For me playing is still fun no matter the patch. Some patches are more enjoyable some less. I would still play even without rewards, just to compete. It’s like a love-hate relationship as with any game I’ve played. If you hit a bad day unlucky RNG, touch some grass and next time you’ll play again with a different mindset

I rated Arena how I feel today which may change as I get more used to it.
I'm not a good player. I have never played TFT. I don't think you are building arena for me anyway, I'm not the target market.
That said here's my thoughts. I do like the idea of combining the little squares to build an augment. I think that is more interesting than just 3 cards shown at the beginning but we do need more time for it. I feel rushed. I end up clicking quickly and making bad choices. However, that may just take time, practice and a better feel for the augments in general. I am not sure about picking them up off the board, sometimes I don't see them well and I don't feel like it adds to game play but it's OK,m ore of an ambivalent thing for me.
I dislike the whole put the augment on the bench thing. I don't want to give up a space to an augment.

You don't have to combine them each time you get 2 components, you can wait for better fusions instead
It's a bit luck based so yeah you could be unlucky 🫡

Try watching some content on YouTube, it could help.

But really focus on letting your gold go above 40 or so, level up to 6-7 when its possible. And try to get Illuvials of the same class (Fighter/Rogue/Bulwark/Empath/Psion)

Behemoth is so stupid man. The game is literally a behemoth bingo unless someone hits 4 mystic or 4 frost or some absurd thing. Otherwise just a behemoth chip with the shield is such a crazy thing

Practical advice for you: enter a match, choose a player from the top of the table, observe what he does and copy.
