An example of completing a set

So imagine you are a big dog and think you can catch all the tier 5s for the big bonus. So you go out and catch them. There are 18 illuvials you need to catch to complete the tier 5 set. 6 lines (the animal types) each with 3 stages (stage 1 the small ones, stage 2, and stage 3 the big ones). You will need to have them all. Maybe you catch three stage 2 and fuse them to get a stage 3. Nice. Maybe you then need to fuse three of your stage ones to get a stage 2 because you just used them all to fuse to get your stage 3. But now you have them all. All 18. Good job. 15,000 points.

And you could do that again. 18 more. And again. 18 more.

please.. I need some clarification.
When trying to capture an Illuvial there are 2 animations. One is the "sucking in" the illuvial. And then there is mozart trying to keep it in.
It seems to me that the percentage given is only for the second part. Is the first part really calculated for both?
My resplendant shards for T5 stage 1 is 49% chance right now. I did use about 50 of them and did not come close to 49% so far (may be bad luck). Whenever they got like "sucked in" the number is actually way closer to the 49%.

You have to travel either of the islands, always check on the heat map. Short cut key "M" for map and "H" for heat map. The more reddish the map, the more shards you get.
