Illuvium lore:

Andrew mentioned that people can already piece together the lore of Illuvium if you have a keen eye, but people havent really given it enough thought.

Here's my feeble attempt:

Beginning: a spaceship (the one grant is building) crash lands on an unknown planet. Note the spaceship has no guns and holds no tank vehicles, it is meant to transport large volumes of troops (the players, rangers) across big distances in space (which is why it has this aerodynamic shape). The rangers would have been out on some kind of military mission specialized for infantry operations, hence their uniformity in suits and weapons.

The players are there against their will, they are either enslaved, domesticated, or their family is held hostage (think storm troopers/wagner group). Most rangers just want to get off this planet (hence ILZ doesn't produce apartment buildings, only things that generate or distribute resources).

To get off the planet, rangers have to either build something to escape, or generate enough resources (eth) to craft something or hire someone to get them off the planet. The main resource in the game is ETH, which is probably a currency but could be a universal barter material too (like oil or copper IRL). The slogan for the game is fight for ETH, this is why there is an arena: rangers can battle here to buy their freedom. Some rangers will buy their freedom only to find out their family got killed (Aaron said the story will make you cry)

Rangers crash land in different locations (see trailer); they are in a zero sum race against each other for resources and freedom. Rangers don't have uniform motives; some rangers want to sell illuvials, some want to enslave them, whilst some simply want companion pets.

The planet is host or has been visited by an ancient advanced civilization (see Obelisks), which have the power to teleport (how gamers travel between regions) and to get to other parellel universes (this is how games 4-9 are accessed). It also has been the home of gigantic creatures (leviathans) which have gone largely extinct (see giant bones). One leviathan remains in each region (see the giant alive eyes in the art). Something also happened which devolved the Illuvials from giant-sized leviathans to smaller sized illuvials. These creatures are extremely rare or thought extinct in the universe (hence the bonding curve and the warwick brothers' love for animal charity)

I don't think they are on a military mission with large amount of troops. You already mentioned it, no visible weapons, and no tanks. Which doesn't mean anything since grant mentioned the ship morphes. Maybe the weapons are just not visible.
Maybe the ship is an Explorer class, or it functions as an ark because the homeplanet is close to the end of a war with another species, and they lost.
Maybe arlen got hunted from the invader species, and thats the reason for the crash on the illuvial Planet. Her ship just got damaged to much, and she has to "Land/crash on the Planet for a small Chance of survival.
The fact that we can "Make friends" with illuvials, and they fight for us let me assume we are a Part of a peaceful species. Or we just enslaved the illuvials 🤷🏻... but i Like the friends Part more 😬

I wonder if they'll be a kind of interim between that and what we currently have planned for launch - like have illuvials in overworld moving around but when we shoot them it triggers the autobattler instance just like the singularities do now. Illuvials would just need to be plonked in with some movement/directional pathing

The pathing would take a lot of work. Because they'd never release some dogshit walking backwards and forwards for the illuvials cos that just wouldn't make sense. Why would they just move on a set path whilst we walked up to them and shot them. It'd be a crap tonne of work to do to the illuvium standard

I think we'll see it in some form over the coming years. I can imagine them doing it for a rare illuvial, maybe a holo type of rare, and you might be lucky enough to hear one and then hunt it down. So that way they'd only have to do one or two at a time, keep it a secret so there would be no wens from the community & just drop them in over the months.

Imagine they dropped the 1st holo illuvial of set 2 into the overworld and hearing it off in the distance. It'd be an intense adrenaline rush that would! It'd make for awesome viewing on streams too 🤯

I'm starting to think that there will be too many good options for games. So maybe we can focus on providing an engine to people to build their own experiences might be good. I'd love to see many smaller genres of games being created without limiting the team output. Like roguelike mode for survival. Or clash royale style of pvp game. Where you put your illuvials dynamically. And many more that can be created if we're provided with the tools to do so.

Quality would drop massively. There's no guarantee that the outsource/studio would be up to standard.
For the first few years I think it's a terrible idea

And each game requires totally different code, the assets would remain the same but that not the engine

The concept of bringing characters/assets/NFTs from one ILV game to another (IBG) will be such a huge deal. I think many inside and outside the community are sleeping on this detail. Mario games in a half baked way kind of have this without ownership. Illuvium will show the world what this actually means when done completely.
