It sucks getting lumped in, but they aren't wrong. Most crypto games I've checked out are short sighted dogshit, and are structured as cash grabs. The narrative is being driven by facts. We need Illuvium and other games to bring quality to the space for the narrative to change. Equitable tokenomics and quality games have not been the norm, at least from the research I've done. There are some exceptions of course.

I doubt there will be substantial conversion through trailers etc, because those things have all been utilized by other projects too, and it turns out they don't guarantee anything. Real gamers will know gameplay footage, that's probably the best we can do to convince people pre-launch.

I'll play devil's advocate here: If they look through 25 projects and 24 of them are dumpster tier, it's easy for them to dismiss the entirety. If they are providing incomplete analysis, that's on them. I do think overall sentiment towards crypto gaming won't change until crypto games evolve into better games, like Illuvium. Once we're live and have people playing, sentiment can start to shift.

If those guys are doing technical and fundamental analysis of gaming investments without considering the things that make gamers actually want to play, they are fucking up. That's one of the cornerstones of evaluating crypto games as an investment. People actually have to want to play.

Hey, you can buy ILV and stake it, I'd say that's the best way to invest. Staking is currently paused for an upgrade to the contracts, but should be up relatively soon.

There are some NFTs that already exist, these are cosmetic only. There will be additional NFTs you can collect by playing the game, for things like Illuvials. Those NFTs will represent a piece of in-game gear, or an Illuvial, etc.
