Can the legendary Illuvial be played in the Arena? Does it only have one stage? Will it be the biggest Illuvial we will find in OW? Can it only be found after finalising the Illuvidex so 205 catched and in the wallet?

So many questions can't wait for the first one to find it maybe we get some small hints?!

I hope with every season we will get some Illuvials which are not leaked right away!

I like the idea of the legendary illuvial only being able to be caught and used once you have all 205 in the wallet. Gives a good "end game" thing to grind towards.

People would buy the illuvials off of others, catch one legendary and sell the unnecessary illuvials again. So you would have to stamp all the Illuvials in the dex upon capturing one. Kinda cool idea though.
Or it could increase trading of illuvials thereby fees. Maybe that could be an interesting goal as well

True. Perhaps the illuvial is only usable on the account it was catched on? Goes a bit against what illuvium is about with owning and trading your own assets though - although i'm sure there will be plenty of unlockable things from achievements in game that will not be nfts to sell so tied to the account

Maybe they will not tell us at all as they planned something else. But I think would be great to be able to work toward the legendary which can only be caught after the dex is done. The chance to find it can still stay super low or be bound to other conditions. You must be able to sell it otherwise it would not be fair for the next generations to play the game or you simply can't use it in PVP.

Other thing they could implement is a holo equipment after finalising the dex which increase holo rates like 5 %. But as you wrote for such items it would need to be account bound which goes against the idea. Also I don't think many will be able to catch all of them as it will simply be too expensive for most players.

I play DOTA 2 for 15 years already and these Illuvitar Disks looks like a Collector’s Cache on DOTA 2. Thats worth $3.99 each and comes with 15 skin sets with a limited time to purchase for a month or two. Same thing with the disks, 3 mos. With 25 illuvatars in it. That is absolutely amazing.

Am gonna have to start fading onto DOTA 2 purchases and start saving for some 1st Generation/ Wave 1 Illuvium Assets lol. Im very excited to see Illuvium outgrow DOTA 2 in the future. Well done!

we haven't finalize it yet, but the idea is that this guys are scattered around the world, and time to time you'll find them and will have an option to catch them using mozart (similar experience as harvesting or mining)
They will have some spots that they will gravitate towards, similar to real life bugs and ants I'd say. And also will react to the player behavior.

Also if you remember from the concepts that Grant shared last showcase, there is different version of morphopods. Some are crawling, others flying.
This 'simple' step should add much more life into the OW relatively easy to do. In combination with moving plants I think it'll look pretty sick.

This is a mechanic designed to make it challenging if you want to go fast. If you go very slow then it won’t affect you at all. You plan your route and you’ll be fine. If you want to rush, things become trickier.

We need skill to be rewarded in the OW but also it is a pack of cards and we don’t want “bad” players to be significantly disadvantaged. This helps achieve that goal.

Basically plan out your run, get organised, go to the outer areas first and do them. Finish your last 20% of energy near the centre, that way you have the most time possible.

That’s all good, can i ask, is the reason we haven’t seen any leaks of pvp yet because its behind in development and there’s not much to show? Or is it perhaps a case of they don’t want to go down the leaks path like other illuvium areas, and they would rather show it to us once its closer to final stages?

I’m very happy to wait, just curious cause we have always seen early development leaks and behind the scenes of most other areas of illuvium which is one of my favourite traits of the project and team.

Mostly because there is not much to see. You play Illuvials down on the board, your opponent does the same. Battle ensues.

The actual gameplay is very different, but from a visual POV - not too much different.

So makes more sense to just get it good and then let you all experience it via gameplay vs leaks.
