Governance:
Together, we have the power to shape the future of Illuvium through our community collaboration on game improvement proposals as well as electing the initial model of governance, the Illuvinati Council.

Liquidity Mining:
Here, you will gain more ILV (or sILV). Additional ILV will increase your voting power in governance & increase your share of vault distributions.

Vault Distributions:
When you stake ILV, you share in Illuvium's success and earn a passive income of additional ILV, funded through in-game purchases and fees. Vault distributions will only be available from sales and once the game and Illuvidex are launched.

Collectible Illuvium NFTs are already available on Opensea https://opensea.io/assets/illuvium All are limited edition. The emotes and m0z4rt skin NFT's are redeemable in game. Upon use, these NFT's will be burnt when applied in game. This is only true for these emotes and skins as they were bonuses for the initial ILV token sale.

Illuvials are captured not bought. Everyone starts with 0. So if you want to buy them, you'll have to do so on the marketplace from others 🙂

This is something I’ve been curious about, how do you get your first tier 1 illuvial? I would need a strong enough illuvial to battle and defeat it meaning I’d have to grind a tier 0 up unless someone was selling a tier 1 but in the beginning that’s not likely. So that’s the question, do the first players who can’t use the marketplace yet have to actually grind to get to tier 1 and beyond?

well, no players will have Tier 1s in the beginning because we all start at the same point. You basically level up your T0s, until they are strong enough to beat T1s, then you pay to travel to T1s and start catching those. I don't see any other way for it to be done. You could speed it up by buying T0s though I guess? But you have to be strong enough to beat the T1 to catch it.

Keep in mind these chances are contingent upon someone solving a Millenium Prize problem that nobody is close to. There's an Autralian guy that has done some work, his IQ is about a billion and he can't even do it. So if you personally aren't working on this problem, you can adjust your odds down to 0. Possibly negative 1%

Find a T0. Punch it in the face until it is your slave. Do that a few times, level it up. Fuse it with more so that it is stage 2 or 3. Get a team of them. Then beat the shit out of the unsuspecting T1 Stage 1. Then work your way up the ladder.

You need to do all that stuff first though. Having a shard doesn't do anything if you don't win the battle. There will be people who are low level, use t5 travel, find a rhamphyre. And then get excited with their shard. And then find they have to beat the Rhamphyre, who then kicks the shit out of them.

Nothing free leads to the paid content. Otherwise bots would just farm free stuff all day and upgrade their paid stuff. If you want to fuse a Tier 1 - 5 you need to level it up and then find 2 of the same. Usually. There are exceptions.

And people are meant to interact with the economy, not do dailies for free money on tons of accounts and suck the life out of the economy. It's a horrible idea if you ask me.

If there's going to be quests, and there's only 1m ILV to give out (maximum) then it has to be something realistically that only 1% of the player base is going to do. Because 1m ILV may very well be about 1bil by then.

A lot of people are here from the Axie community and wondering about how to play to earn, and if that is strictly limited to catching and selling Illuvials, it limits the range of activities people can do to earn.

If dailies require some amount of ETH to complete (via travel etc.), it's not a net drain on the system.
The issue arises when you let FREE to play players earn.

In doing so, in fact, I would be able to circumvent the blocks of the normal ILV staking. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear ... I hope someone was able to understand 🙂

sILV is a substitute currency that can be gained as yield when staking ILV. In game, it can be used to pay for any fee (excluding IlluviDEX trades and Leviathan Arena wagers) that otherwise would be paid for with the main currency ETH.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

Just after game launch, when everyone starts fresh, you might even be able to sell free Tier 0 NFTs on the IlluviDEX for ETH, but there is no guarantee for that.

In Illuvium there will be several options to earn:

• sell captured Illuvials
• sell farmed materials
• sell crafted items
• play the marketplace (buy low, sell high)
• wager on battles in the Leviathan Arena
• earn some of the 1 Million ILV set aside for in-game rewards
• …

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

Early on you MIGHT even be able to get to the paid regions just by grinding the free Tier 0 regions and selling items from there because some people will pay for it on the IlluviDex to get ahead.

You can for sure play as much for free as you want. You will only be limited to Tier 0 then with MAYBE a chance early on to get some ETH from selling Tier 0 stuff and get into Tier 1+. If you spend money you have a good chance to get value back. No guarantee though that you easily can go "infinite" with just a bit of early investment. The value you gain per travel also depends on your strategy and skills so better players will get more out of each travel 🙂

Since actions in general cost energy and you could in theory capture more than one Illuvial per travel, I would expect a loss in an encounter simply mean that you wasted your energy and missed out on a capture.

You cannot look at token price alone. You need to look at market cap and compare that with the gaming market right now.

Correct. The marketplace will be called the illuviDEX which will be hosted on Immutable X. So once you deposit your ETH onto IMX, then you can buy any Illuvials that may no longer be available in the game as long as other players are selling them.

And sell any of your Illuvials as well!

Correct, no breeding.
There is "fusing" which will function as a burn mechanic... so kind of the opposite.
If you have 3 of the same Illuvial stage, you can fuse them to create 1 Illuvial of the next stage. (3 Stage 1s = 1 Stage 2)
Using pokemon as a reference, if have 3 Charmanders, you can fuse them to create a Charmeleon.

That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

When you energy is out. You need to pay for a new travel 🙂
