i dont think i finished any one of the 5 attempts over the years

first mistake is having them take forever to kill, and run into the other mobs, 2nd mistake is the fight with the ridiculous power bonuses, then you beat it, with 12 points remaining and 8 fucking edibles, you need a tier 5 shard to get a low pct chance on a Sear, and pop your shard, which you have very few of.. talk about just destroing your player lol

and you dont even need the sear, its just there and you dont feel like climing up a mountain 1600m away to get to the bounty which is the same headache

if you do get the sear one outta 20 chances... hooray, no omega, or health, 20 power.. w00t

many of those things you mentioned can be improved with getting a bit of skill and knowledge about how to handle things and 1 or 2 carry illuvials.

But i agree, currently with running overworld you barely get better value out of it than ADR if you are a pro at all the OW stuff.
If you are just a newcomer or just a casual, you most likely better just stick with Automated drone runs.

Team is focused on getting gauntlet in shape and unfortunately there are just not enough people playing OW currently to justify dev workload to make some things better in there.

Its a funny irony. When new updates are dropped it normally increases the playerbase. But since we drop it on testnet it kills the playerbase 🤣 . Then when its moved over, its boosting effect is nullified and things just return to some sort of weakened normalcy

It wouldnt be an issue if the testnet userbase was small, but its basically just a split between the thousands of OGs and the thousands of newcomers.

3. People have spent money and time into leveling. It need to stay. Alternatively, we can try reducing the effect of stats from level.

4. im OK with it. the trend in gaming is to offer convenience with a cost.

5. This is a nice feature to have. The more options to gain EXP the better. Like genshin impact

Hi Malo, I had this one a while back... If I remember correctly, it was pretty rare, so a bug report would be SUPER helpful for the guys to get some info on the matter if you can.
But sadly, I also had to run. I tried the encounter a few times after restarting to see if I could adjust things to force it to work, but it didn't seem to let me - I assume once it's bugged, the encounter is bugged.

Okay that seems very odd...
As much as it's not ideal, I would suggest changing the positioning of your team slightly (if you are doing similiar placements each fight) - or try replacing 1 of the illuvials on your team, as from my personal data, it seemed that is was perhaps something to do with a specific illuvial or placement that bugged me out.

Fully restart your game client after that run though, hopefully that can help

This skin goes on a Plating suit.
Buy or create any plating suit. The cheapest one is about .25 cents I think right now as it is a T1 suit.
After buying it you will have to put it in the suit slot and then hover over it with your mouse and press "X" That will bring up skin options. Left click your G-Shock skin and you are good to go.

Two things bring value to Illuvials, the time and money spent acquiring them.
It is true that right now we have a lot of low stat low value Illuvials. It's an issue and so people want to solve it by burning them for something better. However, we have to be really cautious of that.
If we try to make everything rare then all we do is make nothing rare. Without rarity, like perfect stats and/or perfect level, we will see Illuvials falling in price even more than they already have. It won't just be the low stat, low level ones either, it will be all of them.
Of course everyone wants every Illuvial with perfect stats and all at Level 60 and they want to do it easily like burning a bunch of .10 cent Illuvials to do it, but then what? It's better as a collectible for some Illuvials to have an aspect where there is a difficult to achieve rarity.

I'm not against burning Illuvials for XP points but the pain of doing it should be just as great in time and money as what it is to get to Level 60 by paying Illuvium to play the game.

Burning mechanisms indeed have to be very carefull thought out.
I feel burning an illuvial for xp could be explored, but just the exp the illuvial already has gathered and cap it at x amount of exp.
i don't think it's a good idea to let consumers burn lvl 1 illuvials for exp. and T0 should be excluded, otherwhise exp loses it's value totally.
Main way of getting exp for your illuvials should always be that you play with those illuvials, it keeps customers engaged and can be an economy of it's own via marketplace.

I much rather like burning mechanics for ingame stuff.
Kinda like if you wana get honor for x faction, you need to set illuvials free (burn them) to get x amount of honor in that faction.
Or introduce genetic trees for illuvials and in order to get those attributes/skills you need to burn those illuvials.
It's easier to cap the burns in mechanics like that and not just let everyone burn all bad-mediocre illuvials so they get exp to make ones main illuvials stronger.
Cause as you outlined, we need bad stat, low Level and common illuvials, otherwhise there are no good stats/ rare/high level illuvials.

I agree that forcing rarity on illuvials should not be the main goal. Rarity should come from an abundance of demand rather than the scarcity of the supply.

My focus was more on the current time consuming leveling up method, I simply do not have the time to do it. Parameters for gained experience after burning can be adjusted based on the burned illuvial level and make it so that it is not that easy to burn for MAX level but it is still reachable within reason. I think it is an interesting option specially for the many spared illuvials you get trying to reach the ones you want. Even right now buying off the market just to burn for xp could get really expensive and not very optimal specially for the higher Tier/Stage ones.

I hope that the new MMO Lite substitutes the current leveling up method with something more damage and difficulty progress oriented.

you probably could do some math, somewhere you can see the theoretical droprates.
scale it up to 1k runs and you likely get a roughly average you should get.
But even then, if you do "just" 100 runs you can be very very lucky or very very unlucky.

It is time consuming which is what makes it an actual achievement to reach it. Not everyone is supposed to have all Level 60 Illuvials unless they are willing to give a LOT of money to Illuvium either through playing enough to level them all or by buying off the market, or paying someone else to play the Illuvials to level them (both of which means people are paying Illuvium for runs).
It's about how will Illuvium make money not whether we will have the teams we want. I think short-term doing a great Illuvial burn might bring in some money but long term I think preserving rarity is still the way to go even if I kind of hate saying that because leveling my Caradulo right now and watching it move soooo slowly is pain.
I do agree though, we need more people. With more people we would see even the low stat low level Illuvials go up in value.

It will be interesting to see what is planned with the new MMO Lite and levels.

Ok, I think we are confusing some things and it definitely have to do with me writing in a rush because I was on the move. I do not argue that it has to be time consuming or monetary expensive to reach lvl 60 but there needs to be a real sense of progress and some fun to get there that the current Over World is definitely not giving me, maybe to some, but not the majority that I've talked to, that's why we are pivoting to MMO lite. That is the reason I only do auto drone runs now.

AGREE It is ALL about how Illuvium makes money, but I think no burning mechanic or keeping the current status quo will address this issue, I don't really care about illuvials burning for exp, it was just a quick response to a message. We get tangled in little mechanics that we miss the root of it. Value is given by people so the game needs players and for that we need to 👉 Finish Arena (without bugs), Get it to Mobile, Get the MMO lite and get everything in-game, after achieving this then I'll gladly go in depth with any extra mechanics. You and I are skin lovers so that would be my go to after the core things are done 😉

For example: a player is selling an amazing level 61 Illuvial,

They won’t see it.

Anyone who hasn't seen the @split lintel interview with the council nominees should check it out https://x.com/illuviumio/status/1920940184147030433. One thing that struck me is that some of the candidates were very critical of the current direction & strategy for Illuvium but didn't have much in the way of solutions or alternatives. When you spend 90% of your time talking about what isn't working and 10% vaguely covering what the solutions might be, it doesn't instill confidence that you will be useful on the council. That was an eye opener and will help me decide how to vote.

Yeah this happens to me as well, like 3-4 crashes a day.
Screen freezes and all you can do is to open Task manager and kill the proccess.

If it wasn´t web3, should give up on Gauntlet and use all resources for that MMO-lite or do game design on Arena with what was learned from Gauntlet patches.

Web3 gives you people who play/test a game because web3, similar to how some people just don´t like any mainstream game etc. and being better than other web3 games is very possible.

If web2 only competing in a small genre vs one of the biggest companies, with established IP, netflix shows, multiple games running etc. seems incredibly unlikely to work if you essentially want to clone the game instead of making your own new niche, like Ascendant would have been.

Known Leviathan Mode Bugs to Watch For and Report Today

1️⃣ Levels are not working. The easiest way to notice this is by checking the Omega Power stat.

2️⃣ You receive an Illuvial of the wrong level instead of the one you selected at max level.

3️⃣ Augments are lost when fusing Illuvials.

4️⃣ The "Shift" key doesn’t work when checking stats of certain Illuvials (no detailed info is displayed).

5️⃣ In some rounds, the losing player takes no damage.

⚠️ Training in Gauntlet Leviathan starts in 5 hours and 10 minutes.
