Illuvials are on a bonding curve which means with every copy found of a particular Illuvial it gets harder and harder to capture (this does not apply to free Tier 0 Illuvials). Also, Set 1 will eventually be phased out (roughly after a year) and those Illuvials can't be found any more at all.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

Sushi LP is a liquidity pool with higher APY - you're providing liquidity for trades, but there's a risk of impermanent losses because the price of ETH could spike while you have it staked.

Staking ILV you're not at risk of IL, but APY is lower.

sILV is a token that doesn't NEED to exist for the game to function, it's just an alternate way to claim your rewards and be able to make use of them in game without the waiting period.

I believe there was talk of being able to gain ILV through in-game activities, but the ways in which you can do so are pending.

you can use sILV for travel costs, or for something like curing a shard.

you can sell the illuvials you encounter in that region on the marketplace for ETH, you can also sell a cured shard on the marketplace for ETH. you can then use that ETH to buy more ILV, to turn into cash, anything.

so in a sense, yes, you can turn sILV into ETH/ILV/anything

Nice thing about SILV once burned it's gone forever so right, so decreases the supply of ILV. Up to a certain amount ofc. Lot of nice deflationary things about the game, that and fusing illuvials removing those lower tier illuvials from the game
