What exactly do you want? Also Megacities is an expansion that will need features confirmed via IIP. But when I worked on it my thought was that it would help us expand into new games, new revenues for land holders. Etc. For example if we did a space game you would need ships. They would need to be manufactured in Megacities.

There is some intricate work regarding how this impacts the economy so I stopped before going into too much detail as we need to see how the economy functions first.

Well, I'd argue the idea that you have to sell it to the pool makes more sense. As that way you have to actively play instead of just receiving passive income. and there's also going to be a "cap" on the amount of fuel you can hold, so if you ignore it for a while you can't just come in and sell a boat load at once

so there are 3 kinds of fuel, does all land produce all of these fuels? or only lands with corresponding fuel sites (e.g. if you don't have Solon Trench, you can't produce SOLON fuel)

ok answering my own question, it seems that if you don't have that fuel site, you can't harvest that kind of fuel but ... you can build a structure where you can convert it to other types of fuel
so in my case, since i don't have crypton rift, I'll need L-CRYPTON COLLIDER to convert either hyperion or solon to crypton

Again, I think the goal was to make it fully playable and synergistic with the main game, but yes, I suspect it will be a good bit more challenging. In terms of upgrades to T2, I'm not as sure. The fuel, to my understanding, is more "sell this for credits," and then buy others from the market, anyway. So, this is all kinda speculative until the game is in our hands, but I find it hard to believe they would make the first move to screw over the players who can afford to play at the lowest level.

I have zero guesses on that. I'm here for the main game, and collecting the Illuvials. My personal interest is to get in on Gen 1 and sit on them until Gen 2 and Gen 3 come out and the true FOMO sets in that people missed out on the first generation or two. That's how Magic and Pokemon were. Once they had a few sets out there, the first cards skyrocketed.

Yes. They will always supply fuel to keep the price within certain guardrails for the overworld game. In other words, they don't want there to be some OPEC-like cartel that corners the market on Crypton and makes travel prohibitively expensive. So the DAO will always provide the resource such the the market can only swing maybe +/- 20% or 25%.

They apparently hired a legit economist to monitor and help with simulating such things and making adjustments. Which is (1) totally bonkers from a game design perspective and yet, (2) something I wish WOW, Everquest, and Runescape had done. lol

So the revenue will go back to the DAO for the fuel sold from them and finally be distributed. On the other side if too much is offered they will buy it. But with what funds as the Vault is changing all ETH to ILV.

Again, this is based on interviews and various bits I've gotten over the past year, but for them to go fully open-market toward Illuvium Zero means they trust it will not create a headache for people playing in the Overworld.

I guess the summary would be: Illuvium Zero will INFLUENCE the prices in the marketplace, but it will not fully determine them. People playing in the Overworld will have an advantage if they play in both games as they won't have to buy fuel for shards or travel from the market and can produce them on their own.

They have said their intent is to use a Balancer pool as the AMM with constraints as I described above.

This, I think, is the right attitude. By itself, this paradigm would change gaming. You buy an NFT, you can take care of all game progression without cash out-of-pocket (or at least it is much cheaper), and when you get tired of the game, you can sell the NFT. That's such an insanely cool concept all by itself ... and it is just one of dozens of great ideas I think are packed into this thing. If it doesn't succeed, I'll be quite disappointed ... but mostly, I'll honestly be surprised/shocked.

You should be able to sell your surplus of (whatever) to buy the hyperion. Also, you can build a converter to make the hyperion at some reduced rate. So, it should be a huge boost to your Overworld game no matter what plots you own.

And Solon is used to make weapons, armor, and skins ... I don't think any of it will be useless.

1 fuelsite of a t1? Nothing, or next to nothing. If you're buying a t1 it's not for fuel production. You probably won't make the money you spend on a t1 back in a year. I can say with pretty good certainly. You may get a cool blueprint and be able to sell it for more though.

Fuel income will be based on 5% of revenue for the game. T1 lands fuel spots produce 900% less fuel than 1 t4 spot. T4 lands also have 9 fuel sites...so t4s will automatically produce 36x the fuel, not including the landmark bonus. Which puts it to 40ish. The 5% is spread out over all landowners based on contribution... so t1s have such a small % of contribution that they won't even be getting .001% of 5%

This doesn't seem correct. I think you (or Scoriox) are conflating RevDis (5% to land holders) with the fuel marketplace (Balancer pools, last I heard). While I would still expect a T4 to make more money from fuel production than a T1, that is based on share of the Balancer pool supply, not the RevDis.

For fuel revenue, it will depend on the volume in the marketplace. More players = more likely to make money on fuels. While this will be strongly correlated to RevDis, it ... won't be exactly the same ... if that makes sense.

To further explain what I mean, let's choose two scenarios. (A) My expectations: People will play the game, starting with this community, and maybe 1-2 million people screw around with it in the first few months. It will slowly ramp up from there until the 2nd or 3rd generation, maybe the first massive eSports event, or some future event, and then it will go bonkers to 10 million+ players. Huzzah, WAGMI, etc. but the first year product $ for a T1 is almost nothin.

(B) Kieran is God King scenario: The minute Illuvium goes GA, enough guilds and eSports pros start playing that it becomes the next viral sensation like Fortnite or League of Legends. Everyone plays trying to catch the rare illuvials, and it is a complete overnight success. In this scenario, there are only 20,000 operating land plots. The DAO will have to constantly pump new fuel into the marketplace as all of our fuel from Illuvium Zero drains out the moment it is produced.

(C) The game is a bust: Then it is no different than if you bought any other NFT. Sorry. Maybe in 10 years, there will be a nostalgia wave of NFT's and the land NFT will be a weird kind of flex 2 bull runs from now.

Note: This is not RevDis - this is just the fuel market. They are separate, unless I'm missing something recently disclosed.

So yes its not really 5% of revenue. Also tbh, down the line it's possible we tweak the ratios...I personally dislike land owners only supplying 5% of fuel (illuivum generates 19x more to keep it stable). So at any time land is only supplying a tiny portion, it's possible down the line it gets bumped up to say 10% to give more earning to land owners. At first it was going to be 50% of fuel from land owners which I agree was too much, but I think 5% is too little.

Most likely we will make b) if not with this game then with the next. But land will also be diluted so growth. It's already calculated in that you should get a steady income even with new plots releasing because more player will play.

Land won't be diluted until they absolutely have to though, so definitely getting land early assuming illuvium succeeds was the play.

Also if there are a million players, odds are land will be highly HIGHLY sought after at that point going forward. Especially because it's not just illuvium that uses fuel but it will also be tied to other games, as well as end game ilv zero using fuel as well.

I suppose at this point, I'd want to see the smart contracts or whatever code ends up linking it all together. We're all speculating, and it is all subject to change, anyway, so it's not worth getting too pedantic about at this point.

All I can fall back on is that I doubt the Warkwicks are going to have a successful project if all the T1 land holders feel like they got f***'d. And I think they have to know that. The whole point of the project is to attract millions of people using a free-to-play game and hope they end up spending money, here. So, suggesting they have to go from $0 out-of-pocket to buying a $250,000 megacity just to "level the playing field" seems very incongruous, to me.

Well, if I done the math right, in that case it doesn’t matter much which tier of land you bought. ROI, just from fuel production view, should be pretty much equal across all tiers. For example a T3 produces 12 times the amount of fuel as a T1 but also costs roughly 10 times more as a T1. So if T1 revenue sucks, also the revenue for other tiers will suck🤷

That was just from a fuel perspective...not a convenience prospective and not from a blueprint standpoint either. Also remember there's only 869 t4 lands, where as there are so many t1s. Also, t4s will be able to build up their lands at a quicker pace. Plus outside of megacity examples I'd expect more love to be shown to t4 holders than t1 holders. Just because it's so much easier to give a small benefit to at max 869 holders ( but I know for sure some people bought multiple t4s)

I think honestly the open world closed beta and ILV Zero will draw in a lot more eyeballs to the game and space as they are games that are more casual in nature.
