
Wait not octopus, squid š mistake here, I still need 40 ilv to be octopus š but yeah ⦠I hope so, itāll all depend if the adoption ⦠very difficult to evaluate ⦠I think we will have to adapt the strategy ⦠if I knew land sale was going to be delayed by 5 months, I would have much more ilv today ā¦. Easy octopus š„“
@knotty heron yeah Iāll try to get some land, Iām desperate for any news other than delays š
Where are these levels defined?
Pinned messages in #š°ćtoken
Thanks
Someone referred to a "realistic prediction" you've done. Is it a YouTube video? I'd love to check it out
Nah⦠itās just the numbers I felt, believed in that I used in my dashboard (check the pinned here) itās all personal and can be changed to accommodate what you have in target. Iām not a moonboi, I like to have a realistic and even negative scenario ⦠thatās all š
Ahhh sweet
How do I find it? I'm not good with discord
Hi I am also new to staking and you are talking here about some calculator, which could help me decide when to take my rewards, can you point me to the location of the calculator please?:)
thanks
Well you should stake asap, its more when you claim the rewards
asap? I dont think so, because of the gas
lets say the reward is $30 and the gas is also $30, then its definitely not asap š
Also, what is a squid v octopus v fish etc
Itās just a fun stuff talked about last year, just to give a sea animal depending of how many ilv youāve. The dashboard is calculating it automatically. For fun only and brag about how many ilv youāve without saying a number š
Arash and Fraggy are massive whale for example @brisk surge but weāve no idea how many ILV they are hiding š
I'm a tiny crab. Haha
I wish I was š
Finally graduated from plankton to shrimp after the V2 upgrade š¤©
So hey, I'm really wondering about what everyone thinks 1 ILV will earn per month in revdis
Let's say, hypothetically, from the very first revdis, the second, and third
You are referring to claims again, not staking in general
I said stake as soon as possible, but look when to time your claims
I really have no idea š
Dang!!! I just bought 12 more ILV, hoping to retire next week. Wen revdis.
Whale? lol 𤣠yeah in my dreams. I have to be thankful for not having been eaten by fish in the water haha
We all love you here bro

For some reason people think all mods are loaded š
Just go with it. It makes me feel safer clicking links from you guys
We are mostly loaded with helpful comments and words but wallets and accounts empty and broke IRL š¤£
That is death š
a little bit of clog wont kill
You'll probably die after eating that, I'll have 2
you should watch mukbang
I'm not saying I don't trust you but I'm not even going to google that
you are going to think about it
and you are going to google mukbang
I like fries. But. Yeah. No. No way.
It arrived now. Setting it up later š
There is a google sheets calculator in the pinned messages that provides good estimates for possible revdis outputs in the future
Thats quick! It usually took 3-4 workdays for me o.o did you buy it from Ledger itself or from a third party?
Bought it from Amazon
you gotta buy another, from Ledger this time man!
never buy them from third party companies as they could be tampered with
If you do want to give this one a try, then make sure to check out a video where it explains what should be available in the package. If any of the things is missing, or looks different from what you'd expect, throw it out.
It was sold by ledger via Amazon and sent by Amazon. And I will be checking the box content
Personally wouldn't buy it unless you bought it directly from the ledger's site.
Really be careful with this!
some people reseal the package but add a seedphrase into the ledger, or on one of the added pages to write down the seedphrase on. If you use the one that they wrote up then you basically have their wallet on your ledger and sending anything there would be sent away directly.
they could also have inserted some kind of bug in the device to read out your seedphrase (Or at least that last one is my paranoia speaking :D)
crypto is so scary
hello! I need support. I migrated to staking v2 and the rewards that were built up in v1 all disappeared
Check vesting tab.
oh yeah LMAO
Never buy from any 3rd party Only buy direct from manufacture
Ok youāve made me scared enough now. I will just use this one now to test the process with a new/āfakeā wallet to see how this all works out and then I will return this one and order one from ledger directly. Donāt want to risk anything
Or put your seed phrase in and send it back for the next one to use itš
I'm sorry mate! I wish the space was more regulated and you could just trust amazon blindly š We aren't there just yet though! š Hope things work out! it's always better to be careful when you trust that entire stake to a new device!
I donāt have any risk if I try this with a new wallet right? Or can they somehow access my pc content if I connect it?
Idk, if you think they juggled around with the hardware then anything is possible xD but i'd find that odd. And i don't want to make you as paranoid as me!
I mean it looks completely sealed off and I will check whether it wants a PIN or if a seed phrase is on it already
I bet it won't be as horrible as i portray it to be. it could work out fine, and nothing happens. We are just telling you to be careful š
It may or may not be as horrible as you think but if you are entrusting your assets to it, donāt look for trouble and donāt Mickey Mouse around ā ORDER DIRECT FROM MANUFACTURER. End of story.
Yes, I just wonāt touch this one and order one from ledger. š
good call
I have ordered a 3 nano S bundle pack now from ledger my girlfriend also might need one and then I can have one for backup š
having some issues upgrading - i have been staking since november in ILV / Eth pool. When i click on upgrade it says i have 30 dollar eth fee ( fine ) so i confirm and then i just get the wheel of death ...does it take longer than an hour to process?
Double check if the transaction is viewable on Etherscan.
If it's not, it means that your wallet isn't actually sending the transaction.
That can usually be fixed by clearing your browser cache, updating your browser and wallet, restarting your computer, and trying again.
The SLP will take two transactions to upgrade, and mine cost a combined $37 at lower gwei than right now - check your gas settings. If your gas is below network conditions, it won't go through until the gas price drops
Copy That - ill double check , but i believe it says viewable on etherscan, and my wallet shows connected to site but ill do the usual cache clear and try again, thanks
If you're using MM, it will have a link to the transaction on Etherscan. You should check it directly, it will always provide the link regardless of whether it's an actual transaction or not.
If the transaction DOES exist on Etherscan (and is pending), it likely means that the gas price is too low.
yeah shows pending in MM- ill adjust gas thanks
@elder dawn just wanted to say thanks again for all of your hard work on the staking calculator. It's a great contribution to the community and helps all of us make better decisions (and get more bullish.) We are lucky to have you.
I really appreciate it! Been working on a bigger update and trying to predict pool growth. Hope to have some new things out soon.
Pending in Metamask does not necessarily mean it has actually made it to the blockchain. Etherscan.io is the standard place to go to check that. Metamask should have a way to click to view on āexplorerā
Guys do I need to restake after I upgrade if my tokens r unlocked?
I mean to continue getting rewards?
No. Unlocked tokens continue to earn at the same weight they had before they unlocked.
Looking forward to the upgrade. I use your calculator all the time. Just playing around with numbers and different scenarios. Trying to see when I can retire and live off of Illuvium š
Iām sure a lot of work went into it and just know the community uses it a lot and appreciates your effort.
do locked tokens at 2.0 weight also earn that weight on revdis? so youd get double the revdis if 1 year lock?
Weight does apply to revdis, yes.
the locked seeds\treasury tokens aren't staked so they are 1.0 weight then right
They are in a pool with 0 weight for YF, but they are at a 2.0 weight for revdis IIRC
Hey guys if everything goes well and Illuvium has maybe 2+ games out do you think its reasonable to say we could be getting about $15 usd per staked ILV a month in revdis?
Anything is possible and depends on tons of variants. But you can join RevDis discussion in #š°ćtoken
In case some of you forget why you are here:
$100m rev/month is possible
So if we factor in the SILV2 claims we need about 250 ILV and living off revidis is possible
We know how much silv2 has been claimed?
Could someone please confirm how long do we have to move from v1 to v2? I am aware whilst we don't move we are not getting rewards
There is no time limit. And yeah, unless you upgrade, you won't get rewards or RevDis
Awesome. Thanks
Only 249 more to go
Rocking same boatš¤
Hello guys... Today I transfered my ILV to my address here: https://staking.illuvium.io/ via metamask, and then I tried to start staking. I got an error because I didn't have enough gas.. Then like 3 hours later, all my ILV was gone!!! How do I know if that went to staking or if I was scammed?
Did you check the vesting tab?
Checking...
It says: Looks like you have no vests
I did everything in the site: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking Thats the real one right?? OMG!!
It says: Looks like you have no vests
I did everything in the site: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking Thats the real one right?? OMG!!
what does your metamask activity show
Mine was 3 hours ago... aprox
Or even better, look at this one: https://etherscan.io/address/0xde7cdf76bdf32d6d74b83a015ea7fc88e675b9ac#tokentxns
The first 2 was mine, then the ILV was gone like 3 hours later
so it took some time for my slp to show up on vesting
Oh maybe thats it.. I hope its because of that!! It was like 500$! š¦
but it did show rewards being accrued pretty quickly
@cyan rampart do you have a moment to help look into this?
do you have anything on that part of metamask?
My ILV was gone like almost 3 hours ago.. Do you think that should be visible in vesting already?
whats your activity show on metamask for the last couple transactions
Checking
It says somethingn about : Approve ILV spending limit
If I go to the ILV token, I only see 1 item in metamask, that spending limit thing..
click on the approve ilv spend limit and go to the link for ethscan
view on block explorer, link what it posts. But if it shows approve you should be good
This is the link for that: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x61d4dbfee1025f892655826e8e7162011a755142b1d9464e0d03a3d855c34fdb
when you go to rewards on the website, does it show anything that youve earned yet
It says: Looks like you have no rewards
whats your wallet address
Is it normal to have rewards like 3 hours later?
This one: 0xde7CdF76BDF32D6D74B83A015eA7fC88E675b9AC
I saw my $500 there in that panel in staking in the beginning, but then it showed zero! š®
ILV Balance zero.. Is that normal when I start staking?? The problem here is that in the beginning when I clicked on stake, and tried to start it, it gave me an error..
It did'nt let me do it.. Because of gas I think.
But then my ILV dissapeared!! It was almost 1 ILV.. š¦
did you lock the ILV at all or kept it flexible
Do you mean the duration?
ya
I put 1 year.. It went on hold because of the gas, then
I think it got executed.. Do you think my ILV is safe for now?
did you transfer more ETH from one wallet to another at some point?
i dont know what this transaction is 4 minutes after your ILV approve
but it looks liek you are good if you locked it for 1 year
Ok first, I transfered like 20$ in ILV, then I transfered like 20$ in ETH,, all that to metamask, then when I saw it working, I transfered the rest of the ILV, that it was like $500..
Then I tried to start the staking, and it gave me an error because of gas I think.. Then 2 or 3 hours later, my ILV dissapeared.. Those are the steps I did mainly.. š
The problem is that I don't see it anywhere.. The only thing I need is like a message in the dashboard or somewhere else that says that I have 1 ILV staking for 1 year..
But everything is in zero.. š¦ Not sure if that's normal, or if I have to wait a lttle more to see it in the dashboard maybe..
If it s not anymore on your wallet, look the "vesting" tab on the stacking part of the website.
If it s not there, look your tx on the Blockchain to see if it went through or still pending
Is not in vesting.. yet.. But here you can see the transactions.. 2 IN, 1 OUT: https://etherscan.io/address/0xde7cdf76bdf32d6d74b83a015ea7fc88e675b9ac#tokentxns
The first for 20$ aprox, then the rest for $500..
man i hate to be bearer of bad news but this doesnt look good
i have no idea what this wallet is 0xf84d8a8e4ada8b6aeef0212f25c1261e50b4ef19 this looks like it has your ilv
No worries, that s probably just UI.
nothing can disapear on the Blockchain, when a mod or dev will see it, they will solve it easyly
Technically your are right.. But how can I talk to someone in IT to solve this?
