Getting to play the game and getting a set of 5 cool blueprints that will be the initial stage for 10 more cool blueprints of stage 2 and 3... i think that's cool.
(though i'm not sure if you can get the stage 2 and three without the first 🤷‍♂️)
But i think Johnny said: First you find the Stage one blueprint, then you find the second and then the third.
When the beta hits, the blueprints will be limited through a bonding curve as well.

So if you have absolutely no chance at those stage 1 blueprints because there are already a couple hundred found by the active alpha players, then won't the stage 2 and 3 blueprints also be limited to those Stage one holders once the beta comes out?

😂 yea... Illuvium Land Made me research Projects waaaay deeper than just watching different YouTube vids.
I remember someone saying ( think it was kieran) in a YouTube vid before Landsale ALL fuel will be generated on Land... Land will be the only Source of fuel.
Afterwards... Well the DAO puts out 95% of all fuel 🤦
Since then, im digging into whitepapers, official channels etc.

This is an alpha testing phase that they're about to launch.... not game with ample earning opportunities. We already knew the fuel generation would not be connected to the block chain... so expecting there to be a lot of BPs didn't really seem to be in the cards as I speculated.

The idea is that you test because you want to provide feedback and hammer out any bugs/issues you find for the betterment of the game. You shouldn't expect much (if anything) in terms of rewards. Being able to test and be part of the process is a reward in itself, imo. You gain the experience and hey, you get some blueprints along the way.

True, but you're going to be able to get that information from YouTube as well. I have 7 lands, and at least at first, this is probably going to take hours out of my day (plus content creation), so I would hope to have more than a BP that 5000 other people have too out of it.

I'm not down with this whole "Well you shouldn't have expected x, y and z" philosophy. BPs seem to be the one thing where the gap between what we want to know, and what we do know is the widest. Not much material out on this, and a lot of unconfirmed rumors, and a lot of things changing on the fly.

So when that occurs, of course expectations are going to be all over the map. It's completely natural.

If what we know about Alpha BPs (or at least what we assume to know), was known before the land sale, then reasonable expectations would be set. But they weren't. Likely because nobody knew yet, I totally understand, but you can't come back later and say "You shouldda known". I only know what I've been told.

They were using an open source auction contract for the T5s and it was found to have a vulnerability before the sale. There wasnt time to make a new contract before the sale so the T5s were delayed. Pretty much right after the land sale the market went to shit so there hasnt been a lot of push for it to happen until there is either utility for the arenas or the market is looking a little more positive.

To be honest I don’t think anyone knows yet how profitable land will be. I would hope that it would at least be able to fund your overworld play or supplement your fuel needs.
Not financial advice but for me personally I will be trying ever form of game play in illuvium with the exception of comp play to see where is most fun and most profitable

So just wondering what people think about this. During the land sale I got 1 tier 1 land from each region. I decided that it would be cool to have 1 from each as well as the chance at more blueprints rather than having 1 higher tier. So I did get land with an even number of fuel sights over all but many of them do not have 3 different ones on them. I was hoping that land in the same wallet could transfer fuel but it sounds like that may not be possible. So the question is would it be better to sell them and try and get 1 tier 3?

Maybe you take also into consideration, that you have more Scanner, scanning for blueprints with 2-3x t1 instead of 1xT2.
Normally the cheaper the asset is, the faster you can resell it, if you ever want to sell.
You can get Land in different regions with multiple landplots, instead of just 1 Region.

Yes, that was one of the points i was taking in consideration, but as i'm what kieran refers to as a little guy (i hold few ilv and silv) my strategy was to get a land with Crypton and Hyperion so i can capture illuviums asap before they become affected by the scarcity mechanism (i don't know the exact name) after that, i was thiking about keeping those gen 0 illiviums for the long run, to play with them or even sell them

You can't actually send your crypton and hyperion directly to your Overworld Ranger.
You have to sell it from your landplot to kind of a pool, and in the Overworld you have to buy it from that pool.

I don't believe it would reduce RevDis. Step #3 in Johnny's post above still includes the action of selling Fuel into the Fuel/ETH pool and then the action of buying that fuel from the fuel/ETH pool as well.

But rather than having the player sell their fuel in IZ for ETH and then in a separate transaction, using that ETH to buy the fuel back, both of those actions would automatically happen behind the scenes after a player clicks the "Transfer to Wallet" (or similar) button in their Zero Point Transducer in Illuvium: Zero

It would be labeled as a "Transfer" but really it's a sale and purchase done within one click.

Imagine: At some point your buildings that mine for resources might take 24 hours +10 min to finish. So you come online at a set time each day, click to collect, get them back to work and then go offline for the day.
Then once a while you have to sell those resources to the balancer pool to get Eth.

yes, the exact times have not been confirmed but there are two different type of production buildings. There is a passive one that produces small amounts but takes a while to get full, and an active version that requires you to come online more regularly but also produces more in turn.

Hów active or passive is not concrete yet. Just the fact that there is a choice there 🙂

Building times will likely be the same for every land (hasn't been stated to be different specifically). The plots will also be similarly big. 50x50 per land. the only difference lies in the efficiency and amount of resources they produce. You can imagine that T4 lands can build a lot more stuff because they have an abundance of resources.

Speculation here, but to me this seems obvious (NFA or whatever):
The Free to play sandbox content will have the same resource production rates as T2s (since they are not connected to the blockchain, they don't interact with the ILV economy so don't worry)
T1s obviously produce less, and this might become a thing that players will get blocked by at some point. Imagine the team keeping up with T2 content, because they need to keep the entire F2P community happy. Then T1 lands will produce less resources, and because of that fall behind further and further compared to the other lands.

Now there have been discussions about resource delivery from one land to another, you can imagine that T4 lands have plenty resources, producing ~9x as much as a T2 land. So if 1 T4 can supply 9 T1 lands with enough resources, then you can keep up with the content creation 🙂 But this is only an option to people wíth those higher tier lands.

My guess would actually be that they use ERC-1155 contracts.

Basically ERC-721 tokens are all under the same token contract and all tokens are completely unique from each other. So you would have a token contract 'Blueprint' and each individual token is unique within that contract
This would mean that if you had two 'atlas hybrid armor Tier 5' blueprints you could not transact with them interchangeably. So if someone put an offer of .5 ETH on one of your blueprints you could only fill the order with that specific token, not another 'atlas hybrid armor Tier 5' token.

ERC-1155 allows for multiple token types to be created under the same contract. You would have a single contract 'Blueprint' but have separate unique token types within that contract that are fungible within their token.
This would mean you could create a unique token for each type of blueprint and you could use 'atlas hybrid armor Tier 5' interchangably with another 'atlas hybrid armor Tier 5'

There could be other circumstances that I dont know about that impact the decison like IMX compatibility or contract costs.

Ive asked the devs about this and they said that they liked the idea and Aaron has mentioned transfer fees similar to real life where it costs more time and resources to transport to far away places. (Interview of like November or something... if im really correct it was on OCG or either vetemor or Volkin's interview back then.)

So i guess it will just be in there for sure. But I have not heard any clear details on the mechanic and how things would work specifically 🙂

What ís known is that Lands within a megacity share their resources so you wont have to send resources from one to another. In-game you will be able to see a 100x100 plot for 4 plots(2x2) and a 150z150 plot for a 9 plot megacity(3x3).

it seemed to be a weird mix of the two games as I recall but, honestly, I could have just been mistaken about that point. It certainly wasn't the "up to date" plot that I had on my PC and it wasn't the same plot as the old save on my laptop (which was a few days old by that point). The other big miss is that when I did reset the plot, the Goals didn't completely reset (e.g., i currently have no dailyu or weekly goals - which both say they reset in [x] days).

1. Progress lost from the period played after the timezone change
2. An known issue with some in game items like fact and blueprint, not always being saved

megacities?. You will not be able to create them. It's already impossible. Until another land sale comes out. Only if you now have 3 lands together is there a slim chance for you to buy the one you lack. I have 3, buying land and price premiums I managed to buy another megacity. I recently sold it for about $14,000 (tier 3 + 3 tier 1). They are worth less than you think. They do not provide an economic advantage, only that of sharing resources, something like if it were a single land.

Zero has little direct impact on your Overworld and arena play. It could produce enough of an income so you don’t have to pay to play the other games.

b/c for T1, the real play is to go for scanners b/c you can't really be efficient with fuel/elements. Also, carbon is the more useful node, then hydrogen (I trhink). so if you can't get a plot with all 3, then i'd try to get one with two carbon at least. Later on, carbon doesn't really matter but it helps in the beginning - so i could see an approach where you'd take all nodes in a corner vs. actual types of nodes

you want all the nodes in a corner so you have more empty space for scanners

yeah others might disagree with the importance of the actual node types. Also, Crypton is the best fuel, so i'd try to find a plot with that as well. But, as i think more about it, I think the corner location is more important that node types, at least for T1.

if you don't have the right nodes, things do take a bit longer, but that's only in the short run. eventually node types won't matter as much as node locations when you're trying to max out scanners

4 harder to find ones - can anyone tell me how many tries on average/roughly it's taken you to find any of the 4 harder ones? Or what level your singularity scanner was when you found any of the harder ones?

I'm over 16 tries on each land with level 2 Scanners for the second Illuvial and have yet to find anything other than the "easy" one and all the facts/blueprints for it on each land which averaged 4-5 fails to get or succeed on the researches. Different zones and all Scanners are at 100% and I'm running multiple at a time with no success.

When playing the game there should be a V#.#.# in the bottom left. If not then you definitely need to delete the application and Download the game again to get the new build. There is no automatic updates for the alpha at this stage.

I don't have a lv6 converter yet to test with, but so far it seems to only work on 51% or more for the levels that generate 1/day or 1/2days

They will not work if you place them too close to other fuel converters (they reduce efficiency of nearby fuel converters). But they work just fine with enough spacing between (or power stations).

My priorities if i had to buy a land today :
▪️ a neighboring land to one of my plots
▪️ if above is not availiable, a land in a region where i dont currently own land.
▪️ I would favor regions where music and surroundings is most comfortable to play on.
▪️ For my current layouts, I prefer not to have mines in the center part, and there must be 2 opposing corners relatively free of mines.
▪️ IMO type of ressource is irrelevant, but i would favor a land with one of each ressource.
▪️ price must be close to floor.

I'll add my 2 cents on this here as well. I don't think fighting each other makes much sense when all of us are crash-landed on this planet and trying to rebuild our ship.

I can see competitive elements about who helps the most with collecting carbon to repair the ship's hull. Who collects most fuel for it. Who researches the most, etc.

Is there a way of increasing your chances to find a new illuvial with your scanners? I found Atlas pretty quickly with my Halcyon Sea land, but since then i've had 3 scanners running constantly and never find any new illuvials. 🙁

Yeah, you don't necessarily fight in your base or city, rather it might be at a mining camp, FOB, or outpost. If you compare it to the gold standard for city builders, at least on mobile, clash of clans has their other little island you can build on, might be obscure if you don't know anything about clash, but what you're saying makes sense.

Just building out on my idea:

Clash of clans, as i know it had the option to raid the base that you built up over a long period of time similar to backyard monsters. I oppose this way of PvP.
at some point they added the guild wars where you have that fake-base that people would destroy, or the outpost where you unlocked the secondary base with weird resources and such. around that point I quit playing 🙂

For IZ i don't see how an outpost on the ground floor would make sense because the entirety of the world is divided up into land plots. There is basically no room for outposts on the surface of the planet. There is no place for basic raids from base to base. for me the only way would be to look for a place other than the surface. Space is cool. But there is this barrier that bashed the spaceship so I don't think that will work either. Which leaves going underground. extra mining opportunities under the regions that players play in could be interesting.

Copies of the base make no sense for the potential lore? , though maybe guilds could be made and then a holographic fight could play out between guilds where you have in-game bets on who will win. and your production is actually tied to the in-game fake battle based bet. xD

Yeah the gameplay options are a little constrained by the plot aspect. You COULD go underground, a little iffy, or it could be that the land you build on is a portion of your plot which would allow for the FOBs, or mining bases. they could of course plot armor it in by saying "well yeah, it WOULD make sense to build on ALL your land, but all these corporations have zoning limits to reduce pollution, but of course everyone sends raiding parties, so it's all about protecting your borders from raiders" or something like that. The other option would be to have it be pure entertainment, you train your troops and send them to fight in an arena. So it isn't at your base, it is in an arena, apex legends style, and that way no one has to worry about their resources.

We know IZ is intended to be primarily an economic resource but it would be cool to see actual gameplay added in there as well.

Read through some of the earlier comments, and I feel a pvp aspect in IZ would make no sense at all.
Instead, create a PvE mystery race that periodically raids player settlements so you would have to defend against attacks. Then give us the option to team up and co-op raid those attackers.
That would make a lot more sense in a "We just crashlanded and are trying to survive and rebuild" setting, compared to adding a generic PvP mechanic just because every similar game has it.
I'd love to se more co-op aspects in here, how about you?

I had it working at 100% yesterday on my T1 with one plant growing up near my scanner, but it went down when I restarted the scanner today.
So I think it disregards new plants popping up while you have an active scan going, but it counts them for any new scans you start.
