The fee won't be an issue once the game starts. You'll receive both rewards and a share of the revenue that players spend in game, all of which will (hopefully) take care of all the fees you've paid both for the game and had. But for that you need to be staked.

There is no problem with long-term vision. I don't think you understand the means of sILV in the first place. When staking ILV you gain rewards that pile up with every mined block. These rewards can be claimed as either ILV or sILV.
In order to support the longevity of the DAO and protect us against unnecessary dumps, any ILV claimed as staking reward are vested for 12 months. This means they are locked and staked in the ILV pool with a weight of 2.0 for compounding effect.
The option to claim sILV instead is a means to allow for immediate liquidation of your rewards by avoiding the 12 months vesting period. The tradeoff for that though is the fact that you don't get ILV but sILV instead and sILV are meant to be used in-game for anything that is normally paid with ETH (except for marketplace trades).

Yes, but not for a headstart. sILV is a means to get your rewards without a locking period. It cannot be used for anything that you cannot pay with ETH (the main currency) as well
